sometimes i wonder why Mazinkaiser exists and then I remember it was made wholecloth for srw itself by mixing getter rays and photon power in a blender

then i remember they did the same thing for mazin emperor g except this time to fight the hellspawn that is ZERO

Super Robot Wars V is especially fun to play right now in the context of Gqux, because SRWV has an explicit plot point that Amuro Ray was sent hurtling through space and time to an alternate version of his timeline as a result of the Axis Shock event.

The very first non-Japanese mecha series in Super Robot Wars is the Filipino Voltes V Legacy, since the re-edited version of the show was apparently fairly popular in Japan. Granted, it’s for the mobile game, but maybe it will be DLC for Y.

Super Robot Wars Y launches August 28 - Gematsu

Strategy RPG Super Robot Wars Y will launch for PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC via Steam on August 28, publisher Bandai Namco and developer Bandai Namco Forge Digitals announced.

Just watched the new trailer for srw y... ngl I was a bit unsure whether I'd pick it up day 1 after the nintendo direct trailer but all the old school lads being here makes it an instant buy for me again

My old SNES srw soul is so happy! The gang's all here (except dragonar but you know I'll take what I can get)

And literally it’s just Koji being the dad of the gang, Hyoma being the baby brother and Ryoma being the asshole older brother tormenting him.

Y'know, it doesn't surprise me that Kamille is good with Puru and Puru 2. I think it's a nice little callback to how he took care of Rosamia, but also in that you can tell that he wants the cyber newtypes to be happy.
