Thank you for the comment! I never really know what tags to use, so I stick to my default ones. I might've tagged a story incorrectly as a talking post instead of a writing post, I'll check that.

Hi, I just saw one of your ziferblat posts and decided to give a tiny explanation about their name. Because bless your heart for trying with Ukrainian versions but it's just not it 😭. (It's not criticism in any way just thought you might be interested)

So, for the names, Danya is a short form. His full name is Daniyil (it is the correct transliteration), but his passport most likely says Daniil, because nobody in Ukrainian passport services cares about correct transliteration. In Ukrainian it's Даня for the short and Даніїл for the full form. Danylo is not his name it's just a similar one that has the same shortage. But honestly he so dgaf as long as nobody calls him Valya.

Valya is a short, full one is Valentyn (not Valentine). I've seen foreigners using Val, but it is not commonly used for the short form. Valik is but Valya hates it). It's Валя (valya) and Валентин (Valentyn).

Fedir (Федір) is a full form and Fedya (Федя) is a short one, but he also seems to not really like the short form. Guys ususaly call him fedis in conversations and when talk about him between themselves. His surname is Khodakov (Ходаков).

However, if you've really seen my Ziferblat writings - I write Danya and Valya's names as Daniil and Valentyn, I've never written it as Danylo or Valentine. I stick to the names I see the most for them, and I actually use Daniil for Danya because I think it looks beautiful. I appreciate your concern though. I'll double check so I can correct any writings of the names.

If you're referring to the tags - I've used the different spellings of Danya's name because that way I can try and reach people that know him by one variation or the other. But I always write the two balls of Ukrainian chaos as Daniil and Valentyn. They're beautiful names 💙

I'm gonna take some time here to talk to you about my personal life. I don't have much of a busy life - I take only one class, two days a week, I study Slovene, I have singing lessons, a workshop of a traditional theater technique that's typical of the region where I am (and where we are getting a performance ready for July), and then I also have an improvisation group where we get together and jam. Still, it's easy to feel overwhelmed, more because I am autistic and masking is harder these days for me. I come here to write and unwind.

Lately, though, I feel as if I have to bring something everyday and if I don't, I'm letting you all down.

But today, since I've woken up feeling sick from anxiety, I have decided to do something I didn't want to do - I'm closing my requests until I complete all my pending ones. As of today, I have 40 requests I haven't replied to yet and another one in my Dms that I wanted to get to but wasn't able yet. I want to be able to provide for quality work for everyone.

This being said, my askbox is still open for any questions or comments! Just, don't request anything. This is not a permanent closure, this is just temporary, I promise. So if you have something you'd really like to read, please keep it in a note pad or something and send it to me as soon as the pause period is over!

I hate to do this, because I feel like I'm letting you guys down or that I'll lose followers because I'm putting a limit, but I assure you all, the content won't stop coming. I'll do my best to give you all what you want, while taking care of my own mental health.
