Sam sat at the fire, a bottle in one hand, whilst he rested the other on the ground. It was one of those rare moments, where they had managed to find some alcohol and just relax in each other’s company. At times it almost felt like a camping trip or maybe it was just what they had hoped for. His focus was suddenly stolen by a piece of paper that was shifter to him by Julia and he opened it to check the contents.

(Maxwell finds Julia more cute than anything else. While he would consider her attractive, its more of in a platonic sense. Like he’s acknowledging that she is attractive without feeling attracted to her himself... if that makes any sense..)

The crackling of the fire and the turning of pages were really all that was heard as Mary and Julia read quietly. Mary was sitting on the ground with a copy of Alice in Wonderland in her hands, one of her favorite books. She found it in the Preschool area and grabbed it on the way out. Part of her lamented that Alice got the cool trippy adventure while she and the rest of the survivors got grabbed by the Entity. Nothing much to really do about it now, right? Mary rather enjoyed the downtime between trials as it gave the survivors time to rest and not have to worry about death for a bit.
