📝🌸💖Hi everyone! I thought I’d share this excerpt from the chapter I uploaded today! Check it out, I promise it’ll be worth it!😉 Let’s get you wrapped up in this complicated romance brewing in my mind

🚩smut

Shane leans his weight on the hand he has placed above your shoulder, his arm held steady against the shifting of the sand. The air feels thick between your face and his as you both look on in silence. Every detail of him is so much more complicated in this proximity. Scruff in multicolored cool tones contours his jaw and chin. Pinkish lines rim his tired eyes that lead downward into deep purple and burgundy. The color of his under eyes tell of a restless night alone, or even that he had been crying previously in the day. Here in the dark, you try and slow time so you can stay here forever, memorizing every detail of him.

The slight rough texture of his fingertips awaken your skin as he traces a line across your jaw and chin, ending just below your bottom lip. Intensity fires in his eyes where they are looking above you. Shane slowly closes the distance between you, resting a delicate kiss on your lips. Together your lips rest gently, only moving enough to let the moment consume you. He is so gentle, being mindful not to touch you too roughly or increase the weight of him on you.

His head falls away from the seemingly endless kiss and rests beside your ear. Deep sounds of pleasure whisper through him as his hot breath tickles your neck. The noises he makes are nearly animalistic, responding to an instinctive need for you. The world feels as though it slips away in the moment of your touches. There isn’t a single person in the world other than him, the one who answers your need and holds you as though you are the only one he wants. Euphoric symphonies of sparkles shoot through your bones and encapsulate the sensations of him pressing against you.

thank u and im really sorry this took a bit! both sam and cloud have a connection to flowers but i decided to go with sam! also a bit of explanation on characters who are mentioned, sebastian and abigail are sam’s friends, lewis is the mayor of the town, and elliott is another bachelor who lives there

Sam + Flowers

Sam hovers nervously near the edge of the field, trying not to act like was watching the entrance. He had put on his best floral-themed shirt this time, and even tucked it in. Sebastian had called him a 'dork' for this, but Sam really really wanted to -

Well. Really wanted to impress the new farmer. Andrew lived on the old farm just outside of town, arriving a good week or two after the other three farmers had gotten there. Sam knew all their names, but saw Andrew the most around town. Sometimes, Andrew would give him stuff, like a soda or a pretty rock. Sam wondered if Andrew was doing this on purpose, or if he was just really nice.

So Sam's crush was really no secret to Sebastian, who is leaning against the fence, watching his attention switch between the entrance and the flower crown in Sam's hands.

"Is that for the farmer?" Sebastian asks, gesturing to the flower crown with his soda.

"Yeah, do you think he'll like it?"

"Look. Sam. He'll like whatever you give him. He's been flirting with you since he got here."

Sam sighed, glancing up at the entrance again. "I keep telling you, he hasn't been - "

"Did you take your allergy meds?" Sebastian interrupts, "You actually seem okay with all the flowers today, and not like, sneezing up a storm."

Sam sniffles on reflex, "Yeah. I can't have Andrew see me like that, you know?"

From behind him, Sam barely hears Mayor Lewis go, "welcome to the flower festival!" and when Sam turns around, he realizes that Andrew and his friends are here. A couple of them have dressed up, Sam... thinks? One of them is in a cute crop top thing, and another is in a ball gown. A little weird, but then again, Sam didn't know much about farming. Andrew is wearing his typical getup, jean shorts and sneakers and a tucked in shortsleeve buttonup with suspenders. He's wearing a hat, too, a backwards baseball cap that Sam doesn't remember seeing before.

Next to him, Sebastian makes a 'oop' noise and moves away, huddling with Abigail as they both watch Sam's reaction.

Andrew and the other three huddle around the booth for a minute, and one of them buys a scarecrow. Andrew doesn't really seem interested, instead turning around and looking around at the crowd. Sam is surprised when Andrew notices him and he smiles, waving to Sam and then jogging over.

Sam just barely manages to collect himself when Andrew arrives.

"Hey, Sam, how's it going? This is really pretty," Andrew comments, turning again to look at the field, surveying the flower garlands on the fences and almost everyone in their nicest clothes.

"This is your first flower festival, right? And I'm glad you like it - my allergies are pretty bad, but I usually help set up." Sam glances at the flower crown in his hands, wondering when a good time to give it to Andrew is.

"Oh really?" Andrew asks, leaning against the fence. "That's so cool. The flower garlands, too?"

"Mm-hmm!" Sam affirms, nodding, and notices Sebastian and Abigail giving him a thumbs up from over Andrew's shoulder. "I made this for you, too," he says, holding up the crown.

Andrew takes it from him gingerly. "Oh, you didn't have to do that, Sam! I love it. Here," he says, handing it back to Sam and leaning down a little, "I don't know if I can get it right myself, just put it on my hat."

Sam obliges, and the crown fits perfectly around Andrew's baseball cap.

"Good?" Andrew asks, straightening up, and Sam can only nod and try not to blush. "Actually, I came over to ask you something - do you want to dance with me today?"

"Um, well, I - " Sam falters, not sure if he was hearing correctly. Surely there was someone else that Andrew would want to dance with more, like Elliott. Elliott was probably a great dancer.

"You don't have to, but I thought I would ask," Andrew continues, looking sheepish.

"Sure!" Sam finally manages to get out. Sebastian and Abigail give a silent cheer.

"Awesome!" Andrew says, bouncing a little in place, "Well I'm going to go say hi to people, but I'll see you once the dance starts!"

Sam watches Andrew jog over to his friends to show them the flower crown first, and for the first time, actually thinks he might like the flower festival.
