vox and rosie are horrible oversharers with zero sense of personal privacy, meanwhile alastor shares something about himself once every decade and it's so heavily cloaked in innuendo that they don't even realize he's divulged a secret for weeks afterwards

I have weird feelings abt shipping Valentino. I firmly believe the only characters that are really. Okay to ship with him are the other Vees and maybe Niffty. Like Im not gonna go around attacking other ppl abt it, rlly if you see content you don't like the best thing you can do is block and move on, but I still don't like the idea of him in a relationship to the point where even the ships involving him I DO support are on thin ice(hence why Velval and Staticmoth individually are so low). That being said I am nothing if not a sucker for dysfunctional polycules(I will DIE ON THE POLYVEES HILL TOO, FUCK YOU!!!!!!), and the idea of Niffty terrorizing Val and being kinda like his horrible purse dog(thanks @/kibbles-bits lmfao) is funny asf, so I am willing to make exceptions on my no shipping Val stance lmfao.

Velmilla is in the NOTP section because the theory that Velvette is one of Carmilla's daughters is compelling enough to me that I don't feel comfortable shipping them at all, but I did stripe it w/ "maybe?/neutral" bcuz if that theory ends up being undeniably disproven next season then there's probably some potential there Idk

Husk x Alastor is a NOTP bcuz I think enough parallels between Val and Alastor have been pulled that the ship is iffy at BEST. Like it's not an immediate block if you ship it but it is kind of a red flag to me. Dont feel as much vitriolic disgust towards it as I do other NOTPs tho so it's also in the not for me section.

I forgot to draw friend lines between Niffty and Charlie/Vaggie smh... I also forgot to draw one between Pentious and Vaggie/Husk wtf- WAIT I ALSO FORGOT TO PUT ONE BETWEEN HUSK AND VAGGIE FUCK-

qpr alastor/rosie/vox sillies, from the universe of my au:

alastor walks in on rosie & vox kissing once and makes a sound of startled horror so high pitched that it blows out vox's speakers and deafens him for a week. rosie's fine tho

alastor and rosie always cook together while vox sits at the table (exiled from kitchen for food crimes) and watches them with hearts for eyes

rosie dresses up al & vox like dolls

when all three of them dance together, vox and alastor make a game out of trading rosie back and forth in increasingly competitive ways as part of an ongoing argument over who the better lead is (it's rosie)

vox's stance on cannibalism is "if it doesn't look or taste like human flesh then don't tell me what's in it" and rosie/al let him live in a world of blissful ignorance about what exactly goes into those cannibal town pastries

when alastor is in a touch averse mood he'll put up a pillow barrier between himself and rosie/vox cuddling in bed so he can still be close without being uncomfortable

all three of them get into spirited debates about tv vs radio vs literature as the best medium for entertainment

vox is frequently rendered insensate with flustered shock every time he sees rosie or alastor dressing up for any occasion. sometimes they coordinate this on purpose just to watch vox go speechless & his entire screen turn bright pink

the gossip potential of staticrose is unreal. cannibal town has no cameras, so it's one of the last bastions of privacy in hell, and vox's insatiable need to know everything all the time means he trades rosie information he harvests from his tech products for cannibal town secrets that he can't get anywhere else. they have tea every wednesday and violate everyone's privacy gleefully together. vox has long-running character arcs that he's invested in. rosie gets the latest hot gossip on every prominent overlord in the city and all the minor ones besides. if you manage to piss off both of them, you can say goodbye to your entire reputation and also the flesh from your bones

or, a continuation of time has changed the metaphor, where alastor is dragged kicking and screaming into emotional honesty, vox grows a spine and is Very Proud of Himself, and rosie is so unbelievably sick and tired.

no one's mentioned this yet, but this is one of my favorite bits from time has changed the metaphor — rosie calms vox down from a panic attack with a hand over his heart, and then seven years later vox does the same thing for alastor when he's panicking. they mean the world to me <3
