For example, the most egregious of these choices are letting Emmrich become a lich and encouraging Harding to embrace her anger over compassion; whereas, she encouraged Taash to embrace Rivaini culture is because that's exactly what she did, and she wanted Neve to step into the role of hero because it's what commoner folk need in times like these (and with her experience of being a Tevinter galley slave, it makes sense that she'd see it that way). The archive with Bellara and the Gryphons staying with the Wardens for Davrin because she believes that having these things belonging with their respective people/faction of origin is important. (And unfortunately, because Lucanis was hardened, she didn't get a say in what happened with Illario).

But ultimately, no one really gets into her background, no one pushes about her experience and how it informs her decision-making, or how it may affect her outlook on life. Ilona's a survivor, and she's sailed the seas in search of fortune, but she's never really talked about it - and it's why she feels it really, really shouldn't be up to her.

HM. neither of them really inspire concern or doubt, but in different ways. neve’s aloof and mysterious and knows her way around the streets. she tends to land on her feet in really Terrible situations, even when she really, really shouldn’t.

rho’s just definitely not a golden retriever. they’re either suspicious and formal with strangers, or outright mean. extremely smart but also extremely stubborn, and impossible to miss (follow the trail of destruction). they were a grouchy, cynical petty criminal before they were with the shadows, and now that they’re there, they’re a grouchy, cynical revolutionary instead. most importantly: they don’t really operate without a leash supervision, whether that’s their dad’s good name, or with the shadows’ help, or even solas. they’re deeply loyal and affectionate to a very few, but once they get there, they’re ride or die no matter what.

(it plays off very. interestingly!! neve’s like “omg why am i leading you into my danger” and rho’s just pleased that someone’s keen to have them around. the danger literally didn’t even occur to them. on the flip, rho’s like. every neurotic working dog. there are arbitrary Sins they do that make them suddenly go “aw now it’s over!!! i messed up and i’m going to get run off again” and neve—who believes in people against all reason—is like why would you get run off??)

Also funny to me how many people say shit like “well, as a person of 4 different disadvantaged/oppressed groups, my life is actually worse for living within the imperial core” as if they feel like it somehow puts them on the same level as African children living in overcrowded mud huts and working all day in open lithium mines for dollars per week and it absolves them of any guilt or need to be class conscious at a global scale. I think the “oppression Olympics” mindset where people just want to earn as many pity points as possible is much less common than people with some degree of empathy feeling guilty and looking for ways they can ease their guilt without having to take any action or make any sacrifices

it’s after midnight so let me be a bit unpopular. back half of severance s2 is fumbling a bit, largely bc of how they’re handling cobel, but also bc we keep getting blue balled w reintegrated mark.

ALSO! very curious how they’ll handle s2 since whether Gemma escapes or dies, mark will effectively have no reason to go back down there, and you don’t need MDR without mark. Helena surely won’t return, Dylan is dead I guess, and Irving is on a train to ???? so, getting all of them back to the severed floor (if that’s the ultimate plan) will take a lot of writing work. but since they created that problem I assume they have a plan for it. guess we’ll see!

So ive been looking a long time for this fic, one where Hermione takes on a job for an unknown employer and moves into his house. She doesnt know she works for Snape, but the companies name is an anagram for Severus Snape. Hermione isnt looking after herself very well and there is a healthpod in her chambers that she needs to use so he can check her health.

She had some issues with an ex boyfriend (not Ron) and Snape protects her, is very sweet in this fic and protecting.

i don’t think leaving the crows entirely is in the cards for magpie and lucanis but i can see a post game future where lucanis gives up the first talon seat, probably after caterina dies and he’s been forced to actually Do His Job as first talon for a couple of months and has a breakdown about it lol. i think after that he and magpie just like, operate more or less independently but are still technically crows. because magpie simply will not leave while viago is there. that isn’t an option. but if lucanis giving up on being first talon is what keeps them both sane and allows them to spend more time with neve she could do that. so probably they just live out their days killing blood mages and cultists across tevinter for insane sums of money and in between help neve solve her cases and still host family dinners with viago and teia occasionally :)

so. woke up this morning to an email notification that the etsy shop i made specifically for EU/UK orders has been suspended.

for reasons they’re not willing to elaborate on besides a vague “violation of etsy terms of service.”

(if it was copyright infringement it would tell me and suspend my listings, not sink the whole shop. i’ve done my best to follow their rules and learn their platform.)

there is no support number i can call. there is no email except through the site, for other issues besides suspension. i can file an “appeal” option through the site, to promise to do better or whatever or say i’ve resolved the issue, but i don’t know what it wants from me and once i send that appeal, whatever decision happening on the other end is final. there’s no do-overs.

“if you think this suspension is in error, please contact the help center” well i do. but im afraid of that not being a solid enough defense.

i’ve already made some sales through etsy, and i have no idea what’s going happens to though. they’re still showing up on my shipping software, but with the comments i’m reading about, will etsy even give me what it owes me? after the “180 days as per policy” of withholding funds is over?

i just don’t know what to do.
