yo weird thought i just had-

if y’all look at the people that the dead poets tend to be friendly with that’s outside of the dead poets society, the two people that stand out are stick and spencer

they’re the only two characters we see interacting with the dead poets the most- like i know y’all remember when knox threw a paper ball at spencer, when stick was the first person waiting as charlie was walking out of nolan’s office after his punishment for the “call from god” stuff he pulled, and stick is even in the background acknowledging the conversation and smiling when knox broke the news to the dead poets that he read his poem to chris

to add onto this, stick and spencer are the only two other people that sit at the same lunch table as the dead poets meaning that they were there when the dead poets found keatings yearbook picture and questioned what the dps was. they were the only people that we know of that heard about the dps but never actually joined it- if they really cared to, they could’ve been the ones that pieced the puzzle together from the article that charlie published in the school paper that those seven friends were the dps and they secretly knew it the entire time but probably didn’t question or care for it until it was brought up

Okay been working on this for a while. I’ve been looking at the actors and trying to pick out who’s who so here is a mostly completed Seating plan of Keating’s Classroom based on pure guess work.

I’m pretty sure this is correct based of the images of the entire classroom

And then I’ve tried my best to get the names for all the boys. There is 19 out of the total 20 boys’ names on the imbd so somebody was forgotten and I’ve just made a guess.

Here’s the names. Red is a name I’ve headcanonned because there was a name missing, blue is ones I’ve guessed at from actors appearances and names in the credits and Black is ones I know for definite. Spencer has a different name in the movie but I changed it for obvious reasons. He also has been called Allen I believe which is also a cool name.

From what I know, Shroom is the darts guy that I think has been given the fan name Daniel Ham Stanley and “ace” was the boy playing the recorder during the scene where Neil stole Cameron’s work and runs around the room. The other boys watch while “Dewey” claps along.

Edit: the boys that stand on their desks at the end are Jonus, Shroom, Russell, Hopkins, Stick, Spencer, Meeks, Pitts, Knox, Todd.

how does it feel to be so pretty that people create a personality and lore for your character without a single line?

Stick

I like stick, though he never has a line. He is very kind, genuine, authentic.

He is responsible and trust-worthy, Keating always hands task to him, like handing pieces to boys at the football scene.

He is quiet but not like Todd who deep inside thinks himself worthless.

he has a humor, a bit of mischievous

how he carefully holds chessboard is so cute.

He cheered for Neil's getting his part. he worries about Charlie. He is a true friend

He always smiles.

At the final scene, he stands up to with such a beautiful smile.

He is willing to try anything once, like eating noodles with left hand.

I think he is a soft-hearted boy also with a strong and firm will. No one can change his mind easily. He has a rebellious soul.
