just a side note before we get started; joe's hair went through it's own character development during this season, hahaaa.

okay, let's get into it while i'm still jamming to stummer's playlist. spoiler alert;

I take the photo from him and notice the brighter image that has been zoomed in more on the definite tall figure that mom actually described very well. Making a noise I whisper in my terrified awe “Holy shit” I flick my eyes to Nancy and lift the photo slightly “And this is what you saw in the woods yesterday?” She adjusts in her seat and nods, pointing towards it “Yes it’s exactly what I saw.” “It’s what mom saw too, right? How she described it, yeah?”

still wasn't right what johnny boy did BUT he did get the evidence summer was talking about

“So you like– like her like her don’t you?” I ask 

unpopular opinion that no one asked for so don't come for me ; i don't understand why they didn't just keep her single when the show started when she ended up having feelings for jonanthan not long after we see their first interaction.....

 “Well I happen to know she doesn’t view him as her boyfriend.”

I park the car in front of the house and make a face at the other car in the driveway “Who’s car is that?”

half expecting it to be steve at this point, tbh, but it could be hopper in a civilian car

When we walk inside my feet freeze halfway through the doorway, Jonathan crashing into my back with my sudden halt “What the hell Sum–” he stops when he notices what I do, the rest of my name a shocked whisper “–mer.” Mom is sitting on the couch– she, however, is not alone.

am i correct on my theory?

“Mom, what’s going on?” Jonathan asks, quickly followed by me asking “Why is he here?”

yes sir and ma'am! ask all the questions!

“You both really going to ask questions like I’m not in the room?” he half laughs,

yes. yes they are.

“What happened here?” “Don’t worry about that” Lonnie says and I continue to ignore him as I look only at her “Mom… that thing you saw last night, did it come back?” “Summer,” Lonnie warns, shaking his head quickly “That’s enough.” “Again, why are you even here?” 

excuse me, lawn, but... ya'know what? he's not worth it, lol.

Once we’re in his room, Jonathan shuts his door and immediately tells our unwanted guest “You need to leave.”

YASSSSS, JONATHAN!!!!!!

I scoff and cross my arms over my chest, leaning towards him ever so slightly as I let him know “Yeah, well, you being here, you’re just making things worse, like always.”

“Or whatever the hell you want to call it, Summer!” he shakes his head at me “But you do that and you’re gonna push her right over the edge. You hear me?”

boy, don't you dare started yelling at summer!!!! i will come through this computer/phone screen!!!

Jonathan knocks on my doorframe, pushing the door further open when I say to come in. “Hey” he says when I look at him in the mirror. I turn around and face him, smiling sadly with my own “Hey” back. He lifts up his tie and, looking down a little with his hesitation “Do you, uh– do you remember how to…?” “Yup, come here” I answer, waving for him to walk over and he wastes no time. He stops in front of me and lifts up his collar, laying the tie around his neck before lifting his chin up a little and out of my way.

i love everything about this interaction!

“I knew there’d be a Summer breeze today” Dustin says and I smile at him with my soft reply “Looking sharp, Dustpan.”

if you get rid of their nicknames, ma'am, i will fucking riot!

Lonnie doesn’t waste a second before standing up and shaking everyone’s hands, thanking everyone for coming and that we’ll see them at the rec center for the wake that’s been put together for us.

he's a fake ass bitch.

I roll my eyes and turn my back towards them, jerking my head back when I’m pretty sure I see who I think I see off across the roadway from me.

is it this little nugget right here?

I cross my arms over my chest and make my way over, walking around a tree before I come face to face with none other than Steve.

 “You trying to say you want to be my friend? We can’t be friends, Harrington.” “No– trust me, Byers, I know that… I just,"

are they my new favorite idiots or just favorite idiots 2.0?

“If you need to talk… I’m–” “Here” I finish for him when he trails off and he nods with my soft reply, slowly looking up and connecting his eyes with mine as he replies back just as softly “Yeah.”

i really love that fact that he's trying to be there for her and she's just "uh, no thanks"

I move my eyes between his, the silence stretching between us making me uneasy because I’m realizing it’s not awkward. 

~

“But I appreciate it.”

 “That’s all that matters.”

~

Hearing muffled shouting causes me to sit up on my bed, furrowing my brows as I try to get my bearings. I slide the headphones back to hang around my neck, recognizing that the muffled shouts are coming from the living room when mom yells “You were here for the money!”

such an asshole, lawn is, ugh..

I don’t even have time to process the hand hitting me across my face before the force knocks me to the side, the noise seeming to echo off the walls and in my ears at a ridiculous high volume. I stumble to the side and instinctively reach up to cradle my cheek, instantly pulling my hand back when the sting of my palm touching my swelling skin is like a punch to my gut.

Mom pulls me more into her side and yells back at him “Maybe I am a mess. Maybe I’m crazy. Maybe I’m out of my mind! But, God help me, I will never ever let you near my kids again,” she steps back with me, putting me farther away from him before she turns and grabs his bag from the recliner chair beside us, her eyes taking in the wall of lights and bringing her back to what he said earlier. She laughs once and points around “And I will keep these lights up until the day I die if I think there’s a chance that Will’s still out there! Now, get out!” she throws his duffle bag at him.

“He–” Hop stops and the anger fills his eyes like it usually does whenever Lonnie gets brought up “That piece of shit hit her?”

Hopper looks at mom, who shrugs at him and stammers out “It’s– it’s her decision” “Fine but if you change your mind–” he starts and I nod once “You’ll be the first person I call.”

“I went to the morgue last night, Joyce.” he states, looking right at her and she drops her hands “What?” Hop looks between us, his face taking an even more serious look while he declares “It wasn’t him.” “What– what do you mean?” I say and he looks from me and over towards mom “Will’s body, it was a fake.”

Hop looks between us, his eyes landing on mom as he says “You were right.” She leans forward, placing her hands on her knees and Hop scoots forward in the chair, making sure she hears every bit of his next words “This whole time, you were right.”

DAMN STRAIGHT THEY WERE RIGHT!

You were already feeling a little tired, so agreeing to Eddie’s offer of watching a movie seemed like the next best thing. As you walked back into the trailer, you set your stuff back down on the small kitchen table before walking to the couch, plopping yourself down while releasing a deep breath before yawning, “What did you want to watch?”

“None of that rom-com shit you like to watch,” he chuckled.

“Well, none of that horror shit you like to watch,” you retorted, smiling at the end to show him that you were joking.

He chuckled, sitting down next to you after he popped a movie into the player, the remote in his hand. Putting his arm around the back of the couch, he smirked, the trailers playing on the screen, the brightness of the screen lighting up his features.

Looking from him back to the tv, you groaned, a small bit of fear crossing your features. “Eddie. I hate this movie. Why would you pick this movie?”

“What’s wrong with this movie?” he asked, tapping his heels on the floor, his legs having been spread since he sat down.

“It’s fucking creepy!” you whined. “And I feel bad for the little piggie!”

“Well, I, for one, like the Horned King.” “Of course you would. The Black Cauldron is right up your freaking alley.” Crossing your arms, you scrunch your brows, wallowing in your discomfort causing Eddie to lightly chuckle to himself.

Not ten minutes into the film, and you were burying your face into Eddie’s shoulder, your hands up by your cheek. “Oh, fuck!” you exclaimed. This made Eddie chuckle, his arm wrapping around your shoulders, making your face go from his shoulder to his chest, your eyes peeking out from between your fingers. 

“Turn it off, turn it off,” you whimpered as the Horned King spoke on screen.

“How I’ve thirsted to be a god,” the Horned King said.

“You’re fucking creepy as shit, man! You’re no god! You’re just a devil with horns!”

Laughing, Eddie tightened his grip on your shoulders. “That’s the point, babe.” He didn’t mean to use the nickname, it just slipped out. Not that it didn’t feel good rolling off of his tongue.
