my favorite type of scene is when all four of them are onstage but two of them are having a conversation for the audience to hear and the other two are silently stagecrafting whatever they want.

#sfth #shoot from the hip #alexander jeremy #luke manning #sam russell #tom mayo #shootimpro #the hobnob affair #clarissa's diy wedding #are there any more from the youtube longforms that im missing i feel like there's gotta be more but i couldn't think of any #it really shows off their chemistry as a group when they're able to fade in and out of 2 separate conversations happening at once #without talking over one another. like i remember doing high school theater and scenes like these had to be meticulously blocked #out on stage. and even with a script there was sort of a rhythm to the way dialogue flowed so that things made sense to the audience #and no one accidentally talked over one another. and also so that there wasn't too long of a pause between lines #so the fact that they're able to seamlessly do this while improving is so cool to me #in the suspicious creme brulee the restaurant scene specifically comes to mind. and it's Chaotic and that's part of the comedy but still #it's so fun and so impressive. anyways another case of me yapping for way longer in the tags compared to the actual text of the post lmao

UAA YES i’m gonna be annoying about him i like him a lot …

the very basics of his character is that his mother was a viltrumite who mysteriously got pregnant one day and gave birth to a defective baby ( blind ) and died during the process n it’s kind of a hunchback of notre dame situation where ( at the time ) commander argall decides to spare him despite his disability because of his unbelievable psychic powers via this mysterious circumstance :-) argall becomes emperor and has him appointed to the archivist/imperial advisor, noting down all the societies and cultures they’ve destroyed as a way to record keep and sate argall’s fat ego. but because of the emperor’s paranoia, archivist has never left viltrum without escorts until recently, where he’s sent to record humanity and its history before its conquered. thragg absolutely HATES him but he can’t do anything about it because archivist has been here way too fucking long for him to try and get rid of him lol

i don’t know yet if nolan and archivist know each other or even when archivist makes his way to earth, but i imagine nolan would be curious of him, especially considering archivist’s circumstances. but that doesn’t mean he is weak whatsoever!! what he loses in sight, he more than makes up for with his psychic AND physical prowess, but he finds it that easier to do his job if he speaks with the doomed inhabitants of the planet he is on. he’s just a guy i think

Mapping is pretty tedious… I’ve made a little floor plan to make it a bit easier, but it’s far from final. Likely will have some downsizing done to it.

Having this in the program itself is fun because I can set the starting point in this at any time and test how nicely each of these rooms flow together. It’s also pretty surreal since it’s all placeholder tiles, smaller scale, and no separation between rooms.

Hmm I already see a couple things I want to change about it—

I keep humming and haaing about getting a gw2 tattoo for a first/second tattoo but it's a toss up of Commander symbols, elite spec symbols and the basass quotes in tyrian script
