So I saw the OTP tk ask game going around again, and I know this technically isn't how you're supposed to do it but I am. Brainrotting. About these two sO BADLY I HAD TO GET THIS OUT before I disappear back into the void lmao

1. Who has the cutest tickle laugh? Kazuha! His laugh and giggles are so airy and just the right amount of raspy uGH I wanna hear him laugh all day...

Wanderer's laugh is really cute too but man's screaming half of the time. Tho one thing that makes him almost cuter than Zuzu is that he starts hiccupping if you tickle him long enough~

2. Who is ticklish in unusual places and where would that be? I'm not saying that neck is an unusual spot, but I think Wanderer's made_in_Inazuma mark is ridiculously sensitive-- if Wanderer is acting bratty in public, Zuzu just uses his vision to make a gentle breeze brush against the spot and Wanderer stops whatever he's doing as if he slammed into a wall and turns to pout at the other sdfghfh But also when they're alone Kazuha LOVES peppering it with tiny kisses and Wanderer is in stitchessss hehe

3. Who gets cheer-up tickles? Wanderer 100% and it's so effective and he's sO GRUMPY ABOUT IT like my god he wants to be mad about it bc it doesn't fit his ✨️mean aesthetics✨️ but he can't help but just giggle and feel like his head is getting all fuzzy n happy when Zuzu scoops him up and gently tickles him all over until he's feeling better again

4. Who takes advantage of the other one getting their arms stuck while taking off their shirt? B o t h, but Wanderer definitely learned from Kazuha ahah. And they both wear so many layers that it's a weekly occurrence and at this point they're so used to both of them taking advantage of it that they just automatically start to panic a little when they realize they're stuck, so if the other hadn't noticed it on their own they sure would now sdfghj

5. How did they discover each other’s ticklishness? Wanderer was probably breaking records being annoying and buzzing around Kazu's head, provoking him in one way or another and he just got fed up and grabbed his ankle to pull him down, but to both of their surprise Wanderer fell out of the air on his very own accord (accompanied with an adorably uncharacteristic squeak, I might add) bc the feeling startled him so much lmao and Zuzu did NOT leave him be until he admitted he was ticklish (I think y'all can imagine how Kazuha coaxed that out of him~)

And afterwards Wanderer tried to tease it out of Kazuha too but he just straight up admitted with a chuckle that "ofc I'm ticklish" and Wanderer could Not wrap his head around how he wasn't even slightly embarrassed about it lmao

6. Who can’t take tickle bites? Kazuha oh my gosh, he melts in seconds. I also think that Wanderer's teeth are a bit sharper than normal so his nibbles are DEADLY. And he knows that.

7. Who has to be tickle-forced out of bed in the morning? Hmm, neither has trouble in the morning, but I think Wanderer has to be tickled INTO bed sometimes. Sure, he technically doesn't need sleep but Zuzu wants to cuddle at night and if Wanderer's being difficult about it (which he usually isn't bc Kazuha's cuddles are god tier) he just gets dragged to bed, locked into a hug and tickled until he gets tired enough to actually fall asleep himself too hehe

8. Who gives up in a tickle fight? Wanderer, the feeling still catches him off guard quite a bit, especially when it goes on for a while since tickling has been introduced to him quite recently, so if you manage to pin him down he's done~

But once he gets a bit more used to it he'll be a dangerous opponent for sure///

9. Who is in danger of getting hurt when attacking the other? Kazu, Wanderer f l a i l s. Not a single limb is left unused in his attempts of breaking free if you tickle him hard enough He'll still pout if you stop too soon tho

10. Who always provokes the other into tickling them and how? Wanderer~ His brattiness goes up a notch and he seems to find something to playfully bicker about over everything, and it all is accompanied with a faint blush (that he will deny to the end of time) and an occasional glance at Zuzu's hands. So subtle~

But Kazuha also somehow manages to provoke him into GETTING tickled from time to time. Don't ask him how, Wanderer has no goddamn idea but it just. Keeps. Happening.

you sigh when he rests his hands on your shoulders from behind you. you've been stuck at your desk for hours, steadily chipping away at your assignment. it's not very difficult, but it is tedious; the sheer amount of steps and subsequent writing you have to do has made your head spin for days. but it just so happens that the one day you find yourself making headway on the assignment is the day that kazuha decides that you should be resting.

whenever you push your chair out to stretch, kazuha's there at your side asking if he can steal you from your work for a moment; when you leave your desk to get yourself a snack, he tries to keep a conversation in an attempt to keep you longer than necessary -- hell, every time you so much as sigh, kazuha just somehow happens to be passing by to give you some attention.

you fully understand why he's so doting, and honestly, it's adorable. but duty calls, and he's distracting you. it's surprising that he's finally trying to stop you directly.

nimble fingers press gently into your shoulders, giving you a light massage. "you've been at this all day, dove." he's speaking really close to your ear. you don't know when he bent down, but the sudden noise makes you jump. "i'm worried that you're going to burn yourself out."

he has a point. this assignment isn't due for another week, so you could honestly pass on working for the day, but you've already started. "i won't. you don't need to worry." you reply, leaning your head back a little. you don't want to give in, but the massage he's giving you is working wonders. "let me at least get to a good stopping point, and then i'll call it quits for the day."

kazuha's fingers pause. he moves to your side and tilts your chin up to get a better view of your face. he looks concerned, and you suppose it's not unwarranted. "do you promise?" he asks seriously.

"mmh, promise." you give him your most convincing smile. you fully intend to keep said promise, too; you're getting tired of looking at all those words, anyhow.

you're about to turn back to your work when kazuha's thumb brushes over your bottom lip. you're aware of what that means. "kazuha..."

"indulge me for a moment, will you?" kazuha's eyes become slightly hooded as he leans closer. "just a moment. that's all i ask."

he may be telling the truth, but more often than not, one moment turns into three, and you'll never finish your work. so, just before he can kiss you, you raise your hand between the two of you, stopping kazuha in his tracks.

you giggle when his eyes blow wide. "let me finish first," you say again, "and then i'm all yours."

you can feel the way kazuha's lips push into a pout against your fingers, and it makes you laugh. you're not surprised, though, when kazuha pulls your hand away and kisses you properly to shut you up.

"you're cruel, starlight." kazuha pulls away slightly to mumble in the space between you. "i'm going to have to take another moment from you."

fuck it, you decide. the assignment can wait. you close the gap and kiss kazuha once more, chuckling when he hums contentedly. he pulls on you gently to get you to stand up and when you do, you find yourself trapped in his arms immediately.

"you're so needy." you mutter teasingly. "this 'moment' is going to end up lasting forever, isn't it?"

kazuha's grin is coy. "if that's how long it takes for me to get my fill, then so be it."

we already know bei learned to cook a little bit from xiangling but beidou is absolutely learning to cook more while her partner is sick. xiangling is there giving her cooking lessons while beidou’s partner watches <3 bei with that look of concentration and she’s so quick with the knives too i’m- okay but her spoonfeeding her partner?? *chef’s kiss* ;)

He smelled of lavender,maple leaves and sleep. “Ren- wanna go sailing later today?” You, being half asleep, pretty much just groaned in response. His arms around your waist, and pulling you closer to him,making you feel safe and loved.

TIMESKIP As you and kazuha were walking out of your house, he grabbed your waist and held you close, kissing you softly. Walking to the docks he looked for a smaller boat, more of a rowboat instead of a sailboat,but it was nice to just spend time with your beloved Kazuha.

As you were walking through Inazuma you were holding Kazuha’s hand, waving to the other locals. When you arrived at the restaurant, Kazuha led you upstairs and asked what you wanted. “Hmm- maybe some fried tofu, tricolor dango, and green tea!” You say excitedly. It was rare to actually go on a date with Kazuha, sure you went boating or went on a walk under the cherry blossoms but this was different. When Kazuha came back with the food, he had brought your food and a bowl of ramen for himself. (I DONT CARE IF THEY DONT SELL IT, IM NOT SURE BUT THEY DO NOW👹)

“Itadakimasu~” you both say in unison before eating. (It means ty for the food in Japanese, thts a rough translation) As Kazuha was eating his ramen he looked so happy. “Heeey~ can I have a bite?” You poke his cheek with your finger. “Yemg-“ he tries saying with his mouth full. As he puts chopsticks up to your mouth you can see he’s adverting his eyes, his cheeks dusted with a cherry blossom pink blush. “Mmh~ hehe delicious!”

After leaving Uyuu restaurant, you left to go and visit Kazuha’s dear friend Tomo.

Kazuha had brought a Katsu sandwich and a small flask of sake (sah-kay). “Oh dear Tomo-“ Kazuha kneels before his friends sword and vision. He silently had started praying, just as he did every day he could.

As you started your way back to your home in Ritou you could feel Kazuha trembling. “H-hey? Kazu? Are you ok?” You ask him squeezing his hand a little tighter. “Ye-yeah, I’m fine!” He stammered out, he seemed to be lost in thought, and you startled him.

“Hmm- ok.” You say, very skeptically.

When you arrived at your home

Kazuha walked to your room and sat on your bed, you followed him. “I’m gonna go change real quick be right back~” you said, kissing his cheek. Before you could walk away, he grabbed your wrist, stopping you. “P-please stay..” Kazuha says, tearing up.

“Awee~ baby no!” You say, sitting down on the bed next to him, sitting your back against the pillows and letting him sit between your legs. (Not smutty yet you horny bastard)

He was nuzzling his face into your neck like earlier. “R-ren?” “Yes Kazu?” “Please…promise to never leave me..I-I don’t think I can handle losing someone else..” He stammers out. (He’s pretty much done crying) “No no! Never- I could never leave you and I’d never dream of it!”

You pull Kazuhas face from your neck and kiss him deeply, your hands traveling up to his silky white hair. Before you could tear away he held your head there, so instead of just a peck it turned into a heated makeout session.

When kazuha was done you could feel his little friend pushing up against your thigh..

“Ohoho~ someone must be happy huh?” You whisper in his ear, reaching down to pull down his pants.

“Aah~” there was already precum dripping from his cock.

“Woooow~ Ngh~ Kazu you feel so good~” you groan as he began to lightly grind into you his legs beginning to shake.

“Hmhm~ already? C’mon Kazu you can do it~” you moan in his ear and being planting kisses,bites,and hickies on his collarbone and neck.

“Aaah~ R-Ren I- I’m gonna-“ “NGH~ “ Kazuha pulls out and a slimy white string follows.

You climb on top of an exhausted kazuha and start giving him little kisses everywhere you could. When he eventually fell asleep, you put on one of your silken robes and lied down beside him.

the reason for that is because it’s the day of your day off and you’re setting off in a hot air balloon. you thought you’d be taking the private jet as usual, but it turns out it was diagonally upwards (no idea what she’s actually trying to say here, maybe that you’re going diagonally upwards in a balloon rather than jetting off down a runway and taking off). 

kazuomi says that the place you’re going to can only be reached by balloon. a place you can’t go to without a balloon...? you’ve never heard of something like that

“it’s an island that doesn’t admit transportation other than balloons”

(bro how rich do you have to be to become part of a rich people club where you learn about an island that only allows balloons. next we’re gonna learn that kazu is part of a club where they hunt man for sport)

kazu says that the owner changed and boats and jets aren’t allowed, and then he comments that you look like you want to say “that’s weird”. 

you: “by the way, this balloon... has the “SHIBA company” logo 

“yeah. i borrowed yuzu’s [balloon]”

THE FACT THAT YUZURU CASUALLY HAS A HOT AIR BALLOON... AND NOT JUST HIS OWN ONE BUT IT’S A COMPANY BALLOON ALSDKFJSL. i like how we sometimes think yuzu is so bland and minimalist but then he’s literally just as extra as kazuomi and kei but in his own equally ridiculous way. 

kazuomi thinks “balloon huh... you don’t get that many opportunities to ride one*, so when yuzu recommended/offered it, i thought it would be good”

*i’m not sure if he’s saying that you don’t get that many opportunities to ride a balloon or if he himself doesn’t (since there are like no pronouns lmao!!) but i think he’s talking about you since everything he does is for you~ also cause he basically slates balloons in the next slide

“it’s slow and plain and most of all, the altitude is low”

“it’s good if we’re talking about being romantic, but honestly i prefer something more flashy”

“but mc is surprisingly enjoying the situation”

ughhhh the things he does for you!! 😍😭

you tell him that unlike with airplanes and helicopters, you can actually feel the wind which is so nice, and it’s so great that you can see the scenery without any distance/gap.  

“you’ve been busy these days, haven’t you?” you ask. “sometimes it’s not bad to feel the wind like this, right?” 

“i see, that’s one way of thinking about it,” kazuomi says. 

you: “if i had to choose one, i’m surprised that shiba-san [is the one] who likes this [kind of thing]”

you say that you think he (shiba) would say that balloons are a waste of time. kazuomi replies that that guy is surprisingly a romantic, which is why he wanted a screw that had gone into outer space. 

(wtf yuzu is so adorable.........)

anyway, the balloon goes to its destination with you, who seems to be having fun from start to finish. 

when you land on the small island, you go to a log house purveyed by kei (more like.......perveyed....... sorry couldn’t help myself)

“...it’s so lovely! such a warm atmosphere,” you gush . 

kazu says that kei said that it was just that it was spacious... seems like it really is so. 

you exclaim that there’s a fireplace in the next room. kazuomi replies that there’s a fireplace here too. nearly all the rooms have one. you say something like that it won’t get cold at night then, and kazu adds that it’s a luxury to spend time listening to the sound of firewood. talking about sound makes kazuomi realise that the log house, with no music, is quiet for now. it’s almost silent because it’s far away from the other log houses. 

“i can’t relax like this ... i wonder if mc is having fun”

you ask him, “hey, aren’t you feeling restless?”  

“hm? no...” kazu says. he can’t help but smile wryly as you guess how he’s feeling. 

“that kind of face...” you explain

you: “plus, i was sure you like brilliant and bustling places”

“you understand me well”

you: “it would take a lifetime to understand you completely”

maybe because it’s a quiet place, but your expression is calmer than usual. he likes hearing your small laugh, and he thinks that the quietness isn’t so bad. 

“balloons, quiet log houses... none of it is very like you, but that’s why it’s fresh” you say. 

you: “shido, thank you for bringing me [here]”

there was no reason for me to add a screenshot here but i just wanted to show that you really just call him shido. 

both the balloon and the log house were loaned from, and proposed by, yuzu and kei. 

“on the surface, they were amused with all their might, but i couldn’t help but appreciate the clumsy compassion of my mates*.”

*悪友たち can mean like bad friends/bad company but can also mean like partners in crime, close friends

“well... there are no interruptions here. what do you want [to do]?”

“we came here so i can indulge your every whim** for the whole day”

“anything is fine. i’ll grant any wish”

**literally listen to your selfishness 

when the main subject comes up, you shake your head after thinking a little. “i don’t want you to do anything.”

“what did you say...?” kazuomi says. 

you: “i don’t need anything. you bringing me here is enough”

you tell him there was a kitchen back there so you brewed some coffee. 

“don’t need anything...?” kazuomi thinks. he stands up, seeing you off to the kitchen after your unexpected response. he can’t infer the true meaning captured in your words. 

after that, the two of you drink the coffee you brewed and enjoy a dinner arranged by kei. he thinks that your profile as you gaze at the firewood in the fireplace looks peaceful and happy and wonders if this is the time you had wished for. he thought you wanted a more enriching time. 

you put your cups down on the table at the same time and laugh. your faces naturally approach and your lips touch, and when they part, you laugh again.

“it’s been a while since we spent time like this,”  you say. kazuomi agrees, saying that [you haven’t spent time like this] ever since he first visited your place. “stop joking,” you retort. “i didn’t get a moment of rest that time.” you tell him that you got cold sweats (from anxiety) at the thought of him coming to your place. 

“and now?” kazu asks.

“now, well...” you say. 

resting your head on his shoulder, he sees your eyes narrow gently as you gaze at the fireplace. 

“i’m not troubled by you seeing me, i’m cool [with it]”

“then, i’ll come visit you again***”

***when kazuomi says またお邪魔しよう he means he’s going to “intrude” in on your place again (since people say “sorry for intruding” when they go to other people’s places) 

you: let me know beforehand. i’ll get my parents to send over some jakoten.

basically they’re referring to that time in kazuomi’s lover obscura route when he came to his mc’s place for the first time and she was really anxious about him seeing her true self and afraid that he wouldn’t be into her bc her true self isn’t as sophisticated as “arisa”. she lied about being able to cook acqua pazza despite not actually being able to cook and instead made yasai itame, nikujaga and tamagoyaki and served miso soup and some side dishes, including jakoten (fried fish cakes) from her hometown (uwajima) that her parents sent, and kazuomi actually really liked jakoten haha. 

“the sound of mc’s giggly laughter fills my heart and heals me.”

“pointless conversations, playful kisses, intertwined fingers... we haven’t done anything special, but this is enough.”

“it’s a good feeling ... i think it’s because i fell in love with mc”

i just want to interrupt here because this makes me so emotional ahhh. like kazu and his mc’s thing has always been about like challenging and playing games with each other and it’s always been about the thrill of the chase, so i just adore it when they’re just simple and wholesome and in love (esp when kazuomi is the one who we get to see being head over heels). 

“falling in love, huh... i never thought the day would come when i would use that word”

this whole time, he thought it was his role to uncover**** your heart and body. however, without him even realising, you may have opened him up. 

****the word used here is more like to unravel/loosen/relax. basically it’s referring to you know how kazuomi and his mc are always talking about like getting each other to open up/expose/reveal their true selves and intentions. 

“i see,” kazuomi thinks. “we open up to each other and heal each other.” maybe that’s why you want to spend such an enriching time together. 

the coffee that you brewed is still hot and kazuomi feels like he’s never had such delicious coffee before. 

“doing nothing but sipping coffee in front of the fireplace ... that time is the most precious.”

“it’s delicious.” you say the same thing [as he was thinking] after drinking your coffee, face softening. 

“it was already pitch black outside, but the inside of the log house was full of warmth and happiness.”

“...i see. so this is happiness”

(LOOK HOW SOFT HE IS AHHHHHH)

he places the cup down and hugs you from behind. placing a hand on his arm, you murmur while staring at the fireplace, telling him that he seems to be so busy lately, you didn’t want to push him too much... you avoided tiring him out as much as possible. 

for the first time, kazuomi is unmistakably hearing the “true feelings”***** that you have hidden until now...

*****i chose to use this phrasing (alongside true intentions/face) here and in the previous chapter to try to convey the meaning as smoothly as possible through the context but you’d probably get a better sense of the meaning if you search “本音” or “honne”. essentially, it’s one’s true inner self/feelings that can’t necessarily be (and in fact is usually contrary to) one’s outward-facing societal/public persona (tatamae). it’s a recurring theme throughout kazuomi and his mc’s relationship (particularly in the earlier stages) as they are both trying to uncover each other’s real selves.

anyway i hope you enjoyed chapter 4! can’t believe we only have 2 chapters left to go, and i promise you that they get really steamy. but for now, i so enjoyed seeing kazuomi putting aside his own tastes to make you happy, and then realising that he’s so in love with you that even doing the simplest things with you give him bliss. it’s so rare that we get to see kazu being... not Excessive(tm)? he’s really just a man in love when it comes to you ;~~; also how cute is it that yuzu and kei give him so much shit but really try to help in any way they can when it comes down to it?
