CONCEPT DOODLES for an AU I dabbled in with a few friends after the winter king episode but kinda forgot about after the Fionna and Cake finale... I decided to revisit it and explore a little more after coming to terms with everything LOL... So, it's another "Winter King doesn't die immediately after his crown gets nuked" AU, but THIS TIME he's just dying really slowly (like Simon in the Betty episode) and ALSO joins Fionna, Cake, and Simon on their search for magic crowns. There's no logic behind this tbh, we just wanted to put him through The Horrors. And make them all friends. But mostly The Horrors. :) (he only gets to live as a treat, because I think he's funny).
Bonus (old screenshot), because this is still funny to me:

Put the lion king on for the toddler, because I thought it would be on in the background while she played and also because I am an idiot
✨ Mesmerised ✨by the baby lion, very excited that everyone was excited to see the baby. Didn't like that the lion and the 'tiger' were not friends. Very happy that daddy got up early to take simba to the park, just like her daddy did before nursery.
When it got to the elephant graveyard she was very concerned for the cubs and I was like, 'his daddy's going to come get him don't worry' but that scene lasts way longer than I remember and she was getting more and more worried for the cubs "his daddy comin? 🥺 His daddy come get him? 😢 DADDY COMMIN!?! '
And thankfully his daddy DID come and he did save them, but i realised two things:
There is no way I'm getting away with turning this off
This 2yr old will not survive the stampede scene
I did the only possible thing I could, got her to follow her daddy out the room for something and immediately skipped to hakuna mattata
This worked very well except that at any hint of trouble she kept assuring us that 'his daddy comin help him'
Which while that is true in one sense, in another much more real sense, that is not what happens
