will’s feelings for mike better get explicitly revealed in one way or another in s5 and i want it to be one of these ways

mike asks el about her commissioning the painting and she’s like “what?” and either...

 will over hears, gets caught over hearing, runs away, mike goes after him and they have an emotional conversation wear will is apologizing and mike stops him by kissing him or hugging him 

or mike confronts him in a situation where they’re either distressed or semi relaxed and will’s like “uh-uh-i can explain” and defeated admits he was talking about himself in the van and idk mike says something along the lines of opening up about his own attachment to will

 or maybe will’s getting emotional and mike’s about to say something and they get interrupted than later on in a heated situation mike brings it up and will’s like “WTF WHY ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THIS NOW???” and mike kisses him because they might die

mike getting vecna’d and will being so distraught and screaming and in tears and when mike comes out of it he’s off because vecna made him face his internalized homophobia but he eventually gets over it because will is still distraught over almost losing mike and comforts him and confesses his feelings and what vecna showed him and will kisses him and tells him he doesn’t have to worry because he feels the same

will getting vecna’d and mike’s freaking out and when will comes out of it he’s off because vecna made him see the hate and judgement he’s afraid of getting from everyone if he comes out. but mike wont leave his side and later on asks him while and mike goes on a whole rant about how important will is and how scared he was and how much he needs him and they stare at each other until they kiss

will and mike are either in the upside down or fighting things from the UD and in the heat of thinking they’re gonna die will starts talking about how he’s been afraid and how important mike and the others are to him (but especially mike) and mike’s like “will why are you talking like we’re gonna die?” and will’s like because they might and mike’s saying they won’t but will keeps saying you don’t know that and mike says i promise and will just stares at him crying and kisses him because if he is gonna die might has well done the one things he’s ever wanted and maybe soon after that when everything is calmed down will turns to mike and says “uh, i’m sorry about before, i get if you hate me, we can just forget-” but mike grabs his face and kisses him again

will turns into a total badass in s5 and mike can’t process his feelings because they’re in his ass so he distances himself from will and starts being weird again until will has enough and corners him and calls him out on his bullshit and keeps going on about how weird mike has been and that he’s supposed to talk to him and he’s his best friend and its the end of the world and they have a lot of shit going on and mike shuts him up by kissing him

and omg i want them to get murryed SO FUCKING BAD

One of my favorite trope for Steddie is Steve hunting down Eddie when the kids join Hellfire and giving him a long list of dos and donts.

At first Eddie thinks he’s just being a prick, and worried he’s going to turn the nerds into freaks like him. Especially when he says not to mention drugs in front of Dustin.

But then he starts pulling out lists of monsters that can’t be in campaigns. And like what??? Why can’t he use demagorgons? They were gonna be in the next combat! He’s tempted to ignore the warnings, in fact he’s all set to, but something about Steve’s face when he was laying it all out haunts him. Something so deadly serious about it. So first he decides to test the waters to see if he’s full of shit.

When the session starts, he makes a throwaway comment, “you’re acting like there’s a mindflayer around the corner.”

All the kids freeze but Wheeler especially looks like he’s going to be sick. He even grabs at the bracelet around his wrist. The one he always said his best friend made him before he moved.

Eddie curses himself for even trying to test it out after that, and immediately bullshits the whole session so he can scrap any hint of demogorgans from the campaign.

After that session he drives straight to Harringtons house and demands they go over all the things he can’t include again, in detail, while he takes notes.

He doesn’t know what’s going on with these freshmen, but he knows trauma when he sees it and well he’d gotten attached to the gremlins.

When he leaves that night, he thinks Steve is looking at him with approval. Like he trusts him with their well-being now.
