Ok, I recently wrote an essay [here] talking about the definition and duties of civil engineering as well as the ethics because of the brain rot @swordfright gave me with calling Dream Sam’s ultimate engineering project. So, because I actually am a civil engineer I took it upon myself to design the title and summary of quantities sheets just like I do at work for roads but with Dream as the project instead. And in honor of angst day sponsored by @sixteenth-day-event, I figured I’d share it because I feel like it kinda works for the prison of the mind prompt.

“Sam’s “ultimate engineering project” he deemed too damaged like a bumpy road or crumbling building that wasn’t worthy of patching and filling in the cracks or reinforcing, that’s too eroded to be fixed and preserved. So, Sam strived to tear him down to the bedrock so he could remake, remold, and reengineer Dream according to his design for the common safety, public health and well-fair.”

{These are very similar to the actual sheets I make day to day, which I shall not share for the sake of doxing my location, but yea pretty much everything has a significance. Some of it doesn’t necessarily make sense but that was because I was more so taking inventory of what we see in lore (so you know I counted ;) lol)}

as a bonus, both xotha and narcissus, with their names written in piglin

narcissus gets both a transliteration and a specific name in piglin, dzivetlet translates to "little leader" and there are story reasons for that name and the consequences, but i won't delve too far into it now

Sapnap is in such an intersting situation because if his relationship to both Dream and Quackity

Like if he just stops being delusional about quackity not torturing dream he suddenly has had two past friends/fiance in quackitys case who both changed and became kind of really bad people, at leas from his pov :( that would probably hurt him a lot. Why has both these people he loved so much turned out so bad? Could he have done something different?

Or if he keeps thinking Dream lied to sapnap when he said quackity tortured him and ends up defending quackity in a fight agaist dream, only for quackity to accidentally confirm that he tortured dream? Aaaaa :(

Would sapnap be able to delusionally justify what happened to dream?

I like to think abt a situation where Sapnap defends Dream against Quackity :3 maybe im running on cope :3 pls i need cdreamteam to be real

Old news but the fact that Cody was manager at hot topic is so unexplored in fandom. Like he wasn't some shithead employee he was the boss Entry level retail workers are so rarely promoted to manager nowadays, like, was Cody just that good at selling/managing the store? Also, managers make good money. Okay, haha, it's a hot topic, but store managers make like 70,000$ a year (CAD). They have health insurance. So Cody was actually doing pretty well. It's kinda weird to pretend he was on the same level as his friend with just a standard sales associate position, even if that friend was also full-time. Like the power and responsibility that Cody actually had is kind of impressive especially for 28.

AND then! To become a carnie! Like sick move and also Cody lost all his money anyway but the financial disparity! Was Murph probably thinking of like an assistant manager position which would make more sense with Cody's vibe? Probably. Is it funnier to imagine that Cody had to make sales reports to corporate and design store planograms? Absolutely.

Cody was management.
