Initially, I was conflicted by Se-ra’s masturbation scene, as I felt that the level of explicitness was unnecessary. I was so convinced that exposing her addiction was sufficient. However, I came across a tweet by ldh_kenki, who translated the caption attached to her poster : “Sara - the hand that mocked and broke others”. Now this explicit scene for me has such a powerful purpose.  The hands that were used to hurt DE and many other victims + bring them to their knees, are now the same hands that lead to Se-ra’s downfall. After years of watching shows use sex scenes as a filler or a form of violence, it’s great to see a s ex scene have such symbolism and be a major plot point. This show is just so damn brilliant.

just watched the last 2 ep of pyramid game~~

here are my thoughts on the drama (mostly the finale). please feel free to share your thoughts here as well!

like is suji the new class leader since doa got expelled? or did she transfer? the introduction is the same as when she first got transferred to the class.

this will be a little scattered and all over the place. I'm just typing as I think of things to say!

the ending?? the twins saying they want to play baek harin's game and then entering *the* class ?? sung suji introducing herself ?

I wonder if there will be a 2nd season or if this is just one of those dramas that end on a cliffhanger.

ngl at first I thought woori was yerim's stalker because of how much she checked yerim's instagram. I'm really proud of her though! the actress did such a good job portraying her character

and jang daah omg. her acting is so good! she portrayed baek harin's madness so well. justifying her actions by using the fact that she was bullied. hurt people really do hurt people. same as dayeon. she was abused and became abusive towards others. I'll be honest I don't feel bad for them though. just because you've experienced bad things, doesn't mean you have a free pass to be a bad person.

I really like that this was 10 episodes. the show was well paced! the plot twist at the end of every episode made me so addicted. if I started watching this after it had ended, i probably would have binged the show in one sitting.

although the craziest character in my opinion is the orphanage lady. the teacher(?) that created Pyramid Game & penalized literal children?? like how can you do that to kids?? telling yang soeun that she'll lose her blanket & blouse if she doesn't do well?? and not giving the kid enough food because she only got 1 question right?? that's abuse.

I really the convenient store guy/woori's brother. his constant reaffirmation that it's not the girls' fault that they got bullied. he was truly a mvp of the show.

To celebrate the return of ‘The Glory’ tomorrow, here are a few of my theories:

1. If I’m not mistaken, Kyung-ran and Dong-eun were pretty good friends at school. I think that DE also has KR in on her plan. Hence, why KR is working for Jaejoon. Maybe she’s watching them to gather intel different from Hyeon-nam or she is doing something to make YJ health worse or is involved in myeong-oh’s death(if he is really dead)

OR

KR holds a grudge towards DE aka KR believes that she became a victim bc of DE leaving and thus hates her. The group could force/manipulate KR into befriending DE again and use KR to get intel on DE next move.

2. The landlord has a relation to the first victim and is helping DE get her revenge, or she is watching from the sidelines and will probs anonymously help DE when she needs it. Maybe she has some involvement in Myeong-ohs death (if he really is dead).

3. DE revenge on each person will be related to something the desire the most, for example:

- Myeong-oh: DE continuously brought up the fact that he is unsuccessful + used his desire to bring down JJ and YJ to trap him … knowing that it would lead to his demise.

- YJ: her relationship with her husband + child, her job and looks - shattering her dream of a happy family etc.

- JJ: since episode 1, we have seen JJ be extremely lonely and desire a family + once he found out that he has a daughter … he has gone out of his way to get her back/protect her. DE is most likely going to get revenge on him by making sure that he never has that love/support/family life he always desired. She could also expose his colour blindness (which is his greatest insecurity) to the world.

4. Based of the posters, particularly the fact that YJ and DY are barely holding hands (aka their relationship is hanging on by a thread) I think that he is initially on YJ side to protect her … but as the drama unfolds he begins to support DE (hence him having a white flower on his poster like DE). I don’t think comes as a surprise to anyone lol.

5. YJ father is actually Young-Jun (the police officer who protected her during the bullying scandal)

6. Yeo-jeong has an altercation with someone that lands him in jail = him getting revenge on the man who killed his father. I actually think that the altercation will be with DY.

7. Personally, I’m so confused by JJ. On the one hand we see his soft side … particularly the fact that children and animals like him + he was a bystander for most of the abuse DE faced. But on the other hand, I defo thing he could have s exually assaulted DE. (constantly looking at her lips, the rain scene and that comment to DY). Or did he and I missed this??

8. Someone is defo dying … either DY or that annoying teacher I think.
