You were sat with your boyfriends mum who was experiencing the Super Bowl in two halves, she didn’t want either of her sons to lose and was proud of them both in their careers to get to this moment. She wore a half and half jersey. You were both on tender hooks throughout the game, she was biting her nails at multiple occasions. When the whistle went and Kansa was crowned the champions, the confetti falling onto the pitch, you managed to find Jason first, you giving him a hug and telling him how proud you were of him and to hold his head up. You then found Travis who was hugging a teammate, both of their faces were full of smiles. Then he noticed you approaching, he braced and you pounced into his arms. You both jumping around with glee, you have seen what he had to sacrifice to get to this point. You taking loads of photos and videos, not wanting to forget a moment.

i already answered this question a while ago, so instead im gonna do the gaang watching a horror movie

katara aang zuko movie night: katara picked the movie. she promised that it wouldn’t be too scary, that it’s more of a psychological thriller. nonetheless aang feels queasy by the end of it. zuko sits through these movies as a test of endurance more than anything, just to prove that he can. he has indents in his arm from where katara dug her nails in every time the movie got remotely suspenseful. that night, aang insists on sleeping with the lights on.

toph sokka suki movie night: sokka and suki narrate the entire time, so that toph has a sense of what’s going on, but also because they just find it fun. toph’s impression of this movie is wildly skewed because they’re making jokes the entire time, so she assumes the presentation and framing is at least somewhat comedic. it isn’t. nevertheless, they laugh throughout.

ty lee mai azula movie night: ty lee picked the movie, of course. she loves horror. she and mai like to do an extended bit where they pretend that azula will be really scared, so they wrap her in blankets and stroke her hair and say “shhh it’s okay baby, it’s not real, it can’t actually hurt you.” this all started because azula gets very annoying about horror movies, scoffing that they’re “all hollow shock factor” and “not even scary, at that.” azula pretends to hate this bit for the sake of her dignity, but secretly it makes her feel warm and safe and loved, even if she knows they’re only joking.

bonus: katara suki ty lee: they’re all obsessed with yellowjackets and watch it together on friday nights, yelling at the screen like it’s the superbowl. they have a groupchat where they just send yj memes and discuss theories. they all disagree over who antler queen is. this is the best thing going on in their lives rn.

Everyone's wondering if Live and Learn will be in the movie, I'm here wondering if the Japanese trailers will have the M-flo song they did for his game years back

For real though, these films have practically saved this franchise. We were in a rut after that last game before the movie. But ever since that movie it feels like they're willing to take chances and indulge in stuff other than what only came from the 90's even from stuff that's more infamous than famous like 06 or Shadow's game

Hell, you should have seen the twitter poll they had to see who would be in Feburary's calandar art

The fact they would even acknowledge Sonicman, who's just a npc from a game no one likes is one thing but he WON. It was a fun day on twitter.

These films have had such a clear impact both on the series reception and the games themselves

Plus it's just the biggest spike of popularity ever, with advertisements everywhere including the superbowl and Times Square

After years of Sonic being considered "so so" at best and the joke of gaming who was never good at worst it's just so nice to stuff like this and I can't wait for more

It's not every day you can say the live action adaptation actually helped the original. It also can't ever be said enough just how them being willing to take the criticism from the fans and do a complete 180 actually benefited everyone in the end. The community fought for their boy and won.

One day I'mma need them to run one of those E! Network type specials from back in the day about how Sonic did a whole spin dash from falling towards obscurity to right back up the mountain. A movie that could have almost very well been THE nail in the coffin turned around and breathed new life into them. It's been amazing to see.

the issue on the table is I would like to paint my nails red for valentines day like I usually do, and I’m going out to celebrate vday this friday so it would make the most sense to do it then (plus red nails would go with my planned outfit better), HOWEVER it’s superbowl weekend and if my nails are not green by sunday/whenever the eagles victory parade is I might actually be burned alive, but painting my nails for literally 2 days before changing it seems wasteful. this is a life altering decision as I’m sure you can all tell
