Having a NEW baby is a CrAzY Time. Emotions, priorities and the house are all upside down. That is NORMAL. A new human being completely dependent for all of their care and and needs takes a lot of work. But it is not like this forever. Think of how busy a nurse must be in the Intensive Care unit. Their time is solely devoted to keeping you alive. The rest has to come later. This is YOUR role NOW. Try, for now to focus on this new LIFE. You can get to your plans later. This is more AMAZING and more IMPORTANT than anything else you had planned. It is stressful and hard and demanding but know that it is like this for everyone. You are NOT ALONE. It’s OK to be TIRED and STRESSED and EXHAUSTED. But you will get the hang of it and it will start to make sense. SOON your baby will start to become more a part of you and teach you more than you could ever teach them.
