🌵The Quran taught us
That behind defecting the ship (surah alkahf) there was khayr(Good).
And behind killing the boy (surah alkahf) there was khayr(Good).
And behind telling a mother to throw her child in the river (surah Qasas) there was khayr(Good).
And behind brothers throwing their brother into a well (surah Yusuf) there was khayr(Good).
So how can we doubt Allah's arrangement instead we say O Allah, give us patience for what we have no knowledge of. O Allah, appoint for us a way out of every distress and a relief from every anxiety.

Top tier methodology for Quran studies and tafsiir is to use the Quran to understand the Quran.
Reflect on this word سَدًّا that is only used twice in the Quran and is translated into “barrier” mentioned in two Surahs, Surah Ya-Sin and Surah al-Kahf.
And We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier and covered them, so they do not see. Surah Ya-Sin: 9
&
They said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, indeed Gog and Magog are [great] corrupters in the land. So may we assign for you an expenditure that you might make between us and them a barrier?" Surah al-Kahf: 94
Both these ayahs have the same word سَدًّا “barrier”.
In Surah Ya-Sin the context of revelation (asbab al-nuzul) is clear in the siirah of Rasuul Allah ﷺ when he finally got the go ahead to make hijrah with Abu Bakr ra and the quraysh where plotting to assassinate him. As the quraysh approached his ﷺ home he recited Surah Ya-Sin and as the quraysh were outside his home he walked right passed them without them being able to see him, basically Rasuul Allah ﷺ became invisible with this barrier سَدًّا.
Also a side note***
The word يُبْصِرُونَ which root word is بَصَرَ meaning sight/vision, but it’s not regular sight but more so a inner spiritual intuitive sight:
Inner visions have come to you from your Lord, so whoever sees clearly, it is to the benefit of his own soul, and whoever is blind, it is to his detriment. And I am not a keeper over you. Surah Al-An’am: 104
Now back to the سَدًّا
Same word seen in Surah Ya-Sin is used when Dhul-Qarnayn built the barrier for gog and magog, سَدًّا, in Surah Ya-Sin the barrier was not a normal physical barrier but more so a multidimensional spiritual kind of barrier where the quraysh could not see Rasuul Allah ﷺ although he walked right passed them.
So when I think of Dhul-Qarnayn building the barrier, سَدًّا, for gog and magog made out of iron and copper i recognise the possibility of this barrier not only being a physical 3D barrier but also a multidimensional spiritual barrier, sealing them away in another dimension.
Bearing in mind that the first story in Surah Al Kahf is about the ashab al Kahf (the youth of the cave) which proves that while they were on earth physically, they were in another dimension of time and space simultaneously (multidimensional) since they slept for 300 years some, while they did not age at all but instead felt that they slept for a day or part of a day. So this multidimensional reality is mentioned in the beginning of the surah.
And to understand the Quran we need the siirah of Rasuul Allah ﷺ to know the context of revelation (azbab al-nusul) meaning what was happening in his life as the Surahs were revealed.
And the whole surah al Kahf was revealed in response to 3 questions that the quraysh got from the Jews in madinah since they themselves didn’t have any knowledge of scripture or prophethood. The Jews gave them 3 ((((((sneaky)))))) indirect questions to ask Rasuul Allah ﷺ in order to prove whether he ﷺ was a real prophet sent by Allah or not.
The last one of the 3 questions was asking about a traveller who went to the corners of earth referring to Dhul-Qarnayn, indirectly asking about Gog and Magog.
And if you use the same methodology for يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ gog & magog, you’ll see them being mentioned twice in The Quran, once here in Surah alKahf: 94 and once in surah Al-Anbiyah:
‏“There is a ban on a town (i.e. Jerusalem) which we destroyed (and whose people were then expelled) that they (i.e. the people of the town) can never return (to claim that town as their own) until Gog and Magog are released and they spread out in all directions (thus taking control of the world). Surah al-Anbiyah: 95-96
And remember that Allah Himself describes gog and magog as مُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ mufsidoona fil ard: corruptors of the land (earth): they spread corruption on earth.
And if you have done the tafsiir on surah Al Baqarah your know the background history of bani israeel (the Jews) eventually they became all scattered across the world without no land to call their own home.
But in 1917 the Jews were granted a “national home” in Palestine (See: The Balfour Declaration) . And Allah says here in Surah Al-Anbiyah that they could never return until gog and magog are released.
*hint*: zionists
It’s clear that you need that بصيره to understand what’s been going on.
Allah knows best.

And who does more wrong than those who, when reminded of their Master’s revelations, turn away from them and forget what their own hands have done? We have certainly cast veils over their hearts—leaving them unable to comprehend this ˹Quran˺—and deafness in their ears. And if you ˹O Prophet˺ invite them to ˹true˺ guidance, they will never be ˹rightly˺ guided.
Your Master is the All-Forgiving, Full of Mercy. If He were to seize them ˹immediately˺ for what they commit, He would have certainly hastened their punishment. But they have an appointed time, from which they will find no refuge. Those ˹are the˺ societies We destroyed when they persisted in wrong, and We had set a time for their destruction.

˹Beware of˺ the Day We will blow the mountains away, and you will see the earth laid bare. And We will gather all ˹humankind˺, leaving none behind. They will be presented before your Master in rows, ˹and the deniers will be told,˺ “You have surely returned to Us ˹all alone˺ as We created you the first time, although you ˹always˺ claimed that We would never appoint a time for your return.”
And the record ˹of deeds˺ will be laid ˹open˺, and you will see the wicked in fear of what is ˹written˺ in it. They will cry, “Woe to us! What kind of record is this that does not leave any sin, small or large, unlisted?” They will find whatever they did present ˹before them˺. And your Master will never wrong anyone.
And ˹remember˺ when We said to the angels, “Prostrate before Adam,” so they all did—but not Iblîs, who was one of the jinn, but he rebelled against the command of his Lord. Would you then take him and his descendants as patrons instead of Me, although they are your enemy? What an evil alternative for the wrongdoers ˹to choose˺! I never called them to witness the creation of the heavens and the earth or ˹even˺ their own creation, nor would I take the misleaders as helpers.
And ˹beware of˺ the Day He will say, “Call upon those you claimed were My associate-gods.” So they will call them, but will receive no response. And We will make them ˹all˺ share in the same doom.
The wicked will see the Fire and realize that they are bound to fall into it, and will find no way to avoid it.
