Reunion
No one from Françoise Dupont High School expected Marinette Dupain-Cheng to walk into the ten year reunion. As far as they knew, she hadn't been invited. Marinette strode in, with her head held high, and walked right up to Lila Rossi.
"I want to thank you for being such a bitch to me, Lila." Mari smiled, "You changed my life for the better."
"E-Excuse me?" Lila questioned.
'There' no way that forcing her out of school and isolating her gave her an amazing life!'
"That whole shit about telling people what they wanted to hear." Marinette began to explain, "I got really tired of defending myself and being told that I had to 'love you' to make you a better person by the staff. I got tired of being stacked with doing shit for free: all that babysitting I never said I would do, the banners, uniforms, clothes, fundraisers! It was exhausting for a fifteen year old."
Mari smiled, "Once you turned everyone against me, I realized how much free time I had! I signed up for homeschooling and worked extremely hard to graduate early. I even skipped a couple grades. It turned out that my husband's family were huge fans of my designs, so they offered to pay for my schooling if I moved."
"Husband?" Lila asked, concerned, "I didn't realize you had gotten married."
"Yeah." Marinette stated, "We met when I was seventeen and got married when I was nineteen; we have two kids."
Lila looked up and down at her arch-rival. Aside from a growth spurt and a larger chest, Marinette didn't look like she had changed at all. She looked like she was in her early twenties!
"So, thank you for bullying me." Marinette continued with a smile, "It was the best thing that could have happened to me."
Lila stayed silent. She didn't know what to say to that. None of her other victims had ever thanked her. She could feel eyes on them. She knew people were listneing in on their conversation. If she started to make a scene, it wouldn't end well.
"We'll, I'm married too!" Announced Lila.
"Oh, congrats." Marinette smiled, "Where is the lucky person?"
Lila spotted a tall, dark, and handsome man walk into the venue.
"There he is." Lila smiled.
Lila watched as her prey came towards them.
'Just a few more feet and I'll be able grab him. I'm sure he wouldn't mind playing along for a few minutes.'
Lila reached out a hand to grab him, when he put his arm around Marinette's waist and kissed her.
"Hello, Habibiti." he spoke.
"Everything okay without us at the company?" Mari asked.
He sighed, "Yes. It was just Grayson being himself."
Marinette giggled, "I'm sorry, Lila. This is my husband, Damian Wayne. Where were you saying your spouse is?"
Lila plastered a smile on her face, "They just stepped out. They had their cellphone out. It must be an important client. We're both models."
'There's no way she is married to this guy! The sooner she leaves, the sooner I can tell everyone I recognize him as an actor.'
Lila couldn't believe her luck. Adrien had just walked though the doors.
'Marinette was obsessed with him for years! Her fake marriage will be exposed and I can get the guy to stay with me. It doesn’t matter how much she paid him. I'm sure I could pay him more.'
"Marinette!" Adrien shouted.
He was quick to run over and hug her, pulling her away from her husband.
"Agreste, put my wife down." Damian growled.
Adrien turned his attention to Damian and froze.
"Hey, Wayne." He smiled, before looking around, "Where are the kids? Where's my neice and nephew?"
'Kids? They're really married and have kids?'
"They're with my parents, Adrien." Mari answered, "I'm sure they're being fed sugar and will pass out soon."
"So, is that an invite?" the model asked.
"To my parent's place for sweets?" Mrs. Wayne questioned, "You live here! They call me like once a week saying you were at the bakery!"
Adrien chuckled, "No. What about my time with the kids?"
Marinette looked to Damian, who shrugged. She turned to Adrien and shot him a look.
"Tell you what, you can see them in two days." she replied, "A whole day with Uncle Adrien."
'Uncle Adrien?'
"Really?" Adrien cried out, happily.
"But, you got to plan it." she answered.
"Disneyland Paris?" the Agreste heir suggested.
"Fine." Marinette growled, "But if you lose one of my kids, again, I will hurt you."
Adrien glanced towards Damian.
"Adrien, if you think my husband is scarier, just because you have seen his sword collection, you're wrong." Marinette Wayne declared, "You lose one of my children, I will hurt you worse than my husband could ever imagine."
"Got it." Adrien smiled, "Plan awesome VIP experience for the kids!"
"Great!" Mari smiled back.
"Man, you moving really toughened you up." the model winced.
"I punched my brother-in-law the first day there because I thought he grabbed my ass." Mrs. Wayne spoke.
"That is still one of my best days ever. No one has underestimated you since." Damian stated, before kissing her head.
"So, what are you doing here?" Adrien questioned, "Didn't you graduate like two years before us?"
"Oh, I just wanted to thank Lila for bullying me and getting me homeschooled." Marinette smiled, "It sucked that she bullied me, at the time, but if she hadn't done that, I wouldn't be with Damian and we wouldn't have our kids."
Adrien quickly turned to Lila, "Thank you for being a bitch to my best friend. I love my niece and nephew. Marinette, do you think we should get her like a fruit basket or something?"
Mari laughed, "We have dinner plans so we're gonna head out. Enjoy the reunion, Adrien."
Adrien took a step back and eyed Marinette's dress. It was a short black bodycon dress with puffy transparent sleeves. He eyed the black heels, warily.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Dressed like that?" he questioned.
"Eyes on my wife's face, Agreste." Damian growled.
Adrien rolled his eyes, "She's all yours. I don't think I've ever seen you dressed like this, is all. You think you'll be able to take care of the kids dressed like that?"
Marinette answered, "They are staying with my parents tonight." before walking away.
Adrien watched as Damian placed his hand at Marinette's waist, likely making sure she didn't fall in those heels.
Adrien smiled, evilly, "Hey, Marinette!"
The designer turned to look back at her friend.
"I want another neice or nephew!" he shouted.
Marinette's face morphed from shock to embarassment, before she quickly glared at her best friend. She squeaked as she was quickly lifted into her husband's arms.
"Damian, you put me down!" she snapped at him.
"No." her husband responded.
"Why not?" she growled.
"Adrien won't get his wish if you're in jail for harming him." Damian smirked.
Marinette buried her face in her husband's chest and remained silent.
Adrien laughed as Marinette was carried out of the reunion. Nino walked up to him, confused.
"You….You kept in touch with Mari?" he questioned.
"Of course!" Adrien smiled, brightly, "I helped her with her math sometimes and she talks with Father about designing. She's my best friend."
"Designs?" Rose asked.
"Marinette is a fashion designer in the states." he answered, "Her husband's family runs an international company. She occasionally designs for their clothing line, but they do other stuff, too. Marinette has an office in their building, but she mostly does custom work. I think last year someone asked for a wedding dress. It was around $25,000."
"Seriously?" Alya asked, full of surprise.
"Oh yeah!" Adrien smiled, "She's an amazing deisgner. A lot of her dresses and suits have been coming out on runways and red carpet events."
"You're forgetting that she bullied Lila!" cried Sabrina, "She was mean to her! How can you be friends with her?"
"Actually, it was the other way around." Adrien stated, "Lila once claimed that Mari pushed her, after school, so hard that she injured her knee and was forced to walk home with a limp. I tried to tell you that Marinette couldn't have done it; Marinette had been with me the day before. You told me I was just confused. You never let me speak. You just decided Lila was right."
The class just stared at him.
'Had they really done that? Had they ignored Adrien when he tried to defend Marinette?'
"You never listened to me or Marinette when we told you about Lila being a lying bitch." he shrugged.
"But you're married!" Kim shouted, "How can you choose Marinette over a model?"
"I didn't. I'm bi and dating a male model from my father's company." Adrien announced, "Lila was fired when she was sixteen. Wasn't Lila held back a grade? Why is she even here? You didn't graduate with us or even from this school."
"It was a computer error!" Max spoke up, "Lila said that-
Adrien rolled his eyes, "Her mother called Natalie and declared she was owed a meeting with my father. She said we ruined Lila's future by forcing her to model. She threatened to sue the Gabriel brand until we showed her the 'signatures' on the forms. Turns out, Lila forged those so her mother's hands were tied. Her mother started shouting how she should send her to boot camp, back in Italy, as the left the house."
One by one they turned to look at Lila.
"i-I wanted to see everyone." she whispered, weakly, "I missed my friends."
"Thank for stopping by." Adrien stated, "You can leave now."
"Adrikins!" Chloe shouted.
"Chloe!" Adrien called back, "I missed you. We loved that spa treatment. You're the best!"
Chloe smiled and pulled Adrien away from the rest of the group to socialize with the other students.
"You still talk to that trash?" they heard Chloe ask.
"Rossi?" Adrien questioned, "Nah. You missed Marinette by a couple minutes. She came here and thanked Lila for being a raging bitch. The rest of them were still trying to kiss ass."
"The queen, herself, and I missed it." the Bourgeois heiress teased.
"Date night." Adrien quipped, "She brought Damian and the demon brigade."
"I missed the little ones?" she screeched.
Adrien laughed, "They're with her parents. Better book your time with them before they leave again. Oh, and Mari is already threatening bodily harm if anything happens to them."
"You lost one last time!" Chloe cried.
"I said I was sorry!" Adrien rebutted.
Chloe scoffed, "You're lucky you didn't die that day."
"I know." Adrien sighed, "Would it be weird if I put them on one of those kid leashes? I feel like they would fuck with me and purposely try to get lost to see me sweat, again. Honestly, I don't know if it's a mini Damian or mini Marinette. Don't get me wrong, Damian is frightening and he could probably work in the CIA torture room, but seeing Marinette pissed off, scares the living crap out of me. She's creative and could probably make something specifically to hurt me."
Chloe looked up from her phone, "I bought you the leashes. They'll be here tomorrow. You're welcome."
"Chloe." Adrien replied, "You didn't answer me."
"I was frenemies with her for years, Adrikins." Chloe answered, "Mari will find some way to hurt you and she wouldn't need her godly husband to do it. You have every right to fear for your life for pissing her off. Look at what happened to the idiot brigade: they believed a liar and bullied her. None of their dreams came true. The Waynes own half the companies those idiots wanted to work for. I wouldn't put it past Damian to rat those losers out to his family and have them blacklisted. You have seen how overprotective he is of their kids; he's the same way with her."
"True." Adrine sighed, "He still yells at me when I hug her."
"Idiot." Chloe declared, rolling her eyes.
The class looked at each other before pulling out their phones. They looked up Marinette and the Wayne family. The class shifted nervously as they realized what Chloe had said was true. The Waynes and Marinette owned their jobs. They were all comfortable with their jobs, but they weren't anything to brag about. They had all wanted bigger and better things at thirteen.
None of them were the doctors, rock stars, DJs, journalists, environmentalists, or the Olympians they thought they would be. They worked desk jobs or became something close to what they wanted. Lila knew she would never model again when Gabriel told her that he was going to blacklist her. The Waynes owned everything from food to biolabs to steel to shipbuilding and aerospace. Lila silently left the reunion as everyone came to terms that their dreams ended long ago.

Letters revealing a scary truth by @mysnis
"Please reach JL, villain in Paris."
"What? A villain in Paris?" Bruce asked. He frowned. "Why is she hiding it?"
"I'm hoping that the previous letters will reveal that." Tim answered. Damian stared between the two before heading to his room. He came back quickly looking at them.
Lost and Found by @soulmate-game
This doesn't actually have a title
“Is that a kid?”
“Yep,” Batman’s grin grew.
“Is she… stealing my tires?” Hood was so, so glad he wore a helmet that hid his expression. Because… wow.
“Yep,” Batman finally lost his composure, chuckling. “This seems like Karma, don’t you think?”
De-Aged by @timinette-is-best
“How is there a fairy in the Pixie’s pocket?”
He asked jokingly while swinging the hands back and forth!
“Lookin lookie!  It’s a Ladybug fairy!  She’s so pwetty.”
Marinette held Tikki in both of her hands and jumped up and down trying to get him to look.  Jason chuckled and looked down at the toy.  It was cute, he had never seen something like it before.  Then it blinked, and flew out of Marinette’s hand, and oh gosh, IT CAN TALK?!
Innocence, avoidance by @consumeconstantly
To be more precise, he’s hoping that she’s simply avoiding his detection, and hasn’t gotten swept up in something bad.
It takes Jason three hours-- three hours-- to find the girl who can’t be much older than ten. Probably not even ten, judging by her size.
“You’re lucky it’s me finding you, and not someone else, Pixie.” He finally catches a glance of her glaringly sparkly backpack, complete with fairies and unicorns covered in some sort of holographic overlay.
The New Adoptee by @purple-goo-writes , @mochegato & @thepacifistavenger
This doesn't actually have a title
Alfred will tell him.  Alfred knows everything.
“Master Bruce, I’m shocked at you.  Surely you know your most recent adoptee’s name?”
Adoptee?!  When–?  How??
There’s a light tap just below his right shoulder blade–she really is a tiny slip of a thing–and he turns to meet her wide-eyed, innocent, sapphire gaze.  Oh, no.  Did she learn this look from Jason?  Or is it her own and that’s how it is that she fits in so well with the rest?

Fate Knows Best
Chapter 1
Marinette couldn’t believe it after so many years of Hawkmoth’s reign of terror, they had finally won.
*Flashback*
Her team, consisting of Ryuko, Viperion, and Empress Abeille, had finally managed to locate Hawkmoth’s base and the surprise attack caught Gabriel Agreste untransformed and off guard. Empress Abeille was able to sting him before he could transform and Ladybug was able to remove the Miraculous with ease. As expected, Gabriel was furious and screamed at them that all he wanted to do was heal his wife. Ladybug had demanded to be brought to her and Gabriel sensing something otherworldly about her acquiesced. He opened the secret entrance and when they descended into the cavern, the heroes saw her body that was locked in a cryogenic state. Ladybug asked Gabriel to open her case and once opened, Ladybug began to inspect her. Ladybug began to glow a soft pink and funneled her energy into Emilie. After several long minutes, Emilie opened her eyes.
Gabriel immediately ran to hug and he turned back to the others with tears running down is face. He said, “I can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done. I’m so truly sorry for all the trouble I’ve caused and I realize that now. I was just so distraught about losing her that I knew I couldn’t live without her.”
The heroes looked at each other and Ladybug told Gabriel to give them a second. Once away from the hugging and crying couple, Ryuko states, “I know that look Ladybug and you want to let him go.”
“I want to find a way to make him pay back everything without him having to go to jail. Look at them! Not only would he simply be locked away from everyone, she would also have to suffer by everyone knowing who she was married to” Ladybug cried.
Viperion spoke finally, “She’s right we could make him start and head organizations for the victims that have been traumatized and to volunteer with different programs to help the city of Paris.”
Empress Abeille added haughtily, “We could even have him do a separate foundation for just the children of the attacks.” Ladybug smiled at her remembering little Addi that Queenie had befriended 2 years ago after she was akumatized. Ladybug asked her teamates if they all agreed and at once everyone did thinking he’d finally be able to pay Paris back for all the terror they had lived through.
When they approached Gabriel they overheard him telling his wife that he was going to have go away for a long time, but before Emilie could say anything, Viperion interrupted. “We’ve decided on a separate course of action for you.”
Ladybug further explained, “We would like for you to start some foundations for all the evil you’ve done to help victims through their ordeals and start a separate one just for the children that have been traumatized as well. We also want you to start volunteering at least once a week to any charity you choose to help Paris as much as possible. If you choose not to this or discontinue for any reason, we will turn you into the police to pay for your crimes that way.”
Once again Gabriel and Emilie were both in tears and Gabriel immediately agreed stating he would not fail Paris again and that they can expect him to follow through with his promise as a thank you for not exposing him and especially for saving his wife. As the heroes were leaving, Gabriel stopped them and nervously asked, “Have you heard from Chat Noir?” As the heroes shook their head, he went on to explain, that he found out that his son Adrien was Chat Noir. Since none of the heroes appeared to be shocked by this he continued. “Something’s not been right with him for a while. He’s been angry and argues back at every chance he gets. He disappeared about a week ago and the day he disappeared he kept muttering ‘I’ll have her one way or another’ ‘We’re soulmates and she has to love me’.”
Viperion reached out a hand and placed it on Ladybug’s shoulder when her shoulders dropped slightly, though her face betrayed no emotion. Abeille answered for them, “We’re working on tracking him down, and we will return him when we can.” With that, the heroes left quickly meeting up in their hideout.
*End Flashback*
Their hideout was an old abandoned factory that Ladybug had found a few years back and was perfect to escape in and out of. Once inside, the heroes quickly detransformed. The heroes had shared each other’s identities a few years back when Ladybug stated that they would become closer as a team if they shared their identities as long as they didn’t tell Chat. Over the years Chat had become more and more angry as Ladybug refused his advances. The past few years they really only saw Chat on patrol because he wouldn’t stop trying to flirt and he had had long since stopped showing up for battles. The others had taken to splitting up in pairs on patrol to help keep Ladybug from facing Chat alone on patrol.
Marinette and Chloe both figured out Chat’s identity several years before when Adrien grew angry because Marinette kept insisting to Alya that Ladybug and Chat would never get together. Both saw how furious he got and immediately were reminded of Chat. Alya hadn’t even noticed his anger because she was furious. How dare Marinette contradict what Lila had told her? After all, Lila was Ladybug’s best friend and Ladybug told her everything. After that last argument, Marinette and Alya finally split paths. They had been drifting for a long time, but that was the final straw. Chloe and Marinette had become best friends after that since they had common ground to bond over since Lila’s lies caused everyone to leave them. They were at least able to make it to graduation and after it became much bearable without being in the constant presence of Lila and her squad. Luckily, for Marinette and Chloe, they also found friends in Luka and Kagami and they became inseparable. Even more so when Luka and Kagami started dating. Knowing their identities only brought them closer.
Once they had all detransformed inside the factory, they sat on the couches Chloe had brought in years before. Luka said, “That went a lot better than expected.”
“He had just better keep his promise,” Chloe stated haughtily.
“I think he will. Once she awakened, his song changed and it wasn’t the same darkness it was before,” Luka said mysteriously.
Kagami looked at Marinette and asked, “What about Chat?”
“I don’t know we will have to keep looking for him. Since our greatest threat is now over, this will be our new mission. We have to get the ring away from him at all costs.” Marinette said with a defeated look on her face. She hated to have to take it from him because he was her first partner, but she knew that for a long time he had not acted in a heroic way.
After talking for a while, they decided it was time to go home and get a well-deserved rest. They had agreed Empress Abeille would notify the press tomorrow of Hawkmoth’s defeat by simply saying he ran, but gave the butterfly back before he fled. Chloe stopped Marinette before she left asking if she wanted to come over to stay the night. Marinette told her that she really wished she could, but she had to finish her Uncle Jagged’s latest commission. Marinette told Chloe that once she got it finished that she would come over and she’d bring her and pollen’s favorite Honey Macaroons. They hugged each other before saying goodbye and transforming.
Ladybug was almost home when she saw a shadow in an alley down below her. Deciding to investigate, she landed quietly behind a dumpster where she could keep an eye on the figure. Suddenly, she heard a noise behind her and she felt a sharp sting, before she could turn around, she collapsed. The last thing she saw was a woman walking towards her before she blacked out.

I KNOW it’s been a hot second, and I’m sorry. Personal stuff has been kicking me in the butt and I haven't been able to write something for myself in literally 3 weeks. I hope this makes up for it. Requested from my Ao3 here is part 2 of, Why Can’t Bats Rest in Peace?
Sorry. I missed the part where you said to post requests here. This is an idea to follow up your resurrected Marinette story.
What about Marinette struggling with her time as ladybug but also the fear and anxiety from her resurrection. Like having flashback from the worst akumas and her having new fears like being underground or in small spaces. The bat family helps her with the akuma trauma and Jason helps with the trauma from her resurrection. Does this work? I’m good at brainstorming ideas but am really bad at writing my ideas out as a story.
Ground me, Not Bury Me
Previous
Falling, she was falling!  The air had left her lungs and all she could feel was wind whipping around her.  She screamed and reached for the hand of an unknown man with blonde hair and bright green eyes.  She could feel a strong pull to him, but she couldn’t remember what for.  She gasped for air, but everything was still blurred around her as she came crashing down, down, down!  She screamed and screamed and screamed as she was suddenly stabbed by an unknown person with a blurred face.  She wasn’t falling anymore, instead she was on her knees holding her side where warm liquid dripped down around her.  Someone was speaking, but she couldn’t make out a word.  She looked around and saw people with black hair wearing strange clothing around her.  She felt the strongest urge that she knew them. She wanted to crawl towards them to make sure that they were alright, but suddenly something cold and hard was clasped tightly around her wrists.  She looked up at the blurred figure as they laughed manickly.  She didn’t feel afraid of them, but for some reason she was afraid of what they would do to her and the other people.  She could glimpse bits of white and green from the blurry figure, and then they hit her and she fell over.  When she tried to get back up, she found that she couldn’t even sit up.  She felt soft material surrounding her, and something flowing at her legs.  She screamed again as there wasn’t a single speck of light.  It was dark, it was so dark, and something was trickling down her face!  She couldn’t breathe, she couldn’t breathe, why can’t she breathe?!  She banged her fists against the plush material, but it did nothing.  She scratched and clawed, shredding her skin to bits, but she ignored the pain.  Her panic only increased as the more she struggled the faster the unknown substance came down into whatever was holding her.  She sobbed, she couldn’t even remember the last time she had cried.  She couldn’t take it anymore, why was all this happening?!  Why couldn’t she be free?!  She was going to die, she was going to disgrace her family and die because she was to incompitent to escape!  She just wanted this to be over.
***
Bruce, Damian, Dick, Jason, and Alfred hurried to the room Marinette was in.  They had heard her screaming and needed to make sure she was okay.  Marinette had been getting better as of recent months, but it was still a long way to go for her recovery.  Nobody knew what had brought her back, not even the Flashes, but she was here, and they weren’t going to lose her again.  She had on and off days where she was able to be fully awake and conscious for a few hours at a time, her record was currently 6, before fading back into a cloudy sort-of daze.  These hours were often few and far between, often happening only once or twice a month at random.
As they neared the door the horrid screams were replaced by heart-wrenching sobs and muffled pleading.
“Let ‘e out!”
She gasped out as they slowly opened her door.  Marinette wasn’t moving, but her body was tense in a way that showed her fear of being trapped.
“Too small!  Dark!  Help!”
She cried out causing Jason to instantly run to her side.  Gently he picked his baby sister up so that he could sit on her bed and have her lean against his chest as he caressed her head.
“Shh.  It’s okay Pixie.  You’re not there, you’re out.  You won’t ever go back there again.”
Jason whispered soothingly into her ear as his eyes began to water with unshed tears.  Slowly Marinette’s erratic breathing began to slow as Jason continued to whisper sweet nothings into her ears while rocking her slightly.  Her eyes began to open, tears still falling down her oh so pale cheeks.  Her eyes were still clouded over and not a word escaped her as she stared into nothingness.  She simply leaned closer into her big brother's chest seeking out the warmth she desperately wanted.
The others watched from the doorway hesitant to ruin the moment.  But Jason simply looked up at them with a sad smile and with a quick movement of his head invited them to join them.  Jason moved to the center of the bed and let everyone surround the two.  Damian was the first one, moving to hug his sister’s right while wishing he could do anything to relieve her of this pain.  Tim came on their left, resting his head against Jason’s shoulder as he stared worriedly at his baby sister.  Dick plopped on next to Damian and wrapped all of them into a hug as he looked into Marinette’s clouded eyes.  Bruce simply sat on the edge of the bed staring lovingly at all of his children promising himself that he’d keep watch.  He’d keep them all safe.  Alfred smiled at his family while wrapping the large duvet around all of the members cuddled together in the center of the bed.  He gave Bruce a small squeeze on the shoulder before he silently left the room keeping the door open just a crack.  All would be well, not now, but one day.
***
Marinette leaned her head against Dick’s shoulder.  She was conscious today, and she didn’t know how to feel about it.  She had died, she knew she had died, she remembered the way she had died.  She wished she didn't because it always made her finicky and it made her feel like she wanted to claw off her own skin at times.  Besides, if she began to actually think about it, she would go back to the mazy mist that clouded her brain.  That was almost worse because every time she came back she lost once again and didn’t know how long it had been, where she was, what had happened to her, it was a truly awful and disorienting feeling to exist.  The worst part was because she was trained to never let herself be that adrift in the first place, so the fact that it happened so often and for so long made everything even worse.  It was always the worst when she came to when she was alone.  Nobody was there to ground her and all she could do was panic until the haze overtook her senses once more.  She glanced around the den feeling the heat from the flames caress her unnaturally cold skin.  It was nice, that was until a flash of a burning city came into her mind.  It was so hot, the scent of charred skin hung heavy in the air and she couldn’t breathe!  Screams resounded in her head and despite her attempts to cover her ears to quiet the sound, it only made the cries of agony grow lounder, and louder, and LOUDER!
“Marinette, it’s okay.  You’re not in Paris anymore.  It’s all over.  Please Mari, I need you to breathe.”
Someone was holding her wrists in a firm yet gentle grasp as her head was gently against something firm yet comfortable.  The first thing she noticed was the slow rise and fall of object she could now decipher as her older brother's chest.  Then she heard the constant ba-dump of a heartbeat.  She tried her best to match her breathing to the rhythm, taking her time and trying her best not to fall back into the cloud.  She didn’t want to go back, she wanted to stay here in this moment, able to comprehend the world and people around her.  She didn’t want to miss anything else.
“You’re not in Paris.  You never have to go back there again.  You did such a good job, and we’re so proud of you.”
She tuned into the sound of her brother’s voice and took in the scent of his aftershave.  She was okay, it would be okay.
“Th-thank you.”
She murmured.  Because of how long she went in her hazes unable to properly speak her voice had been quiet and almost inaudible due to disuse.  She hated it.
Dick gave her a gentle smile and placed a gentle kiss to the crown of her head.
“I’ve got you Mare.  You’ll be okay.”
Marinette leaned into her brother’s gentle touch and was so very thankful that the void hadn’t taken her right then.  In fact, she was able to stay like that for another good hour before the haze washed over her once more.
***
She wasn’t going to kie, this was the worst time to come out of haze, no doubt about it.  It was slow, but she knew what was going on.  There was warm water rushing down her body and somebody was scrubbing her hair.  She nearly screamed when she realized what was going on.  Her head snapped to the side in full awareness and the person bathing her almost fell from shock.  It was Selina, she internally sighed with relief.  They stared at each other for a few moments before Selina smiled at her and whispered,
“Is it alright if I finish, I was just about to rinse the conditioner out.”
Marientte stared at her for a bit longer contemplating whether or not she was actually okay with that.  When she was unable to move her arms from her side and unable to stand up from the stool she was situated on she reluctantly agreed.
Of course she trusted Selina, but this was just so embarrassing and goodness this was awkward.  Why of all times did she have to come to know.  She tried to sit still and not think of the water trickling past her face and how it reminded her of the attacks made by Stormy Weather.  The rain that fell down her face as cries from civilians resounded as some were killed in tornadoes and twisters, others in collateral damage, and how many froze to death trapped in giant blocks of ice.  The sound of mourning parents and children as the rain continued to beat down upon her.  Once the water was off she was glad to be wrapped in the warm and fuzzy towel.  She was shivering though, more so than a normal person would after getting out of a warm shower and attacked by cold air.  No, she assumed this was the consequence she got for pulling a Jason, a broken internal heating system.
“It’s going to be alright dear.  Let’s get you dressed then I’ll bring you down for dinner.”
Marinette didn’t bother asking for the date at this point, it was worthless until she was fully healed and able to stay continuous for more than a few hours a day.  She let Selina dry her hair, brush and braid it, dress her into a warm pair of sweats, a thick cozy sweater and warm fuzzy socks with the grippies on the soles.  It was nice really, and the chill wasn’t as bad now.  She let Selina pick her up, as her legs just would not hold her, and bring her down stairs to the dining room.  She leaned into all of her touches, nearly basking in it in hopes that she could bring the feelings back with her when she went back to the void.
There was loud chatter from the dining room and when they entered everyone glanced up.  She was glad that instead of falling silent their smiles simply got brighter when they saw her eyes were indeed cognizant.
“Angel, tell these hooligans that it is acceptable to hit someone when they offer it!”
Damian said as he crossed his arms and puffed out his chest.  Marinette smirked as she was carefully deposited in her seat next to her brother.
“That depends, how was the offer phrased?”
She asked playfully.
“I think it is okay to follow through when the imbecile askes, ‘what are you going to do, hit me?’”
Marientte giggled a little and nodded as if she were in thought.
“I agree with Damian, at that point they are asking for it.”
Dick pouted,
“Blueberry, we’re trying to not encourage him to hit his fellow students.”
Marinette raised a brow at that and shrugged.
“Not like I knew he hurt anyone because of that line.”
Jason nodded at that and pointed at her with his fork.
“She has a point.  Can’t blame her when she was asked a question with no background knowledge.”
Dick nodded with fake seriousness.
“True, true.  But now that you know it, do you still stand by that statement?”
He asked with an obvious fake serious voice.
Marinette mirrored him and set her face into one of full concentration before she gave a curt nod.
“Yes, I do.  They asked for it, thus it is still okay.”
Damian smiled triumphantly while Jason gave her a subtle thumbs up while Dick pouted and Bruce just gave a TiredDad™ sigh.  Marinette was so happy while she ate that she completely forgot about any thoughts of Paris or her gruesome demise.  She was even able to watch a full movie with her family in the Den.  Unfortunately, she was still consumed by the haze once again, but she was getting better.  Soon, maybe she would never be forced into a haze again, but until then she would take as much as she could get with her short bouts of consciousness.

Bruce:" I am not collecting children! They find me!"
Flash:"Yeah, right. Don't believe you."
Bruce: "What do you think? I put my arms out, and a new child falls into my arms to adopt!"
To show case it,
Bruce stretched out his arms only for two babies to land in his arms. With a name tag on them. Daniel and Marinette.
Bruce:" This doesn't prove anything."
+
Bruce is on speaking terms with their families. As the meta-babies most often teleported, Maddie and Jack met Sabine and Tom. And now they talk at least once a week, as Bruce and family is kind of part of it too.

Daminette December 2023:9-Gremlin
"So there is a list for each of them." Marinette explained, "Allergy information, bedtime schedule, food they avoid, and emergency phone numbers."
"We are the emergency phone numbers." Jason interjected.
Marinette glared at him as Damian put down the duffel bag with the kids clothes and a diaper bag.
"Marinette, everything will be fine." Dick spoke calmly, "You both deserve a night out with out your kids."
"Yeah." Tim stated, "How long was your last date night that didn't involve a diaper change intermission or passing out on the couch?"
Marinette frowned, but Damian placed a kiss on top of her head.
"Angel, don't worry so much. Amaya, Jun, and Malik are in capable hands." Damian stated.
"Aw." Dick cooed.
"If anything happens to our children, I'll kill them in their sleep." Damian declared.
Jason sighed, "You both are making such a big deal about this! You are leaving them in Wayne Manor, one of the safest places in Gotham. We take care of a whole city; we can take care of our nieces and nephew. You're only going to be gone three hours max, depending on traffic and resturant service. You're not even leaving Gotham!"
"Jason's right." Tim explained, "Look, there's three of them and three of us. We can conquer and divide this. If you two can do it, us three can, too."
Marinette sighed, "Fine. Have fun."
Once they got into the car, Damian turned to her.
"You think they will call us?" He questioned.
Mari smiled, "No. They would have to put their pride aside for that. I'm sure they will do everything wrong."
Damian chuckled, "Well, Habibiti, let's go and enjoy our dinner."
"Man, it's like she doesn't trust us!" Jason complained.
"To be fair," Tim interjected, "we have never watched them by ourselves. Damian and Marinette are usually in the same room with us when we spend time with them."
Dick looked over Amaya, Jun, and Malik. They looked so different, but appeared so angelic. Suffice to say the Waynes freaked out when Amaya was born was an understatement. Amaya looked just like Talia, but Tom also had brown hair and green eyes, so he took the credit for his granddaughter having his appearance with Damian's skin tone. Jun looked just like Damian and Malik looked just like his mother. Dick's only worry was Malik. Malik was still only a years old. Amaya was six and was already in the first grade and Jun was in preschool, but he was sure that Amaya and Jun could help with tiny things.
"I'll take care of Malik." Dick offered, "Divide and conquer, just like you said."
"Have you read these lists?" Jason laughed, "Don't let Jun eat after 7PM and her bedtime is 7:30PM. Don't get Malik wet; not even a drop. Don't expect him to sleep when the others go to bed. Amaya's says to supervise when she color and her bed time is at 8PM."
"No water?" Dick questioned.
"Not to spill water on him." Tim sighed, "Just be careful when you bottle feed him. At least there's no bath time on there. I'll watch Jun and Jason can watch Amaya. He can read and she can color. Simple."
Damian and Marinette entered Wayne Manor to find the living room in chaos. It was 10PM and all three of their kids were still awake.
"What is going on here?" Marinette shouted.
Everyone froze.
"Maman! Baba!" Amaya and Jun shouted, running up to their parents.
Damian glared at his older brothers, "Why aren't they asleep? Marinette gave you specific instructions."
"Why is Malik wearing different socks and different clothes?" Marinette questioned.
"He spilled a drop, a drop, of water on his sock!" Dick complained, "He freaked out and wouldn't stop crying until I changed him. By that point, he was thirsty and then he spilled on his shirt. I changed him immiediately after that."
"That's why I said not to get water on him." Marinette sighed.
"I can see Amaya wasn't supervised." Damian declared, "I wonder how Father will feel about his new colorful mural at hip height."
"Blame Jason!" Tim cried out, "He was suppose to watch her, but he got too wrapped up in his book."
"Why aren't you asleep, Amaya?" Marinette asked their eldest daughter.
"Not comfy." she pouted.
Jason sighed, "She kept saying how the couch wasn't as comfy as her bed."
"Why didn't you let her sleep in your bed?" Damian growled.
"You want me to leave my neice in my room?" Jason shouted, "You know what I keep in there!"
Damian rubbed his forehead in frustration. He spotted Jun running laps around the living room.
"And Jun?" he questioned.
"Tim helped me with Malik when he was flailing around and I was trying to change him." the eldest Wayne admitted.
"And?" Mari snarled.
"We thought it would be okay to leave them alone for a moment." Tim whispered, "Amaya and Jun were watching a movie."
"What happned?" Damian demanded.
"She snuck into the kitchen and ate four cookies." Tim answered, "She's been burning off the sugar ever since."
"Sorry." the Wayne boys declared.
"Amaya, Jun." Mari called out, "I want all of your things put away in the bag, "Damian make sure everything is in there. I'm going to get Malik in his car seat and meet you outside. Both of you are going to bed when we get home. Jun, no cookies for you for a week."
Jun stomped her foot and began to pick up her toys in a sour mood.
"A week?" Dick whined, "It was a mistake that we made."
"No, Richard." Mari declared, "Jun knew she wasn't suppose to have any cookies before we got here. I spoke to her about it before we left."
Mari walked out the front door with Malik in her arms. Amaya and Jun made quick work of their belongings. Amaya waved to her uncles as she yawned and walked out the door. Damian held his second daughter's hand and the duffel bag. Jun sadly waved and walked out the door, pouting.
"Those three are gremlins." Jason stated.
"Sweet like their mother and a Hellraiser like their father?" Tim answered.
"Nope." Jason replied, "Like actual Gremlins, like the movie. Don't get them wet. Don't feed them after dark."
"It was don't get them wet, avoid bright lights, and don't feed them after midnight." Dick rebutted, "Those three love the park. Damian and Marinette take them all the time with Titus."
"And the other two?" Tim questioned.
"We should have listened to Marinette rules." Dick answered.
The three sighed.
Damian and Marinette smiled as their kids slept in the back of their car.
"You were right, Habibiti." Damian spoke, "They are asleep and likely my brothers' will be trying to get back in our favor. How about we go out for dinner same time next month?"
Marinette giggled, "I'd love too."

Dick, excitedly showing his newest little sister Marinette the Batcave: This is the Batcave! Overe there is the Batcomputer and here we sharpen our Batarangs. On this side are the Batbikes and if you follow this path you'll find the Batplane. And right here is the Batmobile! Isn't it amazing? We should totally take you on a joy ride with it, don't you agree? What do you say?
Marinette, slowly taking it all in: I feel like you were going for a theme with this ... Let me guess? Moody broody late-pubescent goth?
Alfred: Very well said, Miss Marinette.
Jason, peering at a stricken-looking Bruce: Well, I guess trying to show off how cool you are to your new daughter might not go as planned. Any contingencies, old man?
Tim: Going off of experience, it's having a moody brooding session in the dark cave. You know, like a late-pubescent goth.
Bruce, murmuring: I didn't even name most of these things, why am I getting attacked?

Double Lives
Damian was certain that his wife was keeping a secret from him.
He trusted her with his life, of course—Marinette had kept a number of things from him in the earlier stages of their relationship, like her experience and trauma in Paris. He knew not to pry, and eventually she opened up. He was glad that some burden was taken off her shoulders.
But this was different. She was deliberately trying not to get caught; she took care to hide her phone from his view, and there were days she'd come home very late. When asked, she'd get irritable but also nervous around him. Damian didn't want to assume things right off the bat, but he did hope she would finally grow comfortable to talk it out with him. And so he resisted using his ‘resources’ to peek into her life—what kind of distrusting partner would he be if he did that?
He knew, too, that he was being awfully hypocritical. He was still yet to sit her down and reveal his vigilante alter ego to her as well as his family's. Damian would swear he planned to rip the bandaid off when they got engaged. But he couldn't bring himself to do it, out of the fear that she'd leave him. As far as he knew, Marinette wanted a normal quiet life after living through the Evil Butterfly Man's reign of terror. Telling her his identity would just put a target on her back, if there wasn't any already after she became a Wayne.
He couldn't imagine his sweet innocent wife exposed to the horrors of vigilantism.
Still, even though he had his own secrets, it felt quite frustrating not to know hers. That was what Damian was thinking one dark night when the door finally opened, signalling her arrival from work.
“Damian?” Her eyes widened. “Why are you still up? You shouldn't have waited for me.”
“It's alright. I couldn't sleep anyways.” And I will be sneaking out for patrol later. He stood up to kiss her cheek—
But froze upon seeing a red mark right at the base of her neck.
Marinette hummed tiredly. “Next time, don't wait for me if you're tired, okay?”
“. . . What's that on your neck?” He dared to ask.
Her hand immediately flew to the spot on her skin. For a split second, her expression changed into a hint of annoyance. “It's—it's . . .” she stammered, “I accidentally hit myself.”
“You hit yourself?”
She nodded meekly.
Damian stared at her for a moment. There was one thing he knew about his wife: she was a bad liar. But she was expert at omitting things, partly because she probably knew he wouldn't interrogate her further. He knew that she was aware it was the vaguest of explanations but she never tried to elaborate.
He mustered out a smile. “Be careful next time.”
She let out a nervous laugh and squeaked out a ‘yes’.
“By the way.” He took a deep breath, “I visited your office this morning.”
“Oh?”
“Yes, and your secretary told me you hadn't punched in for the day yet.”
The silence between them was thick.
“Ah . . .” Damian could practically see the gears turning in her head. “That was . . . erm, I had to run an errand before work! Yeah . . .”
“I see. I was hoping to have lunch with you earlier but it seems that you're busy nowadays.”
She cursed in French under her breath.
“I'm really sorry, Damian.” She fidgeted with her fingers. “I'll make time this week. I promise.”
She hurried off to their bedroom, leaving Damian with his thoughts.
He really really didn't want to assume the worst. But his heart was racing and when he looked at the signs, they were clear as day. His mind started to spiral a little, wondering where he could've gone wrong, wondering if he didn't spend enough time on her or if she felt that he wasn't giving enough effort.
But he pushed all those thoughts away and followed her to bed.
***
One Saturday afternoon saw Robin and Superboy in the Watchtower's breakroom, talking about Damian's predicament. He hoped his friend could at least contribute an objective outsider's perspective in his dilemma and encourage him to broach the topic with Marinette.
“She's cheating,” Superboy deadpanned.
“She's—she's not,” he argued back, “Perhaps I am just reading too much into it . . .”
“Um but the hickey? The late night escapades?” Superboy frowned. “I don't know about you, but I don't think there's any other explanation for it.”
Robin bit his tongue. No, it's not possible. He loved Marinette terribly, and he knew—he could feel the same love from her if not more.
His friend sighed, “Look, I know it's hard to believe. Even I don't think M can be . . . unfaithful but you should confront her about it.”
“I can't. I can't face her like that when I am still keeping a secret of my own.”
“Then tell her you're Robin. A secret for a secret, hm?”
Robin didn't even want to think about how messy that conversation would be.
“It's all just about communication,” Superboy continued. “If you're worried she won't accept you, take my mom and dad as an example—”
He stopped talking, indicating that he sensed another presence nearby. Just on cue, a fuming Ladybug stomped into the breakroom, heading straight to one of the refrigerators.
The two men watched as she muttered angrily while looking around for food—Robin could see the clear exhaustion on her tensed figure. The Parisian heroine had joined the Justice League after the Hawkmoth fiasco became public; the heroes were quick to recruit her but not before she voiced out her complaints about the League neglecting her city. Though she hadn't revealed her identity to anyone, she had formed bonds with the other heroes her age, not excluding Robin and Superboy.
Superboy winced when she kicked the fridge door.
Ladybug did a hundred eighty, showing both the fires of hell and sleepless nights in her blue eyes. “You don't happen to have an extra stock of Kryptonite, do you?”
Superboy looked at her warily. “What happened this time?”
“Your dad assigned me to another magic-involved mission!” She tugged at her hair, sitting beside them. “I thought I made it clear I didn't want to be involved in too many missions especially if it's non-miraculous related ones!”
“You could . . . tell him that?”
She shot a sharp glare at them. “You don't think I did? They're insisting it's miraculous related when Constantine hasn't even confirmed anything! Just because Paris was terrorized, it doesn't mean miraculi are going to pop out from everywhere! These missions are affecting my normal life!”
It was a common complaint for heroes who had alternate civilian lives, but Robin was a bit surprised that she was that open about her feelings.
“And—and Batman too!” She pointed a finger at Robin. “I know Monsieur Furry's guilty about the Paris thing and all and me not having a mentor but he keeps checking on my progress after missions liked a damned helicopter parent! “
Before either of them could reply, she continued ranting, “I was going to meet an important client yesterday but they just had to call me in to help with the mission! And then it goes on until freaking midnight! What about my precious sleep?! Then Zatanna accidentally used a spell on me—it hit my neck and now it looks like a hickey!”
Her head dropped onto the table. “How the fuck do I fucking explain that to my husband?!”
Robin and Superboy looked at each other, wide-eyed.
“You—you haven't told your husband that you're a hero?” Superboy asked carefully.
Not lifting up her head, she replied with a muffled voice, “Of course not! I can't do that to him! He's already exposed to enough danger because of his last name! I just can't tell him ‘ hey mon amour so I'm actually that heroine from Paris on top of my emotional PTSD!’”
Robin swallowed. That was Marinette's name for him.
It ticked too many boxes.
He started to subconsciously connect the dots: catching his wife absent at work at the time the magic-wielding team of the JL was away on a mission; Ladybug sharing that she finally linked up messages from her yoyo to her personal phone; his wife coming home late, tired and fatigued from head to toe when all she was supposed to be doing was designing.
“I'm sure he'll come to understand your circumstances,” Superboy consoled.
“He won't.” The heroine sat up, revealing that her eyes were now welling up with tears. “He probably hates me right now because I'm sending the wrong signals. What if he thinks I'm just taking advantage of him for his money? His family already hates me! What if he's filing for a divorce right now?”
Robin felt the nudge from his friend, as if to tell him to do damage control. Superboy abruptly stood up, spouted out an excuse about being called by someone, and left the room to the two of them.
Ladybug sniffed, “Sorry, you probably didn't want to hear all of that.”
“It helps to get your problems off your chest.” Robin awkwardly patted her head. In truth, she was really Marinette, he wanted to pull her into a hug already.
He coughed. “Why—why do you think your husband's family hates you?”
“Oh . . . I don't know, but his father’s always distant. Whenever I'm at a family dinner, they're just very quiet,” she replied sadly. “I know they're good people but I felt like I didn't belong somehow. My husband keeps saying they adore me though.”
Robin wanted to sigh out loud. His father still had his guard up because he believed she was a civilian, hence there was a side of her family they could never show her. It was always quiet due to Alfred's stern lecture about behaving in front of Marinette lest they accidentally spill something they shouldn't.
“It sounds like your husband cares a lot about you,” he told her, “Don't you think he would trust you if you told him the truth?”
“But I can't! I don't know where to begin!” She pursed her lips. “He's always been good to me and he never steps the line even if I'm obviously lying. I just . . . I thought I could tell him before we got married but I was too scared and I didn't want to ruin what we had.”
“But he won't think any differently of you, would he?”
“No . . .”
“Then you have nothing to be afraid of.” He smiled a little. “It may come off as a shock at first but he will accept it in time. You will be stressing yourself out even more if you keep thinking about the worst scenarios.”
She stared at him. “When did you get so wise?”
“Ever since I started thinking about what my wife was doing.”
She tilted her head. “Huh?”
It was unmistakable. Those gleaming blue eyes were Marinette's.
He was such an idiot.
“She keeps coming home late, hides her phone every time I'm near,” he listed, gauging her reaction. “Last night, I found out she hadn't come to her office even when she said she was working, and I caught her with a strange mark on her neck.”
Her eyes slowly widened as she seemed to come to the same realization. The heroine's gloved hands flew up to cover her mouth. “Damian?” she whispered.
He checked if the coast was clear and slowly peeled off his domino mask to show his full face. “I'm sorry I didn't tell you habib –”
He was cut off by her warm lips, her arms winding around his neck. Damian immediately melted into her touch, relieved that they finally divulged their secrets. He wouldn't have to be worried about introducing her to the hero world after all.
He was extremely relieved, in fact, that he hadn't noticed his father and eldest brother stroll into the room.
“ROBIN! Are you cheating on your wife?!”
Robin pulled away from Ladybug, withholding a sigh of exasperation. He put his mask back on and turned around to see Batman looking constipated and Nightwing utterly shocked.
"How could you do that to—to . . ." Nightwing cried out.
"Leave us." He glared.
"Robin—" His father's voice was tinged with disapproval.
"Leave. Us."
Fortunately, the two scurried off. Damian faced his wife, who seemed as flabbergasted. He was worried since it was her identity that was at risk, unless he embraced the unexpected cheating allegations.
"Oh my kwamis," Ladybug said softly, "I called my father-in-law a furry ."
"It's deserved." He rubbed up and down her shoulders. "What do you want to do?"
"Oh um . . ." She ducked her head. "Maybe go home and I'll—I'll explain everything from the beginning."
***
Damian had to recount his life story after his wife shared hers whilst they cuddled in bed. After they talked, he was surprised to learn so many new things about her—he thought he had her memorized already, even before they exchanged vows. At the same time, he was mentally kicking himself for thinking that Marinette was never closely involved in the war against Hawkmoth.
Of course she was Ladybug.
Of course she was a hero.
So while she was spiraling at the number of times she'd unknowingly mocked her in-laws in the suit, he was regretting not telling her the truth sooner. If they'd opened up years ago, he would've stayed by her side during missions, helping her deal with the troubles of having a masked alter egos, and sharing his own experiences with her. A stronger bond would've formed between them, because they both understood the hero's life after all this time.
Not long after, she finally decided she was ready to tell the Waynes who she was. ‘It would do more harm than good if I kept hiding it anyway,’ she reasoned. He did agree, since she was part of the family, both as Ladybug and Marinette. The others would surely be overjoyed (and less overprotective) if they found out that she was a hero. What Damian found strange, however, was Marinette seemed to worry that Bruce's opinion on her would change and he'd become ‘distant’ as Batman as well.
“Remember, Batman is afraid of you,” he had reminded her over and over again.
(And Batman would be ecstatic to discover that Ladybug was his daughter-in-law, but Damian would never tell her that. The caped vigilante had grown fussy over the Parisian heroes as his way of ‘making up’ for the Paris incidents . . . But at the same time, he cowered ever so slightly when Ladybug raised her voice on him. Damian's siblings blamed Ladybug's black hair and blue eyes for triggering the adopt-itis.)
And so Damian and Marinette decided to arrange a family lunch to break the news to everyone. It was then Damian remembered that there was one issue he hadn't resolved yet.
“If you don't tell Marinette today, I'm telling her.” Dick glared at him from across the table.
Damian glanced at his watch. His wife wasn't present yet, and had sent him a message about picking up pastries from Paris first.
“Tt. That would mean revealing our identities, Richard.” He crossed his arms.
“Just because you have the mask on it doesn't mean you can do that to her!” Dick argued. “Does Ladybug even know you're married?! ”
“What did he do to Pixie-pop?” asked Jason.
“He---he—” Dick was once again trembling in anger and disbelief.
“We saw him kissing Ladybug.” It was Bruce who replied. “Damian, I never expected this from you. You will have to talk and apologize to Marinette.”
“You did what?!” Jason stood up so abruptly that the utensils clattered.
“What the fuck?” Tim exclaimed.
Stephanie gasped. “What the hell Damian?”
“Holy shit,” Duke whispered.
Damian could only stare at the entryway of the dining hall, hoping that Marinette would arrive soon. If he was left with his family any longer, they'd be beating him up and disowning him.
“I have . . . a reason,” he said through gritted teeth. He couldn't exactly tell them right off the bat, since Marinette wasn't there yet.
“Open . . . open relationship?” Cass frowned.
Suddenly, a bright light appeared at the ceiling—a portal— and from it, a figure dropped down, much to everyone's shock. Ladybug, unified with the Horse miraculous, grinned at them with an armful of boxes filled with croissants and macarons.
“Ladybug?” Bruce gaped.
“Your daughter-in-law actually.” She lowered the sunglasses, showing her narrowed eyes. “And your worst fucking nightmare.”
“W---What?”
Damian could barely control his laughter, seeing his father frozen.
She detransformed completely and scowled at Bruce. “This is technically your fault, furry old man! If you didn't keep agreeing to send me on those magical missions, I wouldn't be so tired and caused a misunderstanding in the first place.”
Damian didn't have time to shield himself from the eruption of noise on the table. With his wife's theatrical reveal, everyone was in different states of shock. Tim stood up quietly to face a wall with a blank stare, entertaining another existential crisis. Duke choked on the water he was drinking. Jason was crouched on the floor miserably with his hands over his face, perhaps because of the times he complained to Marinette about Ladybug's uptight methods. Dick's jaw was completely unhinged, and he was slapping himself every minute or so. Stephanie passed a hundred dollar bill to Cass.
And Bruce. Poor Bruce was paler than their porcelain plates, speechless and unmoving.
Damian exchanged a wide smile with his wife. He loved her so much.

That One, I Want That One
Based on @fleursroses 's incorrect quote! <3
This is being posted as a oneshot on both my AO3 account and here on tumblr for now but I'm seriously considering turning it into a multi-chaptered fic because how well it was received. Someone said it had rom com potential and I can see it 😭
Daminette One Shot | Crack Fic | AO3
Damian tugged on the collar of his great dane, Titus, trying to get away from his imbecile brothers.
It was a futile endeavour, as his brothers merely sped up their walking pace, talking over one another.
“Come on, Dami! We just wanna know,” Richard— Grayson, because he was currently being a nuisance— whined.
Todd scoffed, waving around the toy Nerf gun he insisted on bringing. “You know what? The brat’s probably better off without a wife, god forbid whoever gets stuck with him forever. I bet you, the little shit’s gonna be the one blackmailing someone into being his wife if he sees fit.”
“Fuck you, Todd.” Damian’s fingers itched to grab his katana and slit it over his idiotic brother’s throat but at last, his father and pseudo grandfather figure, Alfred, had confiscated the knives he tried to sneak out on their business trip to Paris.
Drake sipped on his coffee, his head bobbing up and down as he struggled to stay awake, even as he mumbled an incoherent, “You’re never going to get an answer if you aggravate him like that, Jay. Although I’d still like to know as well.”
He hadn’t finished his sentence when he stumbled into a nearby pedestrian, almost kissing the ground had Todd not grabbed him by the collar at the last second.
During the mishap, the coffee cup Drake was holding spilled onto the floor, seeping into the ground as he stared at it with mournful eyes. “My coffee!”
Todd rolled his eyes, letting go of the sleep-deprived Drake’s collar with an unsympathetic pat on the shoulder.
Damian’s lips curved up to a smirk. Perhaps that would keep Drake quiet for a few minutes as he mourned his spilled coffee.
Unfortunately, that didn’t stop Grayson or Todd from their irritating line of questioning his so-called ‘love life’.
Damian glared when Grayson pulled out the puppy doll eyes, accompanied by his repeated question, “Come on, please? Just answer the question— what’s your ideal type?”
“Repeating the question with that pathetic expression of yours does not make me any more inclined to answer your question.” Damian spotted a bakery up ahead and approached it, ignoring Grayson’s pout.
Perhaps his dingbat brothers would behave themselves in an embellishment full of people, although that would be wishful thinking on his part.
His brothers, of course, followed him and continued to push their relentless questions onto him
Todd grabbed his arm, stopping him, a glint of glee in his eyes, no doubt finding amusement in his current predicament. “You know, we’re not going to stop bothering you until you tell us.”
Damian’s brows furrowed in annoyance, knowing full well from experience that his brothers would not stop poking and prodding until he did what they wanted.
Right now, they wanted to know his ideal type, and they claimed his answer was to sedate their ever-growing ‘curiosity’ when he knew they wanted to utilize the information to set him up with someone.
He scowled, making his decision. He would tell them only to make them stop badgering him about the inane question but that didn’t mean he was open to the idea of a relationship with someone they chose for him
“Fine. My future partner must be brave, strong, intelligent, successful and organized. You imbeciles better not utilize this information to set me up with someone or I will stab you.” He hissed, sending them his most intimidating glare for good measure.
Todd dared to smirk at him. “Not likely, Demon Spawn. And even if we did, you won’t stab us. You’re all bark and no bite.”
In response, Damian kicked him in the knee, making the older double over with a grunt.
Before he could continue his assault, Grayson dragged him away, Todd spitting curses from where he lay on the ground in a starfish position, the Nerf gun on the ground beside him.
Grayson was already wearing the contemplative expression he had on whenever he was about to do something stupid. “Okay~ that’s enough, little D. Back to what we were discussing, your future girlfriend has to be brave, strong, and smart, you say?”
Damian gritted his teeth. “You are paraphrasing at best but I assume you already got the general idea because I am not going to repeat myself for your benefit.”
He turned and before he could turn the door handle of the bakery to continue his dramatic exit (or in this case, dramatic entry), the door flew open and it would’ve hit him in the face had it not been for his quick reflexes.
The scowl reappeared on his face and he turned back to reprimand the person who dared try to attack him with a door to see a girl about his age, shuffling past his bewildered brothers in a hurry.
Damian blinked, watching as the girl with raven-haired pigtails promptly tripped over nothing, crashing into the pole, the box she was holding fell from her hands and macaroons came tumbling out.
He watched with interest as the girl mumbled out apologies to the inanimate object, picking up the fallen macaroons from the ground while she did and putting them back in the box.
Snapping out of his daze, he handed Titus’s leash to Grayson before moving to help the girl, grabbing the remains of the macaroons from the ground and placing them in a neat row in the box.
He held out a hand for the girl to take, which she accepted with a grateful look and he pulled her to her feet.
Getting a good look at her face, he was filled with a fluttering sensation in his stomach and he ignored it, thinking he must be coming down with a stomach bug. “Are you alright? That was quite a fall.”
Her bluebell eyes were blown wide, staring into his green ones with surprise. She broke the stare first, shaking her head before responding, “I’m fine! Thank you for your help, I’m sorry you had to see that.”
Her phone dinged and she yelped. “I’m sorry but I’m already late, see you around, mysterious handsome but kind person!”
He opened his mouth to respond but she had already sped away, only catching sight of her red face as she turned.
His face heated as his mind caught up with her words. The girl was definitely something…
He felt an arm going around his shoulders and he didn’t react, still staring in the direction the girl took off.
“So, didn’t know Demon Spawn had it in him to talk to a pretty girl without scowling,” Todd drawled, the beginning of a teasing expression appearing on his face when he noticed the dazed look his youngest brother was sporting.
Damian shoved him away, looking distracted.
Drake shook his head, mumbling, “I must be hallucinating, Demon Spawn would never willingly talk to someone, much less a girl.”
“That one. I want that one.” Damian declared, unknowingly sending his adopted brothers into cardiac arrest at the words that fell out of his mouth.
Grayson looked torn between looking wary and gleeful. “Uh… what do you mean by ‘that one’, little D?”
Damian didn’t look at him as he pointed in the direction the girl ran off. “Her.”
Todd’s jaws gaped like a fish, for once, speechless.
Drake in his sleep-deprived state can only dumbly respond, “That’s not how it works, Damian. You can’t just go around adopting people.”
Damian finally dragged his gaze away from the direction the girl had long run off in, glaring at his brothers with his cheeks blazing red. “Not adoption, you imbecile.”
Not giving them the time to respond, he continued, a look of stress crossing his expression before he willed it away. “You lot have to keep Father from adopting her, it would cause complications.”
Grayson hummed. “She does meet the criteria, black hair and blue eyes.”
Todd seemed to have unfrozen, shaking his head in denial. “Wait wait wait, just wait a second. You’re saying, she’s your ideal type? You literally met her 5 minutes ago! I thought you said your future partner must be and I quote ‘brave, strong, intelligent, successful and organized’?”
He prattled on, not paying attention to how Titus had taken to getting slobber all over his shoes. “No offence to her but she tripped over air and crashed into the poll in front of her. The clumsy behaviour caught your eye of all things? Are you sure you haven’t been abducted by aliens?”
Damian glared, the red not receding from his face. He rounded on Drake. “Do a full background check on her, it is necessary for me to know everything about her if she were to be my partner.”
He paused, scowling. “Actually, I better do this myself. I need to know everything about her, it is better if you imbeciles stay as far away from her as possible. She does not need you all to monopolize her time.”
He grabbed Titus’s leash from Grayson and headed in the direction of Le Grand Paris to do just that, leaving behind his shell-shocked brothers.
Jason turned to his brothers, looking amused now that he had gotten over his shock. “So, who’s gonna tell him that stalking is not the right way to woo a girl?”

Dp x Dc x ML AU: Sam changes her major to Fashion to piss off her mother, and hey, she’s good at altering pink shit into gothic gowns. Her new TA Marinette isn’t what she appears and... Marinette’s boyfriend looks just like Danny?
Sam, Danny, Tucker are all roomies as they attend Gotham U (well, Danny’s taking online classes- Ghost king duties are a bitch) and it’s time for Sam to change her major.
Sam started off in Plant Bio and that was great and she loved it until (A) She realized that to do real science she couldn’t rely on her connection to the Green and that it would skew her work and that (B) Pamela was fucking loving it. Pamela was doing the polite society equivalent of screaming from the rooftops about how smart Sam was to be a STEM major at GU and it made Sam feel gross about it. So… She switches to Fashion Design.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng is a PhD student working on a new specialized fabric (It’s for hero costumes not that anyone knows it yet), and is Sam’s TA for the semester.
After her first class, She and Mari and her kind of hit it off, like, incredibly well. Mari explains that she knows the style Sam is going after because of her love for Jagged Stone and then they bond over Humpty Dumpty.
Eventually they’ll bond over video games (Sam admits she sucks at UMS3 but would gladly kick her ass in Doomed). They start meeting in Mari’s office hours (which no one else goes to except for in cram weeks) and getting coffee.
Then one Damian Wayne appears and -BOOM Twin AU- Why the fuck does he look just like Danny?
Anywho: It’s been on my mind for a bit and I’ve started to write it. So uh, you can read it here if you’d like.
