Dalila Mallor - The Recluse

Dalila Mallor is an old and reclusive witch who lives in a small hut at the edge of the Pilbalt Quag, a dark and foreboding swamp that few dare to venture into. She is known to the locals as a wise woman, a healer, and a seer, but to others, she is a feared and mysterious figure.

Dalila was born into a family of powerful witches, and she inherited their knowledge and skills at a young age. She quickly surpassed her teachers in her mastery of the dark arts, and soon became one of the most powerful witches in the land.

For many years, Dalila used her powers for good, helping those in need and curing the sick. But as she grew older, her demeanor grew darker, and she began to delve deeper into the darker and more dangerous aspects of magic.

Now, Dalila is a feared and reviled figure, shunned by most and feared by all. Her hut at the edge of the Pilbalt Quag is said to be filled with strange and arcane objects, and the air around it crackles with the energy of her spells.

Despite her fearsome reputation, however, Dalila is not entirely without compassion. She is known to occasionally help those in need, but only if it suits her own dark purposes. Her powers are vast and varied, and she is skilled in a wide range of magic techniques, including divination, spellcasting, and necromancy.

Dalila's presence at the edge of the Pilbalt Quag is a source of unease and danger for those who venture into the swamp. Her powers are said to be at their strongest there, and many have gone missing in the murky depths of the swamp, never to be seen again.

Dalila Mallor is a complex and enigmatic figure, a powerful witch with a dark and mysterious past, whose powers and reputation continue to inspire fear and wonder in equal measure.

Hello, everyone!

There's a mysterious hut deep in the swamp. An ominous fire can be seen from outside, and a chilling atmosphere sends the group of adventurers into paranoia.

Their target is here, they can feel it in their very bones. They feel as if someone is watching their every move and they're not wrong.

But they decide to put their fears aside, press onward and finish the evil lurking in this swamp.

The creature tokens for this map are a Swamp Beetle, a Swamp Hag and a Swamp Witch. Emerald tier gets the Swamp Hag while Diamond tier gets all three. In addition, Sapphire tier gets extra creature token variants.

The swamp of the forgotten

Since the creation of the all-powerful, the world has been ruled by several species of creature. Among these races, there are several categories: the Elves. The Elves themselves have been separated into several peoples over the centuries. The Grey Elves, rejected by all sides and living on the bangs of the human race, have become primitive. Living off little and close to nature, their existence remains discreet and mysterious. Nevertheless, they are formidable warriors and practice druidic magic.

Here's a 50x50 plot for download. I needed to create a special world for this race, which was inspired by a French writer by the name of Fetjaine (this author influenced my adolescence). Unfortunately, I couldn't find a construction CC to suit my imagination. So I converted 4 objects from a 3D modeling site and incorporated them into my terrain (It's purely aesthetic!). You can find them as a detached link if you're interested. However, they are converted on an "Eco Lifestyle" basis.

For those who know me, I'm a fan of fantasy. So I made the terrain mystical with birch trees with shimmering leaves and red flowers (I know, I'm a bit perched 😅) but it's a change from the swamps we know. I'd like to thank the creators of CC for allowing me to build this atypical world. You'll find a non-exhaustive list of creators' names here, as well as my "Tray" folder. It's also perfect for those who want a touch of fantasy and survivalism (Sims live in huts). I hope you enjoy the game, and don't hesitate to share your screenshots with me!

The Dancing Hut of Baba Yaga is a 1995 adventure for AD&D 2e by Lisa Smedman with a cover by Jeff Easley.  The titular hut and tusked witch closely resemble Roger Raupp’s illustrations for "The Dancing Hut” adventure in Dragon 83 (March 1984).

It is a gorgeous sunny day full of wind (and pollen) and I just need the open road, one of the three CDs I've been listening to for twenty thirty years, a bag of (pretzel) combos, and a vaguely blasphemous fruity drink with mythologically inspired creatures on the label.

Trying to convince my brain that it's not "I only wrote 544 words today" but instead should be "Hey I wrote 544 words today!"

I am however hoping that I'll wake up from my nap with the motivation to write more words, because...my boys are in a swamp. I don't know why they're in the swamp, and I would very much like to find out.

So I’ve been on a bit of a Dragon Age kick lately and I am now low-key obsessed about the parallels between Queen Anora and Princess Leia... imprisoned by her dad’s accomplice and ‘rescued’ by the last two members of a now illegal order? “aren’t you a little short for a guard”? (Granted, these are the Warden’s words but still.) She even has the hair buns!!! I LOVE IT. ALL OF IT.
