Derek had done this twice before as a greeting, and both times, it was because Kate was nearby. If he walked in and came over to Stiles, asking if he could sit down, Stiles knew he was having a good day and the bitch was nowhere to be seen. If he walked in and kissed him as a greeting, chaste as it was, it meant there was a Kate somewhere.

Moby sweater update!

Shes starting to look like a sweater! Skeins 2 and 3 complete!

I’m trying a new method of felting the ends of skeins together, and I am loving not having to weave in ends, but boy is it terrifying.

i didn't draw enough this year to do a art recap so here's a doodle of every sweater i made this year with a bravely slapped on (*cough* soquel is still in progress)

i got really really into knitting. i don't really know why it got so bad. i think its some combination of two things - getting confirmed ADHD + getting my meds fixed with me wanting to make a sweater since high school and failing every single time and the sheer amount of defeat/spite pent up over the years turning to an insane streak of determination when i realized i had an attention span now, and slop becoming so much of a thing that digital art didn't really seem fun anymore. I'm tired of seeing a pretty picture online and having to scrutinize every bit of it to see if it was generated before i'm allowed to like it. I don't want people to look at my art the same way, even though it's a completely reasonable thing to do. And at the same time, i had a lot of burnout with art because nothing i made ever turned out the way i felt was acceptable. I know I keep saying "i want to do more art next year", but i think i actually have the stamina and drive now that i was able to take a step back and take a break (and that i have 8 sweaters behind me and my hands are very very sore...)

I have a set number of sweaters that I'm making next year and i would like to do some portraits. how many? who knows. but i want to have fun.

Current knitting project progress! A wool cabled sweater!

I’m working on the Moby Sweater by PetiteKnit, using Peer Gynt by Sandnes Garn in Almond. 1st skein done of the back yoke.

thought i would archive my crocheting progress where i can easily always look it up :3

this pattern is soooooooo. what the hell. almost done with it too only like 4/5 more rows to go i think!!! this is splendid serendipity by the loopy stitch and it’s just so gorgeous i am in love

so many new stitches i have never done before (popcorn, v, shell, front and back post stitches, bubble, and a bazillion clusters of various heights, and i am sure the last few rows will introduce even more)

important to note that the original pattern switches colors a bunch, and i am doing this all continuously without cutting the string ever lmao. this means i had to start new rows in funky unintended ways and these past three or four rows in completely different places than the tutorial/pattern actually does. because i’m silly and whatever

also it’s insane how my color changing yarn just almost perfectly matched for each round, i am in love (i am using Lang Yarns Merino+ Color Extrafine Superwash / No Mulesign, in color 926.0210 which is gorgeous but expensive so i am gonna try another square with some different yarn)
