we really talk a lot about how shitty it was they tried to make poe straight in tros and everything, but nothing breaks my heart more than the fact they made poe into the hot-headed dude whose past can only be described as a former drug dealer. there was literally no reason for any of it and we all know they only did it because hollywood loves to push harmful stereotypes on latinx actors no matter what setting they're in. it was so disrespectful and i can't stop thinking about this, oscar isaac deserved so much better

So I realized something last night...
You know the scene at the end of TROS where Ben falls and Rey lowers him down...
You know, this one:
Something has always bugged me about their movements and I finally put my finger on what it is. They played the clip backwards and possibly sped it up some.
And I can prove it:
The biggest give away is actually Adam’s hair. Hair is subject to rules of movement. For the most part, hair will travel in the opposite direction of the head unless there is a strong wind or something.
For example, here is the amazing thigh-grab scene. (Praise be, Rian Johnson). Pay close attention to Adam’s hair.
As Adam’s head moves down with his body, his hair is still up in the air. You can also see Daisy’s hair behave in a similar fashion.
Now look at this still I snagged from the end of TROS.
See Adam’s hair and how it has fallen back away from his head. If Adam was falling backwards when this scene was shot, his hair should still be against his head or moving in front of his face.
See what happens if I just isolate this section?
Notice how sharply Daisy’s fist lands on Adam’s chest? It’s almost as if she is punching him. Also look at how Adam’s hair is almost sucked to the ground? Or the slight rock of Daisy’s shoulder’s at the very end of the movement? All of these things make no sense in the context of the scene.
But what if I reverse the scene?
Makes more sense now right? Instead of punching Adam, Daisy is levying her weight to lift him. Adam’s hair now obeys the laws of gravity. The rock of Daisy’s shoulders is now her gaining momentum to lift Adam, who is considerably bigger than her.
And the whole clip together:
Just more evidence of the HEA that was stolen from Ben and Rey. I would bet money that the actually sequence involved Leia’s spirit saving her son, which is why Maz is smiling. Rey lifting Ben and then they kiss.
Disney has sold us the wrong story.
I’m Cat, and this has been my TED talk.
EDIT: I just realized another continuity mistake that backs up my theory. Adam’s arms are already at his sides when he starts his “fall” but his hand is on Rey’s shoulder during the scene right before the “fall.” We never see his arm drop which is another piece of evidence which indicates this scene has been HEAVILY edited.
EDIT OF THE EDIT: See my take on what I think the original cut looked like here: @cantstopthereylosignal

All in favor of just completely ignoring this whole bullshit spice runner history Poe's been given out of nowhere that seems to completely contradict everything we know about his history? Because as far as I'm concerned that is not canon.

when ur literally the victim of racist hate for your role in a space fantasy movie, and as a reaction the studio forgets everything you did in the previous film (including kissing one of the leads) and gives you 4 lines max in the next one

If we do get the ending we deserve and Ben Solo rises, we all need to be ready for JJ saying that he TOTALLY meant for his ending to be ambiguous and he TOTALLY meant to bring Ben Solo back even though we all know the truth. I’ll be okay with it but I’m always gonna cast a shady eye at you after this, JJ.
