     {➹} – THIS WAS...UNEXPECTED, if not a tad awkard given their differences in height. As much as Arrow wanted to ask what had brought it on, he couldn't quite form the words. Maybe they weren't needed. It seemed like one of those moments.

It was with a inkling of hesitation that he reached up to return the embrace. His hold was gentle, but firm.

He was trying to explore some of his powers, one of them was shadow jumping he can traverse through shadows depending on the distance. Although didn't think about where he would end up was very high up in a canopy, a prickly bush broke his fall.

Jin couldn't help the slight disapproving look before giving a sigh and continued on in his inspection of the scratches. Nathan really had been lucky he didn't break any bones as well. "Try not to be too reckless. I can only handle one reckless person at a time."

That other person being Feliks, who seemed to always end up in some sort of problem due to his overly friendly nature.

One of the most unfortunate parts of traveling so much was that many of the things they needed required funds that just didn't exist in their world.

Or they didn't have the correct currency and didn't want to lead to confusion.

But if one thing could be said about the former soldier, it was that he was adaptable. Off to the side of the bustling street was where he stood, guitar in hand with his bag open in front of him, with Gibbous lying comfortably under the flap and hidden from view.

The last thing he needed while playing was having to stop someone from attempting to touch the toddler before they lost fingers.

Really the only way to notice she was there was to watch the way her tail would occasionally wag while he played his guitar. The music was fast-paced, themed, and definitely done to draw a crowd. Mismatched eyes were only half opened as some of those passing by dropped the local currency inside the bag.

There was a blink. And then a couple more blinks. Kawiil wasn't quite sure what was happening. On moment she was just picking up a random chao to pet and the next came this stranger.

"...Angel Island...?" Her tone carried as if the answer was obvious.

It didn't take long for Ty's tail to begin wagging as he walked up to Nathan, pausing only to give the shifter a quick nuzzle on the cheek.

Even if there was some truth to what was being said about relationships, they did need proper care and didn't just happen. It wouldn't hurt to see where this would go after all and who knew — they could work out way better than anyone thought.

They're not supposed to be here. » Then poof gone not text or sight since then, but there was a sign of a struggle. After weeks of nothing, during the pouring rain there was a knock at their door. He looked at him when the door opened, fur missing in patches burn marks from electrical use and holding a broken arm. One of his eyes appeared damaged so he was only having one eye open. “ Don't… suppose I could ask for a cup of tea then I'll set off for home? ”

     {➹} – THE MESSAGE THAT came through had done nothing for the hedgehog's nerves, nor had the lack of answers when he tried for a response back from his friend over the next few minutes, hours and even days.

[Wait. Who's there?] [Saturn?] [Are you alright?]

There was nothing. No answer, not even the faintest hint of what had happened. Even after visiting the other's home in the dull hopes of finding them, Arrow found nothing but more problems. Something had happened, he was sure of that much, and it was nothing good. But he was at a loss. With no clues and no contact, there was nothing the hedgehog could do but wait. And hope that the other was alright.

So when there was a knock at his door late one night, he had both an expectancy and a sinking feeling in his stomach. Neither of which stopped him from opening the door, and once face to face with dark fur and familiar eyes, he cursed under his breath. Not in rejection, but unease.

"No, you'll stay here tonight." He wasn't going to take anything else for an answer, and the look in his eyes made that obvious before he moved to allow the other inside. But not without looking them over and frowning heavily. "Chaos, Saturn...what the hell happened?"

The small child did not know how he wound up here but he wasn't a fan of someone just coming up to him after past events. Hiding somewhere to fit his small frame, he gave a low growl and hissed like a feral animal. He clearly wasn't normal or fully human given his eyes, ears and horns with black skin blotches of shifter vitiligo.

Jin couldn't help the frown as he saw the child squeeze themselves into a small spot. He definitely wouldn't be able to crawl after them considering how tall he was, but he was more upset at how stressed the kid was. Especially considering at the moment he was wearing his human disguise, and this kid was clearly not human.

Who knows what trauma they had.

"Shhh, you're okay." Jin said in a soft voice, lowering himself into a squat. He allowed red scales to appear on his face, as if to show he wasn't what he appeared to be. "You're okay." He turned to glance behind him.

Feliks was giving a concerned look, fidgeting as he glanced between his friend, and past Jin's head to the child.

"We're friends." Jin said.

At least someone had decent taste. Harmony had to giggle at the way Blep had stretched himself and opened his wings to either side while swaying like a cobra. Hardly meant to be intimidating.

"My Unca gave him t' me when I was little. I've had him fer 10 years. His name is Blep." Harmony grinned and Blep stuck his tongue out as if on cue. "He used t' fit in my bandana but he got too big for that. Now he hangs out on my quills."

she hadn't been able to process what had really happened when the fighting started. only caught glimpses of the...dog? and the havoc they were wreaking at the village's one and only restaurant. she had decided to ignore it until after the robots were destroyed and eggman had left.

then she had quickly excused herself and followed the canine to the beach, unsure for a moment until they spoke and then she frowned.

"i know it was you, and you shouldn't have eaten everything. portion control is important, you know..."
