Sylvana Mystreet Rewrite: Sylvana comes from the real world equivalent of Mexico, which is Tu'la. She emmigrated because... Reasons. Lots of reasons.

She comes from a family line that is descendant of Irene, from Alina onwards. And in this family it's believed that one of their daughters will one day be the reincarnation of Irene herself, so this means that they're very... Strict. About carrying out this prophecy. They train the women in magicks and pretty much ignore the boys, so they're pretty matriarchal. All the women are named Irene and then a middle name to differentiate between them. Sylvana's real name is actually Irene Sylvana Sermatra (last name I made up). She's a magicks user and knows how to fight!! But for rewrite season 1-3 she comes across as just a regular mom. I changed one part of her design and it's just that she carries a seemingly decorative necklace with angel wings. She's promised Aphmau she'll inherit it when she's older but otherwise it looks like an unsuspecting peice of jewelry.

Sylvana was a magicks prodigy in her family and everyone was convinced she was Irene's reincarnation and she was kept very stifled and sheltered. Eventually she snapped and ran way with the necklace (a very important family heirloom) to a completely different country to escape her families control after they gave up on her being Irene and wanted to marry her off to continue the Sermatra line. (The Sermatra's would try to find powerful or noble people to marry their daughters to. Sylvana was going to be asked to marry a suspected descendant of Shad, ironically.) Sylvana gets to Ru'an and makes a series of stupid, trauma filled decisions that land her with Aphmau being born out of wedlock and them in moderate poverty. She befriends Zianna and Zi helps her get back onto her feet before she goes through her own thing with Garte.

Now she works as a librarian for the Phoenix Drop Library and guards their secret stash of relics. They have a LOT of historical leftovers from the IR period. (Irene's return period.)

in my rewrite a lot of different families knew each other for instance the Ro'meaves and shalashaska family have had ties since zianna and sylvanna were in high school.

in my rewrite sylvanna and zianna practically raised their kids together.

sylvanna and zianna never moved away from each other and garroth zane and vylad never forgot who Akemi was because they were neighbors their whole life

this also led to the Ro'meaves meeting Akemis cousins and aunt gene dante and maria oceans

Garroth met Laurence when he was in daycare and Zianna ended up befriending both of Laurence's fathers hayden and joh. so zianna would have the zvahls over which led to the meeting cadenza

this also led to the shalashaska family meeting the zvahls

Garte met Caelus Silverdeath when they met to discuss a business deal and they ended up working together and becoming friends. this led to zianna meeting Caelus's wife Terra Silverdeath. zianna and terra formed a frenemy relationship. eventually the Ro'meave brothers met the silverdeath children Janus, Saturn and Opis

(does anyone notice the silverdeath family name references also janus's siblings will get designs after i finish cadenzas one)

the shalashaska and zvahl family also ended meeting the silverdeaths

garte met Dereck Lycan while they were both in university and became friends (and maybe a bit more ;) ) and after they both got married their wives became friends and their children ended up being close (less so with Aaron)

The Lycans also met the silverdeath family the shalashaska family and the Zvahl family

all of the families are still in contact and have get togethers quite often

Derek/Rachel. 8/10. They're definitely a power couple and all but Derek's an asshole to her so she kinda deserves better.

Derek/Aphmau. 6/10 because it could work. Maybe. As they are both fucking dumb.

Derek/Zianna. 3/10 could never work cause Derek is too much of a.. idk Garte simp to have an affair with his wife? Maybe in an au though.

Derek/Garte. 9/10 would be there if there was more chemistry, but there is only weird puppy love.

Derek/Rowan. 1/10. I guess Rowan's not his real father but I doubt that Derek would wanna be with the same exact person who raised him? I don't know Derek's weird so maybe there's a small chance? The one is only there for the chance.

Derek/Michael. 0/10. Would only ship for the angst and problems of it. Derek is an asshole and all but Michael is way worse to him so I don't think they should actually be together in a romance[the genre].

Derek/Zack. 10/10. It's a lot of angst and stuff but also it could genuinely work out without being abusive. They both seem to know how to push each other's buttons but also calm each other down, the ship is basically top tier.

Derek/Terry. 7/10. A little bit boring but I guess it could work?

Derek/Elizabeth. 4/10. I'm confused on what to do with this ship.

Derek/Eric. 6/10. Yes.

Derek/Sylvana. 2/10. Absolutely not. I love Sylvana and all but she's.. weird like her daughter[You know.. the werewolf thing?]

All of these were Derek ships for a reason, and that's because he has small amount of ships. Which makes him perfect so I don't have to spend days on this post.

I think making Zach a werewolf instead of Sylvana was a missed opportunity. Let me elaborate.

It would've made Sylvana's whole *thing* for werewolves at the very least be rooted in 'I married a human and he left me. Over my dead body is that happening to my daughter.' Instead of outright (fictional werewolf) fetishization.

It would've made a far more dramatic reveal that Aph is half werewolf. Kinda a metaphor about how children, while they love their parents, will never fully know them.

It could've added world building on werewolf and mei'fwa discrimination. If you spin it like Sylvana as a single mother struggled with finding a job, often times rejected due to being a werewolf, she chose to start hiding her ears and tail, leaving that box blank, even moving towns to ensure nobody knew she wasn't human. As time went on she forgot what her ears and tail even looked like.

It adds layers to her and Aphmau's talk before Aph turned. Picture this, a mother who had to pretend to be human, and a daughter who chose to not be.

The possible implication that the reason Slyvana didn't like Aaron was because she could sense he was the ultima. And the lore implications that could bring.

Bro you absolutely cooked in the tags. Werewolves are a horror concept and they’re creatures where they lose their humanity and are an active threat against society as a whole, especially with how the previous anon mentioned werewolves mirroring the civil rights movement (with the wolves being rejected from a restaurant) BUT they’re an active threat and the werewolves incredibly dangerous (the wolves being banned because they were too violent and were threatening customer safety)

Racism doesn’t make sense, it’s nonsensical. No human is objectively superior than one another due to our racial background, nobody has some special traits that makes them the supreme race. To make werewolves inherently dangerous and superior is justifying the racism and the prejudice.

And last anon, genuinely no disrespect but Mei’fwa are 100% discriminated against. Being fetishized for your race (Aphmau asking Kai to go nya), being called ‘easy going’ cus of your race, that’s all still micro aggressions. Racism doesn’t have to be violent or “derogatory” (aka people calling you slurs), stuff like the model minority myth exists and “positive” stereotypes.

My biggest issue is Jesson is trying to have their cake and eat it too. Jessica wants her hot husband self insert to be a sexy werewolf, she wants the story to oogle at the hot sexy misunderstood werewolf boys cus werewolves are her fetish (<— no shade to that, more power to you), she wants to make silly cutesy dog puns with Yip cus heehee puppy

… BUT she also decided to make them a discriminated minority within MCD and Mystreet who are treated poorly by the humans. Thats why we have shit such as Sylvana having a race fetish (my soul fucking died typing that, I want to return to the world where I didn’t knew that), that’s why we have Aphmau being racist to Kai, that’s why we have so many micro aggressions casually written into the story towards werewolves and mei’fwa

Also… Werewolves supremacists… oh my fucking god why would you do this if they’re supposed to be an oppressed minority who are supposed to be unfairly treated against. This shit is a right wing talking point on how ‘tHe cOLoUrEd pEoPLe wAnT tO bEcOMe tHe MajOrItY!!!’. It’s one of the many pitfalls people fall into when they’re tackling racism in their stories when they don’t really understand the nuances of it nor do they understand the biases they have.

CRACK APHMAU AU:

Okay imagine this, Aphmau, but instead of going to Phoenix Drop High she goes to Okhasis Prep. She goes in to take the entrance exam for Okhasis Prep and it's surprisingly easy (Zack payed off the school board bcs he made bank off working with the Ro'meaves so he's loaded and even though he's absentee he pays a shit ton of child support to Sylvana and the mystery woman he cheated on her with)

So she passes and she's accepted into the school after being in a Montessori school (primary/elementary) and then a private school (Junior High/Middle School). So she gets there and who does she meet? Liochant, who immediately takes her under his wing and teaches her all about the school and where to find things. He's also a sub in mentor so he's able to walk around with Aphmau and fill her in about all the clubs and social events that will happen just in case she wants to join a club or go to a pep rally.

After she gets a grasp on the school, she walks around the gym (It's like in PDH when there are a bunch of booths set up for clubs and stuff) and overhears that the soccer team is going to be holding tryouts in 3 months because their previous captain graduated and so did like half the players and the captain never set up a reserve team. She pulls out her notepad because I say so and this is my AU so what I say goes and I decide that she has a notepad with her at all times and she scribbles down that she should remember that.

Then she hears distant screaming and she looks up to so who? THE DAEMOS BOYS. She decides to steer clear of them because now one of the 5 boys in the group is now throwing fireballs and she's weirded out. She goes to her homeroom class after the club social lets out and she's one of the first people there thanks to Liochant showing her where everything is. She pulls out her phone and starts texting her online friend on it (I HATE AARON WITH EVER FIBER OF MY BEING HE WILL BE ERASED FROM THIS AU SOONER OR LATER. HE WILL ANSWER FOR HIS CRIMES🤬)

Then Noi sits down next to her and even though she said she wouldn't ever approach even one of those five boys Noi's just so sweet she can't not talk to him when he starts asking her about herself with stars in his eyes. Basically they're best friends by the end of the class and he offers to introduce her to his friends and she says "No thx haha they scare me..!!" and bolts off to the exit so she can walk home because if it's just Noi it's fine but she doesn't associate with crazy people so the rest of his friend group is off limits.

She's walking and she sees GARROTH AND LAURANCE ON THE OTHER SIDEWALK. She glanced over at them and they look over the Garroth trips over his own feet idc and he falls flat on his face. Aphmau turns her head and looks forward in second hand embarrassment while Laurance tries to help Garroth up off the concrete.

So I just re-read this and it's so bad and so unlike what I usually do it's almost embarrassing. But I'm committed and kind of sleep deprived rn so I'm probably going to fixate on this for a fat minute 🤭

My many opinions on Aphmau roleplay. From a person who's only watched mystreet and my inner demons. And some other stray videos here and there. These are all mys hcs.

1. Numero uno first and foremost Aphmau and Aaron are Not dating. They are besties instead. Aphmau is aromantic. Aaron is much too repressed.

2. Zana for the win ‼️ Forever and always. The one and only t4t couple. They're both cringe losers together. Nana poisons people for fun and Zane supports her fully.

3. Zianna and Sylvana hooked up when they were younger. There's still some tension but over they're just friends nowadays. Old woman yaoi ftw

4. Ein's still a freak but I envision him a freak/pos. He is wildly unethical and he is my chewtoy. Has a weird thing going on with Aaron.

5. Lucinda sometimes helps Nana out with her caffee. They have special bewitched cupcake promotions.

6. Speaking of Lucinda, she's down bad for Melissa.

7. Werewolf gang manages to find Aaron after college again and they move a couple houses down in the neighborhood. They are all roommates and they couldn't be happier. Juniper is also there.

8. Teony and Ivy had a toxic yuri situation back in the day.

9. Garroth is smarter than he lets on.

10. Travis I love you. That's the whole head canon.

11. Laurance and Lucinda fucked one time but they're like. Chill about it.

12. Katelyn is butch. There is no other way for her to exist.

Mystreet Irene Rewrite, bite-sized:

Aphmau is born as half of Irene's soul. Irene split her soul in half so Aphmau could have the life she always wanted.

As a result, Mystreet! Aphmau wants NOTHING to do with magic. Or fighting. Or anything that makes her feel like she has the world on her shoulders.

Sylvana signs her up for karate. She gets kicked out on her third lesson. Sylvana gets her magick classes. She blows up a lab. She hates the mention of Irene and the Divine Warriors. She almost failed English class because she refused to do her mythology unit because it was pretty much entirely based on Irene.

She chooses a simple life with a simple house with simple days because it's what she's always wanted.

Until she finds out Aaron is an Ultlma. It makes things a bit more complicated, after.

Terrible bit aside here's a list of MYS characters who i think are trans in some way;

KC- I don't think I have to explain it because it's extremly popular among a lot of people, but KC definitely a hyper-fem trans woman trying to relive her childhood she never got as a young girl.

Laurence- trans man, no one dyes and cuts their hair like that and isn't trans, you can't convince me otherwise.

Emmalyn- trans woman, soft core lady, library ass aesthetic and she rocks the fuck out of it.

Kenmur- trans man, I've said it before, I'll say it again; dude has so much T-Boy swag it's unbearable. It's why they could only have him in one episode, it was too much swag.

Katelyn- demiflux, goes by he/she/they and loves masculine terms, but also uses femanine terms still and likes both, dresses more femanine but physically appears more masculine.

Travis- this is a neopronouns user (/pos). Don't ask what his gender is, even he doesn't know.

Zane- nonbinary he/they, very much a "i don't owe you andrgeny" person when someone tells them they look to masculine to be nonbinary.

Vylad- trans man, definitely had one of those "uwu soft, space trans boy" phases in middle school

Daniel- trans man, I have no reasoning, he just is, because I say so.

Kim- trans girl, definitely one who never corrected people when they misgendered her when she was younger because of her anxiety, but she does now.

Ein- trans man. I can't explain it, he just is (IN MY REWRITE PERCEPTION OF HIM, FUCK CANON EIN HE SUCKS)

Sylvana- nonbinary, didn't really know what it was until Aphmau told her about it and then had a "oh..I..kinda feel like that?" moment. Still uses femanine terms most times (ie. Lady, Ma'am, mother, ect.)

Eric- trans man, he just has t-man energy.

Garte- transman, another one I have no explination for, just hear me out-

Ziana- trans woman, was part of an all trans girls idol group back in highschool.

Derek- trans man, again, I can't explain it, he just is.

Aphmau was born and raised in Phoenix Drop, with both of her parents being pretty young when they had her. Sylvana Shalashaska, her mother, married Zack Scarletta, her father, straight out of high school, however this marriage barely lasted two years, with Zack cheating on Sylvana with another woman when Aphmau was still a toddler. Zack gave up all parental rights, settling instead for child support and alimony payments. After Zack abandoned the family, Sylvana became extremely overprotective of Aphmau to the point where her behavior was incredibly overbearing and controlling. Sylvana raised Aphmau alone until she was in the seventh grade, when she would marry Eric Fire-Fist, giving Aphmau a stepfather and two stepsiblings: Katelyn and Kasey Fire-Fist. Aphmau never cared for Eric’s attempt to play a father figure in her life, keeping her distance as she didn’t want to deal with yet another man entering and then leaving her life. She did however bond with Katelyn and Kasey, Katelyn especially.

During her first two years in high school, Aphmau would do extremely well, having plenty of friends and doing well academically; however, as time went on, her mother’s controlling behavior got worse and worse, getting to the point where Aphmau was basically forbidden from leaving the house if Katelyn wasn’t with her, as her mother feared Aphmau “getting involved” with boys her age. This toxic, controlling mentality led to Aphmau’s social life falling apart and built up a lot of resentment between the two. 

During the summer between her graduating high school and entering her freshman year of college, Aphmau picked up a waitressing job at a local diner to help pay for incoming college expenses. She continued to live at home with her mom and step-dad as it was a lot cheaper than paying for an apartment or a dorm until she met Aaron through work. The two hit it off well, with Aphmau making sure Aaron was paid his fair in tips while Aaron would drive Aphmau home when Katelyn wasn’t able to. The two’s friendly relationship was going steady, and while Sylvana was still prickly about everything, things were fine. That was, until Sylvana found out about Aaron - she and Aphmau would get into a MAJOR fight, basically driving Aphmau out of the house during the summer between her junior and senior year. 

Aphmau moved in with Aaron following the fight, going low contact with her mother for a few months while she finished up her senior year of college. After graduating, Aphmau would get back into frequent contact with her mom, and the two seemed to being getting along decently well for the time being. That was, until, while living with Aaron, the two became an official couple, which Sylvana hated. There was an obvious tension about the situation, but Aphmau ignored it, and it wasn’t addressed until Aaron proposed, wherein yet again, a MASSIVE fight would happen between Aphmau and her mom. That, with the addition of Aaron’s sister getting back into contact with, postponed any wedding plans while the couple deals with the migraines that are their families.
