Hello, I was wondering if you had some advice for us:
We used to have a lot, lot more alters, most of which were fragments and some of which were fully fleshed, however it seems like in the last year or so we have gone through a complete and total system restructuring of how we function, member count is only like as far as I can tell at least under 20 instead, we definitely feel more median than we used to and we share a lot of traits in common with some individual traits unique to each person. A couple things have stayed the same though- the host (me now, sorry we don't want to name any of us) is always in front and never able to leave, and we continue to definitely still be disordered the same way with memory issues, dissociation etc. Is this ..something that happens? We have dealt with a significant amount of change and stress in the last year that might have contributed to this as well. Also, we've been wanting to reset our pluralkit because of this but I'm feeling guilty because what if everyone who disappeared randomly comes back and gets upset with us? It's been a lot to wrestle with because it's very different, at least we have *slightly* better communication lol
Hiya! To answer your main question, absolutely!! Systems can and often do change, and sometimes they can experience drastic changes! This can happen for a wide variety of reasons, and we really think it will vary from system to system as to how and why these changes occur! For example, stress, big life changes, trauma, healing progress, system discovery, and finding safety are all things that might cause a system’s structure to change. It really does depend on the system and their unique, personal situations! >w<
Now, when it comes to feeling guilty about wanting to update your pluralkit… we do have a suggestion for you!
Could you possibly take a screenshot of your current pluralkit information and setup, then go ahead and make changes to reflect your system as y’all are now? That way, you have a record of how your system used to look, and you can always change it back if you need to in the future! But you can still update your pluralkit to match your system with its current alters! We think it’s better to help, accommodate, and work with the alters and fragments you have access to now... If any other alters or fragments resurface, y’all can regroup and reorganize your pluralkit when that time comes! :3
Ahh good luck to y’all with whatever comes for your system in this new chapter of your lives! Please don’t feel too bad for changing your tools to more accurately reflect your system as it currently is. We promise, change is normal and common for systems of all sorts!! And if any of your previous alters do resurface, it would be better to explain the situation and go from there than to make your current alters work with out-of-date information in the off chance that your dormant alters return.
Gosh, we hope this makes sense!! Get in touch with us if you need any clarification here :33 and thanks for reaching out! >w<

hii! uh, what is system restructuring and how do you know if it's happening to you? from the name we think it might be happening, everything feels weird and fuzzy and someone else is holding the distress but i'm still really worried. we don't even have someone distress holding job
(sorry for weird grammar at end, comforts)
We don't actually know what that means either, and we're also not sure how you would tell if it's happening if it is what we think it means since we haven't had that experience, sorry. Can anyone else help anon?

it’s so sad and disgusting how a good majority of people don’t stand for anything and think everything that happens to a person is their fault. like if you got abused that’s on you for not standing up to your abuser. if you become a victim of police brutality that’s your fault for not complying. if you’re poor that’s on you for not choosing a better job. if you’re a woman and you become a victim of male violence that’s on you for not recognizing the signs. if your boss is abusive well it’s on you for not quitting. like fuck.. nothing ever changes and everything is your fault. how can people live like that

once again fantasy high is pointing out flaws in the american school system. a prioritization of practicality over pursuit of happiness. wealth being a barrier to many the "higher" the education. home struggles and outside school accomplishments meaning nothing to most teachers and staff. from the preview of next ep, the idea that every thing you are a part of in school is your top priority, and you do not deserve fun.
d20 has tackled capitalism, religion, pollution, a mix of the three. and now for the fucked up, rigged against any who are not white wealthy boys, archaic and outdated system that is school (not just in the US)

only just now found out about pluralpedia and now I'm suddenly finding all these fucking terms and shit for what we are and what people do and it's...annoying that it took so god damn long to find something like that but also such a massive relief to know that like...oh that's what we are! that's what this person does! that's what this experience is called! and all that shit

I'm not the only one bothered by Strange New Worlds' portrayal of the Gorn, so I come with a proposed solution: we haven't actually seen any Gorn yet in Strange New Worlds.
We see Gorn ships in "Memento Mori", but only any 'Gorn' in "All Those Who Wander". However, I say that, maybe, the 'Gorn' from "All Those Who Wander" actually aren't Gorn, but rather the Gorn equivalent of dogs or targs: nonsapient animal pets.
The aliens in "All Those Who Wander" are quadrupedal, whereas all other portrayals of the Gorn have shown them as bipedal. Now, it isn't impossible that a species would switch from one to the other over the course of its lifecycle, but it's rather unlikely, given the many structural changes that come with bipedalism. The whole parasite method of reproduction also contradicts earlier canon from Into Darkness, according to Memory Alpha, wherein the Gorn give live birth. Additionally, the aliens are hyper-violent and any given 'litter' only has one survivor as they fight for dominance - behavior that would be highly counterproductive to any species coordinated and cooperative enough to achieve space travel.

Been having a serious debate with myself lately on whether to change the name of the Infraflux setting to “March Earth”, like, officially in all texts referring to it.
Pros: March Earth is the name for the world as a whole. Infraflux is the name of the huge supercountry that covers a lot of it. Having the term “Infraflux” be used both for the setting and the country within that setting leads to confusion and me having to constantly clarify which I mean. Changing it all to “March Earth” is more correct and would avoid that issue.
Cons: It’s been called “Infraflux” since forever and it’s what anyone who knows about it is familiar with. “Infraflux” also just sounds cooler than “March Earth” in my opinion. If you want to get super technical, “March Earth” as the name for the world as a whole is ALSO incorrect: the actual inhabitants don’t usually say “march* Earth” they just say “Earth”, it’s only an important distinction to make for an outside observer like myself or the people reading about it.
so yeah, bluh :/
still mulling things over and I can’t decide if I should change it or not..
*(”march” is an in-universe term to describe any version of something that exists post-Cataclysm, which is the big bad event that messed up the whole world. E.g.: “March London” is the London that currently exists in 2400-whatever, versus “London” which is the pre-Cataclysm version we know today. People actually living there only make this distinction when it’s relevant to what they’re talking about)

I’m gonna be honest no amount of heartfelt storytelling got me over the fact that the guild system in pmd fucking sucks. The whole time I was like Torchic this is a scam. Torchic our labor is being exploited. Torchic. Listen to me. We need to seize the means of production. Wigglytuff and Chatot aren’t our friends. They’re our bosses that are stealing our hard-earned wages while they sit around eating Perfect Apples. Torchic. This is basically indentured servitude Torchic. Please read the works of Karl Shinx and Friedrich Wingull. Torchi—

okay I need to forcibly tear myself out of this art funk (who am I kidding, it's a general life funk) and actually make myself start posting things again. I think I'm going to set up a dedicated art blog for my original stuff - I'll still use this blog to post my work, but the sideblog will only have my art rb'd to it. makes for nice n easy organization or something like that.
the problem is, I...have not been good about posting my art here. at all. so I need to figure out how far in my backlog to actually start posting from. so uh, partially out of indecision and partially to see how many people actually actively follow this blog I'm gonna use a poll
