T.R.N.K. was revived but came back wrong, and perhaps he knew it and the knowledge drove him to turn on his fellow Toppats
Henry was revived but came back wrong, being a shell of his former self, but whether he knew it or not he didn't care, all he cared about was getting revenge on his killer
The Right Hand Man is the opposite of the "came back wrong" trope, he just was like "yeah fuck Henry and all but also I have lasers and rocket legs I can live with this 🔥🔥🔥"

At this point, I'm just juggling AU's like a circus act. Anyways, Infinite Life AU time: These have been typed out over several days about the Infinite Life AU, since I never truly stopped thinking about it. It got long, so it’s under a read more. I’ll never organize these, but I still have the info written down, which is a lot of progress for me.
-Although it is possible for anyone affected by the curse to rejoin the Toppat's, as it doesn't take the curse away, it is a high risk of any of them being spotted of a previous leader. Namely, Wilford due to his body not digressing back that much. He still looks exactly like his portrait.
-There is a certain song that the currently leader could sing in a state of calling. No leader has figured it out yet. Reynaldo was the closest to finding this song out, by pure accident. Jaques continues to search for it.
-Terrence and Billy G. actually found each other and stuck around. Billy G. helps Terrence with everyday things (like buttoning his shirt correctly) and Terrence, since he stays generally happy during his age of 19, helps Billy G. find a bit of pure enjoyment in things by himself.
-Although Randy doesn’t remember anything about the clan, he feels compelled to be around the clan once he’s first around it. His mind doesn’t know, but his body does.
-The only person Dusty recognizes is Cloudface, but upon seeing how many leaders there are after him, he feels incredibly bad about taking the curse upon them (this includes Jaques in the portrait)
-Terrence is the first person to realize Jaques is in the portrait and actively communicates with him. Jaques is forever grateful.
-Reynaldo refuses to take his mask off for any reason, in front of people. Doesn’t matter if he’s bleeding behind it, he physically can’t take it off of himself in front of others. It’ll either be forced off (causing a panic attack) or he’ll need to be sedated for however long his face is uncovered
-T.R.N.K can’t fully talk, since he was a failed experiment, but he can at least say enough word good enough for someone to understand. He can’t feel agitated either. He can still feel angry, and when he does, run.
-Jaques can create magic outside of his portrait, but it’s either not seen, very faintly, or similar to a ghost. Five-Eyes can constantly see Jaques’ form outside of the portrait (he claims it’s a dragon, nine times out of ten, big or small)
-Sir Wilford IV, although he looks perfectly healthy and okay, can NOT handle hearing sexy romance. It physically repulses him. He figured this out through Reynaldo commenting on Jaques dragon form, saying “Damn, that’s one sexy motherfucker right there.” Wilford almost immediately gagged and felt sick.
--He felt bad about gagging, since it not only made everyone confused/disgusted with his gag, but also made Billy G. feel sick. That was not his intention or intentional, he profusely apologized for about an hour to Billy G. and Reynaldo
-There is a surprising amount of sympathy for the former leaders, whether they physically or emotionally disabled. Many of the Toppat members are willing to help them out with everyday things. There are a few that hold grudges (mainly to Terrence) and won’t help, but there is someone nearby that helps in their place.
-Once the former leaders all rejoin the Toppat clan, they are given a special badge on their previous top hats, this symbol being the form of wings of either black or white. Black for the lighter colored top hats (like Jaques’) and white for the lighter colors (like Dusty’s). They are given a new rank, called ‘The Guardians’, rather than just being called former or ex leaders.
-Once the former leaders join the clan, there is a few things that Dusty lists down as what should happen for the leadership, to try and stagger the curse to a stop and outlive the curse barer. These rules are given to the Toppat leaders and are never to be gone against.
-Dusty and Cloudface still go by these nicknames rather than their first names. Cloudface because he literally can’t say it (gave up voice), and Dusty because he likes the nostalgic feel of Dusty.
-The Toppat members get nothing but joy watching the older members learn about new technology
-Dusty is flexible as fuck, and will use it to his advantage.
-Randy still feels like he’s missing something, part of his memories being unlocked through looking at his own portrait. But, seeing those, he figured he was okay without the rest of them and never actively searches for them
--The other part of his memories are unlocked through reading his own biography as a leader, which even though suggested to him, he never does it out of partially forgetting and partially not caring who he was before, as he felt like he was a better person now than before.
-Jaques is the only person, ghostly dragon form or not, that Reynaldo feels safe taking his mask off for. Jaques has used this to his advantage to heal up any cuts on Reynaldo’s face that the medics couldn’t due to his panic.
-Jaques also uses his magic mostly within the medic center and within the space station the most. He has used it outside, but it drains him of energy if he gets too far outside.
-Terrence can be found napping in the weirdest places, but they’re almost always intentional for him to sleep there. The top of the fridge is a common place, so is underneath Reginald’s table.
-Reginald doesn’t mind the former leaders being around, as the helpful ones do take a load or two away from him.
--The helpful ones being Dusty, Wilford, Reynaldo (sometimes), and Randy.
-T.R.N.K., as odd as it is, helps in trying to break the curse along with Cloudface. They both find it a relaxing experience to sit in peace and quiet and read for hours.
--People genuinely got concerned when they were nowhere to be found, only for someone to motion to the library and- boom, asleep in chairs with notes sprawled around them and books marked in multiple places.
-After someone goes to the being, they cannot remember their time with it. They can’t recall it’s face or what it even is. Well.. Almost no one. Randy would be able to, Randy is more of a key than anything.

I don't know if this question has been asked before but... In your Au, how did each Toppat leader died?
AH! EEAAASSSY!!!
Dusty and Cloudface died peacefully of old age!
Tumblr media
Reynaldo died in a raid and he got shot in the head!
Tumblr media
Jaques was LITERALLY dragged into Hell by some demons after accidentally doing a dangerous voodoo potion he failed on!
Tumblr media
Randy was beaten and crushed to death by TRNK going rogue by being injected by some mysterious magical liquid 👀
Tumblr media
Billy G shot TRNK and saved the clan!
Tumblr media
Billy G died of a heart attack a few years later!
Tumblr media
Sir Wilford was shot by the evil Terrence Suave!
Tumblr media
Terrence was shot off the balcony and into the ocean by Reginald using Terry’s own golden gun!
Tumblr media
IN THE FUTURE…… Reginald and RHM will die of old age peacefully in each other’s arms!
Tumblr media
And there ya go! :D

More humans meeting stick creatures, but this time it's a whole hoard of leaders bombarding a human Right and Reg. And of course Amiller is there because she's cute and she needs to be there.
I didn't include Dusty and Cloudface, BUT I imagine they'll be on their way soon.
I call this AU Leaders by the Dozen, mostly because all the Toppat leaders, even from the past, start popping up on human Reg's doorstep and now he has to take care of them, despite how sticky of fingers they have 😂

Dusty floated over and hugged a very happy Randy, while Sir Wilford IV looked around. T.R.N.K. was nervous, staying back from the others.

Hello hello! Favorite Toppat Leader headcanons? :)
Oooh, lemme think...
RHM and Sven both lack right hands of their own, but for completely different reasons. RHM feels that he is The Right Hand Man first and foremost (much of it is denial about losing Reginald), and as such having a right hand of his own doesn't feel right to him, even if he does think them a fit successor. Sven feels that no one is competent enough to be worth promoting to such a position.
The only reason Terrence ran for more than a year is because of his charisma. It wasn't until near the end of his run that more than just a couple of people connected the several recent misfortunes with his reckless behavior. The incident being a failed raid that resulted in Reginald, Terrence's Right Hand Man, being arrested and Terrence not noticing until after leaving.
The Airship era of Toppat leaders (from T.R.N.K. to present*) is notable for its incredibly brief leaderships, all of which have run for a maximum of 5 years. (*The present leader as of the end of CtM varies, as does their runtime as leader. However, all of the possible leaders except for Ellie have at least one timeline in which they lose leadership.)
The orbital station plan was originally drafted by Reginald in his free time during Wilford's era, with details being worked out during his own leadership.
Speaking of the orbital station plan, getting his Right Hand Man to agree to the idea was... a hassle. He liked life on the Airship just fine, and he HATES having his routine messed with. That said, he knew how important it was to Reginald, so he made sure the plan was followed through even with Reginald gone.
And now for some random statistics!
Most recent Toppat Leader order is Jaques, Dusty, Cloudface, Randy, Reynaldo, 3 unknown leaders after that, followed by T.R.N.K., Billy G., Wilford, Terrence, and then Reginald (+ whoever came after). However, these are not the only leaders; there are multiple leaders from before Jaques' era, indicated by the brief glimpses we get of the Toppat Gallery showing some black and white portraits.
Dusty is the second longest-running leader, being appointed at a fresh 27 years old and running until he died at 109 years old (running for 82 years total). The longest-running leader is Jaques, who ran for 214 years before being trapped in a painting portal for the rest of eternity.
The record for shortest leadership goes to T.R.N.K., who only ran for a mere 4 days before turning on the scientists who revived him. (Second shortest goes to Terrence, who ran for just under 2 years.)
The youngest leader is Reginald, first becoming leader at only 21 years old (which is the youngest a Toppat can become leader, as enforced by the early Toppat leaders). Yes, this has impacted his mental state.
Reginald ran the Toppat Clan for about 2-3 years before Henry showed up. Yes, this does mean that as of ItA Reginald is only 24 (probably ~26 by CtM. There is not a single person who has met him after his being appointed leader who HASN'T been surprised to learn how young he is.

I have made T.R.N.K. and honestly really proud of how he looks!
Tumblr media
[Text in image transcribed: 'T.R.N.K.' at the top. Bullet points read '-Gave violence', '-Gained memory', '-Actually loves looks, but loves fabric'. Beside weapon, it reads 'Mace. -Not actually used as a weapon -Spikes are conductive'.]
Check out the tag 'infinite life au' for more about this! Read below for T.R.N.K.:
...
No! No no no! That wasn't how it was supposed to be!
He wasn't supposed to lash out, what was wrong with him?!
A little tantrum, T.R.N.K. was met with the being, confused and frustrated, he was presented with his options.
His outlooks or his violence.
T.R.N.K. had to calm down enough to consider. One sense, he would look normal but be violent.. Violence was what got him here in the first place..
Opting for violence, he wanted to be free and have some what of a life.
In return, he got his old memories of his older life, and was brought back.
Not one time did he regret it, but he definitely clicks on the news to figure out how well the Toppat clan doing.

This AU now has a blog because…..I feel like the tumblr people would like it!
THE BIG STICKIN’ MASTERPOST
FAQ:
Q. What is Crown of Roses?
A. Crown of Roses is my Henry Stickmin AU- its story is told through comics that I post on different social media platforms! As for the synopsis…
The Aquatic Division of the Toppat Clan and most of its inhabitants have blown up in a sudden and unexplained "accident", leaving Ellie Rose- one of the few survivors- to be transferred to the airship division, home of Chief Terrence Suave himself. But Suave isn't all he seems to be, and Ellie has taken it upon herself to overthrow him- accompanied by her two new friends, Reginald and "Lefty". But Suave has eyes everywhere... and everyone has a secret to hide.
This prequel-fic comic is named an AU mostly for minor inconsistencies (The way Sven talks about the airship implies that he was part of a different division, whereas in this he's part of the airship, for example), but I hope you can enjoy it nonetheless! It is heavily inspired by a side game that never saw the light of day (though funnily enough I came up with the basic idea before hearing about this!)
Q. May I make fanart of your AU?
A. Fanart / fan content for this AU is always allowed! And you can of course ship whoever you want (within reason, which should go without saying :P), and if you draw it I’d love to see the fanart ;) even if it isn’t a canon ship! And as long as it’s sfw I’ll reblog any fanart I get! My only request is that you tag me in it ^v^
Q. How old are the characters? / It’s weird to ship Reginald and Ellie.
A. Some character ages are changed in this AU! Not to an insane degree- no child-to-adults or adult-to-minors….and most of the ages aren’t confirmed in-game anyways, so I guess it’s not definitely changing? But still, there have been some changes! For now, here’s what I’ll say for ages (they are subject to change, and are mostly to show the basic differences between character ages!)
Carol is 22. Ellie and Sven are 23. Reginald and Burt are 24. Lefty is 30. Terrence Suave is in his 40s.
And yes, Copperrose is a weird ship :) the weirdness of it was actually what inspired me to make an overly-angsty-crack AU….which eventually turned into a story that I’m proud to say seems to be beloved by quite a few people!
Q. Any disclaimers I should know for this blog / AU?
A. This blog DOES contain fictional gore, violence, suicide, alcoholism, references abuse, manipulation….etc. Viewer discretion advised! However, it does NOT contain swearing (only slightly coarse language) or sexual topics (at most there are references to an affair and a joke or two at Reginald’s expense regarding his nonexistent love life)
Q. Do you accept asks?
A. Yes! Send me asks about the story (I may give spoilers ;)), characters, headcanons, etc…) or if you send an ask aimed at any of the AU’s characters, I may respond with a drawing! In fact, PLEASE SEND ME ASKS. PLEASE. I HAVE NO LIFE. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT BEING CRINGE I SHIP COPPERROSE WHICH IS MEGA CRINGE WE DON’T JUDGE HERE.
Q. Where can I read this story?
A. See below!
Q. Will you feature my OC?
A. I have hosted contests in the past where the reward is to have an OC featured in either the background or as a minor character in the project! You’re always free to ask, but unless you win a contest offering it there are no guarantees!
WHERE CAN I READ THIS STORY?

So I was wonderin, do all the Toppat leaders (past and present) have some sort of power? If so, what are they?
OOOOH! OHOHOHOHO!!! *claps and rubs hands together evilly* >:D
Each Toppat Leader in my Captured Charles AU has a amulet with the color that represents them and holds all their power! When a Toppat Leader gets elected to be the new chief they need to choose their next right hand! Someone to help them with the extra work, someone they can count on, someone to protect them, someone to continue the Toppat Leadership! Then the chosen must be put through a “special” ceremony where a magical amulet with the color that represents them appears out of no where containing the Toppat Leaders powers/abilities!
Amulets pros and cons:
Pros:
The amulet only works if the Toppat Leader that it belongs to is around
It’s the source of a Toppat Leaders powers and energy that even still works after death
If you wear the amulet around your neck it puts you on fire (with the color your chosen with) protecting you from COMMON enemies! (Unless it’s another Toppat Leader)
Every amulet has ONE secret special power that not even other Toppat Leaders know about each other….
Cons:
If the amulet of the Toppat Leader is stolen the powers of the Leader will NOT work anymore since the Leader cannot sense his amulet anymore
The minute you become a Toppat Leader you will have to accept your fate of being trapped for eternity (there’s always a catch when your doing something evil and in power)
IF the amulet is BROKEN it immediately sends the Toppat Leader into their painting prison (aka Hell) and stay stuck forever BUT as punishment for BREAKING something so precious and valuable the “friends” from the other side (and even for a brief moment the other Toppat Leaders) will KILL you even if your a ghost you will actually be permanently dead in your painting forever! With great power comes great responsibility DO NOT BREAK IT!! *hint* *hint*
Each secret special power of the Toppat Leader:
Dusty’s amulet: Power to summon unlimited waves and waves of spiders eating you alive
Cloudface’s amulet: Power to convert you into stone
Reynaldo’s amulet: Power to turn you into dust with a single blow
Jaques’s amulet: Power to summon demon spirits
Randy’s amulet: Power to remove curses
T.R.N.K’s amulet: Power to melt you alive
Billy G.’s amulet: Power to make the victim run out of air
Sir Wilford’s amulet: Power to mimic the powers of what others have (at a time)
Terrence’s amulet: Power to contain and absorb your soul
Reginald’s amulet: Power to wish for anything they want
(Note: Remember the other Toppat Leaders don’t know about this one special power the amulets hold of each others. Only their own…)
Now here’s what EACH Toppat Leader’s powers are:
Dusty: Cast spells, have fangs like spiders have, can spit venom, can have four eyes (for better eye sight) and four arms (to climb faster), can breathe light purple fire along with sharp claws.
Cloudface: Has telekinesis, can blow out fog to temporarily blind the person, has sharp claws if he feels threatened, can disappear into thin air, can growl really loudly, can breathe brown fire along with sharp claws.
Reynaldo the Brute: Can blow smoke, can teleport, cast spells, shoots fire out of his eyes, has telekinesis can breathe silver fire along with sharp claws.
Jaques Kensington: Cast spells, telekinesis, can curse people, has “friends” from the “other side”, can breathe dark blue fire along with sharp claws.
Randy Radman: Has voodoo magic, has voodoo doll “friends” has shadow “friends” (that look like Randy), can curse people, can hypnotize people by taking off his shades or singing a catchy song, can breathe pink fire along with sharp claws.
T.R.N.K: Super strength, can cause an earthquake, can summon thunder if he claps his hands hard enough, can breathe light blue fire along with sharp claws.
Billy G: Telekinesis, can hypnotize people by dancing, can shoot lasers out of his eyes, can blend easily like an iguana, can breathe blue greenish fire along with sharp claws.
Sir Wilford IV: Is incredibly smart, blows smoke, can growl loudly, incredibly strong, cast spells, telekinesis, can breathe dark greenish fire along with sharp claws.
Terrence Suave: Can hypnotize people by using his suave and charm on people or look into his eyes, has VERY a sharp teeth 24/7, can spit venom, strike fear in others if you stare at him long enough (it gives the victim a panic attack), incredibly fast and strong, can suck your blood, cast spells, hisses very loudly, can breathe yellow fire along with sharp claws.
Reginald Copperbottom: Can summon a purple fire sword, has sharp teeth when threatened, incredibly smart, knows how to combat, cast spells, very strong, can growl very loudly, can breathe purple fire along with sharp claws.
And finally…. All Toppat Leaders have a HUGE FINAL form… a mixture of a certain animal with monster like features if their life is on the LINE but I mean when they are seriously in danger…
Keep in mind that their final forms are a mixture of a certain DANGEROUS animal along with mythical/ monster like appearances 👀
Dusty’s final form: Spider like monster
Cloudface’s final form: Bear like monster
Reynaldo the Brute’s final form: Scorpion like monster
Jaques Kensington’s final form: Komodo Dragon type monster
Randy Radman’s final form: Spotted Hyena type monster
T.R.N.K’s final form: Gorilla type monster
Billy G’s final form: Iguana like monster
Sir Wilford’s final form: Wolf like monster
Terrence Suave’s final form: A Eyelash viper snake monster
Reginald Copperbottom’s final form: Cheetah like monster
Keep in mind their final forms are going to be triple the size of a average human being
Those are the Toppat Leaders powers in my story of Captured Charles AU! If your interested in seeing what their final forms look like in drawing you can ask me any time and I’ll show you! Thanks for reading! :)

Bonus:
TRNK: You... look like ... her.
Cris: Who?
TRNK: ...Someone small... Like you
-----//
TRNK lost his memory after so many tests to revive him, they messed with his head a lot. With that and the addition of a large amount of electricity... It becomes very unstable.
Apparently someone didn't rest in peace after death
I like to think of him as Frankenstein. And that even though this happened to him, deep down in his head, he's still human.

Ok Here's a Giant Reginald Ramble
If no one else wants to over-analyze the funny nyeh man with the banana stache then I will. I've talked on and on about this on discord because I actually Roleplay as Reggie on the regular, so I've talked about how I characterize him a LOT.
The following is a collection of random headcanons in an attempt to keep them in chronological order, along with some screenshots and images to back up where these ideas come from, take em with a grain of salt ^^
Inspired to ramble by @the-irken-pony so I hope you have fun reading this
Alright, lets get this thing started.
-------------
Chapter 1: Pre-Leadership
Reginald joins the Toppat Clan around when Wilford the Fourth is either high up in command or the leader himself. Wilford stacks the hats of clan members he's defeated on his own, is a no-nonsense leader and leads a very respectable era of the clan's history. Reginald IDOLIZES Wilford, so that when he takes over the clan, he starts stacking hats too, specifically Terrence's to use as a trophy for his victory, once he's in charge.
This is a no-brainer, but Reginald HATES Terrence. Where Wilford was a strong, guiding hand that lead the clan to greatness, Terrence leads the clan into ruin.
Tumblr media
The fact that it's canon that the leader that came right before Reginald is specifically stated to be the worst Toppat Leader EVER, compared to candidates like T.R.N.K who went on a rampage instead of actually leading and Randy Radman who bankrupted the clan after partying too hard, it means that Terrence's lust for cheep thrills got SO MANY TOPPATS arrested or killed in one leadership, it probably scarred Reginald for life.
Now Reginald IS a coward. He never fights anyone directly and would rather have other people fight his battles for him. Namely, RHM. Perhaps even Wilford the Fourth before Reginald met his Right Hand Man. So, how does he stand a chance against someone who keeps doing these kinds of terrible things and making it out alive where so many other toppats suffer?
He plays dirty.
He rallies the entire clan against Terrence using his greatest weapon, his mind. And one way or another, Reginald ends up throwing Terrence off the airship to his doom, and Reginald takes his hat as a trophy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sound Familiar?
It's how the Toppat Civil Warfare path starts, with Henry in Terrence's place. Called out by Reginald very publicly after Ellie gives him an opening. Funny how the Toppats specifically have an area to make traitors and prisoners walk the plank, eh?
Even in the betrayed, Reginald is clearly no stranger to throwing people off the ship. Dangling Henry over the abyss, you get the impression that this isn't the first time Reginald has done something like this. He can't fight for himself, but when it matters, he'll finish what's been started.
Although...
If this grey hat with the gradient split is Reginald's original hat...
Tumblr media
He takes the one he stole from Terrence and puts it on....
Ohhhh now we get into the real subtle machinations of Reginald's mind here. Now, this is exclusive to the Rapidly Promoted Executive branch of timelines, but it's really the most in-depth path for Reginald. We don't see him much in the other branch he's able to appear, Pure Blooded Thief that defines how he works outside being a smug bastard on the outside.
Chapter 2: Henry Ruins his Life
To be fair, Henry also gets a hat in Toppat Recruits, but this hat is custom made and tailored TO Henry. Henry gets a proper initiation ceremony and earns his hat in TR alongside Ellie. Reginald doesn't have any major issues with Henry aside the ruby thing, so he doesn't need to act against Henry in this timeline.
All four of the RPE timelines on the other hand...
Anyone who was in the clan during Terrence's leadership and survived it should KNOW that particular black hat. What Reginald has done here, in the most subtle way possible, is WARNED everyone about Henry being a terrible leader. That black hat is a red flag in the eyes of everyone that recognizes it: Henry is an outsider and is not to be trusted.
And it's not like Henry knows that's what that hat means. He just got put in charge of the Toppats and got a pretty sweet new hat too. Yay!
Reginald doesn't see Henry in charge of the Toppats. He sees Terrence Suave 2.0, coming to undo all of his hard work. And it's a LOT of hard work on Reginald's part.
Reginald took a clan that was in shambles from Terrence's cheep and reckless raids, erased any trace of the Toppats on government records around the world to the point where they're desperate for evidence on the clan and brought it back to the great heights he always wanted. Henry threatens all of that.
"I just wanted to look you in the eyes as I took it all back," is a really telling quote. Because it's true. Henry had taken everything from Reginald in RPE. Leadership, status, respect, his clan, his significant other. Henry tore a path through the ship with RHM as part of the carnage and left nothing for Reginald behind. Even in the entire RPE end card, you can see how blank and unhappy his subtle, neutral expression is.
He wants Henry gone. But some of the junior clan members are starting to like his style of leadership, like Thomas and Geoffrey. So if he's going to make Henry disappear, he's gotta make it subtle, like...
Chapter 3: Get Someone Else to Do It
"What is this?"
"I found potential asset."
"Henry Stickmin. Why does he belong here?"
"He was arrested for breaking into a bank."
"We already have very many thieves in here."
"Yes, but he also escaped from prison. He is also the one responsible for the disappearance of the Tunisian Diamond."
"I did hear about that."
"There's more. You know the Toppat Clan."
"Of course."
"Apparently he had some sort of incident with them as well."
"What do you mean by incident?"
"There are conflicting reports."
-Fleeing the Complex Trailer.
-----------
This is more of a personal headcanon than anything, but I solidly believe that Reginald sold (RPE) Henry out to the Wall in an effort to get rid of him.
There are confirmed undercover Toppat spies in the Wall Staff like Wallace Pemberton, who have been undercover for at least 3 years. So, Reginald is well aware of the Wall and its reputation for not being broken out of for 50 years. It would just take a bit of passing hands to get files on Henry from the Airship to the Wall in order to make Henry disappear.
This is further backed up by how surprised Reginald is to see Henry in every single RPE branch the moment Henry returns.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Funny how it sounds like he wasn't expecting Henry to come back, huh?
Of course, this leaves us with Reginald's most character defining moment: when he throws Henry off the ship in The Betrayed. In this timeline, Reginald is well aware Henry is trying to escape and come back to the clan well before he's actually succeeded yet.
Prime opportunity to silence him for good.
After all, Reginald doesn't know Henry. He only knows that history is going to repeat itself all over again if he doesn't get rid of Terrence Suave 2.0 all over again. His own pride blinds him to who Henry is compared to the man Reginald sees him as.
A lot of paths Henry takes define his character, like Ghost Inmate timeline Henries being selfish, or Pure Blooded Thief Henries being greedy. Betrayed Henry TRUSTED the Toppats enough to call them for help, so it could be implied he would have been a good leader to them had Reginald given him a chance, just like in Toppat King.
But, being it Pride or Misconception, Reginald only sees someone who would bring him back to the worst time in his life all over again, and he lets him fall instead. Because Henry took everything from him, and Reginald will do anything to make sure it can't be taken again.
Chapter 4: Complete the Mission
Okay, so for a moment lets put ourselves in Reginald's shoes for a moment as the four timelines in Completing the Mission for RPE come to a head.
You lost EVERYTHING. You gave everything you owned to the guy who shoved your husband off a bridge. They're still cleaning his remains out of the engine while you wait for a miracle worker to bring the one thing you had left back to life.
You also just witnessed him betray the people who sent him to attack you in the first place. You don't know this man, you don't know his loyalty lies, if he even has any. Your only impressions are that of a reckless bastard who took everything from you and nearly killed your husband.
And then you went and put him in charge of your family out of desperation.

TCW: You knew it.
You knew Henry was a traitorous bastard with no loyalty with anyone but himself. You might just recruit this Ellie character on the spot for finally giving you your opening.
You've had this planned out for weeks. Every word of undignified, dishonourable rot Henry had left the clan with ever since he took over. He only cares about himself, and soon enough you've gathered an entire rally. You even get to carry this out with some dignity, and you've solidified yourself as this clan's true leader.
He's not worthy of being our leader, he was never worthy. And Ellie had just given you cold, hard proof. So, your rally moves to throw the imposter overboard.
But, not without your prized trophy. That hat is a symbol of your victory over Terrence, and it would be your symbol of victory over Henry as well.
Except your arm gets grabbed as you reach for your prize, and as you fall you begin to wonder if this was really for the clan, or just for yourself.

TK:
This was an unexpected turn of events. Down on the ground, and with no one left to turn to, you beg the only other person in the room to do something!
And he does do something. He saves your life. You're at such a loss for words you can barely speak, watching the helicopter fall and explode on the ground just inches behind the other. He risked his life to save you. The evidence was at your feet in the form of dead soldiers.
The Rocket is Launching in 4 Minutes
Damn it all, you don't have time to ponder this. You need to get to the rocket before launch. Though you grab a pair of binoculars as you leave the control tower and hitch a ride with some of the members. You're intrigued now.
And your intrigue soon grows to gratitude. You watch from the loading bay as Henry moves to assist your Right Hand, your beloved husband. You see them defy the odds and work as a team to save each other. You can only mutter out the word "wow" as your mind moves a mile a minute. Had you misjudged Henry?
Finally, the ally he had brought with him unannounced helps get everyone up the rocket just in the nick of time. Well, everyone except the man that made this all possible in the midst of the chaos caused by the raid.
You could have shut the door as soon as Ellie and Right left. You could have dropped him and no one would know. You makes this clear to him as he dangles by the arm, at your mercy.
But, he is one of your own. He's just as much a Toppat as your are. He's earned his place, and your respect.
You pull him up.

T4L:
You thought Henry was dead. You heard it in all the news reports. Captured Toppat Leader dead. Fell off a cliff into the snow never to be seen again. You almost wish your hand was a part of that fate. You would have loved to look the smug bastard in the eye before he fell.
But clearly you don't have to worry anymore, as he was apparently alive, riding a tank up to the rocket base with the stupidest, smug grin on his face.
What's he doing here, alive, in a tank no less? Where did he even get it? He tosses you something, and it's barking orders.
"Repeat, Toppat Raid has been aborted, fall back!" A gruff voice calls from the walkie-talkie.
He protected the clan. Everything Henry could have done. Run, hid, just come back to them unannounced. But he went and stopped an entire planned raid that You didn't even know about. By Himself.
Ok. So maybe you misjudged him. Things might turn out okay under his leadership. Even if he is more of a lone wolf rather than a team player.
You put off your plans to dethrone him. If he can garner this much respect, while doing all these crazy things by himself and coming out fine, you can find it in yourself to put up with him until his own reckless solo missions do himself in.

Betrayed/ R:
Finally.
You were alone. No one was around to save him. He dangled helplessly in your grip, looking so relieved you caught him. But no one was watching. This was probably the most easily staged accident you'd ever made. You wanted to see him squirm.
He took everything from you. Now, you were going to take it all back. The look in his eyes is something you've been dreaming of since you started plotting. The utter despair, the look of betrayal on his face is everything you wanted it to be.
Finally you can rid yourself of this parasite that has been plauging your clan for good. They will never have to suffer under a foolish leader again.
You let him go.
-
He lived.
Everything you planned for and he ended up surviving the fall. Damn it, damn everything, damn it all to HELL. He should have known that salty cybernetic surgeon would find some way to get back at him after making her do that surgery at gun point.
You weren't just gonna let your beloved right hand die that day, can you blame yourself for that?
Still, you know that your no match for Henry. You hardly were before, you're the brains of the duo you and your right hand made, hardly a fighter. And the cybernetics didn't help that prospect.
Right takes the fight outside, while you can only silently hope the best for him. You know he won't go down as easily the second time. You know he wants you out of the line of fire, but you can't help feeling anxious. Last time he left you to fight Henry alone he nearly died.
A loud explosion overhead, and scorching heat. Alarms are blaring, your airship is loosing altitude. There's a high chance your going to crash. You can only hope Right made it out okay with his upgrades.
Your hopes are dashed when Henry drops into the cockpit with his own weapons at the ready. It's a sickening thought, but the only logical conclusion is that Right didn't survive this time.
Still, in a rush of adrenaline, you draw your pistol and attempt to fire. Henry grabs your arm and points the gun back at your own head. You're at his mercy now.
He staples you to the wall. Smug bastard even when he's pissed huh? You hate the stupid grin on his face. Though, you do what you do best when he turns his back. You shoot him in the spine.
Like hell you're letting him walk away from this. You'll take him with you for Right's sake. The explosion hits. You're quickly loosing consciousness. Everything you loved is up in flames. Your husband is dead and you're hanging from your own grave. You're sure the impact punctured a lung, it's hard to breath with the smoke.
But you still have enough life in you to ask the million dollar question.
Was it worth it?
It wasn't entirely directed at Henry, but you take that thought to your grave
