Spiderband groupchat headcanons but it's based off my bio siblings and friends who're teenagers that i also consider my younger siblings because Y'all Do Not Know How To Write Teens

Miles already had a groupchat app that she used for her family but the rest of the band except Gayatri had to install them-Gwen and Miles G DID have one but she took it off because she only ever used it with 65 Peter and she had multiple meltdowns looking through their messages so she forced herself to out of mental safety and he smashed his phone in agonized sadness after finding out about Jefferson so all the data on it was lost

Gayatri has an additional old one she uses for school friends since she's so popular and dosen't want to fuck up and accidentally send Spiderwoman stuff to them

The layout of it has a notebook theme and is popular among black people thanks to it containing various exclusive black stickers and emojis and that's why Miles and Margo both use it

Hobie's a bit of a grandpa when it comes to technology because of being from the 70s and not having been at Spider Society for that long so he had a hard time communicating in it at first,not helped by his cockney

Peni is reverse where she considers it slighty obselete thanks to her futuristic world but in a charming shaking her head 'This old thing' way(Just like she does with Noir /hj)

Their icons are:Miles-a black/blasian edit of Orihime Inoue,Gwen-A random picture of a half eaten pink cupcake she took,Peni-A lesbian flag meme,Pavitr-Bugs Bunny,Hobie-A black/blasian edit of Ichigo Kurosaki to match Miles(They are LITERALLY black4black Ichihime),Gayatri-Bugs Bunny but in one of her fem outfits,Margo-Nessa from Pokemon with a pink filter and Miles G-A cartoony drawing of a black kid with braids

They use it almost every day and night-It actually messed up a few of their sleep schedules but they fixed them again when it started going too far by reminding the other to go to sleep because they love them and deserve good health

Gwen sends them her audio files,either as gifts by covering their favorite songs or just to try out how a new song sounds

Pavitr violently falls over from so much bouncing with his phone getting the brunt of it SO many times but it's somehow always completely intact despite having no special protection

It's where Miles came out to them after her egg cracked but she did because they were all sitting together physically so she'd have them there to comfort them as she sobbed in a big flurry of different emotions

The other girls then start sending her transfem memes on a regular basis and Miles G is actually the one who made her her Orihime pfp

They tried to have movie nights but the collective audhd proved to be too much so they just have normal ones

It's incredibly active and a mixed ass bag,one second they be talking about Spiderjunk,the next someone's venting to the point you can feel them shaking through their texts and then they're discussing the history of legos

Peni's the one who most uses it in class and had a special mini comic where she got it back from her principal and didn't learned her lesson at the end

Since Miles uses kamojis,Margo is a gifs addict

They learned a lot about eachother cultures,more than ever

Selfies sending is a pretty regular thing

Miles G was more hesitant to start using his app again than Gwen since his was actually the same but he prowlered through and now it's a healthy and stable part of his life

Gayatri looks for wholesome videos to show all of them

"MARGO,GIVE ME YOUR PHONE"-Hobie at least twice a day

Gwen and Margo are an e-couple in the sense that they act exactly like girlfriends in it but are in denial irl

Hobie randomly infodumps in it once he gets the hang of it and takes up Miles' kamoji usage but only the smug/bitchy ones

Their usernames are mostly just their names but with a special twist to give them personality-Miles is her name with a sunflower next to it,Pavitr has a sparkles emoji and Miles G has his in that edgy font.But Margo is 'Margo Thee Byte',Gayatri is 'The Ungwen' as a reference to 'The Undead' and for irony,Hobie is 'What are you?A cop?',Peni is 'Pastel Genesis Evangelion' and Gwen is just an assortment of pink emojis

Rio:Mija?Are you texting a boy? Miles,texting Hobie:Technically yes but also literally no

Margo gets them to be on her streams and Miles ends up making her own channel and her fans nearly broke her comments section when Hobie made his first apperance(Tragic day for weird ass Miles fanboys)

Gwen and Peni start rubbing off on eachother,like Peni starting to love her kind of music and Gwen starting to get blunter

Pavitr is the most slang knowledgable and this is thanks to Gayatri-He surpassed the best there is

Miles and Hobie did the 'At Dairy Queen with my Dairy King' meme once but the picture wasn't them at Dairy Queen,it was them chilling with mutated cows they'd saved and they didn't even get the food at Dairy Queen,Hobie cooked them copies because fuck capitalism

Headcanons on the Spiderband's favorite foods

I'm really sorry for not doing the full cast like i did with my other posts like this,the thought of having to do that many characters for this is too much for me even though i want to :( But i hope you like this anyway!!

Miles:Gonna project and say that despite being carribean,his favorite kind of latino food is actually mexican and his tops are loaded nachos and mexican hot chocolate.Other than that she's a BIG sweet tooth,especially strawberries!Gotta be one of her favorite gender's /lh.Naturally Hobie asks Rio to teach him how to cook all her faves

Gwen:Since i headcanon her as a black/white mixed dominican(projection part 2),her's are pechurina with fries,dulces de leche and huelitas.For drinks,she favors energy ones and the Spiderband have to physically force her to cut down on them for her own good

Hobie:Indian kinds of tea specifically,shortbread fingers,janga and brazillian pizzas.Yeah i'm serious on that last one,his autistic ass thinks they're gourmet meals

Pavitr:The especially spicy kinds chicken and cupcakes but refuses to eat the latter in 'white people flavors'

Margo:Junk food,fast food,desserts.She calls Gwen a menace as an in denial flirting tactic(also her ultimate favorite flavor fullstop in anything is cotton candy)

Peni:Okomomiyaki,dorayaki,sweet kinds of onigiri,pez and chili fries.Large love for large drinks

Miles G:To contrast Miles and because i must can and will make everything about my familial selfships,his is dominican and his tops are mangu with everything(so salami,onions AND eggs)and flan.He also hates ensure because one time they were almost all he'd eat for so long he didn't taste anything but the chocolate version for a week(and he dosen't even like that one)

Gayatri:Falalel because i headcanon as a (nonhijabi)indian muslim specifically and she also loves green tea,motichoor laddoo and shares Miles' love for strawberries

The fact that Hobie is the token dude in my Atsv rewrite is so funny.For context,i'm a trans girl Miles truther and i think it would've been an improved story if Pavitr was a red herring and Gayatri was Spiderwoman but only got bitten in the film itself to strengthen the 'canon events are bullshit' message and Peni and Margo are mcs so that makes it Mirasol,her best friend who cracked her egg by being a trans girl too,that best friend's girlfriend who was her lesbian awakening because she came out so young she never had a chance to crush on anyone before her,another transbian but one who can't function around cute girls so she just focuses on her platonic female friends instead and her boyfriend that she refuses to admit is her boyfriend because ew,cute boy(/ref).Hobie says 'Hey,babygirl?' and the entire Spiderband turns around

I'm gonna post my full Atsv rewrite in a few hours but first i wanna let out my rage at canon for making Gwen and Margo 'rivals' over Miles.They had literally no reason to hate eachother and literally every reason TO like eachother-Gwen wasn't open to The Mary Janes about her feelings because they were ordinary humans but Margo's a Spiderperson like her so she would trust her over that,Margo's got a difficult home life like Gwen does,Gwen was a gamer girl in the comics and nothing's said she's not here too,they have a similar fashion sense and as far as we saw they're the only Spidergirls who're both 16/15 so that alone should've been enough for them to stick close to eachother

We could've gotten refs to the Spiderman video games from them chatting,Gwen could've gushed about how happy she is to finally be understood by another girl her age(her transfemininity/Margo's blackness and how it makes them different from girls who're both white and cis and like eachother in important ways)to Miles in that one scene instead of Hobie being used as jealousy device,we would've gotten Margo being included in the Gwen and Hobie friendship because you canNOT tell me her and Hobie wouldn't have been tight as fuck if she was given proper screentime and a bunch of sweet scenes of the girls having eachother's back and Margo teasing Gwen for being a lil cringey white girl as a callback to her meeting Jefferson and Rio

This would've fixed the ONE problem i have with Gwen's writing and it's her treatment of Margo and the whole reason it's a problem is that it dosen't even make sense!And neither did Miles seeing Hobie as a romantic rival when mans was flirting with HIM more than he did Gwen!Who asked for this?Me and the other black women who have Gwen as their Spiderverse fave didn't,black women who have Margo as their Spiderverse fave did even less and i've never met a single Hobie and/or Miles stan who didn't think it was absolute ass!!!!Booooooo radioactive tomato tomato‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅

Punkflower and Ghostbyte in my head are the other way around of the way fandoms usually potray m/f or m/m ships that are commonly duo'd with f/f ships(No that first one's not me writing something wrong,Miles is a girl to me never as a joke but in the transfem sense).Punk prince charming and his gf who he gives the princess treatment and have basically no problems in their relathionship even pre-getting together VS Toxic Spider Yuri where the toxicity comes purely from a small misunderstanding on first meeting that escalated into full blown beefy rivalry that lasts ages but coupled with shonen level gay subtext.Gwen and Margo bicker with insults that are somehow also compliments while Hobie and Miles just peacefully(and nonsexually)make out in the background.Hobie calls Miles babygirl(affectionate)and Margo calls Gwen babygirl(derogatory).Hobie and Miles feed eachother at lunch time and Gwen forces Margo to eat her nasty ass food combos and calls her a coward if she refuses.Edgy bf who's actually a huge softie x Pastel gf who got him to be obsessed with Animal Crossing and have a sweet tooth and Alt gf who seems super cool but is actually a geek ass nerd x Nerd gf who's actually cool and roasts her but gets pissed if anyone else does.'I got top surgery,touch my scars!!!' 'You look so handsome!!!' and 'You forgot take your estrogen today,dumbass,so here' 'Yeah,yeah,gimme-i'm YOUR dumbass so i win'.Etc etc

ANOTHER PUNKFLOWER/GHOSTBYTE AU

miles/gwen is turned into a bird as a curse from Miguel (because he’s a dick) and the only way to break the curse is a kiss from their soulmate. Hobie/Margo see this cute lil’ finch on their windowsill holding out a flower for them and for fun, give them a tiny little kiss on their cheek. Miles/Gwen automatically transform back into their true selves (and fall off the window sill on their back). Fluff and relationship building ensue

Meows is Miausol('Miau' is the spanish word for meow but you probs already knew that)

Her loved ones give her 'the princess treatment' because life's been harder on her than regular Miles thanks to the transmisogyny she's faced(generally from society but also got picked on at school for being super femme and percieved as a cis boy)

Jefferson and Rio were super supportive!!!Happily payed for stuff,gave her validation,etc.There was the occasional fumble but they were so apologetic over them Mirasol found it funny instead of hurtful

Her voice is kinda angrogynous but with a girly edge(projection time)

Definitely dyes her hair!!But not completely,she does the down the middle thing(I wanna say red or pink?)

Chubby by Atsv and only gets more fat as the years pass which causes her insecurities and sometimes dysphoria but her friends and family help her feel better and she reassures herself she's gorgeous FOR it,not INSPITE of it!
