it’s filled with biphobia, lesbiphobia, and transphobia

most people who say they’re ‘bi lesbians’ just think that lesbianism is this soft cottagecore aesthetic that they want to be a part of, and that bisexuality isn’t ‘aesthetically pleasing’ to them. This makes them identify as bi lesbians so they can use the lesbian label as some kind of pretty moodboard on their tumblr blog when it’s a valid sexuality that deserves to be respected

They also don’t treat or see bisexuality as its own sexuality, as if having gender preferences or not makes people les or more bi.

I really don’t understand why people get so mad and butthurt when someone says “i hate men”

when someone (mostly women) say this, they usually mean that they hate the atrocities that most men have built up. They hate how men have created this system where it’s a lose-lose situation, where you’ll always get the short end of the stick whether you like it or not

meanwhile when people say they hate women…just look at the news

I think a lot of people forget that women are still an oppressed minority, like we have every right to complain about men when we live in a patriarchal society. There isn't a woman alive who doesn't experience misogyny, no matter how privileged she is.

Oppressed people don't owe it to their oppressors to be nice and coddling when we speak about them. Men are not born misogynists, these behaviors are taught and rewarded by our society, and if you're offended by us complaining about that, maybe you need to look at your behavior and think about why that is.

miles/gwen is turned into a bird as a curse from Miguel (because he’s a dick) and the only way to break the curse is a kiss from their soulmate. Hobie/Margo see this cute lil’ finch on their windowsill holding out a flower for them and for fun, give them a tiny little kiss on their cheek. Miles/Gwen automatically transform back into their true selves (and fall off the window sill on their back). Fluff and relationship building ensue

Not even mentioning the fact all the sources I've seen them use have either been wrong and taken out of context (that 'dykes to watch out for' panel they love) or willfully ignoring why it existed at the time (such as before bisexuals created their own label and were erased under the lesbian label, because they weren't lesbians).

Even if they had a viable source of "proof", using that from 30-50 years ago, while ignoring all the lesbians and bisexuals today who are telling them why they're wrong and causing harm, is not the win they seem to think it is.
