Appearance: Taafeite is a long legged gem with a pink and black coloration with short and straight hair and pink eyes. They wear the standard uniform consisting of a black top, opera gloves, shorts, tie, and heels. They wear a white undershirt and belt with a gold buckle.

When it was warmer outside, they changed to a summer uniform.

Personality: Taafiete is a gem who was pretty outgoing and friendly. They loved hanging out with their partner Sulfur and always seemed to have a genuinely happy outlook on life. They fought Lunarians with a smile on their face. They love to hang out with their fellow gems and always treat their companions with utmost respect and kindness.

History: Taafeite was created before Rubellite was born and was among the gems to still be active during their own creation. Taafeite is partnered with the energetic Sulfur, whom despite Sulfur having a hardness of just 2; Taafeite never discriminated them for it.

In Houseki no Kuni / Land of the Lustrous Canon: Taafeite would eventually be shattered before Phos's time. Afterwards they would become Lunarian and be prayed away.

⭐Taafeite⭐

Fact file:

Taafeite is a fusion of the only two confirmed existing half-Gems, Steven Universe (bearing a pink diamond) and Jean Maverick (bearing a chalcedony gemstone).

Taafeite uses they/them pronouns!

They have three legs, and two distinct faces, one on either side of the head. Their hair is parted into pigtails that frame the sides of their faces.

While Taafeite is stable, only one face is active at a time, and which face this is can switch at a moment’s notice, even in the middle of a sentence. Which face happens to be active when they’re stable has nothing to do with either of their components “driving” the fusion, mind you... it’s simply a unique quirk of Taafeite as an individual being!

HOWEVER, when Taafeite is unstable, both faces can be active at once, which signals that their consciousness is about to unravel and they’re about to unfuse.

Their neck has full articulation. It can spin 360 degrees.

Their weapon is... a literal pizza cutter, combined from Steven’s shield and Jean’s staff.

The reason they appear so Gem-like in form despite consisting of two half-organic beings is that Jean and Steven's Gem ancestry is the strongest thread connecting them, and it's what they relate to each other about most.

Taafeite often goes by “Taaf” for short, pronounced the same as the beginning of “taffy.”

HI when you are in the mood for SU, what would the job and powers of Taafeite be like?

I already had a Taaffeite, so thought I'll add her here too. (along with her old version for the info). Gave her a slight redraw because I took inspiration from @/artifiziell 's Poudretteite and I don't think that's neat.

Since she's a very very rare and important gem, I thought she would be in leader charge for important events involving the Diamonds. She has a very powerful voice. Literally. You could see them in the air, touching them doesn't hurt unless she screams at you. She can't crack you but she can throw you away.

She still has her Crystal children but I don't touch what is not broken.

Appearance: Sulfur is a tall bright yellow gem with spikey, thigh lengthed hair and bright yellow eyes. They wear the standard uniform consisting of a black top, shorts, tie, thigh high stockings, and heels. They wear a white undershirt and belt with a golden buckle.

They wear a summer uniform when it gets warm outside.

Personality: Sulfur is a very happy gem, they are very energetic and get excited very easily. They love when new events come around, so they can participate. Sulfur doesn't mind their low hardness, and takes it with quite a pride. Because of how easy it is to get along with Sulfur, they are pretty desired as a partner, even though they already have a partner with Taafeite, whom they believe is one of the only gems who can stand them for a long period of time.

History: Sulfur was created before Rubellite, but stayed active after the latter gem's own creation.

Sulfur is a unique gem, having a very low hardness of just 2, Sensei was reluctant to allow Sulfur on the battlefield. However, Sulfur demonstrated that they had incredible speed, and came with very unique abilities such as creating a strong acidic substance from their body that didn't affect gems, but sent Lunarians away.

Because of their unique ability, Sensei had no choice but to make Sulfur into a fighter with Taafeite as their assigned partner.

She is a rebel tourmaline who would poof other rebel gems and hide them in her gem, they stole a hijacked a ship and flew off to another planet, they have amazing leadership skills and very good at protecting themselves
