#hate acknowledging that ppl are right abt simply leaving the house helping ur mental health #today's the best i've felt in like. god knows how long #and literally its just bc i left my house nd followed my plan of getting a free hot choco #grabbing some quick stuff from the asian market #and getting my nails done #there was nothing special #in fact the shopping nd hot choco part was quite anxiety inducing #id never been tothe hot choco place; had a hard time finding it; and then had a very typical for me Blind As Fuck moment going into the #cafe and being utterly confused #nearly wiped out bc there were stairs up (couldn't see them)#couldnt figure out where the register was to order #nearly crashed through half the cafe tables (couldnt see them & couldnt find the path)#when i DID figure out where the register was there were more stairs down for me to Almost fall down #(could! not! see! them!) thank god for railings.? banisters? whatever #also then i was confused abt the counter. DEADASS could not figure out where the person was who greeted me for like a full min and a half #then couldnt figure out which side of the counter to pay on for a sec #played it off as tho i was looking at the menu lmao #in reality i was just getting hot coco bc i had a coupon to get it free #fuckin ridiculous actually to realize how utterly incompetent i am in new places #esp going into somewhere dim from bright snowy outside.... not good for my eyes bro #anyway i made it through and the asian market was easier but crowded w/ narrow aisles #but yea for w/e reason all that nd getting my nails done resulted in me feeling GREAT in a way i havent felt in ages #long story short: go outside even if its absolutely fucking freezing and snowing

I've been wanting to make my own set of tarot cards for a while now but wasn't sure how. I found out that my local metaphysical shop sells blank decks (!!) so I'm finally starting to design them! It's going to take a while, of course, but I'm enjoying just kinda going on instincts instead of exhausting myself by overthinking a theme I may or may not want to stick with by the time I'm done sketching and start painting them.

#i have a whole system for how to pick which cards to work on #i shuffled my (currently only) deck & wrote them down in the order i drew them in #& im picking which card to work on via random dot org's number...randomizer #that way i can 1) work on it anytime without needing access to any deck (physical or digital)#and 2) prevent direct inspiration from my current deck by drawing a card from it right before sketching #randomized tables my beloved #im working on alphabet oracle 'stones' too. gonna see how the air dry clay holds up #coriander says #hellenic pagan #hellenic polytheism #helpol #my art #tarot #tarot design #pagans of tumblr #i'm working on the hanged man next. not sure whether ill go all out for the minor arcana too or just use their symbols #it'll depend on how im feeling when i get one of those cards ig #maybe i'll assign them a color scheme i associate w/ the themes of each suit & adjust it based on the Vibes (tm) of each individual card #i'd use dice to randomize them but. alas. i dont have a 78-sided die #image id in alt text

#like you. clearly. can afford it #they were assholes in general too just . ughsgh #one of them had a ‘service dog’ (doubtful) and because of that NEEDED to sit at a table on the other side of the room meant for FOUR PEOPLE #we were very busy today I should note. but I had one table over there that technically was free for another 2.5 hours so I #begrudgingly sat them at the FOUR PERSON TABLE they so desperately needed #and apparently she complained about the oysters and they ordered a 300 dollar bottle of wine (hence the 400+ bill)#and yeah just. how do you do all that and then not tip at all #that should be illegal. anyway.#kibumblabs
