I love this so much. Of fucking course Cable's BFG has two grenade launchers mounted to it. He's got a third launcher strapped to his thigh. The time traveler's gun is pieced together with parts from across multiple decades. The prop department understood the assignment so perfectly.

I've actually not read it yet myself; I do wanna give it a look since a many people seem to love it (seeing as how it's in the top 40 most kudos for Splatoon fics on Ao3), but I should probably finish writing my own story first. I have seen the art for it though, and it looks damn cool. I also know that FalkenJr, the artist in question, has left kudos on HE Act I, which makes me very proud of myself in a weird, admittedly parasocial way.

In all seriousness, I very much respect it. From what I understand - and correct me if I'm wrong because again, I haven't actually read it - Piston24 has done a lot of world building in regards to humanity in PP's universe, which is something that I think is rad as hell and is also something I aim to do with HE. Going by the art alone, PP's version of humanity seemed to go hard into sci-fi military territory - something like a cross between Titanfall and Death Stranding, which is actually just fucking awesome.

All of this is to say that if and when I get the time to spare between working, writing, and running my cursed tabletop game, I'll give it a proper read.
