I love how Taissa was elected senator of new jersey and her first senatorial action was to get in a car crash, put her wife in the hospital, abandon said wife in the hospital, as well as her son, and then hitch hike to a video store and then go join a commune and completely ignore the fact that she is now a senator.

Can we just take a moment and acknowledge how episode 6 shows the depth of Tai and Shaunas friendship. How Tai never leaves her side during her entire labour. When all the other girls shift and come and go, Tai is there not just during but through it, holding her hand. She’s the only who thinks about Shauna first where everyone else is thinking about the baby. Shes the one who tries everything, scientific and spiritual to keep her friend alive. She’s one to hold Shauna through the aftershock as she falls apart.

I know a lot of people would see this as shipping material (and it is) but to me it’s just this affectionate, soul-mate type female friendship we don’t see enough of in media. They way they continually love and support each other even into their adulthood reminds me of my own friends who I love so deeply. Who I feel understand a part of me that no one else does. Just, Shauna and Tai are the most powerful female friendship in media and it’s so beautiful.

Gotta love how the main theme of 2x4 is that the thing in the woods is in charge. Not Lottie. Not Natalie. It punished them both for trying to make it a game and rewarded Tai and Van for taking it seriously.

Lottie is very much not in control. She and Tai are just as lost about their connection to this thing as the other is. Lottie is just using it while Tai is denying it. It’s interesting that Lottie is denying her visions later and even suppressing them with medication while using her skills as a manipulator for the cult instead.

I still think Shauna could be the antler queen. Or Tai.

I will never see what y’all see in regards to Shauna and Jackie. I am a whole lesbian who reads everything as gay and I’m trying to get what y’all are saying, but even reading opinions has me more lost. Shauna seems more resentful of her than anything, and I don’t even remember any flirty instances. Hell, I could picture Shauna MAYBE being into Jackie, but never vice versa. Shauna even pointed out how Jackie didn’t know the real her or wanted to, so that just dulls the idea of her being in love with Shauna even more.

Has no one loved their best friend in a platonic way but also resented them before? I feel people just chalk that up to gay tension, especially since so many queer woman have been in intense friendships with other women when they were younger. But I feel since I never experienced that, I’m a little less biased and can just see it for what it is.

Shauna’s the type of person to have 2 exams in 2 days and focus more on the less important one because Jackie focused on that one more.
