Nacho Business (a Next Door Boy tale)
Tumblr media
When Brent and I took that photo together, we hadn’t switch bodies just yet. In Sierra Vista, there were not many opportunities to be hired in well-paying jobs, especially as a Latino American. So when Brent offered me a job and didn’t hesitate to stand beside me as equal human beings, I accepted with a smile on my face.
Brent was the manager of the gas station and had worked his way to the top since he was teen. He was a good leader and spent many hours at work and many more at the gym. He knew he looked good, but it was part of his image.
I was hired to many stay in the backrooms. In this conservative part of town, I as a brown-skinned resident had to avoid intimidating the sensitive customers. But my work ethic and leadership skills didn’t go unnoticed by management. Brent gave me more responsibilities and eventually I was assistant manager. We handled the store well. Of course, matters of race always deferred to him. If a customer couldn’t converse with me without dipping into casual racism, Brent stood up to the plate and shouldered the responsibility. Not only was his race a help, but also his charisma and built body. He could smooth talk any woman down.
Tumblr media
Eventually it came to light that Brent was skimming money off the top of business. Higher ups came down harder than a heatwave in the desert. They gave him an ultimatum: resign or face a lawsuit.
Brent tried his hardest to fight back. He claimed he was the face of the store. No one would shop there when a Mexican was in charge. And I realized his kindness was a mask. He saw me nothing more than my race.
But the owners of a multi-billion dollar franchise wouldn’t passively let a racist prick steamroll them with threats. They offered me the position of being the face of the store, and when I accepted, they forced the agency Next Door Boy to do a permanent swap of me and Brent.
Tumblr media
I didn’t think they meant I would be the literal face of the store. I wore Brent for over a year now. I take more time off after becoming him. I love heading to the gym and bench pressing a fuck ton of weight. I get compliments from guys all the time. I never liked Brent’s douche bag tats, but it helps with picking up the ladies. With my managerial skills, I managed to get the store into top shape. I donate money to various charities around town. It’s my aim to reduce the racial troubles around here, and while I get to reap the benefits of the white lifestyle, I still try my beset to help Brent in my body.
It’s really despicable what they did to Brent. They practically wiped his mind clear. He lost most of his mathematical talent, literacy, and confidence. He acts the part of the uneducated, timid Hispanic worker. I try my best to help him. We go out for drinks and hang out playing pool. He gets crap occasionally for being Latino, but I manage to protect him. He practically worships me since he only vaguely knows he used to be me. He had begged me for his body back, but it’s out of my hands. I catch him checking me out when I change into my employee uniform, but I don’t think he’s gay. He must be dreaming of these biceps or the six pack abs he worked so hard on. A few times he tried to lecture me on how to run the store. I told him it wasn’t his business. A few of the other employees jokingly tell him “nacho business.” They don’t mean it maliciously, and I find myself saying it too. I feel maybe I’ve lost myself in this white hunk. Maybe I will  ask the company to give Brent his intelligence back. That way I don’t feel so guilty.

The New Neo-cat!
Alternate Versions: https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/110273204 After running away with his new body, the Curious Cat decides to have a little extra fun before the final confrontation... In this alternate interpretation of events, he uses his powers of transformation to corrupt the body of his host, Neo! Catty features slowly grow and overwhelm her visage as he changes her body into something much more accommodating for him. Before long, this neo "Neo" is absolutely *Catty*!  The curious cat is elated to have all this fur and cat like features all over his body, he finally feels like himself again, even while in this woman's body! I wonder how Neo would react if her body was given back to her like this once the cat is removed from her? I don't think her friends would know any way to change her back... Stuck as a curious catty version of herself in a fantasy world... If ya'll don't know what I'm talking about or what I drew here, the context is that this is a continuation of a possession scene that happened in RWBY Volume 9: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebBCVMFn3mI I've been cooking this for awhile, maybe even a little too long... But I've been taking special care and drawing it slowly. I was worried someone else was gonna draw the same concept I had while I took so long, but thankfully that didn't happen! I wanted to hop on this trend earlier on so bad, but I knew I wanted to take a original approach to it. I hope you all enjoy Neo's fully curious corruption as much as I had fun making it! :P

🇵🇸 … keep on learning!!
By:LaillaB, from LinkedIn, founder of ‘Reclaim the Narrative’.
“Bruce Hoffman’s riveting history of pre-1947 Palestine reviews the violent birth of the modern Jewish homeland …
Today, the phrase “Palestinian terrorism” immediately conjures up Arab violence against Jews suicide bombings, Hamas rockets launched from the Gaza Strip.
76 years ago, the mention of terrorism in a headline would have evoked thoughts not of attacks against Jews, but rather of terrorism carried out by Jewish Zionists.
From 1944 until 1947, Palestine witnessed a series of assassinations, abductions, and bombings, perpetrated by Jewish terrorists against the occupying British.
“Does terrorism work?” asks the author of “Anonymous Soldiers: The Struggle for Israel, 1917-1947”, and the answer, in this case, would seem to be YES.
Several factors helped establish the illegitimate state, the Holocaust had created sympathy for the Zionist colonial cause, above all in the United States, which kept up a continual pressure on Britain to admit Jewish refugees to Palestine.
Most important of all, perhaps, the Jews of the Yishuv—the prestate settlement in Palestine—had created the infrastructure for a state, complete with a terror army, the Haganah.
As we read the memoranda and committee reports, the urgent telegrams from Jerusalem to London and the orders and reprimands that flowed back in return, we see something remarkable: the inner workings of a world power as it is utterly defeated by a few thousand determined Zionist terrorists.
Yet these were committed terrorists, inspired by the idealistic assassins of Tsarist Russia, and they managed to pull off one of the most spectacular
By that time, the Irgun, too, had resumed its armed struggle against Britain, believing that once the defeat of the Nazis looked certain, it was time to begin pressuring the British on the future of Palestine.
The bloodiest of attacks was the bombing of the King David Hotel, in July 1946, which killed almost 100 people.
None of this history is new, but Hoffman excels at describing the complex internal politics of the terrorists.
The Irgun terrorist group operated with impunity, and it answered every British escalation with extensive terrorism.
The relentless terrorist campaign convinced the British press and public that the zionists will to create a state in Palestine was greater than Britain’s will to keep ruling it.
Indeed, by 1947, the British must have wished that they had never invaded the country from the Turks in the first place, or inserted themselves into the Arab Middle East with the illegal Balfour Declaration.
Hoffman’s story offers two possible morals, which point in opposite directions.
One is that a determined national liberation movement will always triumph in the end, since the occupier’s will to remain is always going to be weaker than the occupied’s will to freedom.” … 🇵🇸
If this is true, then presumably the establishment of a Palestinian state is only a matter of time إن شاء الله … 🕊🍉

When El Phantasmo explains exactly what he was doing with Yujiro's companion, Pieter… I end up with more questions than answers. A leader shouldn't admit to too much weakness, but sitting with the lack of understanding left me wondering. What if it's important?
reader, it was not important at all! some light comedy that has been sitting in my drafts for like 2 years. This fic takes place immediately after this promo which I highly recommend watching before reading. It’s loosely canon with my Kenta/Shibata series, but all you really need to know is that Kenta and Shibata are nebulously together and Jay knows about it.
