sometimes when i think of the infinights campaign i get so fucking mentally ill and want to cry and scream and shake and draw my feelings and talk to someone. but just because I think about how much fun it must have been to create and be apart of. imagine how much fun they all had while it was going on? oh my.goodness

#karma.talks #jjk manga spoilers #jjk 236 leaks #listen. I was cackling in the work parking lot this morning looking at the server leaks #1. narratively his death would serve nothing for the plot. and the whole fight wouldn't have moved anything forward #2. head ain't cut off. eyes aren't destroyed. shoko and angel literally still on the same continent. body could be healed easy peasy #3. gojo was saying bye to his dead friends instead of them welcoming him? so he could be goin' off to limbo #or have his second enlightenment hit within the next couple chapters to off sukuna once and for all. and get to kenny #and 4. uhh kenny??? he still exists gege. can't have a fight with him paired with anyone else tbh just wouldn't thematically fit #best of both worlds scenario: kids kill sukuna with gojo's resurrection #gojo goes on to fight kenny. kenny dies by the six eyes and/or infinity once and for all and gojo sacrifices the six eyes and/or infinity #so kenny can no longer body swap and will end the tale of his terror. geto comes back into consciousness for a couple more moments #OR his body is at peace once and for all and THEN gojo dies from wounds / overexertion of his cursed energy #OR gojo lives but remains a normal human w/o the six eyes or limitless. and this is bc he cheated death twice and that's the toll #gege make some of this happen or you've given a good side character a nonsensical death (within the scope of the story and character arc)#give it 10 chapters to see where this goes. if he's dead dead that's a fumble of an ending to their fight and a death scene #btw if anyone wants to talk abt this more just DM me I ain't fighting the tag system over more spoilers

Infodumping really is a love language in it's own right.

#sometimes I still think about that one time someone I follow just dropped into my dms and talked about horrid henry for like three hours #honestly if I had found out about the show from any other source I wouldn't have given it even 2 seconds of attention #but hearing someone passionately tell you about how much they care about a piece of media really makes it feel special #it leaves an impression in a mayor way. and now I think about that combo anytime I see something about the show #anyway. getting attached to random media is good #tales of a very sad shipper

along with all the things i'm learning about the other party members, my favorite revelation of the night was learning that celeste's neighbor (basically his grandma) hired fucken. patience to manage his family's estate bc celeste's parents left her in charge of it and celeste never wanted to think about it but it was more than she could handle and patience was just highly recommended and she didn't even know he knew celeste

and celeste finds this out because patience has a file in his office with his name on it and when celeste was like "why do you have a file about me" patience was like "because you're bad with money"

#and celeste couldn't even argue with that #he is terrible with money #he's VERY rich apparently #i don't actually know how much money celeste has #i didn't want to think about it either so i just described his lifestyle and house and left it to the dm #he just knows that whatever bills he has to pay get taken out of his savings whenever they need to be and he doesn't worry about it #now he knows asmodeus is in charge of that which is. amusing #anyway #very good session #had some very sweet moments between celeste and asmo #celeste keeps trying to involve him in his life #and asmodeus is over here like 'celeste i'm literally a deity no i cant come to your neighbors birthday party'#i'll work him around #i have hopes for how their relationship will develop over the campaign #currently asmodeus is at the level of fond of him #celeste is still just an indulgence to him but i think he's growing on him #fel's ttrpgs #dnd: tales from the dancing sea dragon #oc: celeste #the best part of efni hiring patience is that #by now #she absolutely knows who he is #or at the very least knows he's a very powerful fiend #so she knows that an extremely powerful devil is not only dating celeste for some reason she can't fathom #but also has control over his finances #celeste is fine with this he knows asmodeus is better with money than him

We've almost finished Curse of Strahd and things are getting even more stupid and I love it.

Last session I missed the gang eating the creepy goat I had adopted which led to everyone suffering wild hallucinations, then they woke up in some cursed circus with a murderous clown.

That was all the backstory I was given.

It ended with us deciding we quite liked the character our DM was giving us with this clown so after we killed him, we had a very inane chat with him in which we learnt nothing useful, but we did learn how much we adored this goddamn clown so after extensive talks we chopped off his head, and I fashioned him into a balloon-companion by casting levitate on him, gentle repose, and speak with the dead.

Our DM made his head burst as we tried to take him out into the world. The betrayal was real. We lamented for at least 20 minutes. Then spent another ten trying to figure out how we could get him back.

We will get him back. It is the only quest that matters now.

having a bit of a shit day. going to read dnd books abt it.

#my reserved book (adulthood rites) is here and the trilogy anthology of the first Drizzt books are on their way as well #someone in the library has realized someone (me) is getting Louise Erdrich books out. i got out the sentence and returned it #so they put out plague of doves. i got that out and began reading it. they put out the roundhouse (ive already read that one)#and when they recognised i havent taken it they mustve gone for another because today i found the night watchmen!#which is a recent one by her and about her own grandfather #i also found tales from the yawning portal which i wanna go through cos forgotten realms #and baldurs gate descent into avernus which also forgotten realms #i was hoping to get waterdeep dragon heist but they didnt have it :(#they do have dungeon of the mad mage which is the sequel and i will take a look through but i doubt it will be for me #its essentially one giant dungeon crawl and i need a balance of roleplay/exploration/battle in my campaigns. esp as a dm #so i would have to heavily rework it if i wanted to run it. which sucks because im REALLY enjoying the waterdeep dragon heist #campaign arcane arcade did and knowing they wont follow it up with the sequel book because its so grindy is a shame.#god dragon heist is a fantastic adventure its tied for the campaign i want to run the most with icewind dale #i have icewind dale and its fucking AMAZING absolutely would recommend it #i started the arcane arcade campaign of it this morning and i am so jealous that they have the beedle and grimms set #i would fucking KILL for a beedle and grimms box set. look them up theyre sick as hell #like their platinum curse of strahd box? i dont have curse of strahd which makes me wish i had 500 usd to drop on it so bad GOD #anyway shit day with the jack news and i have period pain and chronic pain and took a hard fall walking to the library #but the books are helping me :)
