I almost forgot to upload this here! A personal piece I did last year of my character Umïel arriving at Tanzelwil to convene with the ancestral spirits. The story is set in the Elder Scrolls Universe!

✨ - How did you come up with the OC's name?

tbh i came up with the name for a placeholder magcro on the pts so i could try some things on jackson's build. then i used the last name for my (now former) self-insert arthur, and when i made his cousin i reused the first name too. thus amarie veilleux. i hyphenated her last name to veilleux-caudex later on after deciding that she'd use both of her parents' last names to show off her breton-imperial heritage. (for the sake of consistency and because tumblr hates hyphens in tags, i just use her breton last name when tagging her)

🍀 - What originally inspired the OC?

i wanted a meme tanksorc build and amarie wasn't Supposed to have a backstory. the imperial city stuff started coming together after i decided that she'd be biracial (breton and imperial). considering that the imperial city was at the epicenter of the planemeld, it felt natural to give her a backstory closely related to that.

💀 - Does your OC have any phobias?

the sound of siege weapons being fired are a major trigger for her because the immortal eight were (permanently) killed by an ambush with siege on their garrison, and she was the sole survivor.

🎹 - Do they have any hobbies?

When she's not swamped with work, or taking over house duties from Melar when she's home, she enjoys embroidery and sewing work!

Whether it's mending clothing or doing some crafting, the focus required and the details needed helps focus Kerasil away from other thoughts. Beadwork is a favorite, but that is a hobby that requires her to sit down and be uninterrupted for several hours.

But she enjoys the work, the the look on her daughters faces when they have their clothes fixed with new patterns on them is all the approval she needs.

🍎 - What is the OC’s relationship w/their parents like?

Surprisingly, I don't have any names or ideas for Kerasil's parents. The most I have is that she is the oldest of all her siblings (oh shit, other siblings????!!!), and she was very stubborn and became Captain of the Guard to prove that she could and she WANTED TO DO IT. There is a lot of anger issues that Kerasil has that gets ironed out as she gets a bit older, but most of it was rooted in 'you doubted me, so I did it to prove it otherwise'.

And it's at no fault of the parents (mostly). It could be said that Kerasil's parents are more lackadaisical while Kerasil just grew into a serious personality. And she wasn't getting the kind of feedback needed for her growth and Kerasil twisted herself into something.

THANKFULLY she chills out and talks to them more often now.

🧠 - What do you like most about the OC?

I had answered this already in this post but I'll answer it in a different way!

I like the aesthetic of Kerasil. I have color coordination for almost all my OCs. Kerasil is a very solid dark brown and very natural that I like a lot. The default brown in ESO armor is too light and almost dry looking that I hate, so I always dye it into a nicer brown. While it looks almost like a default outfit, it's just to the left of it and natural looking enough that I enjoy.

Makes me bat my eyes at Kerasil whenever I load up her character to play.

OCs as types of suffering

Good morning! I was tagged by @gwynbleidd and @katsigian in the past couple days to complete this uquiz as my OCs. thanks for tagging me 🫡🧡 I decided to take it as my silly little family from my silly little world because my world is all I'm thinking about lately as far as OC stuff goes….. and honestly I feel like these results gave me even more insight to how my characters operate and how they complement each other. Especially Kilian's result i think shows me a side to his already existing sadness that I hadn't considered enough before; i think a lot about his anger but not as much about his sadness, so this is exciting to explore. It was fun!!
