Moon boys redesign!

Based off an anglerfish, hes smaller than Sun but his tail is thicker making him 7’10 to Suns 8’6

Hes much stronger and is built for the deep ocean dives, Sun and Eclipse can do deep dives but Sun tends to faint if he deep dives when he resurfaces while Eclipse cant stay down there for as long a Moon, Moon can stick around deep depths for about 20hrs before he needs to come back up due to deep sea sickness starting to get to him

His chest is also slightly wider to help with pressure regulation and hes covered in much more bioluminescence to attract for prey in the dark depths, hes essentially the muscle between him and Sun, dont get us wrong sun can leave damage with a good tail wack but Moons heavier thicker tail is sure to leave something broken

He has a hook stuck on his headfin that he refuses to touch because it hurts but he wont admit it does, saying it makes him look cool, Tari does convince him to let her take it out once she gets his trust after a few months at the recovery center they were taken to

This Au is a little different that mythical creatures do exist but their are “civilized” and “wild” groups of each creature, the boys were Wild mers but Sun and Moon were caught and taken to rehabilitation when they saw are malnourished were, Eclipse finds them when their released and find Tari again on their own, Hes slightly older than the 2 and decided to adopt them and they created a small pod together

Ok so time to talk about the new promo image cause OH MY GOD WE SHOULD BE WORRIED

I’m gonna try and explain everything going on here.

First let’s start with Meggy’s wanted poster. These posters have been seen in a lot of promo images lately.

I already pointed out the differences between these posters and the most recent one in the list.

We know the adware from IGBP is back in some way. We also know that Tari is feels something is off on the train. We can assume that something is the adware. What if the adware made a connection to Tari? And what if the adware will possess Tari in the future?

With this piece of promo art we see two Tari’s. One looks off into the distance with a sheepish smile. The other has her back turned. These two Tari’s could represent a possessed Tari (happy and carefree) and the real Tari. (Worried and stressed) We also see a cat. We know Tari helps cats and other animals. What if the adware possesses a cat to lure Tari in? Think about it! The adware (as a cat) lures Tari to a secluded alleyway and boom! It possesses Tari!

This leads me back to the poster. (Hope you didn’t forget about that) The reward is “your freedom” and Meggy is wanted dead. This could mean that Tari has to kill Meggy in order to gain her freedom from the adware.

I know I know… GLITCH would never kill off Meggy. I’m not saying it would end in Meggy’s death. There’s still more to this.

Remember how Tari was missing her Meta Runner arm? What if she loses it in a battle with the adware to save Meggy? Perhaps this battle could be in Tari’s mind while possessed Tari is trying to kill Meggy. (This plays into Meggy’s beanie having a hole in it and the grim reaper card)

There have been these eyes in two promo images so far

These are probably the adware’s eyes.

Now for the mounted duck head. If you take a closer look there’s blood.

Why is there blood? Well unfortunately someone is most likely gonna die. It most likely won’t be Tari because of her redesign. But I’m thinking GLITCH could pull a Terrance again and possibly kill Archibald. This could be motivation for Tari to fight off the adware after it kills Archibald.

What about the static poster? (For those who think it’s a window someone on Twitter took a closer look and it’s a poster) Well we’ve seen static throughout the past few episodes. I’m thinking static is how the adware watches the SMG4 crew.

In “SMG4: Ready to Ride?…” an old fashioned tv is seen on the train throughout the episode. At the end of the episode the tv changes from static to a screen that says “Go to the bottom of the description.” It knows what happened in the episode. It knows we, the viewers, want answers. So it directs us to the description for answers. Except we kinda have more questions than answers with the link in the description.

I’m sure your all aware of the gmod map the link leads to and what’s in the map. I’ll talk about it in another post as this one is already lengthy and I still have one more thing to talk about.

Finally on our list of things to cover we have the missing texture chips. At the moment I don’t know what these are meant to mean. Everything else was clear except this.

I’m gonna keep the summary short. Tari could get possessed by the adware. Archibald might die. Meggy might face of against a possessed Tari. The adware can see everything that’s happening.

So one question remains…

i really need to ramble about a headcanon on smg3 and smg4 that's been on my mind for like. a week. info under the cut :)

smg3 and smg4 have a special ability called "assisted shapeshifting". it's something only they can do and not all meme guardians. with the mere snap of their fingers, they can transform anybody.

note how smg4 has transformed tari into her redesign, and how smg3 transformed boopkins and meggy into their own redesigns. in my AU this is an actual ability that they can do, where they can transform their friends into pretty much anything, not just giving them redesigns. this is especially helpful when smg4's gang is faced with yet another threat, whether it's to them or to the world.

smg3 and smg4 can also do this to themselves, altering their appearances to become whatever they wish. it's literally limitless; both could transform into werewolves or dragons, and can do the same for their friends.

this ability is especially used in the western spaghetti movie, where smg4 helps transform meggy into a werewolf to fight against oneshot wren in the final battle. instead of meggy shooting him in the head, she rather mauls him, making sure his simulation self was dead. smg4 specifically chose this form for her so that she could also tank out the flurry of bullets wren pelted her with.

this may be an overpowered ability to some, but then again, they're meme guardians with abilities such as superhuman strength and being able to breathe in space. meme guardians are considered powerful otherworldly beings to the mushroom kingdom, but not as powerful as, say, melony's deity form. they have their limits.

this ability isn't actually used all that often. smg3 and smg4 save it for dire situations. it's agreed upon that everyone prefers their normal forms.

during the revelations movie, instead of mario being transformed into a giant head of himself, smg3 shapeshifts him into a huge dragon to carry them both out of the god box. due to this, mario also helped fend off eldritch smg0 with his newfound capabilities.

whenever mario uses power-ups, he receives a suit of the respective powerup. smg3 and smg4 can transform him further, e.g. making him into an actual cat when he uses a super bell. this makes him a bigger threat with his power-ups.

fishy boopkins especially loves this ability, always eagerly asking either meme guardian to transform him. boopkins always strives to be useful and powerful and he commonly asks to be transformed into a big, mean-looking shark, or a sea monster. this way, he can contribute to fights.

smg3 likes using this ability on himself just to scare the shit out of smg4 around the castle, such as turning into a dragon and surprising him at the door.

the assisted shapeshifting ability can be permanent if the person wishes it to be. it doesn't wear off after a certain time, nor does it require smg3 and smg4 to have it last somehow.

What do you think of each of the smg4 gang members???

OOOOOOOO THIS IS INTERESTING! I will mainly do the SMG4 Crew one since ya know, SMG4 Crew status, anyway, here's what I think of them!!

SMG4 - He's a very silly fella, I love him, but he is also pretty interesting to analyze him as a character and his personality. Too bad some have missed the point for his character. Hopefully this year they touch on SMG4's development this year since 2023 was SMG3's year. Speaking of SMG3...

SMG3 - He's my favorite character as a whole, I mean, can you blame me? LOOK HOW I DREW HIM!!! /silly. Ok in seriousness, like SMG4, SMG3 is pretty interesting on analyzing him, while also sadden that some misses the point of his character. Those two meme guardians basically needed a character analysis on them since they deserve better to let everyone know that those two are more than you think. The only thing I want for him to get even more develop is that he should interact with the other crew outside of the main three (SMG4, Mayro and Meggy).

Mayro/Mario - Mayro is such a fun character, while also a morally grey type that basically a chaotic neutral package! What else can I say! He's a silly Avatar!

Luigi - I like Luigi! It's nice to see that they are using him more than back then I believe (probably like pre-Arc related stuff if I can remember). Would love to see Luigi and SMG3 would interact since they somewhat have a same interest.

Meggy - Oh boy! I know for the fact that 50/50 of peeps either love her or hate her. I am for the former as I like her addition in the cast when she was new to the cast. The only thing that I have a bit of a gripe from her that I do agree is that she was overutilize than the other girls, which I hope this year they will utilize the other girls than just Meggy, ESPECIALLY Saiko and Melony.

Tari - I love Tari!! I even love her Meta Runner counterpart! Glad she got a development last year, especially Western Spaghetti! Hope they made her appear a bit more, but not as the same level as Meggy. Balance is what I need.

Saiko - She's cool, wish they developed her more, since KS-2 mini arc is more of an upcoming redesign for her, which I am not mad about it, I just wish they utilized her more.

Melony - Same opinion for Saiko, except here's the thing, I want to see her and SMG3 interact more since they're like the only Anti-cast crew that joined SMG4 Crew, and according to SMG3's Sussy Notebook, Three seems to have a mixed feeling to the deity melon goddess, which makes it interesting to me. Also, Father-Daughter dynamic headcanon is one of my favorite headcanon I have seen in SMG4 Fandom.

Bob - It's Bob, what else I can say.

Fishy Boopkin - I don't get why everyone hate this kid, I mean sure his voice can sometimes be a headache, but some kids do can be like that ya know. AND YES! I DID SAY KID SINCE CANONICALLY, BOOPKIN IS A KID! NOT MAD, JUST SAYING

Ok. So. Talked about shelling my OCs in doll form and after discussing with my best friend (who's one of the few people who still knows these characters from when they were made), we put together a plan.

So... Plans.

Kita was easy. He'll be the new shell for my Logan.Dolls Claudia. I adora that sculpt, but the character I made for him kinda never really fit, so it is perfect. He's on the MDF slender body, which isn't ideal (Kita should have more muscles), but it's not too bad either.

Chiriko was also quite easy once I thought about it. My bestie immediately thought of Souldoll Janne from my collection, so I guess, it is another perfect fit, especially since I was gonna sell her anyway. She's gonna go on the Asleep Eidolon body I originally bought for this head to begin with. Body is a bit boyish, but the head looks nice on it, so... for now this will do.

Tenriel will get the Minifee Sylvia together with the Luts body I dyed to match. It's another doll that I really like, but never really did anything with, so it's nice that he will get a new purpose.

Tari will go with Minifee Sircca, who was supposed to be Sylvia's brother, so there already is a resemblance which is perfect for Tenriel's sister. She will go on the Minifee Moe body I already have.

Mali will be the new shell for Josh 1.0, aka Minifee Iru. Will probably stay on the Minifee Motion line body, unless I decide to swap it for the Logan.Dolls boy body I have. (though I like the doll he's currently for, so... we will see)

Now. Now we're reaching the dolls that I don't have.

Yume. For her, I thought of using my Luts - DFH hybrid. She has a cute face and the DFH body looks a bit thicker in comparison to the others. But I felt like the head was a bit too young looking and since it is on the bigger side, would probably look a bit weird next to Chiriko.

Then I found Impldoll Carlee and her face is just... perfect. It's so gentle and exactly what I have in mind for her. As for the body, I ordered her on the plump body. Since her Clothes have a lot of layers, I hope that will make up for the slender waist. I love the hips for her, and from what I've heard, she's a great poser. And if everything else fails, I still have the DFH body.

Alayses will get the Souldoll body I have left over after selling my sleeping Karsh. It is dyed currently and I'll have to strip that colour off, and then hope the colour match won't be horrible lol, but I'm positive. The head will be Minifee Jiyu that is on order (Ordered it along with a friend so she can get the body), and I'll try to mod the teeth and hopefully will get a similarly cute look like Angel Toast did

And lastly, Leera. I made her more muscular with her latest redesign and I knew this would be a challenge. Like I said in another post, I found the Miracle Doll body and my bestie agreed that it would fit her. So... I decided to get that one. Possibly next month, as this month I'll have to pay for new glasses and it seems like a new oven is needed, too...

As for the head, a friend of me was selling their Xiaomian Alul head, and while I'm still not 100% sold on the tongue, my bestie and I agree that her overall vibe is pretty fitting, so... I hope it will work out.

This one is the doll that will need the most work, because I'm 100% sure I'll have to mod the neck of the body (as it is PRETTY wide), and I'll also have to find new hands that will fit her big wrists, because I don't really like the hands that come with it... Wish me all luck, okay?

By the way, SMG3 is now part of the crew, and he, SMG4, Boopkins, and Bob got redesigned at the end of 2022 to avoid copyright, Saiko got redesigned earlier that year, Meggy got a design refresh, SMG4, SMG3, and Boopkins got redesigned again because people didn't like the first redesigns, these along with Meggy happening in March of last year, and Tari got redesigned a few months later. Melony is still the same. I hope this clears things up
