فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّيْنَ ۙ الَّذِيْنَ هُمْ عَنْ صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُوْنَ ۙ
So woe to those who pray [But] who are heedless of their prayer
ان نمازیوں کے لئے افسوس (اور ویل نامی جہنم کی جگہ) ہے جو اپنی نماز سے غافل ہیں

Shaikh Hammaad al-Ansaaree's encounter with Maududi

I visited Maududi (Abul-A’laa Al-Maududi) along with some brothers during the course of his stay in Riyadh and he was in the hotel ‘bat-haa’ so we entered upon him and he was praying the ‘Asr prayer, so I began observing his prayer. So when he finished I said to him:
‘This prayer of yours needs reviewing, for you do not raise your hands, nor do you relax (be at ease) and other than that’
So he said: ‘I am Hanafee in Madhhab’.
So I said to him: ‘this is more overwhelming than the first; since it is impermissible for you to say that, and you are above such a statement. We had come to think from your writings that you are a free-thinker[1], but it has become apparent to us that you are a constricted thinker.’ Then I said to him: ‘indeed Imaam Aboo Haneefah is the one that you blindly follow; yet who are the ones that Imaam Aboo Haneefah blindly followed?’
He remained silent, and Allaah's Aid is sought.

Is mehfil ke ineqad ka maqsad Huzur Akramﷺ ki azmat, fazayel aur shamayel ka bayan tha. Is mahfil me tamam Anbiya Karaamؑ se Apﷺ ke bare me Ahad liya gaya aur is Ahad par Ambiya karaamؑ ke sath khud Allah Ta'ala ki zaat Pak bhi gawah bani. Quran Kareem me Nabi Akramﷺ ki shan aur azmat ke bayan ke liye munaqid ki gayi is mahfil ka bayan in alfaz me kiya gaya hai: ۞ وَإِذْ أَخَذَ اللَّهُ مِيثَاقَ النَّبِيِّينَ لَمَا آتَيْتُكُمْ مِنْ كِتَابٍ وَحِكْمَةٍ ثُمَّ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مُصَدِّقٌ لِمَا مَعَكُمْ لَتُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهِ وَلَتَنْصُرُنَّهُ ۚ قَالَ أَأَقْرَرْتُمْ وَأَخَذْتُمْ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكُمْ إِصْرِي ۖ قَالُوا أَقْرَرْنَا ۚ قَالَ فَاشْهَدُوا وَأَنَا مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ. (81 : Ale Imran) Tarjumah : aur (aye mahboobﷺ)! Yad karo jab Allah ne paigambaron se un ka Ahad liya jo mai tum ko kitab aur hikmat du fir tashreef laye tumhare pas woh rasool ke tumhari kitabon ki tasdique farmaye to tum zaroor zaroor us par Iman lana aur zaroor zaroor uski madad karna, farmaya kyon tum ne iqrar kiya aur us par mera bhari zimmah liya? Shaykh Hammād bin Muhammad Al-Ansāree [رحمه الله] said:
"Indeed the later Ash’arees renounce the work: Al-Ibaanah and Al-Maqaalaat of Abil-Hasan Al-Ash’aree, they likewise reject its confirmed affiliation to him – yet their renunciation and their rejection is false."

"The Ash’arees erred in twelve issues which can be divided into a difference pertaining to literal wording and a difference in meaning, six being in meaning and six being in literal wording. That which has been stated from the Ash’arees that they believe in – or affirm seven attributes, then these seven are from the attributes that are dhaatiyyah [those pertaining to Allaah’s Self] as for the attributes that are Fi’liyyah [those pertaining to Allaah’s actions] – then they believe in nothing from them. The seven attributes that they claim to have Eemaan in; then they believe in them because the intellect is in agreement with them – not because the proofs have come regarding them."

Setelah wafatnya Imam Akbar syaikh Azhar, Muhammad Sayyid Thanthawi di Riyadh dan dikebumikan di Baqi, Madinah Munawwarah tepatnya 24 Rabiul Awal 1431 H atau 10 Maret 2010, presiden republik Mesir Husni Mubarak mengeluarkan keputusan tentang pengangkatan Duktur Ahmad Thayyib sebagai syaikh Azhar yang ke 44 tepatnya 7 Rabiul Akhir 1431 H atau 23 Maret 2010.
Nama lengkap Duktur Thayyib adalah Ahmad Muhammad Thayyib. Lahir 6 Januari 1946 di Luxor, provinsi Qina. Nasab keluarga beliau bersambung ke Imam Hasan bin Abi Thalib Kw.
Syaikh Thayyib masuk Azhar dan menyelesaikan Licence di fakultas Ushuluddin jurusan Akidah dan Filsafat Islamiyah tahun 1969. Melanjutkan ke jenjang magister dan lulus pada tahun 1971. Kemudian Doktoral pada tahun 1977.
Jabatan yang beliau emban: Dekan fakultas Dirasat Islamiyah Wa Al-Arabiyah khusus laki-laki di Qina. Kemudian dekan fakultas Dirasat Islamiyah Wa Al-Arabiyah khusus laki-laki di Aswan. Dekan fakultas Ushuluddin di universitas Islam Internasional di Pakistan. Juga mengemban jabatan di universitas Imam Muhammad bin Su’ud al-Islamiyah di Riyadh, Saudi kemudian Qatar dan Emirat.
Karya-karya beliau antara lain: Al-Janib al-Naqdi fi Falsafah Abi al-Barakat al-Baghdadi. Ta’liq Ala Qism Ilahiyyat min Kitab Tadzhib al-Kalam karya Taftazani, Buhust fi Saqafat al-Islamiyah. Madkhal Li Dirasat al-Mantiq al-Qadim, al-Mabahis al-Wujud wa al-Mahiyah Min Kitab al-Mawaqif, Mafhum al-Haraqah Baina Falsafah Islamiyah wa Falsafah Marksiyah. Ushul Nadhariyah al-Ilm Inda al-Asya’ari, Mabahis Kitab Ilal wa Ma’lul min Kitab al-Mawaqif. Tahqiq Risalah (Shahih Adillah al-Naql fi Mahiyah al-Aql karya Abu Barakat al-Baghdadi disertai pengantar dengan bahasa Perancis. Tarjumah al-Mukadimat al-Faransiyah li Mu’jam al-Mufahras li Alfadz al-Hadis Nabawi. Ibnu Arabi fi Arwiqah al-Jamiah al-Mishriyah. Nadharat fi Qadiyah Tahrif Alquran al-Mansubah Li Syiah al-Imamiyah. Dirasat al-Faransiyyin An Ibn Arabi.
Nasihat-nasihat beliau yang tertera di Shout Azhar tanggal 9 dan 23 Agustus 2017.
“Ketahuliah kalian berbeda dengan semua universitas yang berada di dunia. Karena punggung-pungung kalian telah bersandar di sebuah universitas klasik yang umurnya telah melebihi 1000 tahun! Ketahuliah bahwa pendahulu-pendahulu kalian, meski mereka berpegang teguh dengan turats yang agung, mereka juga adalah orang-orang yang pertama kali membuka pintu-pintu kultur budaya peradaban Barat dan menyerap ilmu dan pengetahuan setelah menyaring antara yang bermanfaat dan tidak bermanfaat.
"Dan Azhar adalah rahim yang telah melahirkan syaikh Hasan ‘Athhar, Rifa’ah al-Thahtawi, Ayyad al-Thanthawi, Muhammad Abduh, Musthafa Abdu Raziq, Muhammad Abdullah al-Darraz, dan beberapa pendahulu dalam Ushuluddin, Syariah, Lughah Arabiyah yang mempelajari itu semua di Barat.”
“Nasihatku sebagai seorang ayah dan pengajar agar bersungguh-sungguh mempelajari bahasa Asing yang kelak akan menjadi jendela untuk mengetahui umat-umat yang lain. Dan merupakan nikmat Allah, sekarang telah tersedia jalan untuk mempelajari bahasa Inggris, Perancis, Jerman kepada para ahlinya di pusat pembelajaran bahasa di Azhar.”
“Anak-anakku! Aku mengucapkan selamat atas prestasi kalian dan kuucapkan juga selamat atas selesainya fase pertama dalam pendidikan kalian. Dan aku berharap kalian tidak mengira bahwa kesuksesan kalian yang luar biasa adalah akhir dari sebuah perjalanan. Mencari ilmu dan berupaya meraihnya selalu terbuka tanpa batas akhir. Aku berharap kalian melanjutkan ke Magister sesuai kemampuan kalian. Serta melipat-gandakan usaha kalian dalam membahas sebuah ilmu di fase Magister dan Doktoral di tiap-tiap takhassus masing-masing. Dengan inilah, kalian telah mengokohkan harapan-harapan bangsa kalian dalam membangun peradaban baru yang berhubungan erat dengan sejarah dan perjalanan awal umat ini.
“Nasihatku kepada kalian—sebagaimana yang telah aku sampaikan kepada anak-anakku di Tsanawiyah Azhariyah—agar selalu haus mengkaji Turats, sabar memahaminya, berusaha menemukan harta karun yang berada di dalamnya serta berupaya menemukan hal baru dalam takhassus ilmu dan sastra.”
“Ketahuilah Barat adalah contoh yang perlu kita pahat jejaknya. Barat tidak akan bangkit, bebas, dan maju dengan perkumpulan kosong dan bermalas-malasan. Memutilasi waktu kosong dengan hiburan, dan duduk di warung kopi, serta begadang yang dipakai untuk ngobrol tak bermanfaat.
Sesungguhnya kebangkitan Barat dan kemajuan eropa dengan keringat dan rasa lelah, memikul derita dan rasa susah dalam membuat, menemukan ciptaan, kemajuan di berbagai bidang, pikiran yang diletihkan guna memanfaatkan kemampuan, dan berusaha menemukan hal-hal yang tersembunyi dan mengekploitasi yang telah Allah kasih berupa khidmah terhadap manusia. Bukan tidak mungkin kelak, jika kita bertekad kemajuan yang ditekadkan oleh Barat dan meneguhkan cita-cita dan harapan melainkan kalian harus bangkit para pemuda, bersungguh-sungguh, bertekad dengan perkara-perkara kalian, dan merasakan sebuah pernyataan dari diri sendiri bahwa kemauan, kehendak, dan kemampuan kalian lebih tinggi daripada pemuda-pemuda Eropa, Amerika, Jepang, yang telah membangun negaranya hingga melambung tinggi dan sampai di puncak langit.
“Bahkan aku meyakini bahwa kalian lebih bisa dari mereka, karena kalian memiliki Agama, keyakinan, serta keterhubungan dengan Turast klasik yang senantiasa diperbaharui dan kalian lebih spektakuler dari Barat, dan senantiasa dari sesuatu yang dilukiskan oleh ayah-ayah dan kakek-kakek kalian adalah sebuah sejarah yang tiada tandingannya hingga saat ini.”
Perhatian syaikh Ahmad Thayyib terhadap santri-santrinya sangat tinggi. Tak heran beliau dijuluki Abu Wafidin (Abahnya para pelajar asing). Di masa beliau, pengajian, talaqqi menyerbak. Masyaikh-masyaikh Kibar turun gunung mengajar dan menjelaskan sisi-sisi tersembunyi dari sebuah ilmu. Semoga Allah menyehatkan beliau dan menggunungkan tekad beliau dalam mencetak Azhari yang sejati.
أبا البسطا إن القصيدةَ كلَّت ■ بمدحك في السمحاء بينَ البَرِيَّةِ
وها هو ذا شيخ الأزاهرة الذي ■ تحمَّل في ترسيخِ علمٍ وخبرةِ
O, bapak orang-orang yang sederhana, sungguh kasidah telah lemah lantaran memuji toleransimu di antara manusia
Dialah grand syaikh para Azhary yang telah berlelah menancapkan ilmu dan pengetahuan
هو الأشعَرِي صِرفًا وتابعُ مالكِ■ هو الحسنِي عترًا وفي النهجِ خَلوَتِي
وكان له الحُسَّادُ يطفئُ نورَه ■ أبى الله إلا أن يُتِمَّ بِبهجَةِ
Dia adalah Asyari, dan pengikut Imam Malik. Dia adalah Hasani serta mengikuti Thariqah Khalwati. Seseorang yang hasud berusaha memadamkan cahayanya. Namun Allah menolaknya! Sebelum Dia menyempurkan cahaya tersebut dengan cahaya!
أرادَ من الإنسان أن قمع القلا ■ فعاشوا تحابًا والمحبَّةُ لاحَتِ
إمامٌ حريصٌ ذو اصطبارٍ وقدوة ■ هو الطيب المحبوبِ صاحب طيبَةِ
كفى باسمه اسما والمسمى دليله ■ سريرتهُ خيرٌ منَ العَلَنِيَّةِ
Dia ingin memusnahkan kebencian di antara manusia. Hingga mereka hidup saling mencintai dan cinta mampu merekah
Seorang Imam yang sungguh-sungguh, pemilik kesabaran yang maha dan keteladan. Dialah syaikh Thayyib yang dicintai, pemilik kebaikan.
Cukuplah dengan namanya sebagai nama dan sosok yang dinamai. Tandanya; batinnya lebih baik daripada dhahirnya!

Who are we?
Who are we? (jameel jiddan, maashaAllah)(shaykh muqbil- rahimahullah) Who are we? [1]: We believe in Allah and His Names and Attributes, as they were mentioned in the Book of Allah and in the Sunnah of the Messenger of (Allah Sallalahu alaihi wa Sallam), without tahreef (distortion), nor ta‘weel (figurative interpretation), nor tamtheel (making a likeness), nor tashbeeh (resemblance), nor ta’teel (denial). [2]: We love the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (Sallalahu alaihi wa Sallam), and we hate those who speak against them. We believe that to speak ill of them is to speak ill of the Religion, because they are the ones who conveyed it to us. And we love the Family of the Prophet with love that is permitted by the Sharee’ah. [3]: We love the People of Hadeeth and all of the Salaf of the Ummah from Ahlus-Sunnah. [4]: We despise ’ilmul-kalaam (knowledge of theological rhetoric), and we view it to be from amongst the greatest reasons for the division in the Ummah. [5]: We do not accept anything from the books of Fiqh (jurisprudence), nor from the books of Tafsir (explanation of the Qur’an), nor from the ancient stories, nor from the Seerah (biography) of the Prophet, except that which has been confirmed from Allah or from His Messenger. We do not mean that we have rejected them, nor do we claim that we are not in need of them. Rather, we benefit from the discoveries of our Scholars and the jurists and other than them. However, we do not accept a ruling, except with an authentic proof. [6]: We do not write in our books, nor do we cover in our lessons, nor do we give sermons with anything except the Qur’an, or the authentic and authoritative hadeeth. And we detest what emanates from many books and admonishers in terms of false stories and weak and fabricated Ahadith. [7]: We do not perform Takfeer (expel one from Islaam) upon any Muslim due to any sin, except Shirk (polytheism) with Allah, or the abandonment of Prayer, or apostasy. We seek refuge in Allah from that. [8]: We believe that the Qur’an is the Speech of Allah, it is not created. [9]: We hold that our ‘obligation is to co-operate with the group that traverses the methodology of the Book and the Sunnah, and what the Salaf of the Ummah were upon; in terms of calling to Allah the Glorified, and being sincere in worship of Him, and warning from Shirk, innovations, and disobedience, and to advise all of the groups that oppose this.’ ‘So co-operating upon righteousness and piety (taqwaa) and mutual advising necessitates warning against evil and not co-operating with the wicked.’ [10]: We do not deem it correct to revolt against the Muslim rulers as long as they are Muslims, nor do we feel that revolutions bring about reconciliation. Rather, they corrupt the community. [11]: We hold that this multiplicity of present day parties is a reason for the division of the Muslims and their weakness. So therefore, we set about ‘freeing the minds from the fetters of blind-following and the darkness of sectarianism and party spirit.’ [12]: We restrict our understanding of the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the → Messenger of Allah r to the understanding of the Salaf of the Ummah from the Scholars of hadeeth, not the blind-followers of their individuals. Rather, we take the truth from wherever it comes. And we know that there are those who claim Salafiyyah, yet Salafiyyah is free from them, since they bring to the society what Allâah has prohibited. We believe in ‘cultivating the young generation upon this Islaam, purified from all that we have mentioned, giving to them a correct Islâmic education from the start – without any influence from the disbelieving western education.’ [13]: We believe that politics is a part of the Religion, and those who try to separate the Religion from politics are only attempting to destroy the Religion and to spread chaos. [14]: We believe that there will be no honor or victory for the Muslims until they return to the Book of Allah and to the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah. [15]: We oppose those who divide the Religion into trivialities and important issues. And we know that this is a destructive Daw’ah. [16]: We oppose those who put down the knowledge of the Sunnah, and say that this is not the time for it. Likewise, we oppose those who put down acting upon the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah. [17]: Our Daw’ah and our ’Aqeedah is more beloved to us than our own selves, our wealth and our offspring. So we are not prepared to part with it for gold nor silver. We say this so that no one may have hope in buying out our Daw’ah, nor should he think that it is possible for him to purchase it from us for deenaar or dirham. [18]: We love the present day Scholars of the Sunnah and hope to benefit from them and regret the passing away of many of them. [19]: We do not accept a Fatwaa except from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah.These are glimpses into our ’Aqeedah and our Daw’ah. So if one has any objection to this, then we are prepared to accept advice if it is truthful, and to refute it if it is erroneous, and to avoid it if it is stubborn rejection. And Allâah knows best. Musaafaha ek haath se karna Sunnat e Rasool Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam hai. Iski wazeh daleel: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَاسِمُ بْنُ أَصْبَغَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَضَّاحٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُبَشِّرُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ حَسَّانَ بْنِ نُوحٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُسْرٍ قَالَ تَرَوْنَ يَدِي هَذِهِ صَافَحْتُ بِهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ Tarjumah: Hazrat Abdullah Ibn e Busr farmaate hain ke mere is haath ko dekhte ho, main ne is se Allah ke Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam se musaafaha kiya hai. (At-Tamheed: 12/247) Allama Abdurrehman Mubarakpoori Is Hadees par hukm lagaate huwe kehte hain: رِجَالُهُ كُلُّهُمْ ثِقَاتٌ وَإِسْنَادُهُ مُتَّصِلٌ Tarjumah: Is hadees ke saare ruwaat (narrators) siqah hain aur is ki sanad muttasil hai. (Tohfat ul Ahwazi: 7/430) Hadees mein ka «ید» lafz hai jo ism e jins hai jo ek aur do haath dono ke liye istemaal hota hai lekin «ید» ke baad «هَذِهِ» ki ziyaadti se wazahat ho jaati hai ke «ید» se yahan ek haath muraad hai. Agar «ید» se do haath muraad hote to «هَذِهِ» waahid ke bajaaye «ھذان» tasniyah ka segha istemaal kiya jaata. Toh is hadith se saaf taur par malum pada ki ek hath se musafa karna sahabao ka aam mamool tha kyuki hadith ke alfaz me “riwaz” alfaz hai jiska matlab koi khas amal jo boht pahle se chali aa rahi ho ya aam mamool hota hai. Lekin agar koi shaks do hath se musafa kare to ye jaiz hai, ye biddat nahi hai, balki ye mubah hai aur yahi Raae(opinion) Ulama ka bhi hai, Aur Muhaddis Zubair Ali Zai ka bhi yahi kenha hain. Par sunnah ki agar baat kare to musafa karna ek hath se sabit hai aur yahi amal sahaba ka tha aur yahi amal behtar hai. Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah (24/125) me kaha gaya hai ki hame aesi koi ilm nahi ki do hath se(musafa) nahi karna chaiye. Lekin ek hath se karna behtar hai. Aur Allah sab se behtar janta hai.
