A few more Aussie Pokemon to add to my collection!
Bliter: A cheery young pup, this cheeky little blighter loves digging anywhere and everywhere- blue heeler/Bluey inspired ("cheeky blighter" is often an affectionate term for a slightly naughty little kid)
Drover: Evolves from bliter. This Pokemon is very tough and a hard worker, very loyal to their trainer and protective of their fellow pokemon- based on red heelers and Aussie stockmen/cowboys (called drovers)
Wambi: These little guys may look cute and chubby, but they're surprisingly fast and built of solid muscle! Love to be thrown and kicked around by groups of roolenko- based on wombats and Aussie rules football and rugby balls
Roolenko: Extremely athletic and active Pokemon, who love to compete with one another and play games using wambi as balls- inspired by kangaroos and footy players (the name is inspired by the famous line "Jesaulenko you beauty!!" about a famous mark by player Alex Jesaulenko)
Tazzle: These Pokemon are notorious for their awful terrifying cries and intimidating teeth, but they are in fact quite cowardly and easily spooked. They like to steal, but if interrupted will scatter- inspired by Tassie devils and young vagabonds
Thylager: This Pokemon is ferocious and extremely proud. It is said that thylagers construct and reinforce their armor throughout their lives, slowly making them more complex and elaborate. The one with the best armour is the leader of the pack- based on thylacines (Tasmanian tigers) and the famous bushranger Ned Kelly and his gang
While these Pokemon aren't specifically designed to my personal tastes (I'm a quadruped fan, so if I was making Pokemon to suit my own preferences both drover and thylager would be four legged) these were all just ideas that I came up with brainstorming and thought were fun! Roolenko is kinda hideous but I could not resist giving him a classic mullet and mo combo and some footy shorts, and now I can't help but love him lol

Imagining the sounds he could make. You seen that video of the kiwi shrieking. I like to imagine it’s a wide variety of different sounds this creature can make. Tasmanian Devil screaming, gator bellowing, purring/growling, chuffing (a sound big cats make), hissing (probably more reptilian than feline) and maybe rarely when he’s actually enraged you get a roar
That is such a cool take omfg,,, I love animalistic features on the dealer..
Tho imagine waking up to those noises in the middle of the night..

Major shelf shuffle! I decided to swap the long standing Dino Zone with my Australian animal collection, giving them more space to spread out, and changed a lot of displays on this half of the room.
Really happy to see the Aussie animals more on display, and it's nice to have them right under the thylacine shelves! It's funny how the Tassie devil corner is just a dark shadowy place too lol. Synapsid space is down below them! You may spot that one dinosaur managed to stay on this shelf, because she is Australian too.

Since I also decided to get rid of my fish tank (don't worry, all fish had lived full lives and it was vacant for a while) I had more free space to the left side too. So I decided to move the little set of drawers up there (full of bones and such...) and make a nice skully naturey display on top. Not much of a theme to the animal figures in front, just a few I like!
Tumblr media
And off to the left of that, Pawface is getting to hang out by my galaxy projector light and some tiny drawers of rocks and trinkets. Ink (the black, one eyed creature) is out to play for the first time in a while too!

The dinosaurs and other prehistoric guys are doing fine and only a few needed to be put away! They've got the two lower left shelves, and the lowest shelf even has a bit of a rainbow going on.

Some slight positivity for a change, because I love Australian animals!
fun fact! Bandicoots exist
Tumblr media
they are super cool
also numbats!
Tumblr media
and tree kangaroos
Tumblr media
and many more cool guys!
numbats are actually basically aardvarks, they have long slender tongues that slurp up ants and termites!
tree kangaroos are a endangered species and also super cool, they are marsupials actually almost all mammals are marsupials here lol
Tumblr media
Dingoes actually are incredibly diverse in colour and variation!
they also howl and are one of our only land predators lol, we got tassie devils and dingoes that’s it. (The rest are very extinct)
Tumblr media
tassie devils are real and so small, I have seen them in real life. You could hold them in your arms they are that small.
they also have incredibly powerful jaws and literally eat bones, and rotten meat.
and uh that’s all
-pop
AWWW
I heard Eurpeans scare each other with "oh in australia the drop bears will kill you"
Australian animals are so neat!

May we see more of your devils?
Sorry, but I’ll rather keep them and the past photos private. I currently own 0, as the females (can’t say their name or you can track me down though searching for said devils online) have been released into a breeding program! But hopefully I’ll be able adopt more soon (and have more photos)
Devils have “ unique ” names so if you search (devil name) followed by Tasmania or Tassie devil ect ect you’ll find the carer and the devil. If your registered as an emergency handler for injured animals ect you could also find addresses. So I would rather not dox myself lmao
