There's just something about that scene where Lae'zel holds a knife to your throat that really just heightens when you're romancing her.

"First you. Then the others. Then myself."

A mercy, a death far better than turning into a mindflayer. Done by the hand of the woman you love in the dead of night. There would be no survivors, but she chose to seek you out first. Because the pain of killing the person she is growing to admire is far more difficult than anyone else in the party. To see you die a quick peaceful death, without the agony of a monstrous transformation.

She loves you. So she would rather kill everyone while you are still yourselves, so you are not transformed beyond recognition into a ghaik.

Which is why I decided to surrender to her, and the face she makes when she looks at your dead body absolutely breaks my heart:

"If the sickness does not pass come dawn... I will end us all."

"Your minds intertwine. You sense a touch of uncertainty, a touch of disgust."

The way she approves when you deceive her, taking the knife from her and telling her that no one will die tonight. She doesn't want to do it, not at all. But it is a fate better than becoming a monster and in her disillusions of the moment that is all that's important.

I love her so much and this scene has been rotating in my mind, I made sure to go back and pick all of the options just because I needed to.

Favorite Weapon: The Markoheshkir

Style of Combat: Magic is her weapon of choice. She's particularly fond of spells that can take out several enemies at once. She's not so great at melee and that's when her team comes in handy.

Most Prized Possession: A rose quartz teardrop necklace. It was gift from someone from her past who she still holds dear, but she never talks about them.

Deepest Desire: She wants to get over her past trauma, but doesn't want to actually have to unpack it. She seems to believe if she ignores it, it'll go away. She's convinced if she can just make all the pain stop, she'll finally have the happy life she's always wanted.

Guilty Pleasure: She loves badly written books. She reads some of them with her closest friends and she'll genuinely have a fun time with them. Of course, she likes good books, too. The bad ones just have such a charm to them.

Best-Kept Secret: Her entire past. She's never told a soul about where she comes from or what's happened to her. She's so good at hiding it, it's almost an art form.

Greatest Strength: She's one of the most reliable people you'll ever meet. She's a natural born leader and she has a huge heart. It's a little broken, but it beats ferociously.

Fatal Flaw: She will not deal with her trauma or even acknowledge it. She believes if she just doesn't look at it, it'll go away. Her denial leads to a lot of mental health meltdowns and then she punishes herself for "failing" at mental health.

Favorite Smell: Chamomile, Mint, and Oleander

Favorite Spell or Cantrip: She loves Shatter and Phantasmal Force. Polymorph is also way more fun than it should be.

Pet Peeve: Questions about her past, people who cut in line, and people who have to one-up everyone all of the time.

Bad Habit: Avoiding her trauma is the number one bad habit. She's easily agitated and startled because of her PTSD. Even when she knows someone is there, she might still jump which annoys her to no end. She's a perfectionist that also overloads herself with work constantly.

Hidden Talent: She's incredibly gifted at mathematics. She's the kind of person who can quickly calculate equations in head. She's also likes to knit and she's gotten good at it.

Leisure Activity: She loves going to pleasure gardens which are probably the closest she can get to an amusement park. (In her original universe @thebonnevillegame, she loves amusement parks.) She also considers practicing magic a leisure activity. Other than that, she knits and reads.

Favorite Drink: Chamomile Tea

Comfort Food: Sweet Potatoes and Baldurian Mash

Favorite Person: On a platonic level, it's her besties Minty and Ingrid. She also becomes good friends with Bex, Wyll, and Gale. Romantically speaking, she falls for Lae'zel. She didn't even realize she was falling until suddenly there was all this talk about being the source of somebody's bruises.

Favored Display of Affection (platonic and/or romantic): Her main love language is acts of service. Her actions speak louder than words.

Fondest Childhood Memory: She doesn't have many fond childhood memories. The only good memory she'll admit to is playing with her siblings when she was growing up. She won't go any deeper into it.

A little bit of my Baldur's Gate 3 sketches (maybe I'll upload more later) I never was a DnD player and didn't know much about it (besides some general & popular stuff), so this is my first actual experience x) This game is enormous - and amazing - and a bit overwhelming - and I enjoyed it. I made my Tav a barbarian, but with a bit of intelligence upgrade... and even more charisma, because talking your enemies into doing something was hilarious. I also wasn't planning on shipping her with anyone, but Gale got so obsessed with her and praised her all the time, so I decided to give it a try (didn't regret it, it was fun). Trolling him was also fun, just like in this spider licking scene xD I also drew her with hooves because I like how it looks. But she can be drawn either way, doesn't really matter to me Hope you enjoy the art!
