He anted to make you crack in a way, you were never bother by his comments and instead joked back which he absolutely loved but he also wanted to make you flustered and shy at least once

“Oh looky here [name]!” He said with a giggle as he held up some handcuffs and rope he picked up from a drawer while trying to find parts to make a body

Kou and Yashiro understood what he meant, Yashiro looked the other way while Kou called him a sicko with a red face

You smiled at hanako and laughed, “Oh wow Hanako! I didn’t know you were into that, I don’t judge though!” You said and it only made Hanako feel shy instead of you

He loves how you never get mad at his jokes and if you ever make a perverted joke, he falls so hard

You were sitting down on the bathroom floor, you were stuck on a question for physics. It was only you and Hanako in the girls bathroom and Hanako leaned over to see what you were doing and giggled

"You're stuck on a question? Come on! It doesn't even look that hard!" he remarked with a laugh and pressing his finger into your cheek to annoy you

You huffed and waved his finger away "If you're so confident then why don't you help me solve it and I'll consider giving you a treat after." you winked at him after, making him look at you in awe and red cheeks.

-He finds it cute.

-Honestly, he really likes it since he can tease about it later.

-Every once in a while he'll float over to you and lift the headphones out or lightly tug on your earbuds to pull them out.

-"Whatchu listening to?" He asks.

-He's not really looking for answer, he just wants your attention.

-If you close your eyes while listening, he'll go in for a kiss just to see your surprised face.

-If you wear earbuds he'll ask if you can share.

Nene Yashiro

-Honestly, she doesn't really judge you since she's just so happy she actully got a relationship, so when she sees you listening to music and bopping your head, she doesn't mind.

-She might every once in a while ask what song it is.

-If she knows the song she'll either talk about it or fawn over the band members/singer.

-You introduced her to a lot of diffrent types of music along with new bands and singers.

-Every once in a while she gets a sticky notes and writes songs she likes so you can listen to them. (Along with a few doodles in the corner.)

Kou Minamoto

-He's concerned.

-He thinks you're going to hit your head or something else since your not really paying attention to your surroundings.

-He usually has a hand wrapped around your waist just to make sure your safe.

-If you offer to listen to music with him, he'll accept. Perhaps you could dance together.

-I don't think he'd be a very good dancer so you might have to teach him if you know.

-If neither of you know, well you can just look like two idiots having fun.

-When you two dance im the school (if ever) Hanako is going to intervene. He'll probably trip Kou so he'll fall on you making him look like a pervert. And nobody else can see Hanako so they Kou is in the wrong.

-Hanako truly doesn't mean any harm by it, he's just trying to poke some fun.

-As long as you tell Kou he doesn't need to worry about you and you can handle your surroundings, he's a lot more comfortable.

Teru Minamoto

-Same thing with his brother, he worries you're going to get hurt and tries to avoid anything happening to you.

-He always had a ton of fangirls and the fact he choose means you matter to him more than you could imagine. (Same thing with his fans if you know what I mean.)

-He might even go as far as taking you things away if you don't listen to him.

-Don't worry, just give him puppy dog eyes and he'll give in faster than the speed of sound.

-Or cry, if you can cry on command good lord. He HATES to see a person he cares for in pain, so he'll do almost anything to make it stop.

-If you walk around while listening to music, he's right behind you with his hands on your shoulders to make sure you're safe. This does not change if your eyes are open.

-And if you do happen to have someone bump into you, are they going to have an earful from your boyfriend.

-So, just be careful around him and when you listen to music.

Sakura Nanamie

-It doesn't bother her in the slightest.

-She enjoys the stillness of sound, she's usually caught up with Tsukasa being loud, so just being in the same room as you, but not talking makes her enjoy these times together.

-She knows your not paying attention so she sometimes go up behind you and give a little kiss on your cheek. (Or on the lips depending on how far the relationship has gone.)

-When she wants your attention for either a question or because she simply wants affection, she'll lightly tap your shoulder or rub the back of your hand.

-She ALWAYS asks if you can give her attention beforehand, since she is very much aware of what it's like for someone to be forced into it.

-This also makes it very rare for her to ask for anything, but I'm getting off track.

-It's not a huge part of her life but she still thinks it kinda cute you do it

Tsukasa Yugi

-All he can think is, "Perfect opportunity".

-You're distracted AND can't hear him. He wants to prank or surprise you as much as possible. Having your attention on something else other than him (Which he is a bit offended by) Gives him the chance to shock you.

-At this point, it's not as surprising. The most shocking part is what he tries and do to gain your focus.

-He's given you things he's killed, which the offer is nice, the corpse is not.

-He'll incessantly bother you asking if he can listen to music with you.

-If you refuse, he'll do one of three things.

- 1. Continue to cry and complain

- 2. Take whatever you're listening to music on.

- 3. Get Sakura involved. Which ends up with your device getting confiscated.

-As fun as it is to mess with you, he gets super annoyed if you ignore him completely. And that leads to one of the items above.

-Just as long as you devote your time to mostly him, he's fine with whatever else you do.

A Nurse’s Assistant 

One of the things being a Nurse’s assistant? You’d have to deal with students getting injured. It was a part of your training to become a doctor in the future. 

In fact, it was a passion you had. Between being a full time student and an assistant to the school nurse, you were pretty busy every day. 

Collectively, at least twice during the day, there was always one boy that made frequent trips to see you. Each time he came in, bruises and other various injuries were all over his person. It was your job to tend to these, sometimes all by yourself because the nurse was away. 

Somewhere between the hundreds of trips to see you,  you’ve caught a crush on the boy called Amane Yugi. Though you highly wished he wouldn’t see you every day, it somehow made your day a bit better seeing him walk into the office with that smirk of his. 

He always wore it on his face whenever he saw you. It was also mischievous. 

Today was one of them. 

School was just ending. Students starting going home or to clubs for the day. You, being the nurse’s assistant, stayed in the office where the two of you worked every day.

 Currently , you were organizing the creams and bandages putting them in their respective places. As you placed a roll of white bandages in the drawer, the sound of the door opening caught your attention. 

You didn’t have to look up to know it was Amane. It just made you wonder what happened this time? Sighing internally, you came from the back of the room to look at the boy. 

He was the same as always, except this time there was a bruise on his cheek, and his hands had some cuts that needed attending to. Despite his injuries, he gave you that happy smirk of his. It was enough to send your cheeks warm and your heart stuttering. 

“Hey Y/n! you’re looking exceptionally beautiful today, not that you don’t look beautiful every day.” 

There he went again with his flirtatious compliments. He seemed to love teasing you and flirting. Why, you didn’t know ,but there was a part of you that was hoping he was doing it because he liked you too. 

You hated the way his words easily flustered you. There were times when he’d flirt in hopes you wouldn’t scold him. Well, it wouldn’t work this time. 

“Amane,” you mumbled. “This is becoming a habit. Come sit down so I can patch you up.” 

You shook your head sadly and went to grab the cream and bandages. The boy waltzed over and took a seat on the bench, watching you quietly prepare everything. 

You walked back over and knelt in front of him, treating his face first, which had a bruise. 

“Amane I’m worried,” You spoke. “This isn’t normal. What’s happened with you?” Your tone was gentle and kind.

 You didn’t want to scare him away or make him clam up. You just wanted to help him because you cared deeply. 

Amane averted his amber colored eyes, almost as if he was ashamed. The look on his face just showed guilt, but it was very brief. 

“Aw are you worried about me? Is it because you...” He leaned forward, extremely close to your face, so close your noses were brushing. “...you’re in love with me?” 

Your face betrayed you, your cheeks warming up at his statement. You could feel your heart just hammering away so loudly Amane could probably hear. As if the boy could hear it, he smirked. 

“You’re cute when you’re flustered Y/n~” 

A scowl etched across your face. He was flirting yet again to divert you. 

“Amane,” You stated, this time more firm to let him know you were being serious this time. “I’m not kidding! take this seriously!  I’m so worried about you, why can’t you see that? What’s going on with you?” 

You grabbed his hands gently in yours, your thumbs gingerly caressing his fingers. 

“If you’re being bullied then tell me...please don’t...stay silent about this..” 

Whether it was because of your words or the way you were holding his hands, Amane’s cheeks grew warm with blood rushing to his face. 

Unbeknownst to you, his heart was hammering just as fast as yours. 

The boy tilted his head down to hide his eyes from you. “It’s fine. I can handle myself you shouldn’t worry about me. It’ll just be troublesome.” 

Somehow his words pained you even more . Did he not feel worth it? Was he depressed? Did he feel like a burden? 

Sighing out loud, you reached out and grabbed his uninjured cheek, tilting his head up. You opened the cream cap and started applying it to the bruise, while speaking. 

“It’s not fine Amane. You’re showing up with new injuries every single day. Your arms are always covered in bandages and even though you’re always flirting with me, I can see how sad you are.” 

You closed the cream cap and stared into his amber eyes.

 “I worry because I like you Amane. You’re not troublesome please believe me....” 

With that, you continued to take care of his injuries, placing a large bandage on his cheek. Once that was done you focused on his cuts that were on his hands. 

Both yours and Amane’s cheeks were extremely warm. The words of confession were still lingering between you two.

 It took amane about five seconds of silence, before he finally addressed your statement. 

“You...like me?” 

Seriously? That’s what he heard out of all of this?  

“I do. You should be more careful and come to me if you’re having trouble. Please don’t deal with this yourself.....please,” you begged, placing your hands on his knees to look up at him. 

The idea of losing Amane....made your heart break. You knew how this worked.

 It always started with bullying, which could lead to depression, and then to suicide. You did not want Amane suffering through this alone. 

Amane’s face held one of contemplation first, his eyebrows furrowed as if he was thinking. His cheeks were set aflame, yet his amber eyes drifted towards you, locking with your e/c ones. 

“I’m sorry...” He finally said. “I’m sorry but I can’t tell you. Not today at least.” Leaning forward, he grasped your hands, your fingers intertwining. The little gesture almost gave you a heart attack it was beating too fast. 

“Y/n...I really like you too.” 

Your eyes widened in response, shocked that Amane was actually reciprocating the feelings. 

A quiet laugh left Amane’s lips as he watched your shocked face. The boy leaned forward close to your ear, and you could hear the smirk in his voice. 

“You’re really pretty Y/n. You’re so cute when you’re caught off guard.” 

He pulled back and sighed, his face growing serious again. 

“If you really want to know, then....I’ll tell you everything. Until that happens, please be by my side. I’d like it even more if you were by my side as my lover.” 

By now you’ve gotten over your shock. Your face curled up in a small smile, adoring at how flustered Amane was right now. He was just a shy, teenage boy, it was so cute. 

“Okay! I’ll be your lover Amane....but please try to avoid coming in here if you can. There’s only so many bandages you can have on you until you look like a mummy.” 

Amane chuckled at this and grinned. “But I’ll be a cute mummy!” He untangled your hands with his and wrapped his arms around your frame in a hug. 

“I’m your mummy right Y/n?” 

You rolled your eyes, yet you were happy. 

“Yeah Amane, my mummy.”

Today, you had been inside the monitor room for announcements with a few of the upperclassmen Class Representatives discussing something about the standardized test scores of the classes all around the freshman classes. She will admit it's quite a rough winter with tests, but she's doing decently in her studies.

She stood by the sliding door and rocked on her feet as she awaited her friend to leave the announcement room. The meeting had technically adjourned a good minute ago and the thin, oak sliding door was pulled back to allow your fellow students to calmly walk past her in the halls. All the students that passed her were taking off their armbands to head home for the day and unwind, but she couldn't shake the feeling that something was up after you didn't come out even after Akane left…

And so RAS was off to practice with their newly not possessed vocalist. You joked. "Fun to see you traveler safe travels!"

You got a commission about the very same forest the next day. You stretch before entering as you feel the whole atmosphere change around you. "Alright just gotta exorcise a spirit and live to tell the tale" you quicken your pace using elemental sight to spot anything. Still nothing...him...

Turns out it was a good choice because it seems you were in a new area. Dark yet well lit and quiet. "Y/n~" you look around pulling out your weapon. "Y/n~ why are you so hostile? Relax a little" the voice sounded exactly like your beloved. "Boo" a soft blow on your ear you turned around using your vision to strike the thing behind you. "What's wrong? Then it hit you, perhaps the people you saw were in cahoots' with the spirit with the commission being an actual adventurer. That's when an idea hit you.

You pinned one of the fakes to the ground. "Scara...you're so cute when you can't even keep eye contact" you leaned into kiss the fake. The real Scaramouche covering his face while speed walking up to you. he catches up to you and shakes you "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU-" "What's wrong with you trying to keep a forest to yourself" "THIS IS A PRIVATE PLACE" he sighs. "And all adventures do is make noise while I try to relax. They're so obnoxious"

The water splashed around the two as their hands gripped the others, their hands swinging back and forth as they jumped around. Laughs sputtered from their lips, chests heaving with deep breaths as they finally paused their dancing for a breath.

A comfortable silence settled between the two, [f.name]’s [h.color] drenched and dripping excess water to the ground as they stepped underneath a spot of shade, shielding them from the hard-hitting rain.

“I’m.. out of..” [f.name] heaved out a breath no, hands finding their knees as they bent to catch their breath. “..out of breath.”

Hanako stood right next to [f.name], his breathing almost as heavy from the dancing they just endured together.

The silence between them settled to nothingness again. The rain hitting the top of where they stood and the noises of struggling breathing being heard between them.

Once [f.name] caught their breath. They stood up and pulled their hair back behind their shoulders, shaking their head almost violently, slinging water everywhere in the process, which caused them both to erupt into more laughter, and for Hanako to shove them back out in the rain, his hands gripping theirs as they pulled each other around in the rain. Laughter once again echoing from them both.

Once they parted hands, [f.name] stretched their hands out and towards the sky, the rain covering their face in even more water. They were almost safe before Hanako had tackled them to the ground, before rolling to lay next to them, their bodies heaving with deep breaths and occasional laughs as they stared at the sky, the rain pouring down and hitting their faces.

[f.name] snatched Hanako’s hat, placing it over their face as the rain continued to pour over Hanako’s face harshly. They tousled for a bit, fighting over the hat before it was sling to the side, both too tired to fight over it any longer, leaving them heaving for air as they just danced until they dropped.

The sun had long set, [f.name] probably should’ve returned home hours ago, but they’d rather spend the night dancing around and falling over, as long as it was spent with Hanako.

[f.name] dragged Nene by her hand out into the rain, the rain drenching the both of them almost instantly. [f.name] letting out an almost maniacal laugh at the look of Nene’s wet face, her hair covering bits and pieces.

The night progressed smoothly, the two twirling and dipping and occasionally dropping to the ground tired after the hours spent dancing, but every time they got back up to splash around and dance together.

Some points they held hands and jumped around, others they danced on their own. Either way, slinging water everywhere.

They were soaking wet by the time they stepped back underneath some shelter, the rain getting muffled as they shivered together, both equally as drenched and dirty as the other.

“We’re gonna get sick.” Yashiro started, crossing her arms as she shivered alongside [f.name]

“I know.” [f.name]’s teeth clattered as they spoke.

“I don’t wanna get sick.” Nene pushed her hair back as she spoke, water running from over the shelter they hunkered under and hitting the ground in front of them.

They would explore around and visit or listen to every genera of music there are! They are very adventurous and love spending time with you even if you do too! Would eat many different types of food and snacks as well even if the festival didn’t started they would sing their favorite song and go crazy or hyper. Very positive and out going person! Sometimes gets lost and spam calls through your phone just to find where you are. If you started to cry when someone sings a emotional song they would cry with you as well! You would think they were a different person when going to the festival.

Would wear clothing that were kinda inappropriate..But when the festival is over..they would turn back into their angle version… And be innocent like nothing ever happen..

When you make a joke that’s one day too far he genuinely seems so much more concerned and ask if you’re okay. He gets so worried about you that it’s best not to make jokes like that near him.

If you don’t show up the next day, he gets worried and is immediately trying to leave school early even though he knows Teru will berate him later for it, he needs to see you’re okay and when he arrives to your house and sees you are, he’s very serious about not making jokes like those again and is invites you to his house more often to distract yourself and is willing to help you get help

Teru Minamoto

Gives you a nervous smile when you joke about suicide and even when you you’re dating he still gives you an obvious fake smile to not hurt your feelings. He knows that outright saying that if you need someone talk to talk to can be annoying sometimes so he’ll try to subtly let you know he’s there

Whether it’s from talking about a topic of a documentary of a tragic life of some celebrity and all they needed help to having Kou telk you that you’re part of the family and that you can tell them anything when you’re over at their house

“I can’t stop messing this up! God I really should’ve taken those pills when I had the chance, what the hell!” You said angrily at the fact you couldn’t get the string through the small hole in the needle.

Teru could only smile at you, he never says anything to your ‘jokes’, but then he stops and just goes to frowning hoping that you’re not being serious

When you don’t show up the next day, he’s not super worried and just assumes you’re late but sends you messages. He might laugh at your jokes, but it’s only so he doesn’t worry you. He’s not an unfamiliar when it comes to stuff like this and he knows you might now want to talk about it right away so he’s fine with trying to take it slow

On the inside though, his ghostly heart is scared that you’re it joking and you’re actually being serious. He can’t bear the thought of you dying—and especially dying this way so he keeps a close eye on you and has Kou and Yashiro even make sure that you’re doing okay

“God, I’m so stupid and useless” you say with a laugh as you look at your test result and shove the paper back in your bag

Hanako stares at you, and lets out a laugh that’s believe enough. He’s conflicted on what he should do, should he ask how you’re doing? What if you lie to him? Would you even want to talk to him?

It seems as if his worries have come true when you didn’t show up to school the next day and asks if Yashiro or Kou have seen you at all and to message you on those weird electronic things. Yashiro only agrees to go to your house when Hanako asked because she too was worried about you. Hanako waits impatiently the next day and sees you and you tell him you were just feeling sick. If he could, then Hanako would definitely cry and basically forces you to promise to tell him if anything is wrong with a scared and worried expression on his face

Akane Aoi

You’re the most precious person in his life so he takes everything very serious when it comes to you. A paper cut? He’s getting ready to call an ambulance for you and is frantically asking you if you’re okay.

So joking about such topics near him immediately alarms him and hea on full protective mode with asking if you’re joking or not. He takes everything you say seriously, he cares about you a lot so to see you laugh about it, hurts him a little

“What if I jump out this window right now? I really do want to do this test!” You whined and looked over at the window that was right next to where you were sitting.

Akane had a prominent frown on his face, he knew you weren’t exactly mentally okay and you’re jokes were becoming more and more frequent

The three humans in the room turned away in disgust of how he took advantage of a poor fish and your pen, and turned the desk into a gruesome scene. ''Oh! (Y/n), your pen is dirty, allow me to clean it up for you!!'' The ghost boy passively aggressively 'offered'. At least you guys cleaned up the scene before anyone could notice.

• Funny thing was the 'crime scene' wasn't really a crime scene • you both just found a whole ton of supernaturals and…Akane's glasses? • You and Teru figured that the vice president might be in huge trouble, so what can two exorcists do? • Try to save him of course❤!

''Oh my!'' you dramatically gasped to get the supposed couple to see you and the tall blonde next to you. ''Are we… Interrupting something?'' The President questioned, making the couples identites be revealed. You figured out the girl was Aoi San and that they were having a moment, which lead you to teasing Akane about finally getting his girl.

You guys find an exit, and Teru told the squad to not look back. Later on, on this long walk, you overheard Akane and Aoi having such an awkward conversation, which reminded you of the first time you and Teru met each other. ''Aoi reminds me of someone~'' You teased Kou's older brother, causing him to have a noticeable rose tint all over his face. The sad thing is, you only felt dread when you didn't see the purple haired girl when you all made it home.

“Good morning, my Y/n! How was your night?” He wrapped himself around you as you organized paperworks at the student council room. “Were you thinking about me?” He asked playfully, wiggling his eyebrows.

You scoffed and chuckled. “Maybe.” He awed “You definitely did! Bet I was your knight in shining armor. And you were my damsel in distress.” Rolling your eyes, your mind immediately came up with an idea. You slightly leaned onto him as you looked up to meet a curious pair of eyes.

“Oh my knight in shining armor, please do help me, your damsel, in distress.” You added sarcasm to the last words. He grinned, now playing along. “Oh my lovely princess, what can I, your knight, aid you with?”

You handed Hanako a huge pile of papers and sat on your chair, filling out some paperwork. “Can you place them on the President’s desk?” You gave him a sweet yet smug smile. He groaned. “You baited me! Again!” He complained, pouting at you. You laughed, waving your hand. “You are going to help your damsel right? Well, off you go! I’ll give you a reward when you come back~”.

“Oh and greet Teru for me!” You exclaimed, giving him a kiss before continuing your work.

Hanako continued to frown as he fled towards the said president’s office. ‘I hate this.’ he grumbled to himself, before remembering he could teleport. He called out his haku-joudai and sent it to Teru’s office. It failed. “Huh?” He said confused. Then it dawned on him. “Right, that ‘School Prince’ placed a barrier. Great.” 

He continued to float towards the office with a grumpy face.

Once near the destination, Hanako put on a happy facade and quickly knocked the wall, knowing that electricity was flowing through the door. “Come in!” A smooth male voice said from the other side. “I would if you take out the barrier!” Hanako exclaimed back.

A woosh was heard before the President himself came out with a faux smile on his face. “Come in. Hanako.” He said the name with venom that Hanako immediately obliged. Once inside, Teru frowned and crossed his arms, watching the ghost’s every move. Hanako scoffed then smiled. “No need to be rude, jeez. I’m just here to give you the paperworks from Y/n. She said hi.”

The blond male sighed. “Just place them on my desk. I really have to tell her to bring it herself next time..” He muttered to himself.

Hanako teleported back to your office to see that no one was there, he looked around. Were you hiding? Where did you go? He went around the hallways trying to find you and call your name.

“Y/n? Y/nnnnn- where are you?” He whined. “I sent the papers to him as promised. WHERE IS MY KISS?!”

Hanako looked left and right for you in the hallways. Each second, getting more and more worried. His worries were changed to relief then annoyed. You were with a student, who was close to you as he chatted with you. The student waved and bid goodbye after he needed whatever he asked from you.

You stood there, going back to the office until you noticed Hanako in the hallway. You sheepishly smiled and held his hand undetectably, then went back to the office. “Who was that?” He asked, as soon as possible when the two of you were in the room. “It’s a student asking for help about something.” You answered. He crossed his arms. “Asking you on a date?”

“What- No! He was asking for help with his assignment. We’re classmates.” He let out an ‘oh’, his arms falling beside him. You sighed and slightly shook your head. “I’m not going to dump you for someone else, Hanako. I only have eyes for you.”

He immediately smiled and tackled you to a hug. “Awww, I knew you wouldn’t cheat on me!” You hugged him back, smiling as well “Of course I wouldn’t.”. As a reward for helping you, you gave him the long awaited kiss, which he immediately warmed up to. After a long moment, you thought it was time to let go, once you did, Hanako whined, the warmth gone.

You sat back at your desk and began to write down on another worksheet. “Ugh, you’re always writing something.” He pouted, his translucent body resting on the table trying to cover the paper. You paid no mind. “I have to. It’s my college application.”

He shot up. “C-college?” You nodded. “Y-Y/n- you don’t need to go! Don’t go. You’ll have everything here- you can live here, you can- Tsuchigomori-sensei will teach you! You don’t need to leave..”

“It’s my last year here, Hanako. But don’t worry. It’ll be a few months more before I leave. I’ll visit you too if that makes you happy.”

He sighed, a frown still in his face. “You have to promise me that, Wouldn’t want your oh-so-lovely boyfriend alone do you?” You shook your head smiling, you and Hanako intertwining pinkies to bound the promise.

“I promise.” Hanako’s lips turned upwards to a grin.

Time skip to after school. Hanako hugged you from behind. “Finally! We can be together.” His voice was cheery. You gave him an apologetic smile. “I can’t Hanako. I have to continue to fill out my college application-”

“It’s always ‘Paperwork, paperwork. I have to finish my forms!’” He impersonated your voice. “I just want to hang out with you, is that too much to ask?!”

“I-”

“I just want to be with you! Since the start! I wanted us to be close! I thought that maybe after we got together, we’ll be together and you won’t leave me. Isn’t that how relationships work?!” Tears threatened to fall from his eyes, while you watched him guiltily.

“Hanako I’m-” You reached for him but he slapped your hand away. He looked down. “I’m gonna get some fresh air. Give me time to cool off.” Before he could teleport away, he dared to look at you. Seeing the hurt and guilt in your eyes, he closed his eyes shut.

A moment after he left, you muttered his name. ‘I didn’t know this was affecting him that much.. I’m such a bad s/o..” You decided to do the form later and went to the bathroom, hoping to see Hanako there and apologize.

“Ah, Y/n-senpai!” Yashiro exclaimed, she stopped sweeping and noticed your sad expression. “Is everything alright? What’s wrong?”

You both sat on the cleaned floor, as you vented your feelings to Yashiro. She patted your shoulder for comfort as you sulked. “I’m sure you and Hanako-san will solve this problem soon. I know you both love each other so much.” She smiled, but her heart ached as she spoke.

“I guess.. But we’ve been a bit... We don’t hang out much anymore. I guess that’s mostly my fault because I’m always busy with work.”

“I’m sure he understands.”

The door opened to see Hanako. You quickly stood to your feet and tackled the ghost, muttering apologies. You felt Hanako slowly wrapping his arms around you, mentioning Yashiro and the mokkes to leave.

Once the door closed, he spoke up. “I’ve been a jerk to you too. You’re not the only one who’s regretting their decisions.” He stopped for a while, playing with the hem of your uniform. “Just please stay with me.”

“I will.”

After that argument, everything went back to normal. You continued to spend time with Hanako, and still managed to do your student council duties. With the help of Hanako, you managed to finish all your work for the time being.

But even after that, that doesn’t mean the other students won’t ask you for help.

“Why won’t they ask that school prince for help instead?” He waved his hand in front of the student, who was oblivious. “Maybe Teru’s busy. I’ll hang out with you later, Hana.” You muttered to Hanako.

“Did you say something?” The student looked at you from his paper, briefly pausing.

“Nope! Nothing.” You blurted out.

“Fine! I’ll hang out with Yashiro then.” Before you could bid him goodbye, he was out of your sight. You told the student to focus on his work while you thought about Hanako. ‘I hope I wasn’t too mean.’ You thought to yourself, brushing off the heavy feeling, as you told Hanako you’d hang out with him later.

You shook your head. “No need, I already finished all of them.” You turned your back, waving. “I have to go. You should go home Prez.”

You opened the door, expecting to be greeted by Hanako’s arms. Instead, the room was empty. No one was there. “Hanako?” You called, looking around. “Where are you?”. Looking out the window, you saw Hanako and Yashiro at the garden making flower crowns. You focused your eyes on Hanako, seeing him smile, flowers on his head, and having fun.

You smiled, going down to join them.

“You guys seem to be having fun.” You grinned. Yashiro’s eyes widened in surprise as she didn’t notice you. Hanako jolted, before smiling wider and pulling you beside him. “I made a flower crown for you!” He took a flower crown of your favorite flowers and gently placed them on your head.

“A crown fit for a queen.” You felt heat rush up your face, smiling widely that you can’t control it. “Thank you, my king.” You tackled him and filled his face with kisses. Hanako laughed and tried to return the affection.

Unbeknownst to the two of you, Yashiro sat there with her arms crossed. A frown on her face.

“What?” You said, staring in disbelief at the piles of paper in front of you. “I gave Akane a work off, as you said. But I’m really busy today so I can’t do this myself. Can you do it for me? Please.” You were one of the two people Teru would give work to. The other one is Akane, of course.

“I-” Looking at his eyes, he seemed a bit desperate. You sighed. “Fine.” His eyes shone brightly. “I knew I could count on you! See you!”

You started going back to your habits- not like you wanted to anyway. You didn’t have time for Hanako. He felt as if he was just thrown to the side as you continued drowning yourself in work.

Another person Hanako would go to was Yashiro. She wasn’t in the student council. She was free. She and Hanako met way longer than you and him. She was the one he could trust when you weren’t there.

As he hung out with Yashiro, going on adventures and missions, you were at school stressing yourself out. You yearned to at least rest with Hanako and cuddle with him. The thought briefly calmed you.

“Yashiro! Watch out!” Hanako yelled as a monster began to raise its weapon. Before it swung, Hanako managed to pull Yashiro to his chest as he threw the knife to the enemy’s weak point. He sighed in relief, looking at the girl.

“Are you alright?” He asked, looking for injuries. She nodded, heart beating fast either from adrenaline or by how close she was to him. “That was fun!” He exclaimed. “Too bad Kou and Y/n weren't here.. Just you and me.” Yashiro muttered the last part of the sentence because she felt flustered.

“Yeah. I know Y/n would’ve liked being here..”

“Hey! We’re here. Don’t be sad. We can still have fun!” Yashiro’s words seemed to cheer Hanako.

Days turned to weeks. You finally noticed that Hanako slowly stopped coming to visit you. This was the last month before school ends and you wanted to hang out with your boyfriend before you have to enroll in college.

‘I don’t think I have seen Hanako for so long. Is he alright?’ You muttered a curse under your breath for being too absorbed in finishing everything and not caring for your boyfriend’s wellbeing.

You decided to visit Hanako and plan to spend your last moments before graduation.

“Hey Hanako. Are you and Y/n still dating?” Yashiro blurted out of the blue. Then, her eyes widened, thinking Hanako might’ve thought the wrong idea. “W-well. I thought of it because I haven’t seen Y/n with you. So I assumed you both broke up.”

“We haven’t broken up..” He answered. “But we haven’t been together either. I don’t know what phase of the relationship me and Y/n are.. She keeps ignoring me.” Hanako frowned, trying to remember anything you and him had done over the past few weeks.

“You’re such a great guy, Hanako.” Her confidence seemed to skyrocket. “When we go on adventures together, with or without Kou and Y/n, you’re the one who keeps us safe and the one who makes us happy.” Yashiro smiled, as a blush spread across her face. “If we’re together, I’d...“ She stopped for a brief moment, intertwining their fingers and staring at his eyes with something he was familiar with. The same look you gave Hanako when you first started dating.

“I’d stay with you as long as I can.” She muttered sheepishly. His eyes only widened. His heart palpitating. He sat still when she slowly leaned onto him, chests touching, nose brushing each other.

With all the confidence and bravery Yashiro had, she closed in the distance she and Hanako had left. Hanako’s breath hitched when they kissed. But he soon melted into it as he craved for the feeling you couldn’t fill no longer.

Hanako tilted his head to deepen the kiss. Yashiro let go of his hands and sat on his lap, her hands on his shoulders to support herself.

For Yashiro, she thought her feelings were reciprocated. That Hanako had loved her while they were on their adventure.

For Hanako, he wasn’t thinking about Yashiro kissing him. He loved the attention and affection she gave him. But he was imagining you making out with him instead of Yashiro. 

Too absorbed making out, they failed to notice a figure on the door watching. You clenched your uniform as your heart pounded crazy. Tears quickly blurred your vision as it fell down your cheeks. “I can’t believe you..” You sobbed. “You cheater!”

Your loud voice seemed to break the two’s moment. When he noticed you, he pushed Yashiro off him, going his way to you in panic.

“Y/n, It’s not what it looks like! She kissed me!" He tried to hold your arm, only for you to yank your arm away from him. “And you kissed back!?” You exclaimed. “I can’t believe you!”

“Y/n I was thinking of you that whole time! I swear.” You scoffed at his excuse, roughly wiping your tears. “And yet you kissed her? Hanako, what’s wrong with you?” You cried out. Yashiro quickly stood up and stayed there sheepishly, feeling guilty.

“I love you Y/n, you know that! It’s just because you’ve been so busy with everything that we can’t hang out anymore. My heart hurts because of it!” He gripped his clothes where his heart was located to show how hurt he is. 

You were conflicted if it was your fault that this relationship didn’t work, but you told yourself that Hanako had cheated behind your back, anger quickly clouded your emotions. “Then why don’t you crawl to Yashiro and make yourself feel better?! Huh? You seem to like her more!” 

Yashiro flinched when her name was called. Hanako became irritated. “Fine! I love Yashiro too. There, I said it! Leave her out of this.” Your heart broke. “Maybe I’ve developed feelings when you weren’t with me-” You slapped him, not wanting to hear another word. Hanako hissed out in pain as you screamed at him. “Don’t pin the blame on me!” You choked a sob, tears became uncontrollable as it continued to pour down your cheeks. 

“You were the one who got feelings. If you do love me, you won’t fall in love with any other girl. I trusted you, Hanako.” You clenched your fist, looking away from him to something else. “Maybe we aren’t meant to be.”

He froze. Hanako wanted to move, to hug you and tell you to not leave him, that he still loves you, but his body was stunned. He was forced to watch as you walked away from his life.

Yashiro reached out a hand for the heart broken ghost, but pulled back. “Hanako, I-”

“Leave me alone. Get out.” His shaky, despaired tone didn’t help much for Yashiro to leave. She wanted to comfort Hanako from the breakup she had caused. When Yashiro didn’t respond, Hanako turned to her, showing his teary eyes and irritated expression. “I don’t want you here, I said get out.”

Without another word, Yashiro obeyed him. She walked to an empty corridor and leaned on the wall, sliding down to the floor. “What have I done?”
