RPThreadTracker Will Be Offline for Maintenance - Saturday Aug 13, 2022 4:30pm Central

Hello, Tracker users! 

Pretty much what it says in the title - RPTT will be temporarily offline for maintenance starting at 4:30pm US Central on August 13th. The maintenance in question shouldn’t take more than an hour.

The changes being made shouldn’t result in any major user experience differences (although a few things have been tweaked and refined); however, this update is primarily a lot of under-the-hood optimizations and code changes that will make further updates easier going forward.

As always, please send an ask to @tblrthreadtracker or an email to rosalind@blackjack-software.com if you have any questions, or suggestions for further updates and improvements to the site. You can also create bug reports or feature suggestions directly at https://github.com/blackjackkent/RPThreadTrackerV3.FrontEnd/issues . Do *not* try to contact me using the Messenger feature; odds are I will not see it.

Hello! RPThreadTracker mun here; the tracker unfortunately cannot track open starters. Tumblr doesn’t share enough information to distinguish each “branch” of the thread. You’ll have to move each into its own thread in order to track it. (Also, to answer cxreforbes’ comment – you *can* track starters that don’t have any posts yet, if you want; you just have to leave the post ID blank until you’re ready/able to add a post ID from your blog.) Hope this helps! :)

RPThreadTracker Upgrade Update

Hey, everyone –

Thanks so much for your patience during the RPThreadTrackerV3 upgrade process. I’m just about finished transitioning to the new site and am doing some final tests to make sure everything looks good.

Hi! First off, I really love rpthreadtracker and it is almost LITERALLY a lifesaver. Thank you so much for everything you do for us rpers! But on one of the last updates, the tags became visible, which is cool and useful sometimes, but also makes the whole page a lot longer and harder to see in sort of a list-form, if that makes sense. Is there any way to toggle the tag view? Thank you again!!

Hello! Yes, I have big plans to do a rework of how a lot of the site works in the coming months -- particularly improving the tag system and making the thread and public views more customizable. I’ve posted about this a bit on the tracker news blog at @tblrthreadtracker, so you can keep an eye out for announcements there. :)
