1. describe your tc's physical appearance.

🪞: G's a kind of short man, maybe 160cm or 165cm, he's about my Height. I don't know how to explain his physical type, I think he has the typical "dad's body". His hair, omg his hair is perfect, it's short and Straight and has this color mix that reminds me of salt and pepper. Also, he has the most beautiful eyes in the world. They're green, in the sun they get a golden yellowish and in the dark they get a more greenish blue tone.

2. what was the first thing you've ever said to your tc?

🪞: I giggled 'cause the first thing he said to me was that I was such a quiet girl. The second thing was "I also like the Beatles" (he asked me if I liked them, actually I hate them)

3. is your to single or taken? or are you unsure? and are you single or taken?

🪞: G is taken (married) but I'm not sure if he's happy in this relationship at all... When I met him I was kind of dating a boy, but I ended our relationship 'cause I saw that I didn't truly like the boy and didn't want to hurt his feelings (now he's an asshole to me lol), so I'm actually single, UGHHH.

4. is your to more of the athletic type, the nerdy type or the artsy type?

🪞: At first I thought he was just a nerdy and artistic (musician type) man, but I saw him playing volleyball and I can tell y'all, the way he punched that fricking ball, I wish that shit was me

🪞: He was soooo extrovert and I'm pretty introvert, even if I like to talk A LOT with my friends and love company and everything about socialize, it's very hard for me 'cause of some of my life events so I think he would bully me (he actually told us the kind of guy he was when he was younger so I'm pretty sure he would be my bully).

🪞: For sure! I mean, I have a lot of options to teach because he teaches me a lot of subjects but I would love to help him give a science politics class 🥹

When he ignores my opinions about some kind of project or when he was just so insensitive when I literally told him the most significant thing in my life and that made me cry a lot and I told him I never talked about it with anyone, even w my family and he just stood there like I was only talking bullshit but when one of my friends cried cause she lost a SOCCER GAME he fucking HUGGED HER 👹👹

12. does your to have any past jobs that you know of, before becoming a teacher?

🪞: He was a tour guide, a music journalist and did something like analyzing music shows.

🪞: He has a son (he told everyone that it was an unwanted kid and he never wanted to be a dad but when his kid or his wife is near he acts like he's soooo proud, idk what to think about it) and he has an older brother.

🪞: Yes, I have no option ahaha

🪞: Yup, we have parents and teachers council. Also, my father was a teacher where I study and my TC was one of his friends, he actually liked to chat w my father a lot, maybe my own father was his father figure lol (even if my father is like, one year older than him). When he met my mother he came to tell me this like a dog when it sees their owner.

🪞: Nope, thanks god

🪞: I don't think so. But I would be so sad and mad at the same time. Silent treatment probably would be what I would do 'cause that's what hurts me, but I wouldn't talk w him, even if it was for school purposes.

🪞: He enjoy to listen to music (don't play anything, but I do play piano, bass, guitar and I sing), he liked to read (me too ahaha), go out to bars (even if he don't drink, but he only that the ones that have shows)

🪞: I never made a call w him. We just text each other sometimes. The first time he texted me was to thank me for going to his class.

🪞: by his first name. Where I live it's kind of weird to call them by their last name, it's something very particular. But when I talk to him I call him only teacher and mister, I feel it's too intimate to call him by his name ahaha, he never gave me that freedom.

"Banks that profit from climate chaos invent new greenwash every year, but we have the receipts that show how much money they put into fossil fuels," said one report author.

The world's 60 biggest banks funded fossil fuels to the tune of $6.9 trillion in the eight years following the Paris agreement.

That's the conclusion of the 15th annual Banking on Climate Chaos report, which was published Monday and also found that the financial institutions lavished $705 billion on oil, gas, and coal in 2023—the hottest year on record.

"Financiers and investors of fossil fuels continue to light the flame of the climate crisis," Tom BK Goldtooth, report co-author and executive director of the Indigenous Environmental Network, said in a statement. "Paired with generations of colonialism, the fossil fuel industry and banking institutions' investment in false solutions create unlivable conditions for all living relatives and humanity on Mother Earth."

U.S. financial giants JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, and Bank of America topped the "dirty dozen" list of the banks that gave the most to fossil fuels since 2016, at $430.9 billion, $396.3 billion, and $333.2 billion respectively. In 2023, U.S. banks provided 30% of total fossil fuel finance, the largest share of any country. JPMorgan also topped the 2023 list at $40.88 billion, with Japanese bank Mizuho Financial overtaking the No. 2 spot with $37.04 billion, and Bank of America remaining in third place with $33.68 billion.

"The science shows that over half of fossil fuels in existing fields and mines must stay underground to limit global warming to 1.5°C, and our Big Oil Reality Check analysis finds that none of the major oil and gas companies we analyze plan to do anything even close to what is needed to hold global warming to 1.5°C," report-co-author David Tong, the global industry campaign manager at Oil Change International, said in a statement. "By injecting a staggering $70[5] billion into fossil fuel financing in 2023 alone, the world's largest banks fund the climate chaos fossil fuel companies wreck on communities worldwide."

The report also tracks how much the financial institutions spent on companies that had fossil fuel expansion plans, according to the Global Oil and Gas Exit List and the Global Coal Exit List. The banks spent $3.3 trillion since 2016 and $347.5 billion in 2023 alone on these companies, or nearly half of total expenditures. Report co-author April Merleaux, research and policy manager at Rainforest Action Network, called the 2023 expansion finance figure "dangerous and inconsistent with real climate commitments."

Overall, Citibank has spent the most on fossil fuel expansion since 2016 at $204 billion, while JPMorgan was the top funder of expansion in 2023 with $19.3 billion.

"As this report is worth nothing if it doesn't turn into action, we call on the banks to finally become fossil free banks, and on the wider climate justice movement to use this data to mobilize for a fossil free banking world."

The researchers also looked at what fossil fuel companies and activities the banks were financing. All told, they considered funding to 4,228 companies. Clients with major expansion plans in 2023 included the pipeline companies Enbridge, TC Energy Corp, and Sempra as well as NextDecade Corp and Rio Grande Valley LNG, which are developing new liquefied natural gas (LNG) export capacity.

Fossil fuel financing did decrease in 2023, down from $778.7 billion in 2022.

"The trend of decreased financing from traditional banks to fossil fuel companies is good news, tempered by the reality that financing for fossil fuel expansion should be zero," the report authors wrote. "But there is little evidence that the decline is driven by voluntary commitments by the banks, especially given the policy rollbacks among major banks."

Indeed, in 2023, Bank of America rolled back commitments to not fund Arctic drilling, thermal coal, or coal-fired plants. Instead, the report authors suggested the downturn in finance was due to external economic and geopolitical factors.

"Unless banks take action to rule out finance for such clients, the decline may not be permanent," they warned.

When it came to the funding of individual high-risk fossil fuel activities, funding for overall expansion, fracking, tar sands, coal- and gas-power plants, and Amazon, Arctic, and deepwater oil and gas all declined. At the same time, funding for metallurgical coal, coal mining, and methane LNG all increased, with LNG funding rising from $116 billion in 2022 to $121 billion in 2023.

"In a year with record climate impacts, I am shocked to see financing for any category of fossil fuels increase. And yet in 2023 this report shows a big increase in financing to companies developing methane gas terminals and related infrastructure," Merleaux said. "Banks should be listening to those on the frontlines and stepping away from these projects."

This year the report—which is a collaboration between Rainforest Action Network; BankTrack; the Center for Energy, Ecology, and Development; Indigenous Environmental Network; Oil Change International; Reclaim Finance; Sierra Club; and Urgewald— features updated methodology that primary sources revealing the role of banks in corporate financial deals. The banks were given a chance to review the data and respond.

"Wall Street's top concern is its profit. Our top concerns are the climate and human rights. Banks that profit from climate chaos invent new greenwash every year, but we have the receipts that show how much money they put into fossil fuels," Merleaux said. "Our new methodology uncovers previously unreported details on banks' support for fossil fuels and gives campaigners new tools to hold them accountable."

Accountability is the report's main goal, according to co-author Diogo Silva, who leads the banks and climate campaign at BankTrack.

"As this report is worth nothing if it doesn't turn into action, we call on the banks to finally become fossil free banks, and on the wider climate justice movement to use this data to mobilize for a fossil free banking world," Silva said. "Later might just be too late. Fossil banks, no thanks!"

even if watching top gun will give you '80s hives i still must recommend the original to you even if only for you to meet goose bradshaw. he is the epitome of Too Good For This World So He Has To Die and only sociopaths do not love him

iceman was indeed val kilmer and mav's homoerotic rival! he and mav butted heads A LOT over the fact that mav flew very dangerously and unconventionally which put his classmates at risk. most of the iconic lines in the film stem from their arguments

in the end they overcame their differences after the "layton mission," where they fought off five enemy planes by themselves. they became top gun legends for this and also shared a gay handshake and a line about being each other's valentines after the layton mission. love wins!

despite mav now being a top gun legend, by the time tgm takes place ice is still one of the only guys in the navy who likes mav despite how he flies

penny (jennifer connelly's character) was created for tgm but they got the idea for her character from an offhand remark in the first film! this isn't important to know but i think it's neat

Hello, there. My name is Kacey. I'm a writer of the fantasy genre, with the occasional excursion into the genres of science-fiction and dystopia (and a planned jaunt into something that might be best described as post-apocalyptic cyberpunk) and I love to write about found family, grief, LGBTQ+ characters, and vulnerability.

I am mostly SFW and write all forms of abuse, trauma, mental illness occasionally graphic violence, and death in many forms (illness, murder etc) so just be aware of that. Tropes you will never find in my writing include: The White Saviour, and Bury Your Gays. There are probably others that I can’t think of right now, but it’s hard to eliminate more, since I’ll use things as they make sense for the narrative and really can’t say I’ll never write them.

In my humble opinion, my best work I've posted is probably “Taken” - which is just a teaser for a much larger project - I feel like it sets the scene well for getting the rest of the story underway. An honourable mention goes to: my longest complete fanfiction for a relatively obscure 20+ year old fandom - It’s probably not the the best technically, but I put a lot of myself into it and I loved the result; I still go back in and scour it for typos to make sure I keep it as polished as I can in the event that anyone stumbles across it. Also, my most recent “Best” writing is not available for public consumption, so out of everything available, I’m sharing “Taken” because I can Some of my all-time favourite characters I've made are Maggie Blackwill, Adair Rios, and Marmaduke File, with a special mention to Karn because I started writing with him again last year after over a decade ignoring him and my god how I have missed the child.

Something I'd love for you to know about my writing that isn't listed in this game is that I overpopulate my worlds - almost ANY of my characters could be the protagonist of the story when viewed through the right lens, which is why I will occasionally wax poetic about seemingly minor characters. Also I ramble a lot in the tags of tumblr posts about my characters and will drop fun random facts in there for anyone reading them.

Organizações Mortais e Sobrenaturais

O Rio de Janeiro dos anos 80 é uma cidade onde o sobrenatural e o mundano se entrelaçam de maneira caótica e perigosa. Por trás do brilho da vida noturna e da exuberância tropical, o submundo da cidade fervilha de organizações mortais e criaturas sobrenaturais, todas com suas próprias agendas, segredos e ambições. As facções criminosas, os cultos religiosos e místicos, bem como as criaturas além dos vampiros, têm seus papéis nas sombras do Rio, e cada um desses elementos representa um perigo ou uma oportunidade para os imortais que caminham entre os vivos.

Facções Criminosas e Gangues

Nos becos e vielas da cidade, onde o controle do Estado é frágil e o desespero é constante, facções criminosas e gangues impõem sua própria lei. Embora muitos vejam esses grupos apenas como mortais desesperados tentando sobreviver, os vampiros entendem que essas facções podem ser tanto aliadas úteis quanto adversários perigosos. O crime organizado no Rio, especialmente nas favelas e na Zona Norte, é uma força com a qual até os vampiros devem lidar.

Comando Vermelho (CV) Durante os anos 80, o Comando Vermelho emergiu como uma das mais poderosas facções criminosas do Rio de Janeiro. Nas favelas, eles controlam o tráfico de drogas e armas, além de exercer uma influência quase total sobre a população local. O CV mantém uma presença forte no Complexo do Alemão, e sua organização hierárquica e militarizada oferece oportunidades para vampiros que desejam manipular os recursos mortais da cidade. Os Nosferatu, em particular, são conhecidos por cultivar alianças com líderes do CV, trocando informações e favores em troca de proteção ou acesso a territórios estratégicos.

Terceiro Comando (TC) O Terceiro Comando é uma facção rival ao Comando Vermelho, e seus conflitos criam zonas de guerra nas favelas do Rio. Onde há caos, há oportunidades, e vampiros do Sabá frequentemente se infiltram nesses conflitos, fomentando a violência para enfraquecer a Camarilla e expandir seus domínios. O controle das gangues oferece acesso a manadas de mortais e controle sobre a economia subterrânea da cidade, algo que tanto os vampiros anarquistas quanto os Nosferatu sabem aproveitar.

Milícias Na periferia da cidade, especialmente nas áreas em que o Estado é quase inexistente, surgem as milícias. Grupos paramilitares formados por policiais corruptos e ex-militares controlam o fornecimento de serviços básicos, como eletricidade e segurança, em troca de dinheiro e poder. Vampiros dos clãs Brujah e Ventrue frequentemente se envolvem com as milícias, seja como forma de controle social ou para garantir que certos territórios sejam mantidos fora do alcance de seus rivais.

Grupos Religiosos e Cultos Místicos

A espiritualidade é uma força poderosa no Rio de Janeiro, e os vampiros têm uma relação ambígua com os grupos religiosos que permeiam a cidade. Se, por um lado, esses grupos representam uma ameaça para a Máscara, por outro, oferecem oportunidades de controle e manipulação.

Umbanda e Candomblé As religiões afro-brasileiras, como a umbanda e o candomblé, têm uma presença significativa no Rio de Janeiro. Seus terreiros são mais do que apenas locais de culto; são pontos de poder espiritual que muitos vampiros, especialmente os Tremere, buscam compreender e, em alguns casos, controlar. No entanto, esses grupos também são extremamente perigosos para os vampiros, pois os praticantes experientes dessas religiões têm o poder de canalizar forças espirituais que podem ferir ou até destruir imortais. O contato entre os vampiros e essas religiões é cheio de desconfiança e respeito mútuo, com alguns vampiros utilizando o candomblé como uma forma de proteção mágica ou para alianças estratégicas com os líderes religiosos.

Igreja Católica e Grupos Evangélicos A Igreja Católica tem raízes profundas no Brasil, e no Rio dos anos 80, a fé é uma força significativa. Embora muitos vampiros vejam a Igreja como uma instituição arcaica e inofensiva, alguns dentro da hierarquia eclesiástica estão cientes da existência de vampiros e outras criaturas sobrenaturais. Padres exorcistas e ordens religiosas secretas, como os Inquisidores, caçam vampiros, buscando erradicar o mal das ruas da cidade. Nos anos 80, os grupos evangélicos começam a crescer, trazendo consigo uma energia fervorosa e missionária. Embora ainda não sejam tão poderosos quanto se tornariam nas décadas seguintes, esses grupos representam uma força emergente que, eventualmente, pode se tornar um obstáculo para os vampiros, especialmente porque suas práticas religiosas podem ocasionalmente entrar em conflito direto com as criaturas da noite.

Cultos Místicos e Esotéricos O Rio também é um caldeirão de cultos esotéricos e místicos. Nos becos escondidos da cidade e nas mansões isoladas das elites, cultos ocultistas operam nas sombras, buscando o poder sobrenatural. Muitos desses cultos são liderados por mortais que obtiveram conhecimento proibido, e alguns fazem pactos com vampiros ou outras criaturas sobrenaturais em troca de favores. O clã Tremere, em particular, se infiltra nesses círculos, usando-os como laboratórios para seus experimentos arcanos. No entanto, os vampiros devem ser cautelosos, pois alguns desses cultos podem ter acesso a poderes que estão além de sua compreensão.

Outras Criaturas Sobrenaturais

Embora os vampiros sejam os senhores das sombras, eles não estão sozinhos no Rio de Janeiro. Outras criaturas sobrenaturais também habitam a cidade, muitas vezes competindo por território ou simplesmente existindo em paralelo aos vampiros, com seus próprios códigos e segredos.

Lobisomens (Garou) O Pão de Açúcar, o Corcovado e as florestas da Tijuca não são apenas refúgios para os Gangrel; essas regiões são territórios sagrados para os Garou, os lobisomens que veem a si mesmos como os verdadeiros guardiões da natureza. Eles protegem as terras selvagens contra a corrupção dos vampiros e outras forças destrutivas. Para os vampiros da Camarilla, os lobisomens representam um perigo constante. Enfrentar um Garou em combate é um risco mortal, e muitos vampiros preferem evitar as regiões controladas por essas criaturas. Durante os anos 80, o aumento da urbanização e da devastação ambiental cria tensões ainda maiores entre vampiros e lobisomens. As batalhas entre essas duas espécies são brutais, e os vampiros sabem que, se provocarem demais, os Garou podem retaliar de maneiras imprevisíveis e devastadoras.

Magos (Despertos) Além dos lobisomens, os Magos Despertos também percorrem as ruas e becos do Rio. Eles são mortais com a capacidade de manipular a realidade através de sua força de vontade e compreensão das leis do universo. Para os vampiros, os magos representam tanto uma ameaça quanto uma oportunidade. Seus poderes são formidáveis, e muitos clãs tentam evitar conflitos diretos com eles. No entanto, alianças temporárias podem ser formadas, especialmente com os Tremere, que compartilham do interesse pela manipulação arcana. As Tradições Místicas, como os Oradores dos Sonhos e os Filhos do Éter, têm uma presença no Rio, especialmente em locais como Santa Teresa e Lapa, onde a boemia e o experimentalismo cultural são mais aceitos. Esses magos usam seus poderes para explorar novas formas de arte e espiritualidade, e alguns até se aliam aos Toreador em projetos secretos que misturam magia e arte.

Wraiths (Espíritos) A morte no Rio de Janeiro, especialmente nos anos 80, é abundante. Violência, pobreza e doenças assombram as ruas, e isso cria uma população crescente de Wraiths, espíritos dos mortos que ficam presos entre o mundo dos vivos e o além. Eles habitam os lugares mais antigos e sombrios da cidade, como o Cemitério do Caju e as ruínas históricas ao redor do Centro. Os vampiros, particularmente os Giovanni e os Nosferatu, muitas vezes lidam com esses espíritos, seja para obter informações, seja para negociar favores. No entanto, lidar com os Wraiths é uma tarefa perigosa, pois eles são imprevisíveis e muitas vezes vingativos, desejando trazer caos ao mundo dos vivos. O desequilíbrio espiritual do Rio, com seus ciclos de morte e renascimento constantes, torna a cidade um terreno fértil para esses seres inquietos.

Conclusão

O Rio de Janeiro dos anos 80 é muito mais do que uma cidade de mortais e vampiros. Sua paisagem espiritual e sobrenatural é rica e perigosa, onde facções criminosas mortais, cultos místicos e outras criaturas sobrenaturais disputam espaço, poder e sobrevivência.

Câmara adjudica construção de ponte sobre o rio Lima por 20,6 milhões

A maioria PS na Câmara de Viana do Castelo aprovou hoje a adjudicação, por mais de 20,6 milhões de euros, da construção da quarta ponte sobre o rio Lima que terá de estar concluída até dezembro de 2025.

Ocontrato de adjudicação, aprovado em reunião extraordinária do executivo municipal, e que recolheu os votos contra do CDS-PP e a abstenção do PSD, CDU e do vereador Eduardo Teixeira, vai ser submetido ao visto do Tribunal de Contas (TC).

No final da sessão camarária, questionado pelos jornalistas, o presidente da câmara, Luís Nobre, referiu que "normalmente o TC responde em 30 dias", mas admitiu que "o visto pode não chegar logo após a primeira submissão".

"Há situações em que o TC pede esclarecimentos, o que pode alagar o prazo da decisão final (...). O contrato que temos com a Comissão de Coordenação e Desenvolvimento Regional do Norte (CCDR-N) é que a obra esteja concluída em dezembro de 2025, existindo a possibilidade de termos mais três meses, primeiro trimestre de 2026. Mas é no primeiro calendário que temos estado a trabalhar", explicou.

De acordo com a minuta do contrato hoje aprovada, a empreitada, financiada pelo Plano de Recuperação e Resiliência (PRR), foi adjudicada à empresa Alberto Couto Alves, SA e, terá um prazo de execução de 510 dias.

A nova ponte, entre a Estrada Nacional (EN) 203, na freguesia de Deocriste, e a EN 202, em Nogueira, terá uma extensão total aproximada de 1,95 quilómetros.

A vereadora do CDS-PP, Ilda Araújo Novo, justificou o voto contra por considerar que "não se afigura necessária e imprescindível a construção da ponte para satisfazer as necessidades de uma fábrica [DS Smith] e pela inegável afetação ambiental da paisagem e redução da qualidade de vida das populações nas proximidades".

O vereador do PSD, Paulo Vale, que se absteve, referiu não estar em questão o investimento, mas as questões técnicas do procedimento.

"O relatório do investimento não está à prova de bala para acautelar a contestação dos concorrentes preteridos [no concurso público internacional]", referiu Paulo Vale.

A vereadora da CDU, Cláudia Marinho, reafirmou a abstenção ao projeto porque a ponte não é necessária e pelo impacto ambiental que vai causar.

O vereador Eduardo Teixeira alegou "questões técnicas" para se abster, apesar de estar de acordo com o investimento.

O presidente da câmara, Luís Nobre, alegou que a construção da quarta travessia "não é para responder às necessidades da fábrica, mas aos munícipes", bem como "para mitigar o impacto ambiental causado pela mobilidade nas Estradas Nacionais (EN) 202 e 203".

No entanto, o autarca socialista referiu que uma fábrica que está no concelho há 50 anos e está a investir 152 milhões de euros" não pode ser encarada como uma "questão menor".

"O equilíbrio no desenvolvimento do concelho é considerado diferenciador, nacional e internacionalmente", disse.

Para Luís Nobre, seria "criminoso" não aproveitar a "oportunidade de financiamento" da empreitada.

"Nunca tivemos um financiamento desta dimensão, cerca de 99%, no concelho", realçou.

A realização da empreitada prevê a utilização de 45.347 metros quadrados de solo integrado na Rede Ecológica Nacional (REN), nos sistemas de sapais, zonas húmidas, zonas ameaçadas pelas cheias, estuários e leitos de cursos de água, algumas das quais sobrepostas --- dos quais 21.505 metros quadrados serão impermeabilizados".

De acordo com "um parecer da CCDR-N, o projeto é compatível com o PDM de Viana do Castelo e, face à sua natureza, não existe alternativa de localização que não afete solos integrados em REN".

A construção da nova ponte foi aprovada em reunião extraordinária da Câmara de Viana do Castelo em 05 de janeiro, pela maioria PS, tendo visto reconhecida, pelo anterior Governo PS, como ação de relevante interesse público para viabilizar a sua construção em áreas de REN.
