My extent of care for stella is only because she's played by ruby rose, who's really hot and covered in tattoos!

Also as someone who has watched batwoman and did enjoy it, ruby rose is not a great actor, she's good at casual scenes where she's hanging out with other characters but whenever I've seen her do an emotional scene, it breaks the illusion for me and just makes me think, now that wasn't very good now was it..

The stella and piper thing, kinda did do it for me at first, (cause again, ruby rose, hot, covered in tattoos) but i still found it annoying/ not in character for piper to develop "feelings" for stella this fast, while being with alex. The show made it seems like piper has always been and will always be in love with alex, but it took like two seconds of alex being paranoid and distraught for piper to start liking stella (again i get it, ruby ross, hot, covered in tattoos and aussie, but goddamn piper!!)

Also I'm pro piper getting revenge for getting stolen from!

and its incredible that swsh handled the villain teams so bad because sumo and usum did it SO. WELL. Like we can gather that Aether is bad because of the intro sequence with Lillie taking Nebby. We won't have any first-hand experience with them for a while, but when we see those outfits again, when we get invited to the Aether Foundation, we *know* there's something up with them. In the meantime, Team Skull is actively causing trouble at a lowgrade level. Like, yeah its shown that a lot of people don't pay attention to the grunts, but they're still vausing problems, anD THEY'VE LITERALLY TAKEN OVER AN ENTIRE CITY. Not to mention when it's revealed Guzma is helping the Aether Foundation, he's actively helping this batshit foundation with introducing a hostile and invasive species to the world while *also committing horrendous acts against humanity).

Sumo did it so good that in Usum when the Ultra Recon Squad showed up, I was so suspicious of them (and still am!).

Even though it was a very quick scene, I loved when Piper said ‘We have a wedding to plan’. Alex seemed like she was in a mixture of happiness, surprise and almost in a state of disbelief that this was actually happening. That they were actually engaged. She had to stop and take a deep breath before she could reply ‘in 4 years...when I get out’. It was a sweet scene and really proved how much Piper had grown and how into their relationship she really is.

I completely agree :) Just look at Alex’s face here....Have you ever seen that look on her face before? It's like she was mentally pinching herself in disbelief :)

About the PR thing, didn't Wes Vause team up with ML's PR lady to form a new PR company a while back, with Blake as his first client? I can't think of her name. It's like a weird name starting with E or something. Can Wes really be trusted, since he used to work for ML and is now partners with her PR person? Seems sus to me. I hope he is actually loyal to Blake and doesn't share info, but from the little I have seen of him, I don't trust him much. Also about ML's copycat addiction, after she released a song last year, someone in Blake's tag on twitter said that it resembled We Can Reach the Stars. Can anyone confirm that is true? I don't remember the name of the song, have never heard one of her songs and I'm not about to start. If true though, that would be the ultimate psycho move - always trying to leech off others ideas. It reminds me of the interview back in 2010 with CMT when Blake said that he had written Delilah and when ML came back and heard it, she tried to weasel her way into the writer's credits, and I was so happy when he stood firm and didn't give her writing credit, especially since he wrote it completely by himself and she had NOTHING to do with it. Can you believe a person would do that? I heard that Morgan Wallen said the same thing about ML, that she got her friend Nicole Gallyon to get her into a writing session with them so she could add a word and get writing credit on one of his songs. Anyway, here is the excerpt from Blake's interview. I am so proud of him for standing his ground and not letting her manipulate him. I just wish he had done the same for The House That Built Me (her fake tears in the truck while they listened to it - cuz she knows what a softy he is) and Over You (her rushing him to decide about it since her album was coming out - like I know it's about your dead brother, but my album is coming out so I need to know now if I can put it on there, like wut? If he hadn't decided by that point on his own to give it to her, she should have just let it go instead of forcing him to decide just for her own benefit.)

What was Miranda’s reaction when she heard “Delilah”?

Miranda’s first reaction was to weasel her way onto the song as a writer. She heard the song just a few hours after I wrote it. I wrote it very quickly one day about the fact that her dog was ignoring me when I was supposed to be babysitting it... I’ve joked before that if her dog is in the highway and I’m right there next to it and a semi is coming, I know who she’s going to save. It’s going to be her dog. She loves the song, but I’m the only writer on it.

Also, I forgot to mention, how sad is it that B knew that ML cared more about her DOG than him?????? makes me wanna cry. There is truth in every one of his jokes. Once when he was interviewed after 2011, they asked him if ML would be a good mother, and he said that if she treats the kid like she treats her dogs, then the kid will be golden...i remember thinking what a weird thing to say...like does she treat him so badly that he can't even use that as an example for how she would treat a kid?

Job Hunting In The Zombie Apocalypse

Last night I dreamt that there was a zombie apocalypse in full swing (not my fault this time!) It wasn’t like in the movies where everywhere was uniformly fucked, it was more like the current global pandemic situation - wealthy people/areas were less affected, almost life as usual - we’d see heavily armed trucks full of fresh food go into the heavily fortified CBD/nice private housing estates, and occasionally we’d hear on the radio or see a week-old paper or something, about the stock prices of XYZ company rising or whatever - but the rest of SG was basically like Season 2 of the Walking Dead. No word on what the situation was in the rest of the world. I knew the Causeway was for sure closed, but apart from that - I expect that the rest of the world was in a similar situation, since those day traders would have to have someone to trade with. 

I lived in a safe camp which was a repurposed schoolhouse, like one of those really old one-storey schoolhouses built back in the early days of independence. A few of the OITNB cast also lived there, for some reason (Nichols, Morello, Vause), as well as that guy from The Promised Neverland (spoilers!) who reminds me of Seth except that he’s missing an arm instead of an eye. Lucas, I think he’s called. Then there were a bunch of other people whom I didn’t know, mostly kids to 20+ year olds. Lucas was the only one over 30, I think, and he was the leader and the Team Dad. Also the only one with his moral compass still intact through the whole fiasco. We were trying to rescue as many people as possible so like - space for growing crops was rapidly shrinking, and food and medical supplies were being consumed faster. I wanted to go steal stuff from the rich people’s warehouses or supply trucks, because COME ON, we’ve got kids under 10 in here who are barely meeting the caloric requirements of a cat, and those fuckers out there are hoarding daikon radishes and lettuce just because they want to have decoration with their sushi?! And are just going to throw it away after?! They can damn well eat their sushi on normal plates and spare us the lettuce! But Lucas was all “No, our war is with the zombies, not the other humans. We must not pick a fight with our own.” 

So that’s how I ended up job-hunting. It transpired that I was the only one at my camp who had a university education, so it was decided that I should try to get a job in the CBD in order to legally buy food and medical supplies. We managed to boot up a computer in the school’s com lab and I typed out a resume on - miraculously, the Microsoft Word license was still intact ._. Which I then started constantly spamming to any job opening I could find on the lousy camp internet. 

The first position I heard back from was with a game development/animation company, weirdly enough. We somehow scrounged up a half-decent outfit for me and I went to interview. The journey from camp to CBD was fucking perilous, and Nichols and Morello died. Even when I reached the gates it took an insane amount of convincing for the guards to let me in. Finally, when I reached the company - wow. They were living the high life like nothing was happening outside. The whole place was chandeliers, mirrors, burnished gold and white marble. There was an in-house spa and daily buffet lunch and dinner. I was sooooooo anxious to get the job then, because - holy shit. I could steal food from the buffets and hygiene products from the spa to bring back to camp! Maybe I could even put a few of the kids onto my dependents’ health insurance! 

All of that flew straight out of the window when I met the interviewer. It transpired that he’d really only called me in so that he could tear me down to stroke his ego. He was super smug and without even discussing anything related to the position, on sight started berating me for overestimating my capabilities, How Dare I apply to this position without even so much as a BFA, Millennials these days were So Entitled, Everyone’s Calling Themselves An Artist These Days, etc etc - and, well, I blew up at him. I told him a) it’s a free country, it’s not against the law for me to apply to positions I’m underqualified for just to try my luck; b) I sent in my resume with the application, he had to have known I didn’t have a BFA, so why’d he call me in if he didn’t think I was qualified; c) oh, I know, because he just wanted to stroke his own ego, in which case he could shove my application and his desktop monitor you-know-where. 

Of course, he terminated the interview on the spot and called security to come escort me out. But before they managed to find and apprehend me, I managed to steal all the pads from the pad dispensers in the washrooms, as well as all the candy from the reception/waiting areas, so it wasn’t a completely wasted trip after all.

Blake’s loyalty to his employees is incomparable. But here is my biggest gripe with his latest loyalty choice: His “new” publicist! It means that he will now officially share a PR company with ML’s team.  If anybody thinks that her publicist (who is also Ole Red’s publicist) putting her in People mag during Blake and Gwen’s first anniversary week is a co-incidence – I have a bridge in New York to sell you.  Wes Vause will be partnering officially with Elbie McFarland (EBM) - ML's publicist - from July onwards. I say officially, because they are unofficially already partners and have been for years. But ML’s team will now have official, direct access to EVERYTHING Blake plans, and they can coordinate any major news drops accordingly.

She is a big fish in a VERY small pond and unknown outside the US or in the pop music world. But she needs to sell tickets in Vegas – an international tourist destination where hardly any tourist has a clue who she is. EBM (ie Elbie) can’t be happier to get official access to Blake and Gwen to promote her own clients. Wes is a nice guy, but Blake's relentless loyalty may also be his downfall one day.

This is very interesting. I’ve thought for a long time that Blake makes a lot of business decisions with his heart and not his head and would benefit from working with different people sometimes.
