I am in complete agreement with the Astarion is (and all the other companions are) pan crowd. He is canonically pan and that should not be erased. But every post about it really needs to have at least one comment devaluing his attraction to men and denying the fact that he seems to have a preference for men (which is accurate to the lived experiences of bi/pan people. MANY people have a preference). Also many people need to realize that most people are not upset that you are having Astarion kissing your lady Tav but that most people are upset that many (not all) astarion x f!Tav works completely erase his more feminine mannerisms and stuff him into a tasteless hetero male love interest box which is like djddjjdjd not great and I do not trust it

why do ppl insist on reading (spawn and/or pre-ritual) astarion as possessive of his partner? why do we Want him to have that trait? what is the point. why r we trying to make him possessive and protective when he’s like… not? ascended!astarion is right there u can literally have this if u want it! u don’t need to ascribe it to spawn!astarion when it’s not there. there is Literally A Version Of Events Where It Is True

Look, I may have accidentally created an aroace character, but now I'm going back to make a non-aroace character so I can romance the disaster wizard and live in his magical library.

This is a completely rational action and not in any way weird.

Today there was a question in Discord of what bird would your OCs be, and so I of course spent half the morning thinking about that.

Kaia Ura—green heron. This one is mostly vibes based. I could make up something about how herons are gorgeous elegant hunters, but I knew this one in my heart before I ever put thought into it.

Rinkah Bajhiri—loggerhead shrike. Cute, tiny murderbirds. Good monochrome color scheme.

Amira—kori bustard. I wanted a forest bird for her, but nothing I could think of felt as right as this guy. Largest birds capable of flight! Sometimes they carry around small, bright allies! Plus, the ones at the DC zoo are just really friendly and gorgeous.

Melody Holmes—purple crowned fairy wren. Very pretty, but not too flashy. Exactly the vibe she goes for when dealing with high society.
