friendly reminder that the gods are not stagnant, they're not 2-dimensional, they're not simple. what they are is complex, complicated, and well- rounded beings. a lot of the time they're only viewed for their "good qualities" and what have you. i don't care if i sound like a broken record, acknowledge the divine are complex and inexplicable.

let the gods be fluid: they come in the forms of animals? fantastic, there's rich history in that. they come in the form of different genders? wonderful, shows trans beauty. they come in all shapes and sizes? perfection, the gods embody all and mirror all. the gods appear as a different race? beautiful, there's diversity even in divinity.

the gods present themselves differently, people experience the gods differently, and that's ok

i don't really ever see much ever talked about regarding janus so i wanted to provide my personal experience with him :)

janus is unlike any deity i had encountered before. he's duality to its completion and fullest extent, and this was genuinely a bit difficult to accept as well. it was new, and scary, and flared up some issues i had thought i had taken control over and learned to manage. and yet through it he remained patient. he remained kind and gentle, a guiding stern hand. and for that i absolutely love and adore him. he's never raised his voice to get a point across, he's always ever shifting -- taking on the apparition of a goat being, the witch father, and even the appearance of a benevolent sun father & creator, liberator, enlightener. he's the in-between and completion of transitions; between the sun and moon, war and peace, honesty and lies, life and death, youth and age -- he's everything and nothing all at once yet not at all. he's perceived yet elusive and inconceivable. i love my gatekeeper, i love my father who stepped down as creator and ruler to allow for change. because after all: "the only thing constant, is change."
