I was replaying BOTW for the third time to play the DLC but I got bored halfway and decided to boot up Skyward Sword and play it for the first time…
I didn’t know Link was this expressive 😭
#txt#I really like Zelda but admittedly the only Zelda games I’ve played is wind waker and botw and its sequel#the latter two games were basically my main perception of link#so playing a game where link looks terrified; flustered; shy#excited… everything really surprised me#it’s a little too hand holdy for my liking and I don’t like how small the text is on the text boxes#visually it looks really nice. I love their Zelda design even if my favorite will always be BOTW Zelda#but I think SS link is my favorite. I can’t believe people used to call him ugly!

He is a little freak, but that's important for the group dynamic.
Besides, who doesn't like pretending they are a beastie with no humanoid responsibilities and stressors? Why cry when you can be a little guy? Simply become one with nature and thrive as a creature in the woods. Probably also another good reason to do that actually, druidic connection.

my "i prefer to buy my games physical because they look good on a shelf" ass seeing the switch 2 box arts:
#i'm not sure i'll know where i'll stand on the wraparound spines until i see them in person#but right now i'm fairly worried about them#in principle it seems like it would be helpful to distinguish games at a glance#but from what we've seen so far#it doesn't seem like they've been designed to put anything particularly identifiable on the spines themselves?#and the standard white text might get lost depending on what the design actually is#and that's not even getting into the whole debacle with like#the actual front of the box#the preservationist in me really really wants to stick with physical as much as possible#but this is the most i've been tempted to go digital for some bigger games#nintendo#nintendo switch 2#switch 2#koolmathgames.com

#oc: maercy#my art#i am not happy with this at all BUT!! now i know i need to spend longer in the planning phase.#i really don't like the panel layout. or my design for ria. it's just very visually boring to me.#designing clothing has always been a really weak point for me and although what i came up with is serviceable i just don't like it#i AM happy i finished it tho!!! look at me. finishing stuff. very cool.#also i ran out of space for the rest of the dialogue boxes in the last panel 😭 which is why the text is like that#all of ria's dialogue is from the game (occurs after you agree to go find lann) i literally changed nothing. just added maercy's reactions.#i might (*MIGHT*. HEAVY MIGHT) continue this to the rest of the quest because i do have some fun ideas#(and if i do there will hopefully be a significant increase in quality)#it is going to change how maercy realizes her feelings for lann tho because otherwise she's going to look. EXTREMELY stupid.#like excessively frustratingly stupid. also it'll be funnier than my old headcanon.#i want to make this scene 100 times more awkward >:]#you can't really see it because i made it too small but the die crit failed#wisdom wasn't maercy's dump stat but i do like acting like it was (it was intelligence)#(i can probably play it like she picks up on things but draws the wrong conclusion. i think that'd be funny)#aughh the text in panel 4 is too small but i dont want to fix itttttt 😭
