Hello!!! I hope you don't mind doing this one,
Can you help me write a traumatized person who's having trouble talking because of past trauma? (They can still interact with people, but only with signs and movements, not voice) and also a little anxious
Tell me if you need more details =)
How to Write a Mute / Non-Speaking Character
-> healthline.com
-> verywellhealth.com
-> descriptionary.wordpress.com
Types of Mutism:
selective mutism: having the ability to speak but feeling unable to.
organic mutism: mutism caused by brain injury, such as with drug use or after a stroke.
cerebellar mutism: mutism caused by the removal of a brain tumor from a part of the skull surrounding the cerebellum, which controls coordination and balance.
aphasia: when people find it difficult to speak because of stroke, brain tumor, or head injury.
What Causes Selective Mutism in Adults?
having another anxiety condition, like separation anxiety or social anxiety
experiencing physical, emotional, or sexual abuse
having a family history of selective mutism or social anxiety
having fewer opportunities for social contact
having an extremely shy personality
having a speech or language disorder, learning disability, or sensory processing disorder
parent-child enmeshment, or lack of clear boundaries in the relationship
traumatic experiences
Traumatic Mutism vs Trauma-Induced Selective Mutism
if you have traumatic mutism, you may be unable to talk in all situations following a trauma.
with trauma-induced selective mutism, you may find it impossible to talk only in certain situations-- for example, in front of the person who hurt you or in a setting that resembles the circumstances of your trauma.
Different Ways Individuals with Mutism May Choose to Communicate:
Nonverbal Communication: they may rely on facial expressions, gestures, eye contact, and body language to convey their thoughts, emotions, and intentions.
Writing or Typing: they may use a pen and paper, digital devices, or communication apps to write messages, notes, or responses.
Sign Language: they can convey meaning, emotions, and engage in complex conversations through hand signs, facial expressions, and body movements.
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Devices: these devices provide individuals with a range of tools and technologies to support their communication needs. They can include speech-generating devices, picture boards, apps, or software that allows users to select words, phrases, or symbols to generate spoken or written output.
Communication Boards and Visual Aids: Communication boards or charts with pictures, symbols, or words can assist individuals in conveying their messages.
Assistive Technology: various assistive technologies, such as speech-to-text apps, text-to-speech programs, or eye-tracking devices that aid individuals with communication.
Tips on Writing a Mute / Non-Speaking Character:
Explore the vast array of nonverbal cues such as facial expressions, body language, gestures, and eye contact. Use descriptions to convey their intentions and reactions.
Utilize internal dialogue. Offer readers a window into their internal thought process, and turn their internal dialogue into a narrative that reveals their inner struggles, triumphs, and complexities so that reader can connect with the character.
Establish a communication system that is unique to your character (Sign language, written notes, telepathy in a fantasy setting, etc.). Having a communication system allows your character to interact with other characters and contribute to the narrative.
Surround them with Understanding Characters that can aid in communcation and fostering meaningful relationships.
Establish the Barriers/Conflicts They'll Experience. Don't forget to be realistic.
Your character is not defined by their inability to speak. Make sure you do not write stereotypes and cliches. Being mute is only one aspect of their identity rather than their defining trait.
Do your research! Seek out firsthand accounts, experiences, and perspectives. Check out online forums and resources to gain insights into their unique challenges, adaptations, and strengths.

SSP PLUGIN RECOMMENDATIONS
Do you want to customize and expand your desktop buddy experience further? here are some handy links to miscellaneous plug-ins I’ve gathered from around the web, or you can even program your own, and they can also be written in any programming language so the possibilities are limitless! plug-ins are essentially  extensions or add-on built for SSP. I’m not a plugin developer myself, and have yet to test out each one of them for extended periods of time, so please refer to the readme files/ instructions provided by the developers (github usually has info) on how to use them if you get stuck or encounter issues.  these are just some of the more recently updated ones, I'll be adding more to the plugin page of my blog if you're interested.
Tumblr media
Weather Station by Zicheq (of Ukagaka Dream Team) A plugin for both users and devs, for getting weather data! As a developer, you can set your ghost up to receive weather data from this plugin, to then do what you will with! Weather based comments? Outfit changes? Something else totally unrelated? It’s up to you! This plugin will handle the messy details of the user inputting their location and gathering the weather data for you. … (read more here)
Tumblr media
Discord Rich Presence by Ponapalt (main dev of SSP baseware) This plugin is designed for displaying the name of the primary ghost you have open on the ‘currently playing’ status on the Discord for Windows application in real-time. also compatible with displaying your currently played song in FLUX (a really awesome music player ghost by Zi).
CeVIO-Talker V2 Plug-in by Ambergon This Plug-in was initially revealed for Day 21 of the Ukagaka Advent Calendar collaborative project in 2022. using this you can have a fully voiced ghost with a realistic sounding voicebank speak to you out loud! (in English too?) it Requires ceVIO Creative Studio and SSP 2.6.45 (or newer) to work, ceVIO is a vocal synthesizer software commonly compared to Vocaloid and UTAU that works via text-to-speech method. the primary difference between Vocaloid and ceVIO is that ceVIO is built for both TTS/speech and creating vocals for songs in music production. you can download a demo of CeVIO if you would like to try it out here.
GhostSpeaker by apxxxxxxe like CeVIO-Talker, this Plug-in was initially revealed for Day 17 of the Ukagaka Advent Calendar collaborative project in 2023. it’s a successor to the Bouyomi-chan plug-in and utilizes a free (Japanese) text-to-speech software called VOICEVOX and COEIROINK so that your ghost can verbalize their balloon dialogue and speak to you. you can listen to a demo in this github link.
GhostWardrobe by apxxxxxxe allows you to dress up your ghost in different coordinates, mix and match pieces and save and load the outfit combinations from the plugin menu.
Tumblr media
CharameL plugin   by Umeici This software allows you to enjoy watching ghosts directly interact and chat amongst each other freely on the built in instant messenger.

Persona 3 Reload!
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
So since the Persona 3 Reload trailer was released early, I have So Many thoughts on it! I'm both super excited for a lot of it, and a little disappointed about other parts?
Firstly, the graphics are gorgeous. Of course there's going to be improvements, the original game came out like 17 years ago now, the technology, skills and software that go into this have improved massively over the years, as well as consoles being able to handle and display much higher quality graphics.
Tumblr media
The environment just feels so much more alive. They've put so much little detail into the areas of this game already, and I do really wish people claiming that they're Just Money Grabbing and dragging out the franchise (although usually referring to Persona 5 more) would take a minute to look at all the care that they put into these games. It's such small things, like the individual brickwork on the floor, and the faint scenes behind the windows. Even just the detailing on the fountain and how the water falls, every little detail comes together to make the environment alive. I'm also a massive fan of blue tint implying darkness, so much modern media sacrifices visibility for darkness sake, and although a small detail it feels very important to mention, as well as how it creates such a great contrast to the light sources? It's a method that was used a lot in film making specifically, although now, again, they seem to prefer to make it impossible to see rather than create an implication and more enjoyable and accessible experience.
Tumblr media
Even the menu is incredible. It's visually stunning whilst also being well designed from a UI perspective. Seeing them side by side really gives an indication of how far the games have come. Although two very small changes, Persona 4 switched the Equip and Persona options, and Persona 5 switched the Quests (Missions in P5) and Social Link options. Both of these changes, whilst minor, do show an improvement in UI. The Equip option is going to be more used than checking your Persona is, as theoretically you will be switching out equipment regularily as you gain better gear (although I will admit I am awful at changing my gear around), and you'll (once again, theoretically) be keeping more tabs on your quests than your social links, as social links often inform you in game their level and when they're close to improving, as quests are something you will be checking perhaps even daily as you progress through the game. Moving your currency out from the bottom of the menu makes it easier to find as well, as there's not really any reason to have it there to begin with?
Tumblr media
The character models are absolutely incredible as well! Of course, again, 17 years improvement, but what improvement it is! Aigis, my beloved, she looks stunning. I cannot get over the lighting, although this does lead a bit into the things I'm disappointed with.
Tumblr media
The sprite art is amazing as well. They've brightened the characters' palettes, and with the higher quality graphics, it's allowed them to add subtler details (like the stitching on Yukari's choker). However, it feels like this was at the expense of some of the character the Persona 3 sprites had. The range of facial shapes seems to have been lost, and even details such as Aigis being the only character with larger pupils is no longer as clear.
Tumblr media
A lot of the emotion in the Persona 3 sprites has been sacrificed as well, which is disappointing seeing as it's one of, in my opinion, the best features in the Persona 3 sprites. This is really present in Junpei, as along with losing his distinct chin and little beard, his sprite lacks the personality of the original.
Tumblr media
Even in his voicelines and such, they lack the energy and personality Junpei has? Something as simple as the implication of an accent in text can give a character so much personality, can tell you about the kind of person they are or how they grew up. With Junpei, he uses 'lazy speech', where he pronounces the word in an easier way rather than the 'proper' way (using ya instead of you). It instantly gives the vibe that he's more laid back and that he isn't as strict as somebody like Mitsuru who uses full sentences with consistent, proper pronunciation. Although you could argue that him telling the player to refer to him by his first name tells you this as well, this requires prior knowledge of Japanese culture and honorifics, and how these are used in a day to day life, and therefore just doesn't have the same effect in the English localisation as a written accent.
Tumblr media
Looking deeper at the sprites, the main reason they had so much more emotion and character was the range of motion. Although some sprites are reused with different expressions, there is a range of poses. This allows for emotion through body language, which not only helps express emotion but personality as well. Once again, the pose used most frequently tells us Junpei is this laid-back guy, and simply having such a range of head placements creates more character and emotion in these sprites.
Tumblr media
Persona 4 was when they changed to a static base sprite with a range of emotions, rather than the differing pose and head placements in Persona 3. Looking at Yosuke's sprites, it's very clear they're one sprite with varying expressions. Although this already removes some of that character and emotion from Persona 3, the Persona 4 characters at least have a great deal of different expressions.
Tumblr media
Looking at Ryuji's sprite in Persona 5, there's much more animation within it. Having options for eyes open and closed, and mouth movements. However, he has a total of 6 emotions, with the same base for all. Persona 5 uses cut ins for stronger emotions, however this only works for those strong emotions.
Tumblr media
The dynamic sprites in Persona 3 really added to the game, so seeing that it seems they're carrying on with the trend of the previous two games is kind of disappointing. It is for sure something that could have been achieved with the current style of Persona, and although I understand its easier for them to go off of one base for both time and consistencies sake, it is something I wish they had, or maybe even will, adapt into this game.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
In general, I'm really excited about this game? Although the sprites really are something that disappoints me, the fact that my biggest grievance is something so small really does leave me excited about the game itself. With the only switch port we have not having any of the cutscenes, I'm really excited to be able to fully experience the game on a modern console, and one that is to me much more accessible than the PlayStation is. I do have high hopes for this game being good!

I'm keeping windows 7 on my desktop pc for Sims 2 but it's becoming more and more obsolete 😭 most of the games I want to try on Steam require w10, the text-to-speech softwares are terrible (you can't install additional voices... I have the default English but I'd need an italian one too for some books) + more and more things are becoming incompatible. I need to update both its hardware and software UGH

information & resources for making subliminals/supraliminals :)
· Mind Over App (Apple): affirmations can be recorded on here, with or without music playing at the same time (I sometimes record them with theta waves), audios can be looped from 1-50 times -or- for around 50-ish minutes (sometimes, the looped audios stop around 50-ish minutes even if they're longer than 1 minute)
· Parrot app (Apple, Android): you can record affirmations (with or without music playing at the same time), play them on a loop, set a timer, etc.
· other device recorders: you can also just use an audio/voice recorder that might already be on your device (phone, tablet, computer, etc.), or you can find one to download — you might even be able to export/add the audio to Audacity or InShot
· Audacity audio editing software (Windows, macOS, Linux, & other Unix-like operating systems): you can record yourself saying affirmations on Audacity and edit it (volume, music, etc.), or you can use a text-to-speech program to create an affirmation audio and add that to Audacity and edit it
· InShot app (Apple, Android): you can use the InShot app to create videos with subliminals, you can add pictures/videos/words and record yourself saying affirmations, add music (you can extract audio/music from videos or upload music to the app), etc. — if you aren't able to add a text-to-speech file, you can either audio record the text-to-speech audio or screen record it and extract the audio from the video
· other video editing apps: CapCut, KineMaster, etc. and I'm also going to mention TikTok, bc you can literally make/upload a video to TikTok (and it can be to your drafts or privately), and it automatically loops by itself
· text-to-speech programs: TextMagic (online), Balabolka (computer download), SpeakLine (Mac) — you can write out affirmations on a text-to-speech website or app, adjust it (if possible), save it and use it that way, or edit it with music / into a video, etc. you can edit it with Audacity or InShot, etc.
· downloading music: OnlyMP3, YouTubeMP3Free, FreeMusicArchive

Anyone know of any free (or cheap) speech to text software for Windows that Does not censor swearing?
I can't even write the word 'arse' with Windows speech to text. It's that ridiculous. This is obviously a problem for me given that I write adult fiction and I can't even use adult language without it being censored.
I have arthritis in my finger and need speech to text to help me write when I can't type.
So any suggestions are very welcome. Please reblog if you can as I would really like to find software that doesn't censor me from saying the words boobies or anus when I feel like it.

Help In Jimin Promotion | How to edit Positive Jimin content
Creating positive Jimin content
Want to make a jimin edit but don't know how?
In this post I will do my best to guide you through the basics of editing so you can promote jimin in a positive way.
Before you start to make your Jimin content, and ask yourself the following questions:
📍 What do I want people to think about Jimin after they watch the video? 📍 How do I want them to feel about Jimin after watching the video? 📍 What do I want to achieve with the video? 📍 What do I want people to do after watching the video?
Having these goals in mind will help give you a clear picture of what you want your content to achieve in the long run for the benefit of Jimin's image.
Remember: we want the content to highlight him in a positive light.
After you thought carefully and planned your intentions, let's start editing!
For Youtube Videos:
Editing softwares: I recommend Movavi and Filmora, both are free to use and are very beginner friendly.
For more advanced editors, Sony vegas pro is a great one.
Watch editing tutorials on youtube for the specific app/software you want to use, and edit as much as you can. You don't have to be the best editor out there to make good jimin content, just edit as much you can, the more editing you do, the better you'll get.
if you feel a little lost with what type of content you want to make, look at your favorite edits/videos, study those and use them as a guide for your edits. (make sure to put on your own unique spin on them).
Note: it's not always about having tons of effects in your videos, sure it looks cool but having too many effects can actually distract from the point you're trying make across to the viewer, so sometimes less is more.
Text to speech - if you're not sure you want to use your voice for videos, text to speech is the perfect alternative to make your videos more engaging without having to do that. There are plenty of free text to speech mobile apps out there, use the most simple ones for your videos.
If you're using a PC/windows, all you need to do is use OneNote, the app is usually already on your computer but if it's not, simply download it from the microsoft store. Write the text you want to use for your videos, and then have the app read it to you through clicking on immersive reader, record it with the windows free voice recorder, and there you have it!
All you need to do is transfer the recorded track to your editing software, match your video clips with voice recording and you're done! This video explains step by step how to do this:
youtube
Background music: For tiktok, you can add any music/sound you want in the background, but If your video is meant for youtube, make sure to use copyright free music.
For Tiktok/Youtube shorts:
There are plenty of tutorials out there on how to make tiktok edits, the more popular ones to tend be made with:
CapCut app
But you can make a tiktok edit with any software as long as you make the video 19:6 (vertical).
There's definitely a need for more informative tiktok videos with accurate facts on Jimin, so you can use the text to speech for those as well!
Editing is a fun and effective way of relaying information in a way that sticks in people's mind, which is what we need in order to counter the false narratives, change the narrative surrounding Jimin and introducing him to new people.
And most importantly:
Make sure your content shows Jimin for who is, free of any false narratives and tropes. Show people the qualities that make him the great person and one in a lifetime performer he is. Make them see what YOU see about Jimin.
We can't blame people for not knowing what we know about him, we need to show it to them.
Making content is the best way to do so. The same way that haters spread misinfo about him, is the same way we need to spread positive info about him. Make people see what made you a fan and inspire more and more people to show their love for Jimin openly.

How to use your favorite console controllers on Nintendo Switch & PC, and how to use your Switch controller on PC
I've recently discovered two awesome products that create compatibility between several types of controllers and the Nintendo Switch, as well as the PC, and even the PS3. There are ways to use emulation apps and software to pair various controllers with PC, but it's a tricky process and sometimes you can't get the wireless functionality to work. The quickest and simplest way to get gaming with your favorite controller is with one of these wireless USB sticks:
Mayflash Magic NS, NS-2, and NS-lite
The Mayflash Magic NS, NS-2, and NS-lite works with: Switch, Switch OLED, Windows, Raspberry Pi, macOS, PlayStation 3, NEOGEO mini, SNK NEOGEO Arcade Stick PRO, SEGA Genesis Mini, SEGA Mega Drive Mini, and Sega Astro City Mini
And it's compatible with these controllers: DualSense, DualShock 4, DualShock 3, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One Bluetooth controllers, Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, Switch Pro, Switch Joy-Con, Wii Remote, and Wii U Pro.
You can find it on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-Magic-NS-Wireless-Controller-Nintendo/dp/B079B5KHWQ?th=1
8Bitdo Wireless USB Adapter 2
The 8bitdo Wireless USB Adapter 2 works with: Switch, Windows, macOS, and Raspberry Pi. It apparently also works on the Playstation Classic.
And it's compatible with these controllers: Xbox Series X Controller, Xbox Series S Controller, Xbox One Bluetooth Controller, PS5/PS4/PS3 Controller, Switch Pro, Switch Joy-con, Wii Mote, and Wii U Pro. The Xbox 360 controller apparently works as well.
You can find it on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/8Bitdo-Raspberry-Compatible-Controller-Bluetooth/dp/B09M8CVMYF/
This is not a paid endorsement, just a public service announcement for the accessibility community: game on everybody!
This post can also be read and listened to (text-to-speech) at my Medium page: https://medium.com/@AbleGaming/how-to-use-your-favorite-console-controllers-on-nintendo-switch-and-pc-and-how-to-use-your-switch-64d7a7bc7b7f

Bridging the Gap: Enhancing Telecommunications Access for Australians with Disabilities
Tumblr media
Telecommunications is a crucial window through which one can access jobs, social networks, education, and other necessities in today's digitally connected society. The digital divide that results from these obstacles makes it difficult for Australians with disabilities to participate in society fully and worsens social isolation. Ensuring equality and inclusion in the design, deployment, and regulation of telecommunications infrastructure is crucial to closing this gap, and technology advancement alone won't cut it.
Physical obstacles and structural injustices are just two of the difficulties that Australians with disabilities have when trying to obtain telecommunications services. The lack of screen readers or easily navigable software interfaces can make using mobile applications, the internet, and other devices challenging for visually impaired people. Similarly, people who are hard of hearing could find it difficult to communicate using traditional means, especially if there are no closed captions or other alternatives like video relay services. The gadgets' complexity and poorly designed user interfaces frequently prevent people with physical or cognitive limitations from independently accessing basic services.
The issue of affordability is also quite important. Due to the increased likelihood of socioeconomic difficulties for Australians with disabilities, the price of assistive technologies and telecommunications services presents a significant obstacle. Even when services and gadgets are offered, many people who would most benefit from using them are frequently unable to afford them due to their high cost. Furthermore, users may not be aware of or skilled in using these tools, which further restricts access. This is due to a lack of training and general knowledge about assistive technologies.
The cornerstone for closing the digital divide for individuals with impairments is inclusive design. This strategy makes sure that services and technology are available to as many people as possible, including those with a range of needs and skills. In the context of telecommunications, inclusive design is incorporating accessibility features as early as possible, as opposed to as an afterthought or an add-on. To guarantee that devices and services are accessible to all users features like text-to-speech capabilities, customized user interfaces, haptic feedback, and voice recognition are essential.
Telecommunications firms and service providers must follow universal design principles, which promote goods and services that are naturally usable by everyone, regardless of disability. Engaging with the disability community should be at the core of inclusive design, rather than just adhering to technical requirements. Co-designing solutions with those who have experienced disabilities firsthand can produce breakthroughs that solve practical issues and enhance usability for all.
Government, businesses, disability advocacy organizations, and the general public must work together to close the communications gap. When it comes to incorporating accessibility into their business models, telecommunications companies need to take the initiative, from product creation to customer support. Industry and disability organizations working together can spur innovation and guarantee that the needs of the disabled are given priority.
Furthermore, educating the public on the value of digital inclusion can aid in changing societal perceptions about accessibility and disability. Reducing stigma and promoting an accessible culture can be greatly aided by education campaigns and CSR activities that support inclusivity in technology.
Achieving a more inclusive and fair society requires improving telecommunications access for Australians with disabilities. Even though there have been notable improvements in access, there is still more work to be done to remove the remaining obstacles. Australia can guarantee that its telecommunications networks are accessible to all, enabling persons with disabilities to fully engage in and contribute to society, by embracing inclusive design, bolstering policy and regulatory frameworks, and encouraging collaboration amongst all stakeholders. Creating a digital environment where everyone, regardless of ability, has equal access to opportunities and services is the aim, not just bridging the gap but closing it completely.

Company Fires 60 Strong Writing Team
I came across this news article:
The article stated that a company developed a seasoned writing team to promote their product by writing blog posts. All was good until they laid the writers in favor of an AI generator (like ChatGPT). The only people left were editors who had to tidy up the blog entries, so they looked like a human had written them.
Should I be angry? Hey! They fired a bunch of fellow writers! Not cool! The truth is that this story did not surprise me at all, and I felt no emotion. Why?
A friend (who is not a computer expert) developed ChatGPT scripts to do his entire job. He takes the company’s latest reports and writes blog posts, emails, and tweets. Plus, he spots issues and recommends improvements. ChatGPT allows him to do a day’s work in minutes. And the result? His bosses are very pleased, but he would get fired in a heartbeat if they knew what was going on.
ChatGPT is the perfect program to do what those 60 people were doing. Take boring company junk and turn it into enticing blog posts. The people reading the blog will see the latest company news in an easy-to-read format.
What about those who got fired? I am sure they were creative and talented people who were proud of their words. They had families dependent on their income, and I know these writers were angry for being laid off. Yet, this is not the first time a new technology has led to job loss.
I recall a story by my former coworker who passed away in the mid-90s. She was an incredibly talented database programmer hired to upgrade a large retail store chain’s inventory/ordering/payroll/accounting system. This contract job replaced giant mainframes with smaller but more powerful modern software and hardware. She developed a relational database and Windows program that allows quick interaction. Her system replaced a vastly outdated text file database and thousands of dumb terminals.
This effort took six months, and the results were fantastic for the employees, customers, and company profit. Yet, before the upgrade, the company had a four-story building with 120 employees, several mainframes, and one entire floor dedicated to nine-track tapes. (Remember those “high tech” computer scenes in old movies where the two tapes spun back and forth? They are nine-tracks.) Imagine the size of their electricity bill.
The entire building was replaced with a single programmer (to maintain the system and add features) and a single modern server. I am sure those 120 people were spitting nails upset at losing their jobs. This speech from the excellent movie “Other People’s Money” sums up their situation:
Could these employees see layoffs coming? The 2015 documentary “All Things Must Pass” described the downfall of Tower Records. Nobody at Tower saw a future where people could download music, yet the millions of people downloading music certainly saw the future.
If the Tower Records employees or management had applied any effort, they could have predicted their job loss. “Hey, look at this. People can download music. Time to update my resume.”
Well, what about me? Programs like ChatGPT are getting more powerful every day. You know my book, Interviewing Immortality? (Please download a copy!) I bet if you gave ChatGPT the summary, it could write a story just as well. Girrr. I must admit, this is a true statement.
Want proof? I have read several books that were clearly written with ChatGPT, and here are two examples:
ChatGPT for Writers by Saif Hussaini
AI Mastery Trilogy by Andrew Hinton
What ticked me off was that in the book summary/blurb, the author made no mention that ChatGPT wrote their creation. I have seen enough ChatGPT-generated content to recognize its writing style and have a spoiler alert. You will soon have the same magical ability. Want proof?
Way back when books were not printed, scribes copied them. Then, the printing press was invented. The result was unflattering because printed letters were square and not created by humans. Boo! Try harder. Then, the typewriter was invented. If you received a letter, it was clear that it was not printed; a typewriter made it. Boo! I want the neatness of a printing press.
Then, the computer was invented, and people wrote letters using a word processor and printer. Boo! Look right here. The font changed. I want to read a letter created on a typewriter.
ChatGPT has already invaded our lives. Are you talking/emailing/chatting with a real person? ChatGPT or some other AI is taking your fast-food orders, calling you on the phone, answering your technical questions, providing limitless entertainment, or conning you out of your hard-earned money.
Yet, I remind you that this is just the beginning. Remember the invention of the IBM PC in the late 70s? Yes, there were many issues, but with some developments, we now have today’s astounding smartphones, gaming PCs, internet service providers, and thousands of AI computers chugging away.
We figured out the IBM PC and will figure out ChatGPT. This means that, like in the 20s, when people figured out they were reading a typed letter, people will learn to recognize when they are not interacting with a human.
Will those 60 people be hired back? Probably not, but the arm will swing the other way. The company that fired those 60 people will soon have upset customers. “This blog is pure AI. I’m not shopping here.”
What does it all mean? If you see a future where AI will take your job, it might be time to update your resume. Also, it is now essential to recognize AI-generated content. Fortunately, I will be here to provide you with AI-free content.
PS, I got a spam message today for a service that uses AI to generate blogs. “100% original content” It made me laugh.
    You’re the best -Bill
