Anne Reiter und Sophie Lindner: "Mangels" – Eine Auseinandersetzung mit dem Mangel im 21. Jahrhundert
Zeitraum: 15.12.2023 – 04.02.2024
Künstler*innengespräch: 26.01.2024 | 19 Uhr Lokomov
Mangeln beschreibt eine historische Methode, Stoff zu glätten, Falten zu beseitigen und wieder aufzubereiten. In der Gegenwart finden wir Orte des Mangels – die Wunden in den Landschaften des Braunkohleabbaus, die Arbeitsbedingungen der Pflege im Gesundheitswesen oder die Klimakrise. Erfahrungen mit Mangel, ob an Konsumwaren, Ressourcen oder politischer Mitbestimmung werden mehrheitlich ostdeutschen Biografien zugeschrieben. Doch ist Mangel für ihre Erfahrungen überhaupt eine passende Kategorie? Seit den 1990er Jahren vollzieht sich in Ostdeutschland ein drastischer Wandel von Arbeitsrealitäten. Was braucht es, um sich von der Kohle zu verabschieden? Wie vermitteln, wie Tränen trocknen, unter den Generationen Ostdeutschlands? Anhand von Soundcollagen, Textilien sowie Fotografie begegnen die Künstlerinnen der Unschärfe des Begriffs Mangel.
Diese Maßnahme wird von Seiten des Klub Solitaer e.V. mitfinanziert durch Steuermittel auf der Grundlage des vom Sächsischen Landtag beschlossenen Haushaltes und gefördert durch die Kulturstiftung des Freistaates Sachsen sowie durch die Liebelt Stiftung Hamburg.
