[Transformers Entropy Lore] Introduction
(aka giving a basic overview of the backstory and lore of this fan continuity/au. there are a lot of characters in this universe that I have to go into individually but here's the general setting. Also I will be using AU and fan continuity interchangeably)
In a universe where the twin deities Primus and Unicron (henceforth referred to as 'the Twins') rule their own corner of the galaxy, the two deities have witnessed the rise and fall of many generations of Cybertronians: Primus as their creator to bring new life, and Unicron as their destroyer when chaos ravages the land and he deems the world unsalvageable. Every time Unicron wipes out the majority of the population, a new 'world cycle' begins when Primus recreates and repopulates the planet.
While the Twins hold the power of planetary-scale recreation and destruction, the cycles of creating and destroying Cybertronian civilizations for many times has left both deities weary. Thus, they created relics that allowed their wielders to harness part of the deities' powers as proxies for their mission: Primus' relics grant the wielder the ability to preserve and protect life and memories, while Unicron's relics grant the wielder power of mass destruction.
Fast forward to the present day, Cybertronian civilization thrives on its home planet, built on the foundations of the previous generation of Cybertronians who were almost completely destroyed by a foreign invasion. As peaceful as the planet seems to be, the cities of Cybertron are not without its problems, and cracks begin to form in its fragile foundations, culminating in the breakout of a civil war between the Autobots and Decepticons.
While both sides strive passionately for what they see as the best path forward for Cybertron, the war is locked in a stalemate, with both factions maintaining their strongholds in the cities. until the rediscovery of the relics brings breakthroughs on both sides of the war. With newfound power, the warring factions are determined to bring an end to the civil war once and for all.
---
TF entropy is currently divided into 4 'seasons', with season 1 being everything leading up to the war, season 2 and 3 being about the war (there's a turning point that divides the civil war section into two separate seasons, I'll talk about them later), and season 4 being post-war. The story mostly takes place on Cybertron, so any mentions of other planets will only be important in the post war stuff.
Despite dividing the AU into seasons they won't be published in the format of a long continuous fic. Instead I'll be working on shorter fics and one-shots from different character perspectives and categorize them according to when the fic takes place in the timeline. In the meantime I will be posting 'lore bites' which are basically short form rambles about different characters or worldbuilding bits that will be elaborated on in the fics or longer worldbuilding related posts.
Of course, feel free to drop any questions you have about tf entropy in my inbox, tf is my new hyperfixation and I love infodumping :D

do you have lore for the species of your sonas or are they just kinda, Are What They Are? like, i see that syntax is a demon, do you have any special lore for them on that or is it just kind of a "generic demon thing" kind of deal?
Yeah!
Aero is a dragon-raptor, but originally started off as just a dragon without the big feather arms and some of the patterns. The change towards the hybrid species was actually caused by Aero drinking toooooo many raptor tf potions, so the effect just, lingered forever (really its just an excuse to justify why I added feathers to Aero a long time ago. but the lore seems silly enough :3)
Syntax is a Demon, and Stratus is an Angel! Though, both demons and angels are actually *good* guys, usually. Demons specifically are gatekeepers to the afterlife, a realm where souls either rest forever or get returned back to the realm of the living. These demons really just keep everything there in check, but can appear in the living realm when things aren't too busy.
And Stratus is both an Angel, and a Cloudbeast! Unlike demons though, angels aren't a species- anyone can become an angel. Cloudbeasts are a species of feathered dragons, with fluffy necks and wide hips! They usually hang out in gas planets, and have a natural immunity to airborne toxins. They've also got specialized neck pouches that can hold air (helps with buoyancy a bit) or help filter toxins. They're usually super playful and sorta lazy, found napping while completely adrift in clouds... Though Stratus is only a bit more serious on account of being an angel-- just don't bring them around any food........
Then there's Aurex! Who's a dragon, and specifically a deity of destruction/entropy. Basically he grows more powerful by "destroying" things, or more accurately converting mana/existing things into anti-mana. Literal embodiment of entropy! Also, all Dragons (atleast, usually ones that are large and quadrupedal by default) are considered gods of some kind! Most anthro "dragons" don't get this sort of status though, or may only have a very minor influence over mana. Also all dragon deities can freely shapeshift into condensed anthro forms. Or taurs if they like :3
Delta is just a Valstrax (yay) from Monster Hunter, doesn't necessarily exist under the same bounds as my other sonas, and Biscuit's just a bird/raptor looosely inspired by bearded vultures because I love bearded vultures, not much to Biscuit lore wise.

trying to explain the "plot" of Phantasmagoria like death took the kids after a nasty divorce with life but they had to go into witness protection bc life is insane. they all get separated. one of the kids becomes a pirate and introduces the concept of fairies and sirens to the multiverse. the other kid gets their soul split in two with one half accidentally pissing off angels and the other half gets sent into a vr world where they're a magician. also there's a talking cat.
#paraportal#luka.txt#console: phantasmagoria#lore#at least i THINK that's whats goin on lol#absolutely batshit insane tho right#also. lucien is the pirate. vincent is pissing off angles & cali is the magician.#vin n cali are TECHNICALLY the same para and now there's an in-universe explanation lol#it actually works out bc how tf else do i explain the chaos that is Entropy#who ive just now decided is a fusion between cali & cheshire/fandom!vincent#this all makes perfect sense in my mind & that's what matters.#love how lucien is just. Vibing. connecting angels/fairies/sirens & looking for her family.#while vincent is fighting for his life in each world lmao. rip buddy.#GOD one day i need to like. make an 'official' intro post for phana....

chapter 25EX broke my brain, I have No idea what happened with how many terms were thrown around; how tf does the SoQ work? And what is the Honkai God/Honkai Energy?
(chapter 25ex basically entirely relies on context and knowledge from the Durandal VN so if you want the info direct from the source go read that)
The Imaginary Tree holds the universes that make up the multiverse like a tree and it's leaves. When the leaves fall off they will begin to decay and die, same with universes that have detached from the Imaginary Tree. Unless these bubble universes can find some other way to find the energy they need to keep existing they will die.
The Sea of Quanta is all the space in between the parts of the Tree and the bubble universes floating in it.
God/ the Will of the Honkai is really just what it says. The reason the Honkai can adapt to humanity's countermeasures and desires to destroy civilization in all universes is because the Honkai is intelligent with God running the show. For the only other appearance of God, read Second Eruption. Also Second Eruption is required reading for understanding the story anyway.
What is Honkai energy? The Anti-Entropy visual novel gives a super scientific explanation about "Imaginary Energy" yada-yada-yada that nobody understands cause Einstein is trying to confuse Welt anyway. It's basically just magic radiation, creates/lets in Honkai beasts when enough of it is present. Enough of it causes an eruption that creates a Herrscher. If you're looking for a more lore-y explanation, it's fundamentally different from all other kinds of energy and there's not much else.
Sidenote: The theory that all of Mihoyo's games take place in the same multiverse relies entirely on the Imaginary Tree. So one Universe on the Tree is Honkai Impact and another is GGZ, etc.

So. Year zero = first great war. Year 33 = bfa. Why tf does the community look at most halflings as a lore breaking joke? A human-ogre cross breed could very well be a thing. Same goes for human-orc. I think the community is just really in a creative entropy. You guys don’t realize the years in the world you RP in add up, cultures intermingle, and a person could very well learn new forms of magic. Human shamans woowoo. Policing characters OOCly to fit a mold for a collective people as if individuals don’t explore the world they live in is stupid. Individuality can exist in Azeroth. And good writing can bend Blizzard’s shitty lore. Their timeline doesn’t even make sense with the condensed years. Rant over. Rp what you want.
