The Maximal Prophecy
A TFP AU comic (sorta?) focusing on Maximal lore. I also just realized I never posted the Maximal backstory on here so TLDR: they were the Autobots that were on Earth when the Predacon clones invaded. They are all presumed dead.

HIII YUME!!! its me "OP and Blue bond" anon here. For simplicity sake, call me Shrimp! 🦐 ill leave my asks with the shrimp emoji hahaha, the whole title felt to long. But I'm back for you!
(im supposed to be developing my own TF continuity but here I am)
more MCB x TFP yay!!!
I saw your Cardbot x MECH post and like damm... good Blue Cop angst (thank you for feeding me)
More in-depth for the angst. Silas and his team captures blue cop and straps him down to large berth/table. Id say they take his are as Blue cop's weapon is a big gauntlet and they take it apart to see if by using their own mechanics, they can replicas on how the weapon appears. They would take him apart and put him back to gather while he still alive and aware, feeling all that pain. They'd do it over and over again. Silas would realises that Blue run on energy and pump him full of energy to either stun, temp paralyse or keep him charged up. And it messes with Blues systems, overdosing and making him feel light headed and fuzzy. Makes him super docile and everything. Silas would still want to use Blue so he does something like pacific rim and connects himself to Blue, smth similar to what the metal breath can do. They are mentally linked. Blue hates that someone else is in his head. The team would rescue him eventually but Blue would suffer from Glitches (overcharged), Phantom pains, charging disorder? scared to fuel anymore. A lot more pain for the after er math and everything but I can't really think much about it for now. Breakdown and Blue Cop would find solace in each other after their own incident. Thats it for now!! Shrimp out -🦐
MCB x TFP crossover
Hello Shrimp!!! It's always a pleasure to see you again!!
And once again Blue Cop is next on the chopping block, poor guy
But just think about the amount of terror Blue Cop would be feeling. Whenever the cons hold one of them hostage they just have to find the Nemesis, which is difficult but it's still a giant alien ship. But MECH is a different story. This is their world, they know the best places to hide, places where it would take the bots months to find them. And they know how to hide their tracks, they aren't as strong as the cons so they're more cautious, they have multiple hideouts and bases
On top of that, they aren't taking any chances with Blue Cop, they don't want a repeat of the Breakdown situation. Anything they think the bots can use to track Blue Cop has been destroyed or blocked. Blue Cop is chained down to the table extremely well, he can't even move a digit. And in order to make Blue Cop cooperate, they threaten Jun. They don't have him, but they tell in detail what they can do to him if Blue Cop doesn't do what they ask. This is how they get Blue Cop to reveal his gauntlet
The gauntlet is ripped from his servo and they get to work taking it apart and seeing how it works. Blue Cop, at first, thinks that's all they wanted. He's never had to face humans like MECH before so he doesn't know what's in store for him. When they turn their attention to Blue Cop, he realizes what's going to happen and starts to struggle. Of course, this is useless
If I remember correctly, MECH could, for some reason, turn off Breakdown's pain receptors. This was done so he wouldn't struggle, but they can't do that with Blue Cop. They do try, but eventually give up and get to work. As they take him apart Blue Cop can feel everything. They saw open his chest, and start to tear out his organs. They want to see how he works, they take care of seeing what every organ is and what it could do. They're also looking for similarities between cybertronians and cardbots
He can feel them moving inside him, he hates it. He screams the whole while, struggling and struggling, begging that the bots come. They keep taking out and putting the organs back in, it's torture to the highest degree. Eventually during this they figure out he can take any form of energy. So they drug him, overcharging him with electricity, maybe even energon. His head hurts, it feels like he's trying to wake up, but is so drowsy he can't cross that point. He has stopped screaming by this point, just making small noise here and there
MECH does eventually put Blue Cop back together, and this is when Silas wants to control Blue Cop. He has seen how powerful he is and he wants that power. When they manage to do a mental link between the two, horror fills Blue Cop. A mental link to him is something that gives him strength from his friends, it allows him to get going knowing he isn't alone
This, this is the complete opposite. It's disgusting, a violate. Blue Cop can't even do anything thanks to being overcharged. But this is how the bots find him. Due to the mental link it causes the Metal Breath to freak out, alerting Jun to where Blue Cop is. They get there and stop the mental link, but the damage is done
Blue Cop seems more like a shell of himself now. He mostly stays to himself, refusing anyone to touch him. He doesn't even want to recharge anymore, sometimes it gets so bad Mega Ambler and Ratchet have to force him to unless he starves himself. Sometimes Blue Cop thinks he hears Silas still in his mind, he can't tell if it's true or just paranoia. And one of the worst things is the fact he flinched away from Jun, from any human for that matter
The first time it happened everyone stopped in shock, Jun had a look of hurt on his face and Blue Cop left quickly afterwards. Wild Guardy is the one that stays with Jun for most of the time now, taking Blue Cop's place at least until he's better. Wild Guardy always wanted to be better than Blue Cop, but not like this, never like this. Blue Cop spends a lot of time with Optimus, Mega Ambler, and Ratchet during this time, going through the healing process isn't easy, but one day he'll get there
The next time Blue Cop is out in the field he encounters Breakdown. They're fighting normally before Breakdown asks what's up? Even he can tell Blue Cop is off his game today. Blue Cop, who has been having a terrible day, the memories and phantom pain are haunting more than usual, just breakdowns (hah) Breakdown is extremely confused, but awkwardly goes over to Blue Cop and asks what's wrong. Blue Cop just spills out of everything, he wouldn't do this normally (especially to an enemy) but the day has been too much
Breakdown listens, a bit shocked that Blue Cop went through something similar, and does tell a bit of his own experience. Blue Cop is shocked as well, and the two talk for a bit. Both of them feel a bit better after the talk, knowing that someone knows what they went through. They do go back to their respective teams, but don't really fight each other anymore
Woah, this is dark but I blame MECH for that, you saw what they did to Breakdown's corpse
Anyway! Thank you Shrimp for the amazing ask! I hope you have a wonderful day and I wish you luck on your TF continuity!!

So I decided to see who CBR thinks is "underrated" in Transformers.

So, for number 10:

At this point, can we actually call Elita-1 underrated? She is one of the only female Cybertronians we talk about out of hundreds. Plus, she's been been added to more and more stories. Could she have more prominent roles? Yes, totally. But she's hardly underrated at this point.
Number 9:

This is what actually gave me hope for this list! I'm not personally very familiar with this character as he's from the Unicron Trilogy and I haven't watched much of it yet. He's also not one of the characters we see overused in this franchise.
Number 8:

THANK YOU! I am so sick of folks who can't tell the difference between "cowardice" and "not stupid enough to be reckless"! Rattrap carried the Maximals through a lot of sticky situations and Optimus Primal trusted him to lead in his absence for a reason!
Number 7:

I mean, IDW2 had a whole miniseries dedicated to this and Cliff is a main character of Energon Universe. As much as people joke that he gets killed all the time, TFP and the 2018 Bumblebee movie are the only real examples of that. Could he be featured more? Yes. But underrated? If he's your favorite, yes.
Number 6:

I mean, Jazz is an extremely popular character amongst fans for good reason. He's only underrated in the fact he is criminally underutilized in actual Transformers media (hopefully, he gets more spotlight in Energon Universe).
Number 5:

Yes, but also only looking at Rhinox as a "gentle giant" is underrating him. There's a whole episode where Megatron underestimates how dangerous and devious Rhinox can be if he's not holding back. He uses chain guns. In frustration, he grabbed Dinobot by the neck and told him to chill out. First episode, he charges straight through a stack of boulders. He can be a gentle giant, but he has more depth than that.
Number 4:

Third Beast character on the list! Woohoo! Kind of impressed, CBR. I haven't watched that far into Beast Machines to say though.
Number 3:

... I like Cyclonus, but can we genuinely say he's underrated? He hasn't been in many shows, but he's had highly prominent roles in the comics.
Number 2:

Point! There are more combiners than Devastator, Superion, and Bruticus. Especially if we approach Abominus from the fact we often say this team working with the Quintessons in the G1 cartoon.
Number 1:

Is Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime actually underrated? Um, I suppose he's often flanderized by fans and some writers as an annoying and impetuous young gun rather than how he actually was throughout season 3, tired and knows how heavy the burden of leadership. He's still a fairly prominent character in the franchise though.
Overall, an okay list. Some popular and well-used characters, but also some lesser known and I am very glad Rattrap gets some recognition.

BWs Rampage anon, I am also a Rampage enjoyer >:) I’m super ace but I had the biggest villain crush on him as a tween. Nowadays it’s like, yeah I’d wanna be the final girl to his serial killer-self. Also Transmutate made tween me cry and I was so relieved IDW made them friends. Him and Depth Charge are top tier.
YEAAHHHHH HELL YEAH!!! WELCOME TO THE FREAKY CLUB 😈 HEHDHD
Well actually by the sound of it sounds like you’ve been a fan of him longer than I have HAHSHEHE. And GOD YEAH that’s a great description of the peak dynamic actually…. being his objective must be fun <3
YES TRANSMUTATEEE 😭 still one of my all time favorite episodes. I actually don’t know much about her interpretation in IDW! I just know I’m. a little apprehensive towards it since… she’s kinda just a tfp Arcee recolor 😭 and to me her design as well as her functionality are both key to her story. But then again I barely know about idw so I might be wrong!!
They are absolutely top tier!!!!!!!

The Return of MECH
The sound of radio chatter crackled through the woods. Bumblebee froze, before hiding as much as he could among the trees. More chatter sounded not too far away, and Bumblebee took a peek.
He had to hold back a gasp.
His perp was there, unconscious and surrounded by a group of heavily armed, disturbingly familiar humans. The dark uniforms, the advanced weaponry, the military training...
'Scrap, scrap, scrap...!' Bumblebee pulled back as quickly and quietly as he could. 'What're they doing here? I thought they were gone after Silas disappeared!'
He tapped his comm., hissing, "Team, back to base. Now."
Claustrophobia
"You're not claustrophobic, are you?"
What Bumblebee wouldn't give to shake his helm in response. He settled for an annoyed sigh. "No, not yet, anyway."
He tried transforming into bipedal mode again, failed miserably, and groaned. "Primus, and I thought the inverse problem sucked, but this is even worse! What is it about my T-Cog that has everyone going after it?"
"Maybe you're just special," Smokescreen suggested.
Despite being cramped and irritated, Bumblebee couldn't help but chuckle at that. He really appreciated Smokescreen's company and awkward attempts at tactful levity.
"Didn't know being special came with so much grief," Bumblebee said drily.
Partner After Partner
Depth Charge groaned, pinching the area between his optics. "Slaggit. 'Bee, I'm beginning to think you're cursed."
"I just haven't found the right partner, sir."
"Really? What the slag was wrong with this one?"
"He's a hazard," Bumblebee exclaimed. "Even in the most low-risk situations! You can't tell me that's not a problem."
"And what was Twister's problem?"
"She's never sober." Bumblebee shook his helm. "Seriously, we need to get her help."
"Well, what about Shakedown?" Depth Charge snapped. "You can't tell me he wasn't a good cop!"
"Sure he was! And he wasn't gonna be going anywhere with me as his partner."
This is Why I Don't Have Partners
"You have nothing to do," his partner exclaimed confidently. "So what's the harm in living a little?"
"I said I'm not gambling, Taper," Bumblebee said exasperatedly. "Why are you trying so hard to get me to hang out with you? Until now, you've been just fine with- Oh, no..."
"What?"
Bumblebee groaned, refusing to look at his partner. "Taper, please tell me this isn't some ploy to get me to watch your back because your gambling problem has finally got you in trouble."
Taper hesitated briefly before laughing. "What? Why the slag would you think that?"
"Oh, sweet carrier of Primus..."
Yeah, That was a Bad Time
The 'Con had gone straight for the throat and squeezed, possibly looking to pop his helm off. Bumblebee didn't know, but when his throat began to dent under the pressure and his voice box began to crackle, it was as though a switch had been flipped.
Strongarm later reported the arrest to be quick, though painful for everyone involved. Bumblebee had no way of judging for himself. He hadn't been mentally present for most of it. His team had eventually snapped him out of his panic, and it was clear they were concerned and looking for an explanation.
Bumblebee didn't give them one.
#posting from THE ARCHIVES#365 drabbles challenge#i did not write enough drabbles about bee's time as cop on cybertron but what few i did write i really enjoyed#fyi the twister and shakedown mentioned in 'partner after partner' and taper in 'this is why i dont have partners' are all made up character#i can barely for the life of me discern why i decided depth charge was bumblebee's boss???#all i can guess is that he might be based on his tfa incarnation? i kinda doubt i based him on his beast wars version#anyway with all this said 'yeah that was a bad time' is probably my all time favourite drabble i wrote for bumblebee#bumblebee#tfp bumblebee#rid2015 bumblebee#smokescreen#tfp smokescreen#i dont wanna tag depth charge... i still have no idea which version he is based on ^-^'#transformers#transformers prime#robots in disguise 2015#fanfiction#transformers fanfiction#HardyGal writes stuff#HardyGal writes fanfiction

TFP rant: Ultra Magnus and why he felt so boring and forgetful to me
Anyone who follows me for some time knows that Ultra Magnus is one of my favourite characters in the Transformers Franchise, second only to Megatron.
However, none of this fondness for the character came from TFP, sadly. It was my first show and I still love it!
And blaming his overall screentime was my reasoning for this. TFP has 60+ episodes and he only appeared in maybe 12 of them.
But tbh, you can’t blame this on the screentime, because there are characters that have just as much screentime as him, but managed to be far more interesting and memorable!
Which ones? TFP Shockwave and BW Depth Charge
Let’s start with Depth Charge under the cut ~
Depth Charge has his debut in season 3 episode 2 of Beast Wars, a show with 52 episodes, the third season having 13.
But right from the gate Depth Charge is engaging, why?
Just his opening line is kinda brilliant xD Maximal computer: “This place has been deemed forbidden by the council.” Depth Charge: “Fuck the council.” (not literally, but you get the point)
I know that’s my bad guy loving sensors acting up, but this does make him interesting! Because he’s a good guy, but he doesn’t seem like one at first glance!
He hates authority, he’s a loner, he has a really manacing aura around him and he’s here for ~ REVENGE ~
Two minutes of this guy and we already know some stuff about him that is interesting and piques the viewers curiosity.
And then there is another factor - Who does he wanna take revenge on?
The answer is Rampage, a character the audience already knows!
Rampage appeared in season 2, and in his debut episode we learn that he is a failed experiment and immortal killing machine who had to be locked in stasis because of how much mayhem and death he caused.
And that is why Depth Charge is after him! And that’s why the audience cares!
Depth Charge is connected to something already established in the show, something that the audience cares for!
Depth Charge’s debut episode is also that - his debut! It is devoted to explain him and his dynamic and history with Rampage and it does a perfect job at establishing tboth.
Depth Charge saves Cheetor from drowing at the beginning of the episode to show that he belongs to team good guy, but he isn’t exactly nice about it - shows character!
Then we have his beef with Rampage, and Rampage himself gets to be characterized as well by being happy about Depth Charge being here to hunt him down, he enjoys their fighting. (a unique dynamic he doesn’t have with anyone else)
Last but not least, the episode also shows us Depth Charge’s dynamic with Optimus, that they used to be friends up until the whole Rampage shit happened and that Depth Charge used to be completely different as well.
Optimus wants Depth Charge to join the team, but Depth Charge tells him to fuck himself (not literally, but still)
And that’s all about his first episode, his story with Rampage keeps going, he drives that conflict, but also starts conflict with the Maximals because of it, his scenes with Optimus were few, but they had weight behind them because of their conflict.
Like fucking hell, spoiler, but in no other show did I see Optimus getting so fucking pissed at one of his comrades to the point that he threatened them with violence! And that was not Optimus being unreasonable, it was all Depth Charge being an ass, a consistent ass whose motivations we understand!
Compare this to Ultra Magnus - his first scene established two points:
1. he Optimus’ second in command
2. He’s strict and militaristic
And that second point is his entire fucking character in this show! And the first point doesn’t even come up that much!
How did my little brother put it?
“He was just there to be the mean boss no one liked.”
Okay, let’s talk about what Depth Charge had that Ultra Magnus had not:
1. An episode to explore his motivations
Ultra Magnus doesn’t have an episode all to himself to explain what his deal os. That’s because he doesn’t have any deal, he’s just on Earth to support the team and that’s where it ends.
2. Connection to something already in the show
He was Optimus’ second in command, but the dynamic between them isn’t any different then the dynamic Optimus has with any other autobot. This isn’t like Rampage and Depth Charge where you instantly get hooked into their hatred, or Depth Charge and Optimus, where you get a feeling about their current and past dynamic.
Ultra Magnus is in charge during missions and that’s where it ends
3. Driving conflict
Now, Ultra Magnus does have conflict with Wheeljack and the overall autobot dynamic. HOWEVER, with the Wheeljack thing it’s Wheeljack who drives the conflict. Ultra Magnus is just being himself, it’s Wheeljack who has a problem. Ultra Magnus doesn’t learn anything here and I have to say that the conflict itself is almost the same one Wheeljack had with Optimus the season before so- it wasn’t interesting to me.
And the thing with the autobot dynamic - Ultra Magnus is all about holding up order and rules, but that makes no one appreciate him, why? Because the Autobots on Earth arent a military unit, they are ~ family ~ And Ultra Magnus has to learn that.
Now ignoring the fact that they never feel like a family to me (more like people in a long-ass group project), Ultra Magnus doesn’t learn this shit.
He gets his hand destroyed and then Optimus tells him what a family is and that’s it.
There was no real conflict in this either, Ultra Magnus was just a little sad that people didn’t appreciate him. They weren’t even mean to him or anything.
And when the conflict was resolved, no one cared about it either, it was really just Ultra Magnus getting a new hand and Optimus saying “we are family :)” and that was it. His dynamic didn’t get deeper with anyone.
Nothing heartfelt, nothing intense, nothing interesting!
And it’s a shame, because I would have loved to see some good Ultra Magnus&Optimus dynamic in this!
Know who had a great interesting dynamic? Shockwave! With Starscream!
Now we get to Shockwave, a character who has almost as much screentime as Ultra Magnus, but manages to be so much more interesting and compelling ~
How? Let me walk you through these same points again:
1. An episode to explain his motivations
Gotta admit, Shockwave doesn’t have an episode to just himself either. What he does have, however, is a motivation: Space jurassic park!
The whole plot of season 3 is because Shockwave decided to clone some motherfucking dragons and just for that he’s memorable! What plot did Ultra Magnus bring to the table, huh?
2. Connection to something already in the show
Now Shockwave does use a little cheat, because he appeared in a flashback in season 2. But regardless, it did give him a connection to our favourite stiletto-wearer, Starscream. I mean, the scene in which Shockwave appears in season 3 has Starscream being like “oh fuck shit no-” and that alone makes Shockwave compelling - He is here to start some beef with Starscream!
And they do have beef! Interesting and awesome drama, yay!
That’s what we’re here for!
Right onto point 3, conflict!
He has this whole “daddy loves me more than you” dynamic with Starscream and it’s hilarious to watch! Starscream is also not having a good time and the cause is Shockwave actively working on making Megatron a happy little evil lord. Let’s not forget that two times Shockwave was ready to obliterate Starscream!
See, this is what I mean!
Something exciting and compelling!
Depth Charge and Shockwave manage to bring something exciting, interesting and fun to watch into their shows.
Ultra Magnus does not: He doesn’t actively do anything that makes Wheeljack dislike him, he doesn’t learn anything, he doesn’t have an interesting dynamic with his boss with whom he should have one and overall, he also doesn’t have much of a personality.
Shockwave doesn’t have one either, but his one character trait of being logical all the time at least features into the story in two very intense scenes.
As long as a characteristic brings something to the story, it doesn’t matter how few a character has.
But Ultra Magnus’ strictness doesn’t have that kind of effect in the show.
And that why I found him boring.
Sooo, hope you liked my rant, if you disagree feel free to tell me ~ :D

Tfp version of Depth Charge...
His symbiotes/deployers get in constant sass off with Lazorbeak. Likely they would also sass at Soundwave too....from the safety of the water.

This is Predacon RP blog [TFP alike verse, but she skips detentions], so come poke the Giant Pirate Lady! OCs, humans and odd aliens.
This is also my Main, so it may seem strange that I followed you or liked your stuff. I have side blogs for rps of other characters.
Bioshock:
@inthedepths Becoming aware Big Sister that lives in Rapture but will come to the surface for supplies [things and people], newer blog, crossover friendly
Fallout:
@mamavalcalaw Post-post apocalyptic. An aware and talking Deathclaw and her human Pack Sister, Lana. They’re trading while exploring and looking for seed vaults/bunkers, trying to find new plants and spreading others. And make friends! Can cross over with other verses.
Pacific Rim:
@scrapperclassjaeger An aware Jeager, something happened to Scrapper in everything that happened. Her AI imprinted on Kia, copied neural pathways of the humans that were in her, to the point that now, Scrapper is not unlike a younger child mixed with awareness. She has a new frame and is on an island to train, learn from new Pilots and engineers
Transformers:
@wreckerforeman Mostly movie Roadbuster with some canon divergence with a heaping dose of Headcannons. He will ‘kidnap’ people into the crew if he likes you, or tries to. If you’re a lone kiddo... you’ll likely be adopted by yell-y robot dad
@omicronsurvivor canon divergent Depth Charge, mostly depicted Post Beast Wars but can rp in season. He’s quiet, sometimes he can’t talk easily or doesn’t from Rampage/Protoform X inflicted damage. Depth Charge is at a semi stage of healing mentally, and has a Transmetal mutation making him ‘grow‘ over the years.

I while back I made a post where I chronicled my disappointment with TFP Megatron upon learning that he was basically just the IDW version of Megatron without the nuance or depth.
Like take the IDW one, imagine that instead of gradually losing he way because of circumstance the corruption of power, he just got really salty that his boyfriend got bigger approval for saying “No murder” instead of “Yes murder”, add a space-coke addiction, and you’ve got TFP Megatron.
But then the other day I had a revelation that changed everything, and made me re-evaluate my stance on the Prime incarnation of Megatron from the ground up.
He’s not a poor man’s IDW Megatron.
He’s G1 Galvatron.
Seriously, this dumbass pops out of a portal, goes to Earth and within the span of, like, a year at most, completely fucks up the perfectly adequate operation that Starscream is running, runs through a bunch of hairbrained schemes where he keeps getting distracted by fights with his ex, and then dies.
Seems like a mediocre resume, especially considering for all the show treats Starscream’s bragging about killing Cliffjumper, that is a 100% increase on any of the other Decepticons in terms of killing Autobots.* Megatron gets zero Autobot kills.** So yes, Starscream should be in charge, because not only did Megatron’s return kick-start the chain of events that ended the war, but the only thing Megatron kills are Vehicons.
*Seaspray and Tailgate don’t count, they weren’t even characters.
**Bumblebee doesn’t count, he was dead for like three seconds and then got back up and put a sword bigger than he is through Megatron’s chest.
So yeah, that was disappointing, but then I worked it out. He comes back from wherever he fucked off to between the prequel books and Darkness Rising with his space-cocaine, and the space-cocaine is the Blood of Unicron. He’s a raving lunatic that keeps everyone in-line by fear instead of actually inspiring loyalty. He assaults and outright murders his own troops.
He’s Galvatron.
And, for a moment, I was happy. I’d cracked the code and I was now able to enjoy him as something unique.
But now I’m disappointed again because we don’t have an episode where Soundwave finally runs out of patience and teams up with Starscream and Knock-Out to send Megatron to the Therapy Planet.

RAMBLING ABOUT TFP MEGATRON AGAIN:
And this is not me hating on him so if you hate him and wanna yell at people who don’t, scroll on by! I’m not glorifying him either!! Please dont accuse me of condoning his actions!!
Also I wrote literally whatever came to my mind so this is rambling and I apologize if anything here makes no sense. Or grammar. Or spelling. Etc. Also I’m kinda in the middle of a class so I couldnt like,,,google stuff so I’m going based on what i remember reading and seeing in the show. tbh not incredibly long.
ALSO THIS ISNT DIRECTED AT ANYBODY I SWEAR I WAS JUST THINKING OUT LOUD FOR A WHILE UHM. THERE.
And I hope I didn’t accidentally contradict myself. I wrote something very similar to this once but idk if it’s still up so here’s my current trains of thoughts o//o
Anyway
I respect your opinion but I still liked TFP Megatron and I understand him. Not that I justify his actions, but anyway I really did like him and wished so many things hadn’t happened to him in the first place. Had he been born to a fair Cybertron, he’d have lived a good life, and I bet he would be a respected, adored figure. He’s not inherently a destructive, abusive, jerk. But the life he lived first messed him up, I think permanently too. Even as Megatronus, the gladiatorial champion, a public figure who many listened to, there was something--a lot of things--wrong inside him. I know I’ve said this before but it wasn’t all his fault and I’m just sad every time I see Megatron hate because he really was a tortured soul that really didn’t know any better. Then, once he did, he was too far gone into the depths of the evils he’d committed thus far and probably thought a few things: that he was unworthy of change and therefore couldn’t, that he liked this feeling of power and no limitations--which he never had before. Yes, he murdered people, lied to them, used and abused them, and ultimately made his quest for revenge and justice into a power grab, but at first, it was untamed anger and resentment for all those who had lived above him (literally or in terms of class) and he wanted to show them. I think he got carried away and lost himself in the process. Which is why you have that scene at the end of the movie where he just flies away.
I have no evidence for these claims, just some strong, gut feelings. And my heart. There’s a part of me that always wants to understand a person at least, to know why and to see if it really was entirely their fault. idk that makes no sense but I know we’ll never know what he was really thinking when he did this stuff. I’m just guessing.
Just like Megatronus, the Prime, who a lot of us have sympathy for by the way and want to forgive, he realized his mistakes and exiled himself. Also I’m aware that the causes were different and Megatron chose to do more wrong that Megatronus did, and it was indeed Megatron’s fault most of the time, I think he also deserves some kind of understanding at least and not all hate. I will never truly hate Megatron because I know the dark place he came from and how he had to literally fight to gain everything he had. He had a real motive, too. He’s never ever been “evil just bc” and sometimes TFP didn’t portray his real underlying motives as well. But if you analyze him fully using all the lore and details made available....there’s a lot more to him than was shown in the series.
Idk point is, I’ve said this before, I just want to express how he’s not the worst of the worst kind of evil. More than any other Megatron, he really deserves a second look and a lot more understanding. Not justification, understanding. At least if you call him evil, know that it’s because he was messed up first. And that we can blame the Cybertronian caste system, which in the end, was the cause of all this injustice. After the Quintessons left, the ones in charge made a deal in a backroom and decided they’d like to stay in power and keep this oppressive system their invaders used. That’s more evil than anything. And look at the absolute mess they made with it.
Uhhh so yeah please no debates again I respect everyone’s opinions I’m just expressing mine and I’m also not standing by or saying that any of the really terrible things Megatron has done were ok. They were not. All I’m tryna do is debunk this whole “He was evil just because lol” kinda arguments because he wasnt.

On the topic of your last post I agree with you that there needs to be more in depth with megs and Starscream but honestly? I think the reason it falls flat so much is because most of the writers writing them don’t actually know how abuse works. Like, in essence abuse is a love/hate relationship, but that doesn’t mean it’s GOOD. It’s not a good relationship, and if they want to go with abuse they need to stop writing it in such a one dimensional way. It’s just, Yikes most of the time.
I definitely agree that a lot of the writers just don't understand abuse. Unfortunately, I don't think an education would help much because the issue is with the way the writers want to handle the characters - not so much the abuse itself, though the handling of that just gets worse and worse.
I haven't seen Animated and I refuse to watch Cyberverse, but I've heard enough to know they and TFP follow a similar trend: Megatron is a more serious character who has no patience for traitors, and Starscream is a traitor and a deserter who almost spends more time on his own than he does with the Decepticons (and yes, no matter his reasons, Starscream is both of those things from a military perspective. I'm not condemning him for it, but it is what it is). This speaks almost directly to the way a lot of G1 fans thought Starscream was horrible and that Megatron was stupid for letting him live. And now that the younger generation is in charge, that's exactly how they're portrayed: Megatron is "smart" enough not to let Starscream live, and Starscream is treated as irredeemable.
This is, of course, a gross oversimplification of both characters, and it makes any sort of meaningful relationship between them almost impossible. You could remove the abuse entirely and there would still be nothing to build on, because the whole point is that Starscream is a traitor and Megatron isn't putting up with it. Changing either of those portrayals enough to handle any relationship respectfully would require the writers to either let Megatron make exceptions - which isn't acceptable because then he'd be stupid - or else consider the possibility that Starscream is not, in fact, a self-centered power-hungry jerk 100% of the time. But that would mean figuring out some other characterization, and that's just too hard.
In short, you get out of a relationship what you put into it. And until we get some writers who are willing to let the characters be more complicated as individuals, they're never going to be able to engage with each other in any way that isn't limited by the stereotypes chosen for them. And that frustrates me.

Hey may I please request tfp soundwave going into a heat rut and his bot s/o helping him
I got three asks all along the same track of thought so I decided to combine them. I hope you all like it. Fair warning though: I wrote this mostly after getting my wisdom teeth removed on 1600 mg of ibuprofen. Yay! Drugs! So have fun
The message had been ominous and strange. All the words had been strangely garbled for Soundwave who’s normally so organized and even refined. Trepidation fires through the little bot’s circuits as they answer the call to come to Soundwave’s quarters. They knock on the door but when they receive no answer after a long moment, they put in the familiar pin to themself into SOundwave’s domain. They’ve been here many times before, quite familiar with the large screens that now serve as the only light source in the crowded room, filled to the brim with tech. The doors shut firmly behind them, trapping the little bot in the room who has no intention of turning back now that they’ve made it this far. The lack of presence of their dear Soundwave is concerning all on its own and they begin to worry for his sake. That’s when they notice something heavy in the air, a smell like over-clocked mechanisms and warm oil clouds the air around them, making them feel warm and hazy. Continuing on into the depths, they follow the scent into the deep recesses of Soundwave’s dwelling to be welcomed by stuttered, heavy vents. What they see makes them pause.
Soundwave, his face flickering languidly and in time with his ragged vents while his plates flare out, letting spirals of steam float through the cool air. Lower, they see his long digits digging into the soft mass of a pillow and his spike, its purple biolights glowing brightly has stalled in his desperate thrusts against the pillow that’s now stained pink with transfluid. With that, everything immediately clicks into place: Soundwave is in a rut and called them there to help. Fire seems to flood through their fuel lines at the realization, an overwhelming heat making its way to their interface array. Soundwave stares intently at them, his face, blank as ever, as he stays quiet then he stands up while discarding the pillow to the side. He moves to kneel before the small bot and brings his hands up to cup their hip and the cusp of their torso. Leaning in to press his faceplate against their chest, he lets out a gentle rumble like a quiet plea, one of the few sounds he makes with his true voice and even then, just when it’s the two of them. His appendages that are reminiscent of tentacles come up and gently stroke their frame, urging them on in silent request.
They gently push him from their frame just to take ahold of his hand so they can pull him towards the berth. A thrum of charge peaks in Soundwave’s systems, letting his little mate know how excited he truly is with a crackle that emanates through the air. As soon as they lay back on the berth, Soundwave is upon them, nuzzling into their chest, the heat clouding around their frame, making them feel dizzy, almost light-headed. It’s clear that they haven’t been totally unaffected by Soundwave’s rut as they open their panels to reveal their wet valve. Soundwave runs a delicate digit over their folds before pressing into their entrance to tease their nodes. They can see how much this is putting a strain on him to keep his control, his frame practically shaking from the effort of not just taking them already. Warmth fills the little bot’s spark knowing and seeing -especially now- how much Soundwave cares for them with how careful he always is with them, how patient. The feeling of those gentle fingers inside them makes them gasp as he curls them delicately, then another is added, making them grab onto his pauldrons as they buck into the touch.
“Come on,” they gasp, “I can take it. I know you want to be inside me already.”
Another rumble shakes their petite frame as he slides his digits out and moves to loom over them, his much larger frame shadowing the little bot. Soundwave balances on one hand and cups their helm with the other as his tendrils wrap tightly around their thighs, spreading them open for him. His spike slides through their wet folds, grazing over their anterior node, earning another buck from his little mate. Sliding back almost painfully slow, he pushes into their entrance as they arch their back at the feeling of being filled, his spike stretching them so nicely. They dig into the berth almost to the point of gouging into it as he begins to thrust into them. It’s forceful as he pushes into them but slow and rhythmic so they can feel the entirety of his spike inside them all at once. He drags slowly out after every thrust in, pulling at the folds of their valve and dragging over nodes, sending delightful little peaks of charge up their frame. They grasp onto what they can as they writhe helplessly on his spike as he goes faster and faster, rocking their while frame.
As his thrusts begin to become frantic, he pins their hands to the berth and raises their legs up higher with his tendrils to thoroughly immobilize them. They can do nothing but whimper and moan, captive in his grasp as he uses them with lubricant soaking his spike, making it all sound so obscene. It’s intoxicating to see him lose control like this all for them, eventually feeling his thrusts stutter as his spike twitches inside them as he spills hot transfluid in their valve. They moan at the feeling but are still firmly on the edge of overload but Soundwave doesn’t disappoint. He barely slows as he recovers from his overload, thrusting slowly but no less enthusiastically, his rut granting him a surprising amount of stamina. As he coaxes them to overload, he leans down and nuzzles the crook of their neck.
“May I spark you?” he asks in a voice they’ve never heard before, a voice seemingly lost to time. It wasn’t garbled in a mix of voices but clear, a whole sentence in one voice. They wonder for a moment what it could be from, maybe an old movie, an ex-partner, or even a scandalous porn vid from the black market. Whatever the case may be, they take it in hungrily as another secret piece of Soundwave they get to have, a piece reserved just for them.
“Yes,” the little bot gasps, “Spark me. Fill me up so I can carry your sparklings. Please.”
Their words drive him in a frantic haze, lifting them up so he’s thrusting up into them. He drags one hand down their frame to play with their node, bringing them into a sudden overload. Then he slides them off his spike easily, their small, light frame weighing practically nothing in his arms. Transfluid and lubricant drip from their valve as he flips them around and pushes them firmly into the berth while lifting their aft up to him so he can sink his spike into them once more. He takes them in that new position, holding down their twitching frame as he bucks in roughly and quickly into them. They hold on to the berth as their whole frame rocks then they get pushed down when soundwave spills into them again, filling them with more transfluid. He fills them like that again and again with overload after overload that’s drawn from their frame until they collapse into his hold. Taking a moment to steady himself after the last overload, he comes up, sliding his spike free from their valve, letting lubricant and transfluid gush from it. He traces a digit appreciatively along their folds as they vent heavily on the berth before scooping them up gently in his arms, holding them close.
They’re close to drifting away, feeling safe and warm against Soundwave, then they’re jostled by moving plating that reveals Soundwave’s brightly glowing spark. Knowing without asking what he wants, they let their own chestplate transform away and gingerly lean in and when their sparks meet it’s an explosion of sensation and color that wracks their frame with pleasure like no other. When the feeling ebbs away and they come back to themself, they collapse in Soundwave’s arms, close to falling into recharge. As they fade away, a gruff voice breaks the quiet.
“Thank you, my love.”
And with that, they fall into a deep recharge with a small smile on their face.
