Bloody hell. Rowan's Cipher asks a lot of questions. I know he doesn't know a lot about me, and I do love sharing about myself. But I can't help but feel that this kinship of ours can only last so long. If I was him, I would take the info and fuck off. ... Then again, there's no real way to do that. He's too desperate, as am I. I just hope he doesn't betray me. (OQAU UGPK AMSK DZGY TGRC ZESO WXXZ RTYG EYNB QCSE TXCS XGMA GSIT MNAR FRGF QVOZ KINH E.)

But seriously if it's too stressing pick only one It can be harder to actually have a chill when it comes to writing, but it's a hard lesson I've come to learn in the past few months
Yeah, same here. I did NaNoWriMo in a way (30 drabbles with 500 words max) and then a Secret Santa and I still have a WIP going that wants to be finished.
I think I might have to do some inventory, story-wise and see what I have. I think I trick myself into believing that either of them needs to be something long and winding when I don’t have to meet a certain word count for TGRC. And coming up with 10k for the Big Bang is also workable. Somewhere my masochistic writer brain is trying to fool me into a multi-chaptered piece when I really don’t need to write one.
You know what I mean?

Projects and Passion...
I've always got a dozen or so projects on my desk in varying states of completion. What happens is an idea will strike me as interesting, and I'll begin working on it (finding some websites for research, doing a few sketches, that kind of thing). Then something else will strike me as interesting and I begin working on that, and the cycle repeats. Eventually I have so many tabs open in my browser that it doesn't load any pages properly, and so much junk on my desk that I can't find what I'm looking for. And then I begin the cleanup process of tossing the materials for projects that I'm just not interested in anymore, or don't feel like I'll actually do anything further with.
What I've found is that working on a project just because it's on the list, tends to end with me getting distracted and not accomplishing much in the time I've set aside for it. I end up researching tangents, browsing unrelated forums. Even the work I do on the projects isn't generally of much use. I'll end up researching something that, while related, doesn't actually have anything to do with what I'm trying to accomplish, like listening to Heroditus' Histories when trying to work on an RPG based on the Roman Republic.
Best guess is that if I'm not working on a project that's close to my heart at the time, I end up being unclear on what the core of the project really is. On what the project is supposed to accomplish, and be. For the next few months I'm going to try to focus my project time on tasks that I feel some kind of emotional connection to, rather than just whatever random item I pull of of my list.
On that note, I should probably be working on the photoshoot right now. I'm just not sure what I can really do with it with no money, no (decent) camera, and no costumes. I suppose I could see about getting a trial version of Photoshop and messing around with the filters, as that's one effect I plan to use on it. I also could probably look for some of the graphics I need for the final project (I'm going to need a picture of the stars for example), and I also should probably look into finding a good location for the shoot (well, a couple locations actually).
The hard part is trying to only work on the project that speaks to me, when I have a clear idea already of what kind of research I need to do for the other ones. I know I need to look up the provinces and political positions available during the Roman Republic for TGRC, whatever form that may eventually take. I know I need to look up Pueblo mythology for my The Fourth World campaign. But right now I don't have a firm connection with the "heart" of those projects, of what I want to accomplish with them. I do have that connection with the photoshoot.
